Please fix this app

So i've had this app for a really long time, and everything's been completely fine, it's actually been a pretty good app to use, but a few issues. Whenever you had changed the LED lights on the walls, it would also go along and change the ones in the room next door simultaneously. This was fine though, because it could be easily changed with the remote that came with the lights, but it was still a bit annoying. To add to that, around a week ago I accidentally unplugged my lights from the wall, but when I plugged them back in I noticed that my LED lights had disconnected from the app. I was really confused, and tried to fix it on my own, but to no avail. It seems like when you disconnected my lights from the wall, your unable to reconnect it to the app, even with uninstalling it and reinstalling. So the problem still hasn't been fixed and I still can't use the app for specific colors, but I decided to write this review incase anyone else has similar problems.

What the heck

Can’t anybody create an app that locks yours to your specific vehicle? I mean when you get into a group of people that all have the same lights everybody can change everybody’s lights. Like why can’t you control your own vehicle? And lock everybody else out? Can somebody please come up with that cause I’ll buy it! Because I have spent the last two hours trying to unload and reload the same app to change my lights back to what they belong to enter turn off the center white pod. I am about ready to throw them in the garbage.

After a few Years features Stop working, but quality lights.

I've had these lights for 3 years and they still work well. Only problem is that feautures on the app that I used to be able to use don't work anymore. To change the color i have to go into custom and create a color. The wheel doesnt work, I cant set up any systems anymore, and I can't connect it to music. All I can do is pick a color and its brightness. The white gradient wheel does work, just not the rainbow one. Quality lights, don't recomend if each light being slightly different shades from each other bugs you. Personally I think Its beautiful that way and also is the cost of having a full color range. I just really wish I could get the features back and it's slightly annoying having them there but not work anymore.

New update - Trouble

Had the under glow kit for nearly about a month. Worked flawlessly up until the most recent App Update. I noticed that the longer strip (1/4 LED strips) on my driver side no longer want to turn off when switching it from the app. I have to flip on the ignition key forward on/off and cycle it until doesn’t shuts off. When I am able to switch it off, the driver side LED strip takes a a second or two to completely shut off. When changing colors on the streaming or certain effects, the colors would run and cycle all the way down up until it gets near the end toward the back. LED’s work, colors work, but it’s like it gets stuck. I’m certain it’s not due to improper installation as it once worked for nearly 1 Month use. I love the lights but hate that the app does this update, I wish there could be a way to revert to the old version and not have automatic updates like you can toggle as a switch as you do with your pc. Please fix this issue devs.

Need some improvement

Need a way to keep your settings saved. Every few days ( I assume during update) all my favorites and settings are gone. Second major issue is keeping everyone from changing your lights when in a group. This is real important now with competitions. If you name a group you should be Able to recall that group. I have 5 controllers very difficult to get all 5 in sync together may find 4 connect to 4 but not always the same ones. The controllers all have a unique identification numbers. You should be able in settings identify only your controllers & when searching should only be able to search for your unique units. If need to add or delete a controller add it in settings. So promising but misses the mark by all these needed functions. Since I’m asking for more let us save more presets. Thank you Wizard

Fix the app please

So I’ve had my rock lights for almost about a year now and at first everything worked fine with them on the app and on the controller. Now I have an issue with the custom mode on the app, it doesn’t allow me to use the custom settings the only thing in that mode that works is changing the colors and brightness. I can’t put a custom color scheme and have flash cycling through the colors. Also I’ve noticed that in the mode options the last option the seven color breathe mode does not work, Please fix it! I also would like to complain that trying to make a profile on the forums to get some answers is impossible. I’ve done all of the step’s correctly and it still will not allow me to make a profile. I can see that this app has potential but it needs to be fixed.

