The app has made banking with Lake Trust so much easier on me considering I have moved farther away from the local branch in Centerline. It’s very user friendly and it even incorporates touch password for my security. The only few suggestions I have would be for the app to have picture deposits. I see other banks have this feature. Also I would like more transfers considering I help a lot of people and friends. My savings and checking are always getting switched around because I never really know what life is going to through at me next. So having more transfers would also be convenient. Besides that, I really like the app and will continue to use it.
I love this bank so much. I've been with them for years and I keep trying to leave for the convenience of having existing branches near me, but it never works out because Lake Trust so much better than any other bank or credit union I've tried, by a long shot. I even considered leaving them when they changed their reward system, because it resulted in me getting fewer reward bonuses, but when I looked around they were STILL way better than the competition. Plus it just feels like they care. I appreciate that.
I’ve been using this App. ever since I moved to Michigan 2 years ago. It’s very safe and simple to use. They let me know about the scam going around at the gas stations and how to avoid it. They made me aware that getting gas, I should use Debit at the pump or go inside to pay. Credit at the pump is unsafe because it’s less protected. The app is also very fast at depositing my checks! I take a picture of my check, front and back and in only 2 hours the money is already in my account. I’m very happy with this App. and Lake Trust Credit Union!
It is a great app in many ways (intuitive, easy to navigate and find information) but the bill pay function is lacking. When a paper check is necessary, the money should be deducted from the account on the day it sends, at least as a pending debit, not on the day the check is cashed. During the lag time, which can be weeks, there is no record of the payment in the app, thus requiring me to maintain a paper record. A benefit to using the app should be NOT having to maintain an additional record. Other banking apps can do this. Fix this, and it would be five stars.
Is there some fancy trick to get the camera to capture the image of your check? Spin around three times, but only on the 8th Tuesday of every other month on a full moon, whispering the secret incantation - “Piece of S%$!” Three times? I down loaded the app for this reason alone, very frustrating!!!
I was having the same problem as everyone else, but it finally appears to have installed correctly after about a week since this release appeared. Overall: Great app, useful features (easy check deposit, balance at a glance, account history, Touch ID integration, rewards selection, speed, easy navigation). However, I find that it cannot replace the web version of online banking completely yet because of a few missing features that are critical to me: - ability to specify memo line for checks written in bill pay (critical for record keeping) - ability to search transactions (instead of simply scrolling through in chronological order) to enable finding something specific quickly Please keep improving and make adding these features a priority.
This app is rudimentary at best, mobile deposit works only sporadically, auto-capture rarely works for mobile check deposits. Also, the hours that they answer the phone for customer issues are terribly limited, and departments do not communicate with one another. More times than I can remember I’ve waited on hold for hours on end, only to have been transferred to the wrong person and have been put on hold again, more often than not, to be hung up on. I’d recommend finding a credit union that’s more customer service minded, this one is most certainly not that...
Okay, so if you do any international traveling or plan it in the near future run from this credit union as fast and far away as. I don’t know if they just say they’re going to allow the card to be used in a foreign country or they actually allow it. My last two international trips to Argentina and New Zealand has resulted in me with no way to access my funds through atm or by merchant. I have literally had to call my mom in the states to sort it out both times. The bank is great if you want to stay in the USA. I have card valet for it as well and it literally changes nothing.
Came from another bank that I used for years where I never had checking account problems. When you make a bill payment it doesn’t subtract from your balance and keep it off until the payment is delivered. Not realizing this cost me a few overdrafts fees. I’ll take it as a learning experience but I’m not sure why they do this? No overdrafts for years at my other bank I found it to be deceptive.. but now that I know it won’t happen again. Also, would be nice to make bank to bank transfers within the app.
If I have to spend another 20 minutes finding "better lighting" for my mobile deposit pictures, I swear to god I will switch banks. I am literally standing in my basement stairway with the lights off and it is still too light. Absolute trash.
I've been using the app for about a month now and have only one complaint. When you are viewing the summary of your account balances, the "Current" balance is in large green letters that jump out at you. Unfortunately, your more accurate "Available" balance is smaller just below it. It's very misleading and on more than one occasion I have glanced at the app and looked at the wrong balance. Please update so the AVAILABLE balance is the large, prominent one!
There has recently been a problem where after signing in there is a message that pops up and states that my information couldn’t be displayed due to the link being expired. I have not had this problem in the past, and the app used to work fine.
This app takes care of all my needs I haven’t wrote a check in years I always know what I have in my accounts at all times anywhere I go and I can pay most of my bills from my phone love it
I like this app, and I love that it has an Apple Watch feature, however there are some things that still bother me. It crashes a lot, and sometimes it sets my iPhone in a loop for about 5 minuets where it opens and closes. No update for iPhoneX which makes it scrunch together. Other than that it’s not too shabby.
Pending transactions don’t always have from who their pending. Deposits take forever to show, they should be immediate even if not available to use the funds. I second guess myself all the time wondering did it deposit or didn’t it. Also, pending transactions should come out of the balance not be a surprise.
I have been a member since 1959 when I enrolled in State Employees CU. I have stayed with this credit union through various names because I am happy with the service and everything about it. I haven’t had one complaint in 59 years!
Amazing staff, amazing app, not one complaint! The lady that opened my account even sent me a little hand wrote card. So sweet! App is easy to use, well thought out, and has never given me any problems. Thank you!
nothing against the app, but this bank is trash. they have little to no security and have done very little to help make sure my account stops getting hacked. go to Huntington or BOA or literally anything but LakeTrust
The camera interface is terrible when trying to take a photo of the check, especially the back. I crops incorrectly or doesn’t crop at all. Sometimes it completely distorts the photo. This is an app issue and not a camera issue as the image appears clear before taking the photo.
The app is a wonderful tool. It’s very convenient. I’m not a fan of the “glitchyness.” It seizes up, to the point of having to close it down and start over, often.
I have been a member of this credit union for many years. It has been steadily declining since it merged a few years back. Many name changes since, paying lower interest than others, and extremely poor service. Reduced hours or no hours, and the web site is awkward and still hard to find things. I do not recommend !
I can access my accounts quickly using my thumb. I can pay bills and transfer funds in seconds. I can deposit checks from home. I haven't had any problems with the app. I love it!
This is the most difficult account i have ever had to transfer money out of. In this electronic age money transfers should be almost instantaneous. Apps like Zelle for example. Transfers from lake trust take days. unacceptable.
Mobile deposit doesn’t work for my checks at all anymore apparently, considering it wanted a blurry photo that would have been denied over a very clear photo showing all the information.
Your credit union needs to support Apple Pay before you start losing members. A lot of other credit unions have adopted it a long time ago so what's the hold up on your end? I'll give you five stars when you guys FINALLY get Apple Pay.
The app never notifies you when you do a withdraw or a purchase until a day or two later. When my account was hacked I didn’t even find out until it was way late. Needs a major update.
The overdraft fees that I received without even having a chance to add money to my account was the main reason I switched over to Huntington bank. My account will be closed after my income taxes come back.
everytime i have tried depositing a check, i put in the amount and it tells me to rotate my phone to take a photo and the wording does not disappear off the screen.. i have classes during the banks business hours so mobile deposit is convenient for me. please get this issue addressed soon
