I have never had a single issue with the app. There is every feature you could think of to access your account and to make it easier to send receive whatever you need. They have it all in the app. They really don’t need a branch at this point. Granted of course the mobile check deposit will take longer for the process instead of branch visit and you can’t pull physical money out of your phone. They make it very secure and very user friendly, you’d think you’d get lost with so many extra mobile features but they have it very organized and optimized for convenience and ease of use to even the least tech savvy of people. If I could leave more then 5 stars I would, Out of the 3-4 other mobile banking option I’ve been with this is the best hands down.
I bank at many banks and credit unions so I’ve tried most the apps and online experiences. That said, this new app from my credit union is a breath of fresh air for me and a big improvement over their previous app. It took a minute to get use to the new security and figuring out the layout but it wasn’t hard to do. I have too many passwords in my life and I love how easy they make it for me to get a new password when I forget. The menu designs are easy to follow and transferring money between my accounts is easy, even if I need to transfer to another bank. I also appreciate the new color choices for the layout, super easy on my eyes, thank you! I’ve tried all the other features on the app and they all work well for me. Thank you LBS for the upgrade! I’m looking forward to seeing what next from my credit union.
Very disappointed with the most recent update in their system. The fact you can’t access your credit card history from the main screen is annoying and time consuming. You have to go through the side bar, click on credit card center, wait for it to load, then select recent activity, wait for it to load again and if you are not seeing what you want in your credit hard history, you have to do this process again and select a different screen. You used to just click on the credit card screen from the main screen, however, this is not possible anymore. Additionally, payments to your credit card do not reflect right away either, they used to post right when you made a payment and now it doesn’t even reflect pending payments you’ve made. Disappointing
I went in and was greeted with open arms and a warm good morning! I decided to reopen my account with lbs after trying out the not so better credit unions, boy was this the best decision ever! I forget her name I believe it was Maryam but she works at the Cerritos branch and she was a Joy to work with! She was efficient but detailed and briefed me about all the updates since I’ve been gone! This bank puts customer service and & family feel first AND their banking products are amazing! I’m looking forward to a long future with them! The only reason I’m giving them 4/5 and not 5/5 is because they don’t have debit card controls on the app to lock your card or Dark mode. IF THEY HAD THOSE 2 THEN 5/5 ACROSS THE BOARD!!!
I have been a member of LBS for 60 years (5yrs old) as my mother opened our Accts when we were small children... Banking with the Los Altos Office has been like coming home to family when I am in town for a visit...when my mother passed away, your staff was so compassionate as The staff assisted me with her financial wishes.. Koumis and the whole team are so kind and always generously helpful... I wish you all good health at this time during the COVID19 crisis.
I am happy that the bank has increased more banking online. Now, I can manage my account from home or anywhere I am from my phone. The app needs to have a “lock the card” button to luck the card immediately to protect the card when not in use or suspects that someone is using the card. I have an Apple Card and I can text with someone online. Also, the app should have travel notifications. I have it on one of my cards and it makes it easy for the customer and the bank. In this way, it is easy to communicate. I love the service to customer service. I always get a helpful person on the phone. Please pay attention to my comments. Thank you!
I have been a member since the very early 70’s and have always found helpful and professional employees. OVER those many years I have had many different reasons to use the CU...Car loans, salary savings Money Market, notary services, and way back when we got a loan without any assets to pay our income taxes...poor teachers with poor financial skills! I’ve also made a dear friend of more than 30 years.
The credit union as a whole has always been good and their customer service amazing. Everyone is kind and as an existing long time customer I even feel a sense of home when I am welcomed by familiar faces. As for the app I love being able to check my account and transfer money with ease and quickly.
I have been a member for many years almost 20. I love it but I would have given it 5 if not for their loan department. I’m getting it from another bank I just banked at recently. You would think they entrust you after this long. Sad but true.
I don’t know what the latest fix did but I can’t get biometrics to work anymore. It used to work. I’m not unclear on how to turn the feature on: I log in, select use biometrics, scan finger, it tells me it Congrats, You turned onBiometrics! and then the app shuts off biometrics. I’ve repeatedly tried it, hoping if got fixed. But I’m really tired of typing my very long password into the app when I could scan my fingerprint if it just worked! What’s the deal?????
I understand everyones ratings about navigating the app but how do you get passed the slowest login on the face of the apps earth? Of all the banking apps I currently use every time its LBS’s turn I dread the take its sweet time to load issue. And No its not my service and it’s not my phone. Its most definitely the slowest loading app to ever exist. Other than that the app is well designed. Please work on that slow load.
The login process is easy using fingerprint and viewing all of my accounts on one screen. I often use the mobile deposit and transfer options the most. I did notice a new menu item to apply for a loan.
re-enrolled on the new website and app. I am very happy to know that my credit union got away from account number login and is staying up with current technology. Keep up the great work.
The app is very easy to use. First time logging in was very simple to do. The app offers a lot of variety for banking options to use with your account. I bank with 2 of the large banks and the LBS app offers the same options as they do.
This app helps me so much as I am a single parent of 4 & I got the bank in my pocket & can pay bills, transfer money ect, without worrying about going to the bank or adding more errands to my day to day. Love this app, Luis Moreno
Super easy to use with great features. I love the biometrics sign on option and the graphs help me see my money movement. Balances are simple to access and searching the history is quick and easy.
It’s better than a big bank, where you’re just a number, but there are lots of holds on money here, for not-too-obvious reasons. And when you travel, they need to know ahead of time or you might be declined. So, heads up.
There should be a way to see an on going Talley of outgoing and pending balance. U.S. Bank has that system. All in all, I get very good service from LBs I have no complaints
Face recognition keeps turning itself off. I’ve always really liked this app but something has gone wrong. When I turn on facial recognition it says something like face recognition has been turned on and when you press ok the switch goes off. Very annoying!
I have been a member for over 37 years. Financed 4 cars, student loans , etc. I love the friendly employees, have watched them re-model the 10th st office 3 times. I refuse to bank anywhere else. Thank you LBSFCU!!
Everyone’s kind and helpful. If they suspect something illegal. They immediately contact me. I’ve been with LBSFCU for close to 30 years and they get better every year.
The app does not work well on the iPhone. It has issues when using the finger print to log on. The logging process would not work on the first try. You have to close the app and try logging on for a second time to gain access.
I wish they had Zillow. All my friends use Zillow for direct payment because it’s fast and secure. I had to open up a new bank account that uses Zillow
The most recent update has a flaw with the bill pay system. I get “error unable to complete” message when I try to pay bills. It used to work great until I downloaded the new updated version of the app.
It’s really sad when you have to call a credit union to make a payment on a loan because their app only seems to permit viewing your balances. I’ve never had this much trouble getting someone to take my money before….EVER! Their website is just as useless, and it won’t even allow me to log in! 😵💫 I can’t wait until a get a few more payments in, and then I’ll be switching to a lender with a more user friendly website / app, as well as a MUCH lower APR.
