I love it!! I’ve always wanted to be able to get my haircut every week and pay a membership to do so, instead of paying so much money every other week... now I get it done weekly at the price of 1 haircut! And the barbers I use at 59th ave location are amazing, friendly and do an awesome job! Why only 4 stars... cause the new app... is horrible!! I always have to enter everything every time I use the app... including log in every time... seems like super old tech honestly. Please please make it easier and better... at least remember something.... my login or my favorite location... just have the app remember something... please 🙏🏽
I recently moved to the Phoenix Area and have been searching for a new hair stylist. I tried Keepitcut and was satisfied with the price and services received despite certain stylists lacking any and all customer service skills (specifically when dealing with them over the phone, even if they call and leave a message that requires a call back). I learned of the app through the website but have never been able to book using the app. Among the “Remember Me” and auto-fill functionality not working, attempting to book a time is practically impossible. I book for myself as well as a guest and attempted to book only myself but still had issues successfully booking an appointment. The schedule will show times that don’t exist or are no longer available, preventing a time/stylist being booked or scheduling an appointment that cannot be fulfilled due to the time, availability, or stylist not existing. When re-scanning, the same schedule will appear or no times will show up at all. Booking on their website has some issues as well, though this is not as frequent as with the app. I suggest skipping the headache and just booking using their website.
Finally decided to cancel my membership due to this app. This app is so bad it’s hard where to start. App is written under MEEVO, which isn’t a big deal, but the app doesn’t remember you, even if you checked the remember me box. So every time you login you have to type in your email and password in because your app vaults won’t recognize the app because it’s registered under Meevo. Does that mean you just type MEEVO into your vault? Kinda of… but the app won’t recognize that your email and password have been entered. So you have to hit the submit button 5 or 6 times to get it to recognize. Does the app remember the location you go to every 2 weeks? Nope. Have to type in your zip every time. Overall, love the service but these guys need to put some $$$ into improving the app experience. I was responding to before, they told me they understand but it takes time to improve the app. Well it’s been two years since the last update you’ve had time.
I was directed to the app by a very short-with-people kinda girl who didn’t want to schedule me on the phone because I don’t think she knows how to be nice 🤭. Yeah I said it. She said all attitudinally , “📞💁🏼♀️we have to stop cutting hair to answer the phone, that’s why we have the app. Kay? Bye💁🏼♀️” She’s so sweet. So I got the darn app…and what’s cool is I have to keep signing into it, despite selecting the “remember me” option every single time 😄 (so…🤔…it’s a web link, not an app?) Then I select the day I am available and it KEEPS the heading “tomorrow” all big and bold… and just under it, it says tomorrow’s date, with “0 openings” written out all plain and visually quiet. then, just under that, it says the day AFTER tomorrow’s date with its availability all visually loud: a ton of openings! So unless you are vigilant to what the DATE is, and unless you read it all (despite the major heading “tomorrow” REMAINING overhead), you will wrongly schedule yourself and show up on the wrong date. I did🤦🏻♂️. And everybody laughed at me. 😆😂😆😂😆😂😆😂😆 Ok, nobody laughed. The girl (this one one much better with people) actually said she was sorry, but she admitted that it happens all the time. Which helped me not feel so embarrassed…though it’s embarrassing for KIC. Thanks KIC for spending $34 dollars to pay someone overseas to make your LAME APP!!!!
I have been a customer with a membership for over six years. This app has never been convenient. It has always been inconsistent and unreliable. Huge setback to the growth of the company. Over six years, I have never looked forward to logging into this app. when I do try to call in and make an appointment, they always refer me to the app. But I don’t wanna use the app, because I don’t know if it’s gonna work or not. I definitely love the service that you have always provided. But this app is definitely the largest downfall to the growth of your company. Why you will never keep me logged in, I don’t know. Why I try to schedule an appointment and it says that they are three days out, but then I called in, and they have one within a couple hours, I don’t know.