Works, but you have to finesse it

It constantly says it’s connected but isn’t, so you have to keep clicking on connect and the power button or some combination of the two. It also keeps losing my saved preferred options for the “mode” section. And recently, out of nowhere, my favorite 10 or so “modes” glitched and the saturation is all off. It turns all of them to a much deeper/brighter red when the colors might have even been originally light yellows or any other color. The only thing that fixes it is turning down the brightness to 50 (which for some reason doesn’t even actually make it darker, it just fixes the colors). There are so many weird and wrong things about this app - try to avoid using or purchasing items that require this to work.

some features are not working with the App

I have used this app for a while now just have one thing that this to control and it is pretty much looking like a star. I forgot what the name of it is but when you use the microphone it pretty much never goes to the beat or even works and I don’t know if it’s because of having an iPhone and everything being so locked down with Apple but you cannot add songs to go with the beat it plays and that section everything else seems to work fine though if that would be fixed would definitely be perfect

Please fix your app

So I’ve had these lights for a while, along with the app, and it’s worked fine for months, and I’ve never had to reconnect them before But as of a few days ago, I now have to manually reconnect them every time I open the app. It’s really annoying, and it used to work perfectly fine. Please fix your app!! Update: I deleted the app and redownloaded it and now it’s even worse; once I get it connected I have to reconnect it to change the color, because for whatever reason as soon as I click on a color and it changes, it disconnects

Version 4.0.0

I have been using this app to control my lights for months, and had no issues until the most recent update to Version 4.0.0. After this update, all my custom colors were removed and my groups were removed. I was able to add back my colors and recreate my groups, but my groups no longer work. I created groups to control my lights separately by room, but now I can’t add any of my light “devices” to any of the groups. The app just crashes and if you try again, it just crashes again, making the groups pointless. I need to be able to group and control my lights based on the separate rooms they are in. Please fix this!!!!!

The app works the user is the issue

First off rate the app not your light kit. 2nd those having issues connecting. You don’t use the iOS Bluetooth settings to pair with the lights. You go into the iOS app setting and give permission for the app to use Bluetooth. Then open the app without trying to pair to the lights. Follow the instructions because the app itself does the scanning and controls connection.

Fix the app or lights.

I have the lights installed to my cars console/ HUD and doors. When I first got them, it was nice. Loved the colors and the different modes. But my favorite color was a deep purple (Royal purple). well idk what happened but the lights are blue/ cyan now? I noticed that every-time I drive over a little bump the color fixes itself for A split second. When I opened the app to change the color it wasn’t working. Wouldn’t turn red or purple or anything that requires the Red side of the three spectrums. I checked the chip and everything was fine. Nothing was heated up and all the connections were intact in the center console. The power cables couldn’t be the problem cause they’re still wrapped like they were fresh out the package. [Also in the center console.] And the lights are all installed properly and you can’t really touch them without removing them all completely. Haven’t had them installed for more than 3 weeks now. [Center console and inside doors.]

It works.. but can be a little fussy.

I found the solution to this not connecting… Bluetooth needs to be on. Then, within the app, go to the three lines/options menu within the color wheel page tap the 🔗👆 link button and then make sure your device is selected, choose control, and then it should work. You might need to refresh it from that screen 🔄 to make it connect to Bluetooth! Hope this helps. Fixed mine by doing this!!

Stop updating things

Everytime you guys release a new update for the app, and I update it, it completely wipes all of my saved light settings, I shouldn't have to constantly reset those and re-input those, I should be able to just keep them there, and you should have a good caching system so I don't have to do that when I update it. Also, I have never noticed like any change from the updates, so just stop updating things, leave it how it is because it works just fine. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Useable, but not enjoyable

This app does the most basic function of turning the lights off and on, however it doesn't save my custom colors and I have to remake them if I want to use them again. I also wasn't sure if it was possible to access a library of music other than the given, and if it is, it hasn't been shown available to me. I don't mind having to press the connect when I open it (I expected that) so that's whatever to me. It does the function but it isn't an enjoyable time when I use the app.

Difficult to install

It took over 2 hours to install and get registered. It is a slow app. The directions are in Chinese. It doesn’t let you know if you completed a step. NIGHTMARE! After FINALLY getting it installed, and working I put them on the tree, and I am unable to control them. I eventually figured out that unlike my car, the Bluetooth doesn’t connect automatically. You have to connect it manually each time. The lights are VERYYYYYYYY tiny. They are overpowered by any other lights on the tree. Need to be by themselves. Need multiple strands.

Shortcuts

Everything about the app is great. I just have one query. I wanted to make a shortcut that automatically turned on or off my lights. However, there was no shortcuts from the app, so that's the only feature that I really want. If you could make a few shortcuts for your app that turned on or off the LED lights that would be great. Another suggestion I had for shortcuts would be to make the LED lights a certain color or brightness. That's all, thank you in advance.

