App will not load due to a “cloud service” being unavailable.
Update: App is now working and the devices are working great. Hopefully their servers will continue to work as expected. The device will not work properly without the application and the application will not work until their “cloud service” is working. I have emailed and they say they are working on it and will have it resolved soon but according to other reviews it’s not getting fixed soon. Sad to spend a lot of money on something only to not work because of an app not working. I will revise the review once the hearing devices work properly.
I bought these heating aids on the first of January with total anticipation of being able to use them to their fullest potential. Initially I saw there was issues with the app registration, specifically uploading the privacy statement to their cloud. I thought I’d wait and see if this was some type of online maintenance yet here we are, 1/5 and it is still down. For a company like Jabra to not have processes in place for this to be fixed in a timely manner is not great. Secondly, I tried contacting their support on 1/2 but learned that their webpage is not intuitive at all and had to set up a Twitter account in order to make contact. Utilizing forums to communicate with support like a review in the App Store or through Twitter is really cumbersome. Lastly, I have corresponded each day since through Twitter despite not liking that platform for updates and all I get is “we are working on it!” Or something like that. What a horrible experience. I am sure the app will be working at some point but Jabra needs better processes in place of issues like this occur again. If our webpage or our cloud is ever down at work we are back up in a day and our customers get more than a “we are working it fast and thanks for your patience!”
The app is very rudimentary in design without the ability to truly customize your hearing experience like some competitive products do. Two of the three program settings are completely useless. I have to use surround the entire time to hear clearly, which means when I put the Jabra Enhance in, I have to open the app, wait for it to connect, and then select surround from the menu. Hopefully, in a future update, it will retain last used settings to fix this. Also, they just launched a firmware update for the devices, and I can’t load it because it says I have no internet access (even though it downloads the firmware). I have tried it on my wifi (gigabit fiber over a mesh network), and 5G to no avail. I’ve turned off the vpn and other protective software to ensure they aren’t an issue either.
Love how it amplifies the conversations so I hear & understand everything! But better still it ties in with the incoming phone calls which I can answer by tapping the button on the ear buds. Then if there’s distracting background noise you can mute the ear buds which now act like ear plugs!!! What’s really amazing is that while in mute mode you can still take incoming calls - talk on the phone and have the background noise muted!! These have “enhanced “ my marriage and made my wife very happy and help me to better understand what people at work are saying. Now I know why they are called ENHANCE!!!
Love the product but they disconnected and now I can’t get them to reconnect. I have also developed sores in my ears. My husband asked if they felt hot or like they were burning my skin because there 2 small sores were the little charging dots ( don’t know what to call them) are.
I have not been able to connect my Jabras to both my iPad and my iPhone. I believe it is because I already have an hearing device attached to me phone Bluetooth. This is very inconvenient as I have to choose between the devices. Would love to be able to have both my traditional hearing aids AND my Jabras connected via my phone because as it is I can’t really use my Jabras as much as I’d like. Other than that they are pretty spectacular.
Works really well but could use some additional features. One would be a slider for the speech tone would be much better than the 3 types buttons. Also, a slider for the volume and lose the buttons to go up and down. One the whole though I love my Jabras
App incorrectly reports that your firmware version was up to date. On my third pair of earbuds. Second replacement received 14-March 2024. Firmware version 6.5.11 on these fixes most problems I was reporting since Aug 2023. Previous pairs returned were firmware 6.2.11 with app reporting “up to date” firmware as recent as 22-Feb 2024 before returning again for replacement. Support was helpful but apparently not aware my earbuds were at down level firmware. Device levels were supplied multiple times. There seems to be a disconnect between development and support. Cannot be sure if you are at the latest firmware. App appears to have no ongoing development resources.
I am a 77 year old male with about a 30 to 40% hearing loss. The JABRA for me is okay considering the options of spending $2500 to $5000 for hearing aids that do not perform as well for me…..I have gone the expensive route previously. I do like the “ear bud” design as opposed to the conventional hearing aid.
Having the same issue as earlier reviews when the app attempts to submit the privacy consent form. This has been happening since I purchased them on Sunday. Worse part is that I have contacted Support and received a ton of apologies and the same troubleshooting steps over and over again. I have been in technology for decades and I would have been fired if I provided this kind of service to my customers!!
I am impressed with these hearing assist devices. At 84 years old, I was missing dialogue on television and needed to turn up the volume beyond what my wife needed. I am only using the right ear assist and it works very well.
Adequate for the price but the hearing aides frequently fall out of my ears, making social situations stressful. What happens when I lose one in a restaurant or a nightclub? I’m resorting to taping them to my ears. Not a pleasant option. I’m intermediate stage hearing loss, and the volume options are best described as fair. I’ll use these until I lose them or break down and get the high dollar options.
I love my Jabra Enhance Plus hearing aids and love the app. I’m able to control every listening situation easily. Amazing value for the price! I have raved about them to my considerable followers on social media.
Many calls/emails, app won’t work on my phone, got my IPad to connect to consent page, but it is very inconvenient, if I need to change a profile, I have to disconnect from my phone, connect with my IPad, save change, then disconnect from IPad reconnect to phone, etc. A great big pain from home, and impossible if I am away from home without my IPad. FIX THIS!
It’s good at focusing the mics either towards a speaker in front of you or ambient sound but I don’t hear any discernible cancellation of sounds beside the speakers voice. In other words I still hear too much environmental noise to improve my hearing of the person speaking or the music or phone call I’m trying to hear.
Expensive & will not work properly if you can’t access the app, multiple password reset requests & nothing to my email account including spam. I will not another pair of Jabra earbuds & wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Waste of $800 dollars.
I have been using it for my ultra quiet office environment. The folks here speak very quietly and I can’t pickup on much — hence the enhancer. Also, it doesn’t do that good of a job capturing audio as one would expect. I wish I could return… but it’s too late.
No equalizer to adjust settings to one’s own preference. Limited to the hearing test profile which cannot be adjusted. App sound is not enjoyable either for music or as a hearing aide. Shame as both could be easily fixed by incorporating user adjustable equalizer.
After 18 months the app fails. I talked to support multiple times. When I tried a firmware update it would not connect. New install of the app, failed . Now my $800 hearing aids are worthless, due to Jabra and the app.
Cannot activate the earbuds, same problem as everyone else. 700 dollars paid for a device that cannot be activated. No response from a customer support either
I can not use the app. It’s stuck at Privacy Policy screen with the alert “we are not able to submit your consent as the cloud service is temporarily unavailable”
Impossible to set up new Jabra Enhance Plus because the app is continuously stuck on the Privacy Policy. Please resolve this issue before I send them back!!!