It was much easier and gave you a better outlook of who was available before...this has too many steps. Then, you pick someone only to find out they don’t work for the next 2 days. Before, you could see who is there and when they are available with just a couple of clicks. Seriously considering canceling. Go back to a similar format please!
My guess is the last app, which worked mostly for customers (had some bugs in it) was not as efficient for the employees who were constantly having issues with it on the backend. This new one is clearly for the employees and not the customers. Hope this app either gets reworked, or completely done away with as I will just be calling to set times rather than use it. Doesn’t remember login or tie to your membership clearly, convoluted sign-up with several unnecessary steps, and looks like it was made 10 years ago. Several steps back in regards to clarity/efficiency and simply a headache.
This review is for the app, not the service at the salon which is great. The app has many issues. It does not maintain login state. If you refresh the page by scrolling too far you lose all state in the app. The screens you navigate through do not format correctly for mobile devices. The screen extends beyond the edge of the screen and when you try to scroll over to get access to the submit buttons it often refreshes the page and then all state is lost. It very frustrating using the app.
The new and improved app needs - improvement. In the old system it was easy to move from location to location to look for available appointments. Now - the user has to log out and log back in to switch locations and look for their preferred stylist and / or appointment. Seems like this should have been a key feature to retain.
It took 4 attempts to book a haircut. It bounced me out several times and the feature to add to google calendar was way more cumbersome than other sites, asking for login and password while I was already signed in The quality of stylists is hit and miss so far, one very bad (Bryan) and one very good (Holly)
The unlimited hair cuts is a great idea and the team at Desert Ridge is great but trying to use this App is frustrating to the point I may not continue as I schedule everything and it keeps freezing up, or has a huge delay in updating. The calendar function doesn’t work with iPhone only Google or Outlook. Had to sign in several times as it resets for no reason. I’ll try another month and see…..
Love the app. But I have to log in every time manually instead of it remembering my login info with Face ID or something to that effect. Also, can’t change locations easily if one location is fully booked up.
I found within you company, some wonderful employees, alway satisfying with an awesome haircut by Marisa, Keren plus Ebony so professional making you feel welcome, been your loyal customer for a few years now because of these individuals wouldn’t go elsewhere!
It’s not user friendly at all. I waste so much time just booking an appointment. I’m very close to cancelling membership. For example, We should have the option to have a “home” saloon instead scrolling and trying to remember the address and then when it shows on the map you have to log back out to rebook. And stop telling members they owe money when booking when they have a membership
Needs improvement on multiple fronts. First of all you don’t stay signed in so you have to type in your email and password every single time. Then when you schedule an appointment if you want multiple services you have to set it up as multiple bookings rather than just selecting the services you want for one appointment. Overall it is cumbersome and inconvenient to use.
The ladies working at Keep it Cut are very professional and are great hair stylists, however the app that is forced on us is TERRIBLE. The fact that it makes the stylists job harder and the user infuriated because it refuses to remember any user and incapable of reschedules makes me want to cancel my subscription. My loyalty to my barber is the only reason I haven’t cancelled yet, but if you expect anyone to recommend this place then you need to update the app…
Having to login every single time it doesn’t remember any of your credentials or previous selections. I also seem to need to have two separate accounts for two different people. I’m getting by with just doing one account and then selecting “you and guest.” But it be nice if I could personalize it more without having to have separate accounts.
Every time I open the app, it requires me to sign even if I select “remember me”. Not very clear and requires scheduling process to be completely restarted in order to change location. A complete hassle to use and obviously is not made for the user. Would overall be better if it were more user friendly and had more settings. One star for the app not the company
This app is terrible. More than once I scheduled an appointment either at a wrong location or a different day than expected. Getting a cut by walking in is unlikely because the cuts are good, this app makes me hesitant to schedule. I’d give this app 1 star but this version is actually better than the version it replaced.
They have a few shops depending on the location is the quality of service. I drive a distance to go to thunderbird or mesa. I never wait long, make an appointment, done . I live in the west.
