Double fusions would be awesome!
This game is excellent and is one of my favorite mobile games of all time; one of my favorite aspects of the game involves discovering unique combinations between cards and achieving powerful combinations in battle. I noticed that while I can combine two cards together to get a powerful version; often times it would be cool to see two combined cards combine together to form Mega cards. For example combining water and human in a card battle results in a mermaid and combing a human and magic results in a wizard. What if you spend one turn combining water and human to get mermaid and have the option of either choosing it to battle or putting it on the bench and you spend the next turn combining human and magic to get wizard and have the option of either choosing it to battle or putting on bench. Then the third turn, you can combine wizard and mermaid to get a new rarity of cards called Mega and the resulting secondary combination is the combined stat total of the two previously combined cards with a brand new Mega ability. Say the human had 9 attack power and 8 defense power and the mermaid had 10 attack power and 10 defense power. The mega combination between mermaid and human could be called Mermage and would have 19 attack power and 18 defense power and would have the absorb ability. Megas don’t consume combo orbs unlike final forms do so it becomes beneficial to perform secondary combinations to achieve even more power.

Pay to win garbage outside of the normal levels
This game is fun, too bad that arenas are essentially pay to win scummy garbage. You get around 2-3 wins in and then it’s just some schmuck with a 24 damage 26 defense card when you’re about 5 days into the game. You NEED to put money into this dumpsterfire of an app just to break even in arenas. Even after culling my deck the best I could I can’t get past 8 stars. It’s complete and total trash and I recommend avoiding arenas like the plague unless you want to have your teeth kicked down your throat everytime. It’s worse when you play the normal levels and they’re almost TOO easy. This game is fun but it’s only fun if you spend money on it like every other crappy big name mobile game. And for the developer saying that they’re trying to make the game better; everyone playing knows you barely care, you just want the money you scummy bunch of mud-eating worms. You’ve been giving the same cookie cutter response for over a year and if it hasn’t changed since then, I think that’s a huge sign.

Excellent Concept, Absolutely Infuriating
This game is summed up perfectly with the title. It’s so hard to progress without paying money, even though the researching combos is my favorite part of the game, when I actually try and play the game it’s just throwing yourself at a wall over and over and hoping you can beat the boss. Your health doesn’t last long enough to deal with the bosses 99% of the time, and when you get that 1% odds of actually getting them down to no health, they get you down to no health too, and tie. Now that’s not so bad, right? Wrong. It counts as a loss, and you have to grind to make it a win, which costs your abilities. It’s just absolutely ridiculous to try and beat this game. Make sure you have patience and don’t get heated by games, because you’ll need the patience of a saint to get anywhere in this game. Or alternatively, the wallet of Jeff Bezos. All in all, this game is a pathetic cash grab with a genuinely good concept as the cover for it. It’s such a shame to see a good concept go to waste, as a game developer myself, I can see that there was passion put in at one point, but that passion has died. Some serious change is needed to make this game as good as it could be. But with the highly toxic landscape of mobile games, change is unlikely. I’m not getting my hopes up. But there’s a hope this game can become less pay to win. In a thousand years maybe.

Love it! But needs changes
TL;DR: Good game if you can power through and have patience, but needs changes. Current gameplay is repetitive, slow, rarely rewarding, and the main attraction (combos) is locked behind pay walls and an absurd amount of gameplay time before significant progress is actually made. The game is really fun, and the concept is very cool. But I have to be honest; if it weren’t for the nostalgic factor of reminiscing what it was like to play this game years ago, I wouldn’t keep it downloaded. I think with a few changes the game could see massive improvement. When upgrading cards, I wish it applied to every card with the same name instead of just individuals. The simple tradeoff would just be making upgrades more expensive, giving players another reason to grind. Secondly, I do agree that research either needs to have more slots (even just one more) or be a little faster. The attraction of this game is the combos, but until you put in some serious hours (and upgrade your cards with dust, which takes forever when you have to upgrade duplicates too) you can’t do more than a handful. I understand like most pay-to-win IOS games, progress is meant to be fast in the beginning, and slow and frustrating later on, but the progress here isn’t even fast in the beginning.

