This app is so good to use for story creations, I love that you can add music now without being flagged by Instagram for copy rights. I have impresso as well and lift work works better when it comes to music and having better templates but they could be updated a little more just to change it up. Only I thing I like more from impresso that lift doesn’t have is the option to put multiple pics or videos on one scene where on lift it only gives you the option to pick one. Lift also doesn’t give you big selection to different styles of fonts or ways to set it up like impresso. Those add ons would put you at the top but right how I have to switch back and forth between apps depending on what kind of story creation I’m creating for a client.

I actually really like this app but..

I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I really like it features .. but I think it could use some maintenance… First a foremost the app will freeze almost but not everything freezes. When I’m editing a reel i can scroll through the clips I have and I can click the little eye to preview my video but every now and then it won’t let me click to edit a clip or even select a clip but everything else works fine? Really frustrating when trying to edit because, on to my 2nd point.. there’s NO WAY to save my progress , it’s like I have to create the whole reeel right then and if I exit out of the app everything is gone and I have to start over.. therefore I cannot restart the app when it freezes bc I will lose all my progress , this is a really good app in all though and I hope to see improvements soon

Awesome company and app

I didn’t post to social media for over a year because I didn’t know (or want to know) how to set the right dimensions and templates, text editors, etc. to make social media work. I didn’t know how people were dedicating so much time to get Instagram posts and other posts out. Lift is a great time saver that helped me overcome my fear and made things a lot easier for me. I also like the interface. If you’re serious about posting on social media but are confused about how to make it happen without wasting hours trying to figure out how to do that manually, then Lift is where it’s at.

False Advertising- Don’t Buy (Yet)

I loved the 3D ads the developed this app runs. I wanted to easily create IG Stories like theirs, as their app clearly suggests you can, so I subscribed. I’m a busy person so the three-day trial went quickly. After spending a couple of hours digging through the app’s features, I couldn’t find anything that would remotely allow you to create graphics like the ones the developers use to promote their app. I headed over to their IG account to see what their posts look like there. None of the posts there are like the ones in the ad. I thought I was looking at the wrong account. But I wasn’t. I asked in one of their posts how to achieve the effects that they are advertising, and someone from the company gleefully replied that those are features that they are still testing! (I have the screenshots for anyone wants to see them.) This is blatant false advertising. Apple should ban those ads until the feature ships or the ad clearly states that the features used to create the ad have not shipped. Buyer beware. Unless you’re willing to invest in an ordinary graphics app until the developers ship the extraordinary features that they are advertising, do not buy this app. I’d give it a 0 rating if I could. Even once they do ship, I will not buy it. They’ve proven themselves unethical and unworthy of my business.

Offers very little for the price.

This app does not offer very much at all and would cost approximately $25 a week. Oh no I’m sorry a month I believe in that is extremely, extremely way too much. I have found others that offer what this one does that are even free. I wouldn’t pay six dollars a month for this one. Possibly $10 a year but if you aren’t making it then no wonder unless I’m missing something. I’m also sorry to leave a bad it because it’s none of my business. It’s up to each and everyone if they’re willing to pay for it. Good luck. review, I believe this is my second battery ever and I am middle-age but can’t believe this price. Great App for Creators

I have been using this app for sometime now and I really enjoy using this app for enhancing my creative ability. Whenever you have a road block, Lift really helps brings inspiration to your content. I really like how you can edit and make everything personal. You can also start from scratch if you have something in mind that you want to create. The only thing is you have to pay to get the AI Avatars and the Instagram guide. I’m still on the fence to buy it, but it could be helpful if you really are a beginner. Great app so far 👍🏽

App won’t load to my paid account

I paid for this app but can’t access my plan. The app continues to open asking me to sign up for a trial. The two times the app prompted me for my password the loading icon started to spin but never quit. I have tried reloading, shutting off my iPad. My payment was accepted, I was charged for a full year, as requested, but now I can’t use the app. I have contacted customer service. If I don’t hear back I’ll cancel through my credit card. Major pain, time waster so far. Fingers crossed. If this is fixed I’ll write another review.

I’ll try again, but...