This app is awful. See all the other reviews. I really like the concept and service, but the app is making me reconsider and cancelling the service. Just copy the Sports Clip app. That one is simple and easy to use/book appt, and it remembers you every time (no need to constantly login and enter password every time you pull the app up).
I have a subscription for cut and trim. When I make an appointment in the app, it appears I’m being charged extra for the trim. Melissa my hairdresser says on her end I’m not paying extra, and I’ve never been charged extra, but the app is confusing.
App has potential, but it’s not so user friendly. You have to click on way too many options to get to what you want. The old version as simple as it was was easier to navigate. IMO off course.
Having to choose a salon and log in each time is not very convenient. Your previous system was MUCH easier. Also trying to select multiple services is very difficult.
This app is really bad. The old app was a lot easier. It takes forever to make an appointment. I understand they were having some bugs with the old app but they need to go back to something similar to that. Love going to get my haircut here. I actually switched to Keep It Cut because of how easy and convenient it was to make an appointment. Now I’m not sure if I will continue to go here or not.
Love this place but the app is awful. Logs you out every time. The interface basically feels like you’re in a web browser and making an appointment for the first time. Aren’t I paying for a membership. I think it’s a new company and they’re figuring things out.
Britney is awesome ! You should feel very fortunate to have someone that really cares like she does. Entitlement is not in her vocabulary ... I wish her the best and hope she gets rewarded for her hard work as the company grows....Thanks!!
Trying to book an appointment and had one booked. Got kicked out the app. Went back in with no record of original booking had to book a new appointment. Then I get an email notification about original appointment. And, the app won’t stay logged in for me on my iPhone.
Only issue is with the app, not the service. I type my correct email and password but it continues to default on its own to a different email then tells me it doesn’t recognize it. I have tried about 10 times with no success. No problem on the website.
The app is a little cumbersome. I should be able To stay logged in and possible save a favorite search instead of having to go through all the same options every time.
Much frustration from the logging in process; specifically when resetting password. Ask for a reset password link and by the time you click on it and create a new password it states “reset password link has timed out” Should be simple process, but instead crazy frustrating
This app is a big step backwards from the previous one. Navigation is worse, the app does not send calendar updates and the log in process is more complicated than it needs to be. Since this is the way to make appointments it has me really thinking of discontinuing my membership.
Giving such a low review to hopefully capture the attention of whatever lazy app developer was used. This app is glitchy and constantly crashes. Why do I have to log in 5 times to try and schedule an appt. What a freaking nightmare. That aside, I love keep it cut as a service.
This app doesn’t work more than it does. There is a checkbox labeled “remember Mel that never works. I have to re- login every single time. The app also consistently freezes when I get to the part to choose my time. Please update this app and fix the bugs.
App won’t save your password, “remember me”. App won’t let you change appointment times. App won’t stay signed in if you close it and open it. App has two locations for the same Scottsdale location and neither let you make an appointment.
I have used keep it cut for over a year but this app and their web appointment system is trash. It is full of bugs and errors. It is making me rethink whether I will return after 16 months of haircuts with them.
Keep it cut is a great company and I have always been impressed with my haircuts, I just dislike that you always have to log in every time you want to set an appointment and there’s no option to stay logged in. Keep it cut is great, the app, not so much.
The service here is great and I love coming. This app however is not good. Needs to be less glitchy and to keep me logged in instead of treating me like a guest every time I open the app.
This app is terrible, straight rookie level stuff. Doesn't keep me logged in and how difficult it is to navigate blows my mind. Whoever made this app should give them a refund.
The App is absolutely terrible! Version 1 was bad Version 2 it got worse Version 3 I didn’t think it was possible but it got even worse. Get your money back from the ten year old that created it!!
As much as I like Keep It Cut, the app is very frustrating. From the very first step, it won’t keep me logged in and treats me as a guest and makes me select a location every time. Hopefully the upgrades they’ve been claiming are in the works will come through soon.
