I’m not sure if there was an update or something, but the Touch ID login function no longer works on my 6s. I have turned on the feature in the app, logged out, and tried to log back in with Touch ID, to no avail. It’s just not staying switched on for whatever reason.
Updated: PLEASE PLEASE fix your app. Face ID does not work. When I deposit checks, constantly crashes and I have to start over. Not once has it gone smoothly. You can do better than this KSB - you are a great bank - please up your tech game. Ty. I had no issues with the old app. However the new app is very glitchy with mobile deposit. I am not able to use Face ID even though I have set it up to do so. It will only accept my typing in a password. Also, a couple of times when I’ve taken photos of the check, after the first photo is taken, the whole app crashes. Then I have to start over - find my long password to type in etc. it needs work. Please talk with your app developer. I’m on an iPhone XS.
Warning: Kennebunk Savings Bank Will no longer approve eChecks via mobile deposit in this app. This is absolutely ridiculous, and I’ve been doing this for years and years with my freelance clients. All of a sudden, they just decided to make this change, without any notification whatsoever that they would be making this change. Shame on KBS. I’m done. Learn how to run a business properly. Switching to a bank that knows how to operate itself professionally. Good riddance.
I will give credit when credit is due. This app is finally functional and supporting all the features it claims. You don’t get logged out every time you run it anymore, Face ID works and logs you right in, and the gui supports all the current Apple Hardware. I would like to see some old feature return like push notifications for account alerts, but it’s great to finally have a working bank app. Thanks KBS and devs! Now how about an iPad update?
There is always a problem with this app. It’s either that it just will not load, the Touch ID/Face ID wont work, theres error messages when trying to just get to the login screen and most recently when I try to log in it gives me a pop up message that says, “Attention this application or device has violated security policies.” It’s more frustrating than helpful most of the time.
When you go on the app it says update now...you click on it and it takes you to the, “open app” page, click on open and it sends you back to the first page “Update Now”! Back and forth, back and forth!! Ggggrrrr!!!
Wish the notification alerts for the app were brought back. You can receive text alerts but usually are cluttered and sent from different numbers. Otherwise easy to use and check balances as need.
I’ve been trying to use this updated version for days and it just sits on the logo page for ever. Not even a sign that it’s loading and planning to take you to a log in page. Just a still logo and new “purpose driven” motto ... wish this bank would stop trying to change their entire look every 5 years it’s seriously obnoxious. So yeah... it’s now Sunday and I doubt I’ll find anyone to help me troubleshoot but I guess I’ll do the ones delete and start over trick... eye roll.
This app makes it so easy to quickly transfer money from one account to another, to deposit checks, and to check balances. Plus it’s so great to get alerts on purchases made and balance thresholds. I love it it’s so easy!
Have had an account for ages and never been disappointed in fact the opposite. They have always gone above and beyond to sort out any problem or discrepancy. Recommend highly
I like being able to manage cards, however I dislike that I have no idea what account they are connected to. I also wish it displayed all of my accounts on the screen instead of the other options.
It took me a long time to figure out that the app wasn’t working because it needs a cell phone ping to work. I don’t live in a place that has cell phone service where I live & I depend on WiFi, so this app isn’t helpful to me when I’m at home 🤪 I wish they would fix it
It used to work great for me, but now the necessary notifications seem to be blocked, and can result in overdraft fees that come without warning. What’s the point? I’m going back to only trusting my own bookkeeping and going through another bank if this keeps up. The Capital One app is awesome about almost immediate notifications.
How many times do you need to shut down the app to repair it? It seems like there is a bug in the app almost every other day. Guess I will have to call in and go through the series of ten questions just to get my bank balance
Recent update made a limited app worse. Bill pay doesnt work in landscape mode anymore? Takes 5 screens to define a payment? No longer can see a total of pending payments? Still defaults to saving your login. Tons of wasted space in lists...scroll scroll.
Every time I open the app, the following message pops up: “Error. An error has occurred. Please call for assistance.” No one at the bank knows anything about it.
I constantly have issues logging into the app. It says they can’t verify my credentials, then I go to their website and that says difficulty logging in to the system. Getting ready to switch banks because of security concerns with their online system.
Why are you the only financial institution that does not allow one to use a longer password?? I love the bank, especially the people. But your technology scares me!
I tried to go on my app and was notified to update app. I updated the app and still when trying to log on it have the same message that there is an updated version. Am I missing something?
Unfortunately the app has not been working for about 2 weeks now. It’s kinda useless to have the app. Starting the app will result in a white blank screen before it crashes 5-10seconds later. I reinstalled it, but no luck.
I tried to use this updated version but when I try to open it, I get “update required”. I hit update, try to open and get kicked back to update required. It’s an endless loop☹️
I would just like to say that as an employee of KSB this app does exactly what it is meant to do. It gives you balances, it is secure and of course you have to log in every time you open it- as a security measure. Anyone having issues with log in credentials- I can say from experience it is usually an incorrect username, or being locked out from using an incorrect password. If you give us a call we would be more than happy to help you reset all of that information. As far as being able to have images of checks or anything else of that nature- the more features you try and cram in an app the more often it crashes. Tellers are more than willing and able to bring up check images and have them emailed out to you if needed, again, just give us a call! We don’t mind, and we don’t bite. I promise. I know sometimes it may be frustrating, but we are a local bank. Not a corporate Nationwide bank with many chains. We have 19 branches full of staff who would love to help you with any banking needs you are having beyond the use of this app. And a lot of our locations have even renovated recently, so we definitely encourage you all to come in and see them sometime. And if you’re frustrated with the app, come on in with your phone. I’m sure at least one employee in each branch has the app and would love to chat with you about its features and how to fix it.
I've been locked out of my account on this app so many times it's not even worth it. Fails to log me in with the correct log in information (it works online) saying it can't verify my credentials then locks me out. Useless.
I cannot get the app to let me log in. “Can’t verify”. “A problem occurred…” Really, Kennebunk Savings? You’ve been my financial institution for 23 years now, but I’ve considered changing banks because of this. I’ve had to get on the website to log in. Even then, I have to get a verification code occasionally. Please fix and update?!?