No changes, still not at peak potential
Game is remastered with a graphics overhaul but that’s it? No new cards or more story? So many people only play this game for the first few days then quit cuz they get bored and stuck in the game cuz of how much you have to wait. The card upgrade times are ridiculous, it should at least be 12 hours for a gold combo research not a full 24 hours when there is so many combos already. EVERYONE IS TIRED OF WAITING, LISTEN TO YOUR REVIEWS!!! At least make it where you can watch an ad to remove some time off. The difficulty increase between areas is insane too, have to research and upgrade cards which takes days just to be able to fight the next person and upgrading cards is a hassle itself, can only get a few upgrade materials per day so can’t upgrade cards fast either, the increase in amount it cost to upgrade to the next level is insane too. Many people are tired of getting pop ups every time we visit the main menu we get a pop up, very annoying. If you would make at least a few changes that ALL of your fan base has been requesting this game would skyrocket in popularity but for now it’s probably gonna stay mid unless they do what your fans want. All your doing is making your game look like a cash grab.

Another Cash Grab, No progression, Don’t expect help
Unfortunately this is another game that if you want to progress in the game, you’ll have to pay money to truly advance. Making your deck PRISTINE does nothing, the algorithm implemented within the app will RARELY match the cards you wait TWELVE+ hours to combine. Also there is NO user health increase for the adventure selection. The only progression you can do is beat the computer players to eventually level up and get gems. However this same app will increase the computer players health 46+……..Forty Six. While the users health is still at 30. How does that make sense? And to add, the computer player’s cards increase to platinum level 5 cards, being that they always have multiple platinum level 5 cards (because for some reason they should have infinity?) while the user is STRUGGLING to obtain gold cards…just like most of the REAL reviews left here, this game is a CASH GRAB and there is NO USER PROGRESSION. Lastly, the real kicker to all of this is that the “support” they offer users under their review is pointless, as they will just tell you that your feedback may not even make it to the game. Don’t reach out for help, it just goes out the window. In fact, if you don’t like constantly being stressed out, just don’t even play the game.

I love the idea of this game
I really like the idea of this game and the gameplay is pretty fun, but I have a couple of problems with this game. First is that it takes way too long to research new upgrades, especially if u don’t spend money in the game. This make’s progress pretty slow and leads to a lot of repetitive gameplay. It also makes me less motivated to get new combo cards, because I know it will take forever to research the upgrades to even make these cards usable. This is my biggest issue with the game. Another issue I have is that there isn’t that many options when it comes to gameplay. I would really love a real time arena mode instead of just playing against an AI using another’s players deck. My last issue is that getting gold and onyx combo cards seem virtually impossible for free to play players, which would make this game heavily pay to win in the higher ranks. Not sure why this version is called remastered because it seems exactly the same as the original. Despite all this, I actually think the gameplay is very fun and love the idea of finding combos and building decks.

Great, love it like the original
It’s a great version like the original, but the cards in the combo research screen feels way bigger in size. Also when you are on the second map (little isles) and click the first level (the caverns) and go back, the master alchemist card gets mixed up on the top left. And the next map button on the bottom left stops working. Next when you click the back button on the top right, it instead sends you to the second map and swaps the master alchemist card on the top left again and if you click it again it mixes the card up again. You have to experiment with the bug to find out how it works and to fix it. I love the classic simplicity of the game and the grind for the research and the difficulty. Im glad it isn't easy and fast to be getting the combos researched and making super fast progress, its all apart of the original game, the slow and difficulty is what makes it fun. P.S. Also it feels like the bosses got easier tho, or that could just be me..

Response to the negative reviews
To start off.. it’s a simple game. For those complaining that you have to pay to win. Untrue, I didn’t pay and eventually at 100+ stars at the arena. It’s a slow grind. Like… MONTHS. And knowing when to use your gems. Literally saving 3000+ gems waiting for the scheming pack to buy out everything in hopes to get my first critical strikes. The more you play and win coins, the more you can upgrade your cards, the more you upgrade your cards the more games you win. The more games you win the more coins and gems you get. Literally a cycle. 3 months ago, I struggled with getting my first gold combo card through the portal. Now I can get it in 4-5 days without losing and rounds. Be patient and keep grinding and you’ll be able to get at least Gold 1 in the arena in a few months.