I just created the videos I wanted after about 45min and after “exporting” the video is nowhere to be found. Additionally, I can’t get into my saved stories section at all. The app closes whenever I select that option. I’ll try deleting and reloading since other reviews seem to feel that once you get past these glitches the app can work really well. 🤞🏾😌

Annoying, regret paying for a year

It’s like the 6th time that after editing 20-30 min the save/download icon has disappeared and you can’t go ‘back’ either. Your just stuck after finishing a video and have no choice than to force quit only to find when you open the app back up all your work is gone ….no auto save … No video or edits. SO FREAKIN ANNOYING. Wish I hadn’t paid for a year. Also really hard to get to YouTube/landscape format, still can’t find it. I just see that option when I land on it somewhere. Needs work. Not worth what we are paying yet. Posts should have much more templates. Best for stories. Frustrating to say the least

It’s ok but annoying

It doesn’t matter if you buy the app or not it’s been almost a year now and the only time you get to go back and checkout your past projects is just one time after the app does a self upgrade. After that everyone you click on projects the app shuts down and closed. EVERYTIME. So if you’re the type of person who doesn’t throw their phone or want to fight someone when the app doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do even after you pay for it. Then download it. When it actually works it provides very good content.

Too many hoops

I loved what I saw in the reviews and got the 3 day free trial. However, as one of the other reviews stated as a very busy person I completely forgot about the trial and was charged. For 3 days I was unaware of what exactly I was charged for and did some digging until I remembered. Not once did I use it and honestly don’t think I ever will so I tried to obtain a refund but man do they make it completely impossible to get one. For those who have read their policy, it gives you so many hoops to jump through just to obtain that! I guess I’ll that that $20 loss but wanted to warn anyone to not forget to cancel that trial! And yes I did cancel my account to make sure I will not be charged again!

The best app of my life!!!

Despite having a phone for most of my life this is my first time writing an App Store review, because Lift is simply that great! I’ve only made a 3 days trial but I’ve already created loads of Instagram Stories! And it just took me seconds to figure out how to use every aspect of the app from templates to color-pick and fonts. It’s simply a satisfying and I would recommend it to anyone!

Piece of Garbage

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Trying to make a slideshow of my wife and kids. Once all your photos are uploaded and set time slots, don’t you dare click a different frame size otherwise it destroys all of the other ones you’ve had set. I’ve had to adjust 80 photos twice now because it zooms in all of the sudden. Absolute trash. And then just added a song and it only added 20 seconds of it and then restarts again. But oh whatever, I’ll just go delete the song right? NOPE there’s no delete button. I’ve wasted hours this morning on this slideshow and I would love to give them a piece of my mind.

Nice but missing basic features

It is a beautiful app but it’s missing some basic features like the center align horizontally and I’m assuming vertically. There is a weird glitch when I try and triple click to select all text in a text box, it acts like I am done editing text. When I try to move the curser within a text box, it closes out the edit as if I am done editing. Those are enough for me to not pay a weekly fee. I love the idea of the animated graphics! I will be trying again once and if these options are fixed. 😉

When it works

It has started to freeze when trying to open my photos on my iPhone 12. Can’t add photos which should be the easy part. Unusable because can’t use my photo or add media it freezes soon after opening shame. Hope there’s a fix coming or deleting and cancelling subscription.

Good Editor, Terrible Exporting

The editor is good, was able to make a video relatively fast. However, exporting the video is a nightmare..i’ve been trying to export my video for hours, stuck on the export screen which says you can’t leave the screen (let your phone go to sleep, etc). Tried deleting the app, remaking my video, ensuring my settings allow the app to access all my photos..nothing works! So frustrating, I’d recommend finding a different app to use..if you can’t export what you create, a video making app is useless.

So much potential but missing so much!

Yet another promising app missing too many features. No tutorial or walkthrough on how to use the app. No undo button, no ability to remove overlays and things easily from templates. No ability to edit template items to change their size. Can only animate photos in one direction. Limits you to 5 photos even though there’s a reel and TikTok template. I’m a graphic designer and if I can’t figure an app out in 5 minutes or less it’s useless to me and removed from my phone. Just learn After Effects.

Great. But Flawed

The app itself is a GREAT app and can definitely see myself using it all the time! But, the problem I have with the app is that when I have created a story, and save it, I try to go back and re edit the same video with different text/image. After exporting that second one, some of the elements of that story are missing, so you have to the start the process all over instead of just being to quickly edit the previous story.

I got charge twice and no refund and no service

I like the app, but unfortunately, the customer service is terrible. I was charged twice and cannot use it on both my cell phone and iPad. They refunded one of the charges, but canceled my subscription, so now I am unable to use the app. I paid $59 and cannot use the app at all. I have been engaging in a series of discussions with customer service, yet it appears that they lack the comprehension or the expertise required to resolve the matter at hand. Update weeks later they simply decided to stop responding. This app is a scam they will take your money.