Not that good

Overall it was okay, When I first got them I tried them out and they were surprisingly bright! I got them app and hooked it up, but it didn’t work. Also when I plugged them in and put it on a random color, say white, some of the sections on the strip would be a different color like purple. So, if I wanted them to be on white some of it would be purple while the rest is white. Hey f that makes sense. To sum it all up, they are “okay” it does have some problems that can be easily fixed but other then that it’s good!

Bare bones app that get the job done.

It's a bare bones app, I've used it on a few projects and recently realized it might need better instructions for those of us downloading it in English. IF you follow the instructions, the LED DMX seems to work just fine. The first time I used it I tried to do it 'my way' and connect to the lighting fixture with Bluetooth BEFORE letting the app do its thing. . . So I just deleted the app and started over. 1) Turn on bluetooth - do not connect to any LED DMX devices. 2) I installed the app - I did NOT allow connect to images or videos - but I did allow Bluetooth. 3) turn on my physical LED DMX devices 4) press LED DMX in the app. It shows the devices it can find ( in my case 2 ) Enjoy ( or not ) scrolling through a million options of DMX controls. Again. It's bare bones but works.

Worked Ok until it didn’t

I’ve had the LED strip for 2 years and it worked well providing light. I could deal with the fact that every update reset my custom colors, which wasn’t terribly often. However, the latest update doesn’t even allow me to connect to the strip at all anymore. I am having to use the I clouded remoter to turn it on and off and if and when it resets, I will lose the color that I have it programmed as. I will have to look into another solution and that’s why I’d discourage the purchase of this product at this time until the app is fixed

Cool app, Needs alot of polishing.

Update, after the latest update I no longer am able to connect to my lights. One star because zero is impossible. As the title says. It is a rather cool app. Gives me control of the rgb halo on my lightbar. Only real problems I have had are connection reliability and the music NEEDS playlist support! I CANNOT be searching through every song on my device every time I want to use the light show feature on my lightbar. If this is updated I would buy more of these style lightbars. Otherwise the search continues for a lightbar with a better app. Overall good app with very few major bugs.

colors mixed up for gradient

It was working find at first but the circle thing that has the colors for the gradient is switched when I choose pink it's actually purples and the box show pink same goes for purple it shows purple for the box but it's pinks for blue and yellow/green/orange red , they all switched it shows in the box that's it's blue but it's warm colors same goes for warm colors its cold colors but it's only for the GD the rest like FW FD etc are fine it's shows the correct colors but pls fix gradient colors it's all mixed up

No issues, works perfectly

Not sure what other’s issues are. I installed the app, it immediately connected to my in vehicle LEDs after I allowed the app permission to access Bluetooth connects. Works flawlessly, colors change immediately in response to app input. I’ve already recommended the lights to others because of their low cost, ease of installation and ease of use.

This is the worst app I’ve ever used in my life

Constantly freezing and losing connection to the lights, the lights won’t turn off when I hit the button on them either after the app freezes, I have to unplug them. None of the custom settings make any sense and they also don’t work when I select a custom color gradient. Honestly just horrific, I’m literally appalled. I bought these lights to replace other lights that I loved but unfortunately got damaged from my robovac and are now sold out. I’m probably going to just return these ones, just awful.

Music Setting

This app has worked perfectly fine for me with my LEDs, I used the led ble spection of the app for my car LEDs. My only complaint is on the music setting where the lights flash with my music, i can't pick what music i want to play. The app has a custom queue for the music so it only plays around 7 songs that i don't own. I wish i was able to play music from my apple music library and pick whatever i'd like to play.

App is very inconsistent

Lights work great, better than expected, but the app is completely inconsistent. I downloaded the app, turn the lights on before I opened the app, then opened the app and it worked. I tuned my lights to how I wanted them and closed the app. The next time I opened the app it froze and crashed. I retried opening the app and it kept freezing and crashing, so I deleted and re-downloaded the app and it is a hit or miss with it. Sometimes it connects to the lights and works that one time, but most times it just freezes. I’m unhappy with the app and now my lights are stuck in the last mode I set it to.