Inflation hit the game hard
This game is a staple in my household. I play, wife plays, all 3 kids play. Unfortunately, the PVP doesn’t allow us to play together or trade cards. Maybe something that can be figured out in the future. I’ve been playing this game long before the Remastered version came around. Recently, they’ve inflated their diamonds value. The system now charges more diamonds for anything in the game and they cost a lot more. What used to be 50 diamonds, now costs 800, discounted to 250? What is up with that? Paid packs are 800 diamonds, marked down to 250… first off, they never cost 800 so that’s just a made up number so they can show a discount and make customers feel better about spending 250 diamonds on a paid pack. Go back to the old system. Since the change, none of us have spent any money on the game and probably won’t again. We’ve also not seen a content update to a 3rd chain of islands in a very long time! So, price to buy things in the game has increased but there is no additional content to play.

Rigged
I love this game. Played it since the original came out but there is ONE thing that I cannot stand. Later in the game, it is so rigged to basically force you to pay real money for better cards. No matter what card you play, it’s going to counter to come out on top almost every time. Card upgrade, they will play to match. Heal, they get a combo every single time, and match to where you may do 2-3 damage and heal 5 every turn. Fire, they get a combo every time and hit you for 5 damage every time while matching your cards defense to block so you’re always at the disadvantage. On the heal, they already start with around 42 base health while you’re stuck with 30 with no way to raise the base amount and by the end of the game they have 50+. Also you AND the AI can be down to 1 card left and they somehow make a combo. I just think if you’re gonna make the AI harder with cards they have , don’t raise their base hp AND rig their hand to always have the upper hand or make there a way to raise OUR base hp.

Broken PvP Arena
I played this game religiously about 8 years ago, decided to redownload it the other week and it’s still got that fun charm I loved. Unfortunately, the PvP Arena broke for me the other week and has since been unplayable. Im just starting out so I have very few cards and combos, I was ranked around 30 stars in the arena and all of the sudden all of my opponents changed from being my rank to being around rank 8,000 or above. I’ve tried everything to reset it, played arena until i got to 0 stars since there’s no possible way for me to win, and i’m still only able to play people ranked thousands higher than me. It’s been a week now, please save me :( Edit: It fixed with the update, 😘😘😘

Research times are way too long
This game is fun in many ways but the research times make it feel like you can’t add a new card to your deck without spending 10 real life days of research to find all the combos. 1 whole hour for a useless combination feels like a complete waste, where something like 10 or 15 minutes would be far more understanding. 12 hours for a single research is just laughably long when a card might require multiple researches before even considering adding it to your deck. And then on top of that, many combos are locked behind card upgrades, which adds to the already insane investment to simply unlock something which would already be handed to the player in any other deck builder. I understand the fun of this game is unlocking card combos and strengthening your deck, it just seems like the current system asks the player to spend a literal month researching before adding maybe 5-10 cards to your deck.

Game is fun couple gripes
Game is great once you get used to it. But some of the higher end levels and weekly challenges start costing you 8+ energy and you get capped at 30 after a certain point making progress tediously slow. Also the game store offers basic card packs which generally give you crap cards you can recycle for upgrade materials. But you can also buy upgrade packs which give you the same material. but after a week of saving up to buy upgrade packs I realized just buying the basic packs offered more upgrade materials than any of the booster packs so if you play just do that. If the development team reads this maybe fix this issue. Especially considering how expensive upgrade packs are compared to basic card packs. Why am I wasting time saving gold for less reward?

Inflation!
I’ve been playing for a few months because I got an ad for it, and nostalgia wanted me to play it again (I loved this game as a kid). It’s been exactly the same, and that’s fine, but just today for the anniversary event they gave me some gems! Oh, cool! Let me go and buy a research slot! It’s 400 gems. They gave me 500 gems. They 10x the price of the slot. It used to be I believe 60-50 gems. Card packs? 2x price, and this one I KNOW for sure. The pack with the archmage card on it is now 100 gems, when it was always 60. The uncommon pack is now 50 gems from 30. Energy regen used to cost 2 gems for a FULL regen. Now? 10. And that’s just for a 3 energy regen. Raising the price of everything makes gems significantly less valuable, and allows them to swindle more money by making the cheapest option of gem be 500, and making the majority of packs be less than 500. Disgusting practice. No one is safe from inflation! Not even the Little Alchemist game economy!!

