When my husband lost his wallet, I went to this app to lock his debit card. I was disappointed and annoyed that I had to download a different app. As if that wasn’t a hassle, you have to add the card number manually to be able to lock a card. That’s no help since the card is missing. If a credit card app can have a quick link to lock a card, surely a bank could. Having to try calling a bank to get a card shut off is a huge hassle.
It’s 2024. Customers are still unable to walk into a branch and pick up a new debit card. My card had fraud and I had to wait 10 days to get a new card in the mail and no access to my account without going into the branch that I have to rush to after work. That’s 10 days of whatever is linked to my prior card being declined. Also, just got off the phone with the call center and there is no option on the app to have whatever is linked to the old card to be linked to the new card. Please be more customer service oriented or accept losing customers.
I like the Apple line helps me to keep up with what’s going on with my own personal business as well as my company business only thing I really don’t like is my direct deposit takes all down day in order for it to be deposit that’s the only thing I don’t like other than that lake city bank gets five stars for me a lot of that deposit I think I asked to do with the company that I work for but I am willing to work with both ends to get it Square 🙏🏾
This is possibly the worst app I’ve ever had to use. I’m not even sure where to start. When you first open the app the page is filled with notifications that pop up every single time you open the app and financial tools that I have no interest in. I have to scroll just to see my account balances which is the number one reason I dowloaded this app. You also need a separate app for card controls for your debit card but you have to click a link inside this app every time you want to open the card controls app. 99% of my banking is done online and with how terrible of an experience this is I’m heavily considering switching banks.
I love everything about LCB except the deposit check part of the app. The image has been difficult occasionally to fit and meet their clarity requirements even though it looks like a good picture to me. I have an iPhone Pro so it’s not my camera. Hopefully there can be an enhancement but otherwise I do almost all my banking with the app. BTW, I don’t live in NE Indiana anymore and I still prefer to use LCB from 3 states away. That’s how good a bank they are.
The Lake City Bank app is easy to use, which is appreciated. One primary thing I like is that I signed up for a daily balance alert. With a quick glance, I know what my balances are in each account (checking, savings, etc) and I don’t have to take the time to log into the accounts. This gives me a quick, thumb-nail look at my balances. If it is not what I expected , I can then fully log into my account.
Lake City Bank went through the roof with this update! Better financial tools for free with this app than all the mint, you need a budget, and everydollar tools that you need to pay for...plus it’s all in the context of my main account. 1 star taken off because the login and password saving is a little wonky on iOS and I always have to search to find my password
I have tried several times to pay my loan through my linked Chase account but it keeps showing an error. I tried calling and was told that it wasn’t on Lake City’s end. I went into Chase and they checked everything and say it’s on Lake City Banks end. It’s inconvenient to write a paper check and mail it in but I have to because there isn’t a Lake City Bank branch close by and Lake City charges a ridiculous convenience fee to pay over the phone. Fix this issue and you’ll have happier customers.
The online check deposit tool is very glitchy. The error messages don’t give you the correct information about why it rejects checks. I tried for 4 weeks to deposit a check with a vague error message and called and they said it was over the limit you could deposit. If that would have been the error message it said it would have saved me a lot of headache. On average I struggle 1 out of 2 times I try to use this tool.
Better the the old app love that your able to do more now highly recommend in order to stay financially up to date not only on checking account but also to check your credit card and savings account as well
Overall a very good app! Couple things I don’t like: The goals section is very annoying. Give us an option to remove it. I want to remove it from my screen but I don’t want to have to do it EVERY time I log on. The fact that you can’t somehow uncover your account number is frustrating. Give us the option to see it if needed.
I like the app, love the remote deposit for checks but on my business account, sometimes I cannot deposit, something goes wrong and get error message. If this could be 100% working all the time, I would give 5 stars. Aside from that, it is great
Horrible, just plain horrible. You demand that passwords be changed at YOUR timeframe, it’s hard enough to remember passwords let alone having to change them every couple months. Then the account lockout because you’ve tried too many times to log in, and on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get it fixed!!!!! Then after ALL of that…I want to remote deposit….nope that is down now!!!!! This app is the absolute worst!!!! If we change banks….THIS is why!!!!!
I started using this app like 5 or 6 years ago and there have been a lot of improvements since then. Sometimes it’s shut down for maintenance but other than that it’s operational pretty much all the time, and it’s very easy to use.
Tried making my account a year ago and it sent me to a website that wouldn’t give me my password or anything and it locked me out of my account… now I literally can’t use the app cause they won’t tell me my id login or password since I don’t know my id login it’s a horrrrrible app and I’m gonna stop banking with lake city in the next week because of it they could’ve made it more user friendly without sending you to 2 different websites and different apps
This new app has so much more functionality than the old one. You can do everything that the new website can do but on the app, which is much better than before. Depositing checks is smoother now too.