Great Simple Cycles

I’m not sure why other users complained, I have used the app multiple times. I just plug the lights in,start the app, wait 2sec for the lights to connect, and they worked just fine. But then again I’m only using cycle mode, nothing fancy. I will update again if it fails, but so far, I think these are great!

Pretty good

The app works well all around except for one thing - the timer setting, I’m not a fan of the way it is set up, and also I am confused about the run button on that screen. I have yet to get my lights working on the timer correctly but I will continue to make attempts and hope for the best. But seriously guys, just improve the timer screen. Oh yeah also the purple lighting is pretty close to a black light, pretty sweet dude.

Honestly had hard time in the beginning didn’t read the instructions but after i did had no issues connecting the Bluetooth and the reaction time on the rock pod lights is on the money mahalo 🤙🏽. now gotta show all the truck owners that I installed the rock pod lights in how to work the app lol guess everybody not reading the instructions

Terrible app

I have the RGB emblem for my 2019 Infiniti Q50S 400 Redsport and this app worked fine at first then it started to become very buggy and then the app won’t connect to the device at all anymore. Also I have 2 different Bluetooth devices stored in the app for some reason when I only have 1 module/light on the car. Weird and makes no sense but however nothing I’ve done works. I had to reach out to the company for a replacement. Let’s see if that fixes it. If not then I’m returning the item and deleting this crappy buggy app.

Not happy!

This app seems like its always crashing! Every time I go to use it it says to uninstall app and reinstall app this is getting very old and tiring. Every time I go to turn it on it should turn on it should say nothing like device not found or error. It’s hard to give this a star rating but I’ll read it as a one because I like the way it looks I don’t like the way the app works I shouldn’t have to reinstall it every time I want to use it. Something needs to be done about this so this isn’t always a problem

Junk.. be careful

This was a gift. I loaded the app and it worked ONCE then completely locked up the phone and has never worked again even with a complete reload. This has dropped something in the device that prevents it from ever working even though its deleted and reloaded. I loaded it on an iPad and the exact thing happened.. it worked once, the app locked up and refuses to load again even with a delete and reload. I am going to figure out who to email at Apple to report this since it seems to leave something behind once deleted

Lights are great

When the app works it’s on. Definitely has some modes other don’t but the app keeps crashing. If I uninstall and reload from the AppStore it loads once. Get out of the app and try to go back in crash every time. Update: if your app crashes go in settings look for led lamp and deny access to the music library. I don’t know if it is because I use iCloud library but the moment I shut access to music off the app starts correct every time.

Instructions?

I have this app to control an LED jacket I’ve recently purchased. Where can I find instructions in English to properly use this app and create my own custom lighting modes? How do I save my favourite modes to my device, etc? Is there a website with this information? There are no instructions to be found within the app itself nor in the AppStore description to explain how to use this app to its full potential. Any help or info would be appreciated! TIA!

Terrible interface, only written in Chinese, and doesn’t work properly

I used to use this app all the time for the LED lights in my car, it worked great until their last update. Not only did it wipe all of my custom colors, it crashes whenever I try to use a custom color and doesn’t change my lights when I use a default color. Yes, I checked and my lights are connected to the app. Navigation is awful, and half of the instructions are in Chinese. If I could rate zero stars I would, do not install this garbage app.

LED Daytime Running Lights

I had a similar experience the same as the other guy. I installed the lights on my motorbike. I used the lights for 5 months. I went on vacation for one week and didn’t use my motorbike. I returned and started my motorbike and the Bluetooth devices wouldn’t come on and the devices didn’t connect to the LED app. I’m not sure if I want to buy a new set of lights or just never use this item again. Someone please advise what can I do to fix this problem?

App is difficult to navigate

Product is great! Came with all hardware! But this app is hard to figure out. Took about 2 hours before giving up and just using provided remote. After you power up remote, and basically “sync” everything. The app works just fine! But I would suggest to app developers to make the app more user friendly. Possibly adding a few more controls options. LIKE TURNING THE MAIN LIGHTS OFF AND ON!!! 😐😐 please make app better

Worked for a bit, now the colors don’t sync up right.