Fun game w/ some issues
Like previously stated in the title, it is a very fun game but I will agree with other reviews, the research time is ridiculous. Another thing i’ve noticed, i’m one of those people that believe the game picks what you draw. I have quite a few combos researched for my deck but yet I keep drawing cards that don’t make combos. Another big thing that bothers me is the fact you can’t lock your cards. I get that you need to be careful on what cards you recycle but I still feel like it would be helpful to be able to lock the ones you don’t want recycled. Something else that bothers me is in the armory it says in order to get certain upgrades “you must reach the required rank the previous week to earn this item.” Okay, so why doesn’t it tell me what the required rank is so that I know what goal I have to reach? That would be nice to know. It is a fun game but frustrating and requires a crap ton of patients.

Not good for new players
This game could be a lot of fun….except for the fact that it’s only geared towards players who are either paying money or spend a lot of time (Free play) grinding and even that’s not enough. This game is probably the least new player friendly game I’ve ever played especially between the arena battles and portal games. I’ve been playing for 2 weeks and spent around $15 and I still can’t get past 80 wins on the portal game play. Not to mention they don’t teach you anything about the comp cards or what to do with the “final form” cards. It takes forever to research and you can’t beat anyone in the arena especially in the beginning since their all so much better than you so good luck. It’s clear the developers have 0 commitment to free to play players so play at you’re own risk. It’s definitely fun once you start spending money tho so depending on your financial situation it could be a fun game.

Absolutely nostalgic!
I played this game years ago back in high school when it was 1-2 years old and was so sad when the updates stopped. I love that the game has been remastered and have immensely improved since I last played it. I hope the game grows more to have a bigger player base to help/improve with pvp. There’s a lot more card combos than before and I love it. I also like that this game doesn’t bombard you with any ads or rarely tempts you to spend real money. You don’t need to buy packs to improve. The game gives u what u need. Even if you WERE to purchase packs, they’re not ridiculously priced. Anyways, it’s a very nice casual game and am happy with its comeback. Definitely worth giving a try

It’s Baaaaackk!!!!
Little Alchemist Remastered has finally arrived! I’ve played little alchemist for over 10 years and the amazing Monumental Dev team has made a ton of fans dream come true by revitalizing this amazing game! I highly recommend everyone to try this one. It’s pretty grindy, but the quirky cards and pop culture references are sure to steal your heart! Monumental is a phenomenal team who truly listens to the community and aims to allows the player bases feedback to drive the direction of the game! So if you want your voice to be heard, this is a great game for you! Hope to see you in the discord and keep researching!

Disappointing game
Was an excellent concept and I had a lot of fun combing the cards and see combos but it’s so heavy on the pay to win. Did mind the research gimmick, wish more card combos were discoverable rather than wait 3-12 hrs for a new card combo. In area the people you go against are supppper powered up like what the heck, was going against a dude with a 25 atk 25 def right as soon as I hopped in. And the adventure mode is alright, drop rates for “good” cards were terribly low. Not even gotcha games gave me this bad of drops. Tried doing some of the challenges and those have a huge difficulty curve, plus the rewards are not incentivizing to keep putting up with it. Overall this game has great ideas but is rotten with pay to win walls and keeps trying to shove you to buy stuff from their shops. Wish the design of the characters were more refined, were less forgivable. Felt like they were just churning out them to fill the slots.

