KFYR-TV First Warn Weather

We are making hay right now, and it’s so important to know when we’re getting moisture and when we’re not. Thank you for keeping us updated, on the important weather conditions

This app gives the local detail I want. That said, it takes forever to load, which is inconvenient at best when we’re further out and knowing the weather, and seeing the radar is an actual safety issue. I often cannot even get it open at those times when we’re out camping for example. Since I’ve been typing I’ve had 4 alerts sound on my phone for a thunderstorm. If you want to be alerted to emergencies such as tornados you have to put up with knowing every drop of rain that falls. Make that six alerts. All in all, I keep removing it because it’s not as helpful as annoying. I can just get the same info elsewhere. Make that seven alerts in as many minutes.

Please stop with the non-news notifications! If I wanted twitter type updates throughout my day, I’d subscribe to your handle. I don’t mind being woken up or alerted to need-to-know items, like actual warnings and ‘heavy rain’ or ‘lightening in your area.’ ‘Warmer today - cooler tomorrow’ ‘autumn starts Saturday’ and ‘COLD Friday morning’ are not need-to-know news items...

I’m from NW ND, but I have moved out of state. There’s a lot I miss from home. My weather app is not one of them because I take it everywhere, lol. It’s the best and easiest weather app I’ve ever found.

This app has become absolutely terrible. The amount of advertisements that they push through at this point for seemingly zero increase in app performance or new features, is ridiculous. I constantly have to close the app and restart it to get the radar to work. And why am I not able to see the latest weather report from the tv program and instead get some stupid webcast?

It’s a weather ap. Tells me the weather. 10/10 would recommend.

Good app however notifications sounds that says announce isn’t announce it’s a NBC tone. That’s wrong and needs to have the proper sound of a voice that says all of the weather notifications. If you think that the NBC tone is a announce then you need to go back to school.

Great content and great people doing great work. The app could use improvement, glitchy/ not too user friendly// videos and sound glitchy

The radar is almost impossible to load. I was hoping it was an issue that would be fixed with an update, but it’s been this way for almost two months.

Love the app , keeps me updated though out the day

Unsure of what has happened since the update, but I’ve used this app since I worked for Verizon years and years ago. Since the update now I’m getting an error that the app isn’t available in my current location. I’ll go back to 4/5 stars once that gets fixed. It’s usually been amazing, even out of state in Vegas.

Unable to get the First Warn Weather App on my I-pad. Not in App-store, shows up as view only?

The app would be 5 stars if it weren’t for all of the advertisements. I don’t like seeing random inappropriate ads while I’m trying to check local news and weather.

It keeps us updated of lightning is getting close!

Ever since the update I get an error stating this application isn’t available for your area. I have had this app for 3 years. It also takes forever to load now. If I can open it without errors I’m inundated with ads!

Great weather channel

This has always been my go to app to track radar and I’m about ready to remove it and search for something else.

You know I really wish the app Ive used for two years would tell me when it’s gunna rain before it does and not after

Great app but recently you added advertising videos that is annoying and I can’t exit out on it cause the little x is too far up and to the left I can’t get out of ad ( ad for a game) ( iPhone 12)

I have updated the app but still get glitches in the radar.

The app itself is alright, the ads are getting out of hand. I had a full screen ad come up while watching the radar today. Time to look for an alternative I guess.

Used to love this app would even give it 5 stars, but the radar hasn’t worked for weeks and it’s the only radar I like.

I cannot get sound on the most important weather alerts.

Preview shows a radar screen with current weather overlay that lists Dewpoint. Dewpoint is more important to everybody than relative humidity. There is no Dewpoint on the actual app. Boo

I've tried almost every other weather app out there and they were all pretty hit-or-miss. THIS app is awesome. It's the only weather app you'll ever need.

ads you can hear but actual update Henry needs to speak up, you can barely hear him

The pop up ads need to stop. I didn’t come to this app to watch ads.

The app is great, but I wish you could set the opacity and the loop speed. Other than that, it's great.

It's surprising that an app this good is based off a TV station in ND.
