I have been enjoying Just 2 Words for a while now. Some of the pictures are pretty easy to figure out and others are more difficult because you don’t know what part of the picture is important. There are types games and that helps. Points accumulate as you win each game. I’m glad for the option to use the points to get a hint but try to do that only when I’m really stumped! The game is like Jumble but using pictures instead. So if you like that kind of word game you will like this too!
Really only complaint about this game app, like someone else already noted, is too few coins earned for a successful solve and too many coins required for “hints”. Also, here’s another hint; have access to an anagram solver app or the like to help you solve some of the levels. It’s awkward, but it works most of the time when you have insufficient coins and can’t afford the tariff to purchase the coins. Otherwise, kudos to David L. Hoyt and his team there ...
The object of the game Is to look at two pictures and figure out what two words they represent. It isn’t as easy as it sounds sometimes because you have to figure out whether it’s the picture itself or some quality about the picture that solves the puzzle. Some of them are very challenging, but that’s what makes it interesting. I always play it daily because it’s a good mental workout.
I love the game and play it daily. I’ve played through it from start to finish multiple times. I would have rated it 5 stars, but as has been noted in other reviews, it needs to be updated more frequently (hence having played through from start to finish multiple times). Same with “Just Two Words” and “Just Jumble”. I love playing them, I just hate having to start over at the beginning every couple months.
When I discovered this app, I tried it and thought - gosh this may be too hard for me. I have been a jumble lover for many years and look forward to it in my local paper every day. However, this game proved more challenging. But I did my best to solve one every day. It’s been awhile now and I can usually solve the puzzles in short order without the hints. Thanks for my morning brain training!
Not since my school days have I given thought to the part of my brain activated by word scrambles like this. This game is a mix of visuals and language and it feels like it's stimulating part of my brain that I haven't worked in awhile. The puzzles get harder with experience and they're super fun to figure out. Easy to learn and great for waiting rooms and other down time to get the mind off stress. Love this app!
Love the game but it freezes too much you can play for weeks than it won’t work for weeks I be written before and someone got back to me to try something which I don’t remember but it got it to work for over a year or more now it freezing again. I have been playing this for quite a while but only once per day. I have finished all the puzzles and have been have been waiting for new puzzles for a couple of months. If no new ones appear soon, I’ll delete the app. *update* Same problem AGAIN! I play one game per day. If you add, for example, ninety new puzzles every ninety days, this would not happen. Disappointed. If it were not for this problem, I would give five stars. *Update* After several months, I gave up on waiting and deleted this app.
Another fun brain game from Mr. David L. Hoyt. A big improvement on the original version with greater variety designed to make you think from a creator who cares about the well being of his customers, a rarity in today’s world. Why would anyone waste time crushing candy when games like this and Jumble are available?
I love this Scrambled word game. It is straight forward and really makes one think! Being stumped means a save for later without losing game progress. I Love that this game has No utsey cutesey gimmicks! I am really glad I added this game as I also enjoy Just Jumble as well and look forward to more fun creative games from David and Jeff! 😸😺😸😺😸😺😸😺😸
I have enjoyed this game. I would give it five stars except for the following: I am VERY disappointed that new games are not added more often. I only allow myself one game a day and have to go back to the beginning and replay games. Wish they would create more games and keep heir loyal players happy.
I LOVE word games. I’m addicted to a number of them, but this is my favorite. It makes you think outside the box, but aren’t too hard once you get used to them. Some puzzles are harder than others, but it’s a great feeling when you figure them out. Highly recommend this game.
Between this and Jumble I am puzzle happy! My children like this game better as it’s a little easier (they have trouble with Jumble Puns and play on words). The whole family can enjoy this game and it becomes a race to see who can get the answer first. Thank you David for keeping our minds sharp!
It’s been such a long time since we’ve seen new puzzles for Just 2 Words and Just 2 Words Plus. Are we ever going to see new games again or are you through with these two games? Please advise. Thanks so much.
Great game, very challenging, some days I can go through 10 puzzles in no time at all, other days I can be stumped 2-3 times in a row. I like this game since I think I use different parts of my brain, than I do with other word games
I played all of the Just 2 words original game until the end & thought great! Now what? Along comes Just 2 Words + & I am enjoying this one just as much. Makes my brain work. Most I can figure out without hints, but it's nice to have the back up.