Would love to see major mechanic overhaul
This game seems like it could have a lot of potential to it but there are many problems that I have noticed Energy The battle energy, which you use to fight, is way too low. While it does replenish faster than some games, its maximum is just too low (especially with the cost of fighting some bosses for the first time taking about 1/4 to 1/3 of your max energy for only one fight). Overall this should either be greatly increased or the boss energy cost be decreased. Coins/shop The coins you earn in battle have little real use with how expensive it is to get boosts. The fact that you only get one card per pack, with that card almost always being a bronze level, is also disheartening when playing through the game. Combos The combo research time should be less and you should have access to more. Its insane that that gold/diamond combos are 24 and 48 hours respectively (with only having access to 2 combo research slots for majority of the beginning game). Overall, I thought I would love this game more and I don’t mind grinding out stuff but this game is just too much effort for VERY little pay. Even if this is a pay to play game, the game isn’t worth investing into if its base self is so poor quality to play with.

Great game
This is a great game it really is. The whole ability of fusing cards to make stronger ones and based on succession you can heal yourself or increase attack or defense based on you character is a great idea. It would be a higher review but after a few hours of gameplay you become almost stuck. You either have to constantly wait for card combos to research or become impatient enough to drop money to increase power to progress enough to even reap any rewards. I’m all for occasional spending on a game you like to show your support and gratitude for and to the creators but there’s a line where it becomes just a pay to play. Like I said it’s a great great game just needs to be balanced a bit more so it doesn’t become a pay to play or even just an idle game waiting for research.

Pay to win game
The game is just as great as the original besides the arena. The story mode is A LOT of fun because every match is a close game and the events give you time to upgrade your deck if you’re stuck in the story. The arena however has gone straight down the tubes. The matchmaking is ridiculous because you’ll play someone who seems 2 ranks lower than you 2 games and then the next game you’re playing someone who doesn’t belong in your league. My most powerful card was a 21/18 on turn 1 and this guy plays a 20/15 with an ability to make it a 60/45 and I was dead turn 1 with such a big card. AMAZING GAME just fix your matchmaking because I’m not forking out money to play virtual cards with people I’ll never see

Great graphics but…
This new version of the game has great graphics, but has many bugs and doesn’t fix one of the major problems I had with the original version. In the original version, whenever you sent the app to the background for any reason including clicking on notifications, it would often reboot the game and cause a loss of battle progress and waste of energy or runes. In addition this new version crashes a lot of times especially during upgrading and recycling. Last thing I noticed right now is that the index is completely bugged on the card archive, it shows repeats for all the combos learned(3 or 4 differences) and not the rest of the combos you have learned, and you can’t also see what you used to create that combo as you could in the original.

Fun but frustrating
It’s a lot of fun and it’s a really cool concept I really enjoying playing this game, I am at level 13 and have no plan on stopping playing, the only thing that makes me a little frustrated tho, is that you have such low energy when your this low of a level that it’s hard to get new card while battling bosses, I’m just wondering what the chances on getting a card from the bosses are? Because it’s obviously pretty rare, I’ve battled Chloe about a dozen times trying to get her good card and I think I’ve only gotten 3 cards from her and they have all been bronze, it’s hard to battle over and over when each one cost 1/3 of your total energy. Other then that it’s really fun I would recommend it!

Great game
I love this game. I played the original, and I picked up the remaster and have been really enjoying it. A couple things I wish they improved on though. I wish they made it so you could see drop chances for cards on the packs you buy and the chances of cards dropping from battles. Also, I wish when you finished a battle, the after battle report was all one screen so you didn’t have to sit there with no way to skip or speed through the money you get, if a card dropped, and the exp you got. Especially when you are doing portal events. You sit there while it shows you your money reward your progress on the portal rewards, exp and I just feel like it takes to long.

Game is fun, but very frustrating design
This is a fun, simple CCG-type game, but boy do the developers make it as frustrating as possible. The first frustration was in Arena - when you first start, you gain 1 star for every win. But then when you lose, you lose 5 stars! This changes later (you start winning 5 stars per win), but man is it frustrating to win 14 games to start, then lose 3 and have zero stars. Then there’s the way the portal is arranged. At first, the games cost 2 mana each. Then it starts to go up (which also coincides with the distance between prizes increasing). The difficulty scales somewhat at first, but it doesn’t seem dramatic. Until you get to the prize you actually want, of course. To win a Gold card, you need 40 wins. So of course, after 35 wins, the cost changes to 5 mana per game and the difficulty scales dramatically. Also the UI is quite poor (selecting cards to recycle is made as annoying as possible). Just very frustrating design all around, which is unfortunate since the game itself is quite fun - starts out very simple, and gets a little more strategic as the game progresses. Overall, 2.5/5, which I’ll round up to a 3.