Didn’t work for me

Nothing worked every time I added my pics and videos and clicked next it just completely shut down. It didn’t even work and when I opened it back up it didn’t even save a draft. I got smart and asked the ai assistant to help me create a video and it tried and said it did. They must have limitations that don’t make it user friendly. It said it uploaded it to google and Vimeo and all links it shared with me and said it gave me access didn’t work! I waisted a few hours of my time on for nothing. This doesn’t work too many bugs and restrictions I’m sure.

glitched every single time

I found that this app sucked. I was just trying to string a bunch of 30-second clips together. It would tell me not to close the screen while it was trying to finish the project, but then it would glitch out and close the screen before it could be finished. Over and over. told me that if I wanted to save my project in progress I had to register and make an account so I did. It still didn't save anything when it glitched out. I literally could not make a video. I uninstalled it from my phone and cancelled the (brand new) subscription.

Top for creator and biz 🥰

This is a super nice app for all content creators and some people with small business. I use it to make ads and for promoting my shop. If you create your own content, then I recommend this app. There are a lot of free features to get the job done, but there are even better features if you pay for the pro version.

Appalled

I am ABSOLUTELY done with this app! They took $100 from me for something that was SUPPOSED to be an personal review and sent me some bull! I reached out to support like the person in my first review said to and they literally said “sorry can’t help, ask Apple!” DELETE THIS APP THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY Do not and I repeat DO NOT download this app!!! I deleted my subscription and it expired back in January and they continued charging me up until the current month we are in (May) I have emailed them TWICE and no responses so I am now having to talk to my bank about reversing each charge and BLOCKING them from doing it again! This app is a SCAM SCAM SCAM

Marking made simple

Having sold real estate for 38 years I have seen and heard everything , and even then something new is always evolving the next day . One acquires so many avenues then it hits why not do three or four good. Lift makes it very easy to just pick up your phone and get yourself out there 😊👍

Has trouble uploading your work

I tried this app for the ease it’s supposed to give you for posting on social media. The templates and ease of designing a post are great, but it does no good if you are unable to load them to your social media platforms. Very disappointed in this app, I have tried multiple times over multiple days to get it to upload. It never works. 😡

Crashes in IPhone

I’m using this app on a seven day free trial and it does not auto save my projects. Consistently runs my phone, extremely hot and then crashes without saving my work in the middle of a project after spending a half hour on trying to create a real I lose everything, the app itself has very appealing features to use and I would keep the app to use it. However, I’m very disappointed that it runs my phone hot and then crashes without auto saving my work.

Your app is great for collages but there’s way too many crashes

I love using your app to create collages and express my creativity, I find it super easy and fun to use. But the biggest problem is that this app constantly crashes and when you go to open your project again, it’s not there. I spent over a hour making a collage only to see a blank template when I opened the app again. Please fix this, if this could get resolved I would give this app 5 stars.

Things amazing

I use this app on a weekly basis to create amazing stories for my photography so they can be more engaging. Also one of their newer features is the story reminder which is great because then I can ditch other apps and save some space on my phone. Overall perfect app and highly recommend!

Don’t work anymore

I was paying for the subscription and there was a general bug for 2 months I couldn't open the app. I really like the App, but I felt robbed for paying and not being able to use it. In the rush of everyday life, I didn't have time to cancel before.

Complete Fail - Can’t Export

I wanted to love this app, but after paying for a subscription to try it, when I completed my first story (which looked beautiful, though it took a while to create), I could not get the app to export my project. I just got the “preparing to export” spinning wheel for eternity. Did all the troubleshooting stuff: restart, delete and reinstall etc. nothing. Submitted a support ticket, which was closed a few days later by the support team without any response. Next app please, this one doesn’t work and has no support.

Amazing but Expensive

Love this app! I wish it wasn’t so expensive though, in the end I don’t want to pay $4.99/week. I wish they gave you the option to do a cheaper yearly subscription or even better - a more expensive one-time purchase for lifetime. I’d be onboard for that!

Glitches and loses my work everytime

This app cannot handle condensing 3-4 minute video clips into 30-40 seconds. This app glitches constantly, never saves my work, and sometimes will shut down completely when I’m almost near finished editing. I tried to send a message to support before leaving a poor rating because I’m so fed up and it glitches then deleted my whole message to support, as well. I do not recommend this app as functional to even a basic user. It’s super slow, glitches, the touch screen stops working then the app force quits on its own without saving my work. It is not functional or efficient. I’m going with Adobe Premiere Rush. It’s way more worth the money and it’s actually works without overheating my phone.