Makes one really think. Some answers may come to you in an instant, while others you might be trying for days to figure out! When they really make you think, I love it!♥️
This is uniquely different than Jumble, and challenges you to think about the NYMs — antonyms, synonyms, homonyms, etc. Only problem is that I’ve already solved all 250 of the available puzzles and I am now sitting by waiting for an update with a new batch that the creator has promised.
Fun... makes you think... but WHY do I have to spell out BOTH words for the homographs. THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME WORD!! Do you think I will mis-spell it the 2nd time and you want to punish me??That’s stupid! STOP IT!! I’m sorry if I’m repeating my message. But it is not cleared. Every time I choose to rate the game my message is still there, so I have no idea if it’s being sent.
I installed this because I finished all the puzzles on Just 2 Words... I’m only sorry I didn’t do it sooner! It’s fantastic...I especially like the change up from just 2 words to rhyming 2 words, etc. David continues to amaze me! I’d give it a 10 if it allowed!
It’s been 5 months and I’m still waiting for new puzzles. Wish I could clear them all and do again without losing my points. Hope new ones are in the near future.
I have a puzzle that I solved, but then when I tried to go back it froze. There are no letters to choose anymore, and it freezes. The only way I could get rid of it was to skip that puzzle, but even now it won’t give me letters to get rid of it. Where is support?
I blew through all the puzzles in a week! They are a lot of fun to figure out. The variety keeps you on your toes! Thanks, David, for another fun game. Just 2 Words is a favorite so I was really happy to see the game Plus. Will you please make more puzzles for Plus?
I also enjoy the jumble and wanted to try a word puzzler when I finished the recent app. This puzzler is very challenging and I get frustrated sometimes. It’s especially tough when two pictures are shown and you have to make one word. But I do enjoy the successes.
This is more interesting than the first Just 2 words game. I like playing word games, but this one is a little easier than the first because it helps classify what to look for.
Love the game, but I have to play between 10 - 15 puzzles before I get 25 coins. Ideally I would like to be able to play a few puzzles at a time, rather than so many, just to get the 25 coins.
My husband & I are hooked!! We have to play before he can leave for work everyday!! Sometimes we have to involve the whole family to get the answer! Thanks David for keeping us connected!!

It’s a stimulating game and I enjoy playing it every day. My only complaint is that it freezes way too often. When it happens, I have to delete the app and wait for it to reload. This can be very irritating.
are entertaining, mentally stimulating, enjoyable - just like these! Keep them coming . . . please! Entertaining, engaging, sometimes exasperating, always enjoyable. Thoroughly enjoy the new puzzles. The temptation is to do them all now, rather than spacing them over several days! I need to make them last. New puzzles are challenging- some are quite easy, others ridiculously difficult Challenging game, but one which is worthwhile attempting. When completed successfully, there is a real and justified sense of accomplishment.
This is a great challenging game to play everyday. I keep coming back to play I have different games you offer on my phone and tablet keeps my mind sharp and have to think a little sometimes.
Often challenging because uses different kinds of matches between two words so first you have to get your head straight about the type you are dealing with. I like it!
In just two words fashion..... 🧠/🚂. Brain train! I start off slow but the more I play the better I get. Great brain training game. It gets me thinking in different ways. Helps with spelling and vocabulary. Thanks for a creative brain game!
As in the Just Jumble and Giant Jumble Crossword game apps from the same developer a very aggravating drumbeat sound starts when the game is launched. One solution posted by another reviewer is to use the mute switch on your phone to silence this while playing the games. But this, as well as the extremely infrequent updates, needs to be fixed.
The kind of words keep changing up and gets harder as you go along. I feel a sense of accomplishment each time a puzzle is solved. The change-up holds my interest!
This is mostly a fun and entertaining game. My only issue is the puzzles where both answers are exactly the same because there is no challenge to get a second answer once you have figured out the first one.
I enjoy exploring the use of words and the many meanings implied in the different combinations. When I play with this app I feel like I am making good use of my time and stretching my brain.

At first I thought it too easy, but it does become more challenging! Have even used a couple hints lately. Am on the supplement app now ... just as challenging and just as much fun!
Love the game, but playing 1 puzzle a day, I run out if puzzles long before you put more out here. It has been a year and nothing has been updated. Is this still an active app? I think not! Deleting your app!
Fantastic brain games. I got my husband to do them with me. Better than watching TV and really makes you think! So happy David has a whole new bunch for us!!
Really enjoy the puzzles. Usually just difficult enough to make me think but, occasionally, I’ll need a clue. Dave’s hint is usually enough to help me solve the puzzle. Highly recommend!