Fun but needs some tweaking
I really like the card combat genre and this game does that well. I like the cards and the card combos. This game is fun. It needs some attention in the arena area. I’m not expecting to stomp everyone every time , but I’m new and getting players that are my star level but have super cards and card combos that destroy me without me doing a bit of damage. Maybe calculate the cards into the matchmaking for the arena? Also, the energy to play rounds in the adventure area. You run three rounds and you’re done. You either have to pay jewels or go to another game until it refills. You spend jewels on new cards etc. You aren’t playing the game much. Other than that love the game.

Lil alchemist honest review
I honestly really enjoy the game. I’ve been playing steadily for around 6-8 months. But it seems as though every time I make a massive stride week by week. That the other players in the world (which are bots) make that same stride. I have stayed in the same pvp arena and can’t progress because of the programming of these “players”. It has become so mundane that I can predict their move everytime they beat me. Not to mention heroics where I somehow get close to getting under 1500 each week. But the problem is that I continue to defeat more and more bosses, yet still can’t get under 1500. The games is programmed for me to stay outside of it unless I spend 50 gems to restart one day. I’m sick of getting screwed over by bots. Just wish the game didn’t try to make up the player base with bots.

Game cheats/unfair matchmaking
Don’t play the arena setting unless you want to be continuously angry. The matchmaking is broken and will constantly put you against stronger foes who have way more stars than you. I would understand if someone with a strong deck started the arena late and was working their way up but on more than a dozen occasions I’m pitted against foes who are on the same tier as me but have 6-9 stars more than me. I don’t understand how the matchmaking works and there is no transparency surrounding it. The story mode is fun and passes the time but once you beat everything there’s not much to do. Just be sure to not spend money in this app as it only benefits in the arena and you don’t need to spend a dime to play/beat the other parts of this game (just a little patience).

Not the same game
Not at all the Little Alchemist I’ve been playing and loved. This new version is watered down and choppy, the animations are terrible and the new graphics/art style is horrible. It doesn’t have the same feel and is missing in a lot of the small details like the color of the Alchemy bottle when researching combos. Feels like it lacks all of the love and passion Kongregate put into the original. Have a feeling Monumental is just going to milk this game and throw it away when they realize there isn’t much monetary value left in it. The new arena ranking system is ludicrous, as within five games i’m being ranked somewhere at 6000 at gold 3 whereas in the original i’m rank 637 at gold 2. Only reason i even bothered migrating was to see if I could claim my seasonal rewards in Arena. Disappointed by the fate that befell this beloved nostalgic game.

Fun game, slow progress
Love the concept of this game, getting new cards and discovering new combos is super fun, and the gameplay is fun too. However I just downloaded the game two days ago and progression has already gotten extremely slow. I’ve played several other card based battling games like this, and in many of those, it took months of F2P gameplay to reach the same point of slowness that I reached in this game in two days. There just simply isn’t enough to do, and unlike in a lot of other games where good cards are much easier to get with money, but still obtainable without, getting the top level cards in this game without spending money seems actually impossible, or at least the player isn’t given any information on how to get them without spending money. I understand you guys have a business to run and need to make money, and that money comes from microtransactions. But the early gameplay needs to hook the user in, keep them interested without spending money, so then the purchases can come later.

Me and my wife play this game together and we would really like to battle each others deck. But that doesn’t seem to be an option. It would be great if you could search a persons player ID and be able to request battles wither them! And it could even show there like fav or most used card to spice it up! So it would be great if in your next update you add a feature where we can request pvp battles! If they didn’t have anything to do with the rankings then it would just be a fun cool game feature. We loveee this gameeee!!!

Great Game
There are hours of content to go through and the concept is simple enough it does not take much to pick up. It can be a bit grindy at times, but there is no constant demand for you to come back and play which makes it easy to take the game at your own pace. You will hit points in the game when where the challenges become too much to overcome and the simplest way forward seems to be micro transactions, but the developers created many opportunities for you to grow in power if you just backtrack a bit.

