This app has four screen, each with just a few buttons. All controls could easily fit on a single screen. Sleep quality is a joke. A single number not showing how it varies throughout the night. The dumbest thing they do is have relaxation mode announce in voice “ relaxation mode is starting up”. Do you think my wife needs to know when I’m starting to relax? The voice stops other apps such a prime video that use audio. And of course, it announces relaxation mode is over, waking me up if relaxation mode lulled me to sleep.
I just got my bed delivered and I am pretty upset. I know I watched a review where it said that the pressure for each zone was individually adjustable, however that doesn’t seem to be the case. It has 9 firmness levels but most people will be a 3 or less on this bed, so not sure what the other 6 are for. Says that’s it’s great for use with an adjustable platform, I bought the ergo (didn’t get the split top mattress) mattress doesn’t lay correctly on the platform. Sensors definitely aren’t at all accurate in measure sleep. All I have done is the initial adjustment (which was just turning in the pressure adjustments on the correct side?) and it is already saying I have 33% deep sleep. I haven’t slept on it at all and have barely laid on it, so there is 0 chance that that is even remotely accurate, so pretty huge fail right there. I just got the bed delivered, so I’m really hoping it’s as awesome as I was hoping it would be, but so far really unimpressed, may be sending it back and exchanging it for a tempurpedic. Will report back, but they better be working on a lot of software and app updates right now or I would not recommend this bed to anyone
We have had the SmartLife, Lilly Medium for about a year now. The auto-sensing and adjusting does not happen in real-time, it only adjusts every so often. However, for the price of this bed my main criticism is that the app is very limited and could do much more but has never been updated. You can only adjust the firmness from 1-9 and there does not seem to be a lot of difference between the settings. Since there are 8 zones and 40 smart cells per side, it would be nice to be able to customize the firmness per zone, and even per smart cell using a map of the bed and body that senses where a body is currently laying on it. The massage mode should have the ability to select a specific time increment (dial/wheel), instead it is limited to 5, 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Finally, an Apple Watch app with some basic controls would be nice: 1. Turn on relaxation mode with a dial/wheel control for duration. 2. Adjust firmness 3. Wake up alarm settings 4. Automatic pressure relief on/off
My husband and I just recently received the mattress which the mattress itself has been good, this app really needs some updating. We have noticed if you are in relaxation mode before you fall asleep for whatever reason it doesn’t monitor that night how well you slept. I did feel that the store floor model had some neat features however a little disappointed when we got the bed to learn the app is pretty much crap and can’t understand why the company wouldn’t want to improve the software in the app.
I recently got my smartlife mattress and downloaded the app. The sleep data is very limited, just indicating a percentage and if you had “Good sleep” or “Need a break”. I found that there are several days with data reported “Good sleep” where no one slept in the bed, so the app is reporting false data. It gives you a firmness number 1-9 to choose from but they all seem very firm, not much difference. Don’t waste your time or money thinking you’re getting the cutting edge technology of mattresses or apps… because you’re not.
This app does nothing. The sleep wheel is supposed to let you know how well you slept but has NO IDEA when you go to bed, how long you are asleep for what your sleep levels are. It always tells you you got a certain percentage of ‘good sleep’ but essentially it’s a total load of rubbish. The app can adjust the firmness of the bed and help start/stop relaxation mode. Other than that—— total waste of time. The bed is ok. But I’m sure that for the price we could have done better. Don’t be fooled into thinking that this bed is ‘cuttting edge technology’ because at this point- and with this shoddy app- it isn’t.
We bought the about 6 weeks ago. While we love the bed and really good sleep the App it self is useless. If you bought the bed without remote fear not that part of the app works. Having just had a sleep number bed that app gave great stats. The sleep stats that this app has is useless I bought the bed for the comfort of sleep but it would be nice to have an app that gives good and accurate data
When you pay thousands of dollars for a “smart” mattress and get this, it’s a huge disappointment. They don’t show you the app in the store for a reason. Limited useful information on sleep. Timers don’t seem to work at all. The user interface stops responding to taps all the time; for some reason entering switcher mode seems to resolve the issue about half the time; sometimes you have to activate it and then go back to the app more than once.
Display bed and monitor looked so cool. But once it arrived and are using the bed and app, the app only tells you that you have excellent sleep every night. Does not record how long you sleep each night or any other useful sleep data. Ive slept on this bed about a week now and it is not the best sleep of my life. I have it on auto-adjust and have been trying out different firmness levels. Not sure we will keep the bed.
While we are enjoying our new mattress, the app is a total joke & waste of technology! For spending $10k for a super smart mattress /base one would think the technology would be more efficient & accurate. Upon reading all of the reviews (none of which are positive for the past two years), Koil King seriously needs to work on making the app work better!!
This is incredible! I’ve never gotten better sleep in my life. The stupid sleep number beds are so overpriced and so old-technology. This bed keeps my supported all night, but most importantly, my limbs and shoulders are no longer numb and in pain throughout the night! THANK YOU THANK YOU!
The Sept 2024 app release looks better than the original. Folks don’t let the app be the difference between a good nights sleep. The bed is till excellent.
I wish they showed us this rookie app before we bought the mattress. Please update this app. It’s so slow, laggy and confusing. Tutorials needs more explanation and what the heck is self diagnosing and why is it on schedule. Nothing is explained properly nor easy to understand.
This app is such poor quality. Very slow to respond. Defaults to left side of bed. If you want to make adjustments to the right side, better have five minutes to spare. Also, bed does not respond to pressure points. Might as well have a regular mattress.
It’s insane that such an expensive product has such a low functioning app. Buttons don’t work half the time, and it OFTEN resets the bed firmness to 5 without us realizing. That can ruin an entire day or more. PLEASE hire a professional to overhaul this app.
The app for the King Koil bed never works. Either have to unplug the bed and reset every day or use controls on sides. Should be able to adjust the bed to more settings than 1-10.
This mattress was great at first but now both side are sagging and causes pain and poor sleep. Can’t seem to reset the cells. App doesn’t do much for it.