Simply Wonderful

Cliche time- I don’t typically leave reviews unless I REALLY hate or love something. Well, I love this app. Super simple to use. Aesthetically easy on the eyes. The features and controls are fairly deep once you dig into them. The subscription is pricey but it’s worth it to me because how often I use this app.

It Makes Me Upset

This is truly a good video Editor.., But it's terrible because it freezes a lot.. You can be working on a project forever then boom it's kicks you out or when you try to save it it says SOMETHING WENT WRONG TRY AGAIN.. That's super annoying.. Sometimes I have to turn my phone off and on just to make it refresh and be able to use it... The worse part is you pay for this app and it constantly crashes

Horrible company

The app is horrible. This company makes it impossible to cancel after the trial. The link doesn’t work and they will charge your card anyway. Contacting them is virtually impossible. I would not give them a try. You will not have access to your payment info to remove it. They store your payment info so they can continue to charge your card. Do Not sign up with this company. There are many other legit companies out there. This one is not one of them.

Great concept but glitchy

The app crashes and glitches a lot. After hours of working on project it crashed and deleted my entire project. So I redid it, hours later, crashed again and lost all the work. I’m done. Also no way of contacting the company to report the issue that I can see, so leaving my feedback here. My phone and the app is all up to date so that’s not the issue. It’s just not worth losing hours of my time.

Zero stars

I use this app for maybe three minutes and decided it wasn’t for me, but had already chosen the free trial option. I was left with no way to cancel this subscriptions, free trial. It wasn’t under my subscriptions. It wasn’t anywhere within the app and when I tried to email them back, I immediately got an email saying they couldn’t receive emails so now I’m stuck trying to figure out how to cancel this subscription that I never wanted in the first place.

Scam - Beware

“Lift” photo app is scamming customers out of their money. If you cancel a free trial on the app and it does not report to Apple by the end of the free trial and the customer ends up getting charged for something they did not want. I didn’t think I would get charged because I did not subscribe to the app but merely downloaded it. There are other reviews that state other people too have been scammed out of their money. I am currently working with Apple about this issue & getting my refund.

Won’t let me cancel my subscription

I signed up for the free trial but did not really like the app and immediately tried to cancel the subscription but it shows no where on my apple settings so I thought I was good and deleted the app only to be charged $20, I don’t see no where I can cancel this subscription and I’m not trying to get a whole new debit card for and woulda also loved to get a refund cus I never used the app but I wish right now I could just cancel my subscription!

So-So

This app is extremely glitchy. Yea it can do photo cut outs and provides templates. but from a creative stand point you have no real control over what you can do. My story kept resetting cut outs would suddenly glitch and all my clips would reset their duration extremely frustrating. Have no control over weather I want clips to fade out or do a hard cut out. Very confusing not very user friendly over UX is a 3/10

$20/month not free as advert

Basically if you don’t subscribe you can post your photos! False advertising brought me here and is the reason I’m ticked enough to leave a review. If it had not been advertised as free app to remove background I would have deleted app and moved on. But their ad said you can remove backgrounds and free app for life. The only free part is to post photos. And only 3 days to try it then $5 per week which is $20/month and not sure it would return that investors.

Bugs

I would love this app even more if it didn’t freeze and shutdown on me. Every time I’m editing a video, it’s starts to free and the closes. I have to save my changes after every edit just to ensure that I don’t lose it. Other than that, I love the features. It just gets VERY frustrating. Especially since I’ve already paid for two months 🌚

Developer doesn’t believe in app, why should I?

If your app only offers a 3 day trial and requires you to cancel 24 hours before trial is up, you’re trying to catch people unaware and bill them. If your app was as good as you want us to think, you wouldn’t need underhand techniques to get customers. I think you know people will cancel the trash app so you just try to get money out of them as fast as possible. $20+ a month is too much for this app and they know.

Awesome app!!!

This app has helped me post more content on the go and on all my devices!! I haven’t had any issues yet so I do recommend it! It’s been a lifesaver when I don’t really feel like posting. It makes it easy to create and post!

Good, but horrible subscription option

I would love to use this but not for $5/week with no option for monthly/6 month/1 year option/discount. There are just way too many other comparable options that are $40 a year. I can’t see how they justify that price plan when others are so much cheaper

Ripped off

Subscribed though website (Facebook add), I was charged 1 dollar to get my “customized posting experience “ only to get a link to simply open the app through Apple. Beware website users, you gonna be charged even if you cancel your subscription though Apple or Google Store. That customized plan give them access to your money without any Apple or so refund policies. The only way to get out is asking for a link so you can get unsubscribed