Not balanced well
You can basically cruise through a little more than half of the game with no skill and very few cards/combos found, but once you get to a certain level, all of a sudden you’re losing over and over again. I used to play the first game religiously and had a similar problem, I just thought it might be resolved in the remastered version. It’s a fun game, but it’s really hard to enjoy when you get stuck for days at a time on one opponent waiting for your combos to be done. In addition, I assumed the goblin’s level (bronze, silver, gold, etc.) would correspond to the level of cards it has (bronze, silver, gold, etc.) but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Watered down version of the original
Shame to say that a game I used to really enjoy has turned into a game where you must pay to win or literally play for months straight to be able to beat a silver goblin or the next boss you’re stuck on. It’s unacceptable that even in PvP you’re truly not playing other people. It also seems that each boss and “player” will literally play a card that counters your exact card so you physically cannot win until you overwhelm the boss with insane cards that no one can beat. This heavily urges players to pay for packs and upgrade boosts which will allow them to beat a couple bosses and then they will notice they’re underpowered again and go back to the store. Worst possible route the developers could have taken and it’s truly saddening.

Decent game, needs research finder button
Game is an ideal mobile game. Bit gridy but you only play for like 10 min at a time every few hours once you get to 30 energy. Gem prices seem a bit steep but you don’t need them and can get them for free. Please for the love of god add a way to auto find research combos. I did not give 5 stars because when checking if I have any combos to research I have to go card by card and it takes forever, adding nothing to the game but frustration. Not sure how hard it would be to add but a button that picks the first combo you can research but it would be fantastic!

Fun concept, stupid pay to win
Game disappointed in all the same ways it did last time. Incredibly dated pay to win mechanics. You have an extremely limiting energy system, an underwhelming in game currency paired with an overpriced premium currency, timers on unlocking new combos that can be bypassed by spending money, card upgrading to incentivize buying in mass with little return. Excessive grinding of the same enemies to artificially extend the story mode content. I wrote out several paragraphs explaining my gripes with all of these put into one game, but mobile game companies either get it or they don’t at this point, this one clearly doesn’t, guess I gotta find another mobile game.

Cash Grab
Bring the old little alchemist back. This new one barely lets me progress, getting cards are rare even common ones you want duplicates of, arena fights always are against someone with a bunch of strong cards, special events are the same way, research speed is INSANE to the point you have to wait an ENTIRE day for just some weak card combo you don’t even want, prices to speed it up are wild. Since almost half the research ones are 24 hours they expect you to spend 24 gems to ever get any decent combos before you grow old and die (basically 2 dollars any time you want to research anything useful so let’s say they expect 10 bucks every 5 combos), just straight up say you want money not players.

Decent for what it is
Great time killer, no issues out the game and no ads. I would just like to see a button to buy 10 instead of 1 at a time, or a higher grade pack of cards available to purchase with coins, having only the one pack kinda blows, or at least get a guaranteed gold card after 20 draws, or a guaranteed onyx after 60 or so. And when I recycle cards I’m not a fan of the animation that takes forever if you are recycling a ton of cards. Other than that great game.

1 year update
I get that it is cool boosting gems and giving us free ones and that’s nice but you literally just increased the price of everything in the shop too by the same amount. Not only that but now grinding gems to buy card packs will be impossible since you get 1 gem per goblin once a day to try and buy a card pack that’s now 250 gems instead of 25 or 50. This is just for the update though. Other than that I love this game but I feel like if you are going to do that each goblin needs to drop 10 gems each day or it will turn into one of those pay to play games and you will lose thousands of players.