I seriously have never ending issues with this app. It’s ALWAYS “forgetting” my log in information no matter how many times I’ve hit “remember me”. I have to resign back into everything. And often times, it’ll tell me some unknown error has occurred when I sign in and it won’t let me sign in. These are ongoing issues, I can’t even believe this app was approved to be released. I wish zero stars was an option. #debatingswitchingbanksbecauswofthedumbapp
Bill pay should be more easily accessible. Needs it’s own tab on the side Hate when paying bills and add a new payee and it wipes all my other scheduled transaction’s if I already didn’t approve so I have to start over. Hate how when I go to schedule a date and it rolls up so I have to page it back down. I sound critical but the previous bill pay was way more convenient.
We are relatively new to Lake City Bank, and this app is fast, user-friendly, and accurate. And that’s nothing compared with the responsive and friendly real people at the bank itself.
Much better than the old app! I love that I can view my finances on mobile, but the verification process isn’t always great. Would like to be able to authorize LCB for all of my accounts so I don’t have to sign in everytime.
I think Lake City Bank’s app is one of the easiest apps to move around in. From depositing a check, to looking at your accounts, to using the Zelle app, it’s all very easy and self-explanatory. I’m very happy with this app.
We use this for our small business. The remote deposit is extremely glitchy. The past week I keep getting an error that the remote capture is not working. I have called multiple times to Lake City, but no fix is provided. We are over an hour away from the closest branch, so taking checks to the bank is not an option. Please fix this and make this more reliable!
I love this app as it keeps me in touch with my banking any hour of the day or night (except when they are doing maintenance). I would be lost without it!
This app is indispensable to me. Easy to use and I can see all my accounts and transfer money where I need to. It also has an investment account that you can use.
The app is so good that even though I’ve lived away from the area for eight years I’ve still kept Lake City as my bank because of the ease of banking from a distance.
Do not care for the last enhancement that was made AFTER the new app was already out. You can not easily identify what bills are due next and which ones are scheduled without clicking on each payee. Very inconvenient. End up going to a computer which defeats the purpose of having a mobile app. Marcy Grow-Dorman
I don’t like that it throws up the login page again after you log out. It made me think I had to login again for some reason when it first happened and now it’s annoying
The old banking app was awful. This is a much better banking app than we previously had. I haven’t looked into all of the new features but I’m just happy I can access my account at any time now.
Have used this app since it came out over 10 years ago and it consistently has login errors and delays on accurate balances. Their order of reconciliation each morning prioritizes inner account xfers over deposits and has issued NSF fees when there has been sufficient funds to cover it. Like many banks being sued for improper NSF fees, LCB should be included largely because this app is incorrectly managing things.
The last lake city banking app was slow and outdated. This new app is super updated and actually offers a lot of cool tools to help you manage your finances better. I love it!
I have been longing and looking for an app that would separate my money into virtual envelopes. This new addition, called, “goals“, has helped me do that, and is enabling me to save lots of money.
General like the app, however the communication with our Mint account is not always great. When we make purchases with the lake city card the transaction ID doesn’t transfer and is difficult tell where purchases are being made from.
The app you had prior to the latest update was much more efficient and user friendly. I no longer get alerts when my card is charged and I am considering closing my account with you and moving to another banking group that provides this information as it occurs. Your system alerts me 24-48 hours after the transaction takes place.
Lake City is a great bank and the app is very helpful. It works very well. I like that I can see what I have spent and quickly see what is available. It is easy to use and very helpful.
I hope you are not paying your attorney by the paragraph. The length of the new terms is absolutelyRidiculous! My husband and I LOL’d the whole time it took me to scroll to the end. Of course I accepted because I needed to check my balance today and not after days of reading through legal terminology. I could go on but you prob have a life to get back to as well. Happy New Year!
Solid app from a cool bank based in Indiana. The folks at my branch work with me to make my banking easier. I wouldn’t go to another bank in a hundred years.
I should be able to access both my business and personal accounts without having to undo security and go back in to the other. At least before you had separate apps. Since you find it a foreign idea to have business and personal accounts both at your bank, I will be fixing that soon.
When ever I try to do mobile deposit, this app will just close out. Happens every single time. I have to try at least 5 times to deposit one check. Pretty much makes this app useless. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times without luck.
It’s so hard to navigate in this new app. I can’t search for anything past the last 3 months and the filters are worthless. I called the service desk and they had me manually go back through a year of statements to find what I was looking for. Not impressed with this new app at all. Feels like we’ve taken a step back in time.
Every time I login to Mint or another linked Intuit account, I am forced to verify my Lake City account by receiving an email, text, or call. I should be able to verify once and be good! It’s so annoying to not see an accurate picture of my finances until I verify, every single day. May move funds and banks if this doesn’t get fixed.