I have this for my Oneuplighting RGB Halo rings and my Underglow X kit. The app worked fine with both products for about a month before an update broke the functionality for the underglow. The headlights still work perfectly but the underglow will give the wrong colors now. It’s acting like the red and blue values are switched. There’s a setting to fix this in the app but this also affects the headlights so either the underglow doesn’t work right or the headlights don’t. Really need this fixed.

Could be better

The app itself is confusing and there’s not a lot of info on how to work it, and that needs improvement. But while using the remote, it isn’t that bad. I just wish you could customize on the remote (especially since my app isn’t working right now). It didn’t take that long, and it was easy to set up. Overall I give it a 3 out of 5, because it TRULY could be better, and more understanding.

Great, but…..

I recently installed this in my room and I discovered that you can play music, so I was excited. But when I went into the area of music the options were very limited. I was disappointed. But one thing I would love to have is where like a person can have access to their music. That’s all, have a great day or night. 😀

Wouldn’t recommended

So I got these LEDs for Christmas and was so excited to put them on. Tonight we put them on and they work wonderfully so I downloaded the app. I change the color to white using the app so it was easier to put them on. Out of no where less than half the strand was white and the other was green. Same thing with other colors if I use blue than the half that has more shuts off. If I turn on pink or purple the half with more will turn red. Very disappointed kind of ruined my day!

Frozen Phone

This app was awful to begin with. Nothing worked, it was incredibly slow to connect. Each click took minutes to process. Then after a few uses it froze my phone. I was unable to restart it or open any other apps. Awful experience. Ended up eventually being able to hard reboot after it almost calling the police twice due to the phone not registering the button clicks. Don’t download or you’ll possibly get hacked. Now Google on safari doesn’t work. I think this app hacked me.

“No Devices Found” Bluetooth Fail

First time trying light strips with bluetooth and an app for control.. Followed directions exactly.. iPhone with latest iOS and/or this App never even detect the lights, so there’s no way to use the app.. Deleted app and tried a 2nd time... same results.. lights flash but either don’t send out a Bluetooth signal or maybe I got a defective unit...but other 1 star ratings make me think not. The included remote from my purchase, works to control the light strips, so I guess I’ll keep them... but not this app, because it simply doesn’t work. 😠👎🏻

App will not recognize led controller, just like the last kit

I had wrote this off a while back as junk. Silver holder who makes the leds I’m using reached out after I left an honest but bad review and wanted to know if they could replace the kit. I said yes. New led kit arrived and I connected the positive and negative wires, downloaded this app, and opened the app…………. NOTHING happened, the app cannot find the controller. It’s pretty useless considering the thing I need to control the LEDS didn’t work. Junk software. Stick with a reputable company not this cheap junk!

Omg I have a few minutes till I got to go and I downloaded it took no longer than a minute they fixed the language and it’s super easy to use just have to click a button and you have your colors you can choose 👍❤️

Worst!

To put it simply, the app doesn’t work. Bought led lights for the tv that were advertised in another app. Then down loaded this app when the leds arrived only to have the app take over my iPhone. Couldn’t get it to respond and it wouldn’t close. I couldn’t load any other program till I completely shut my phone down. Tried to load another program using Siri, that didn’t work. Notifications would pull down but not load another app! Stay away from this amature!

TV Unit with LED

The TV mount came with LED lights that use this app to function. I downloaded the app but the lights never worked. Not sure if it’s because I had to connect the wired to the lights because it came damaged but seem like an easy fix. Unfortunately, I can’t know for certain but I am confident in my husbands knowledge and for his skills this should have worked. And yes I did download and deleted and restarted the app just in case. Now I know would never want to use something like this in the future.

Broken

I plugged in the lights and was very satisfied for about 10 minutes until they broke. I did not tamper with them. I took them out of the package and stuck them to the bottom of the dashboard in my car and they worked fine until I started messing with the app, then they broke and there is no phone number provided for technical support. The instructions just say “please contact us if there are any issues” but I can’t contact them. I spent 17$ on these lights and feel like I should get a refund or a replacement.

Absolute junk

This app is supposed to be used with oneuplighting’s underglow-x system. From the beginning, I’ve had issues with getting this app connected with the lights. I did not try connecting through the Bluetooth settings on the phone and only tried through the app as suggested. I also deleted the app and reinstalled it and still having an issue. Now I have lights on my car that are stuck in a single mode and cannot be changed…