It’s alright
The game is definitely pay to win, I read other reviews that talked about the cards taking forever to upgrade thought that would be farther in but boy was I wrong right away you are looking at about 6 hours for almost any decent card combo to be researched. Then there’s the shop where you can only buy basic boosters with coins earned in game to buy any decent cards it cost gems which you can earn by leveling but only one gem every few levels, the difficulty scaling is off the charts as well. Anyways it’s fun if you play passively. Don’t even aim for the arena if you don’t plan on spending cash for cards and upgrades. If you’re looking for a ccg I recommend mtg:arena or hearthstone

Updated version!
I used to play this game a long time ago, i redownloaded the old version like a year ago and finally this new one is out. Tbh I was expecting so much more. I’d love if this game had more content and things to do. Once you complete the campaign then it’s just down to arena which is fun but I just feel that more content would keep me engaged for long. Having fun tho. I love the concept, this game made me have a niche for these types of card games. A lot of games don’t compare to the simplicity with combinations and fighting style. Please more updates and content!!

Great Concept!
Love the game, lots of fun things to do(unsure how old game is), easy to pick up. My only complaints would be how it forces a text box when you have excess money and reminds me of Navi from tLoZ:tOoT… (Link! Listen!) and the lack of support to know what you want to build towards and some timers. All of these are quality of life fixes, but the game hasn’t crashed on me, there are some fun nostalgia nods, and I think it seems clear that this is a labor of love. Great game when you are sick and tired and want moderate strategy and a chance to rest(once you know your deck it almost plays itself.) Great job, Devs!

Fun game, hard to progress without paying
I remember playing the original which was also fun, but playing it again now I’m finding that it’s hard to really do any of the events beyond the default story. Specifically events that occur in the Portal section or in trying to fight the Goblin minibosses that can give you much rarer cards, I’ve found that it’s much less of a pitched fight, and more of an impossible struggle. While I understand it’s not supposed to be easy to get some of the rarer resources and cards from these events, it also shouldn’t be something that is practically impossible without paying for the game’s currency.

Great Game, Needs REAL multiplayer
this game would rise to a whole other level if it had actual multiplayer in arena and the ability to friendly battle your friends. Even if the player pool is too low for actual multiplayer there should at least be a way to battle friends but i just can’t justify spending money on a game where you’re always battling AI. One last note, the defeat screen takes too long to play it should scale with the battle speed at least. Please consider adding multiplayer amongst actual players and friends :)

Good Game. Extremely Annoying As Well.
The game is pretty good, my time on the app was about 10 minutes, and I only played the first 3 levels. Now, I didn’t lose at all, the loading was the problem, I don’t know if others experienced this, but the loading took AGES. And then, very suddenly, the app tells me something along the lines of I wasn’t connected to the internet and put me back on the loading screen, but when I checked, I WAS on the internet, so 2 things. 1. The long loading wasn’t a lack of internet. 2. It said I wasn’t on internet, even though I was, 10/10 game. 0/10 loading.

Cool game looks better match making broken
I just restarted the game after many years. Love the new updated look. But the game takes 6 hours to unlock ONE recipe combo. Little excessive if you ask me, in the mean time you get cards that can be combined but won’t until you unlock em. So pretty much forever until you can compete in multiplayer. And when you do you have a 0 rank and somehow match up with other players that have a fully upgraded deck and your stuck with 2-1 horse that can’t fuse with anything yet. Single players cool for a min but it’s a game that’s cool for a day then you uninstall because it’s asking for more commitments than a catholic.

Awful microtransactions
The concept for this game is really cool and the art is honestly great but the the distribution of the premium currency gems is sparse to the point of needing to spend money to get any powerful cards without hours of grinding. I also don’t like the battle rewards system. As you rematch the story mode “bosses” cards are added to the prize pool in exchange for the bosses getting harder. The game fails to tell you that the rarer cards you unlock only have a 1% chance of being rewarded meaning that you probably will probably never get them. The idea is cool and the art is well done but the game design is greedy for your time and money.

Neat game
The game boasts a decent card system that centers around combining cards to create stronger ones. However, the pace of the game is painfully slow. The process of obtaining these combinations involves hours of researching, and while you can try to acquire combo cards through story progress, the energy system is insufficient, requiring frequent and frustrating waiting periods for it to recharge. The PvP game mode is available, but climbing the ranks requires the coveted combo cards. Ultimately, the game relies heavily on researching and unlocking cards, making progression a slow and arduous process. Unfortunately, the only solution to expedite progress seems to be through microtransactions. Therefore, if you are a reckless spender, this game may be for you.
