I fondly remember the old Live365 app, and was very sad to see it go. I'm thrilled that it is back. However, I have a few questions. When I bring up a genre, such as Classical, only a few stations appear, and I know there are more than that. Does anyone out there know how to find the rest of them? And does anyone know how to get those stations that won't come up to do so? Also, I was in the middle of a free trial membership when the old app literally vanished, and I find nothing on membership, free or otherwise. If anyone knows, please write a review about it, as there seems to be no Contact Us feature on the web site, and little help within the app, except for broadcasters.
The “new” Live365 got off to an exciting start, and seemed to be better poised than the old one to stay afloat and even prosper. They know the mobile space is important, and are trying to gear the biz around that. Unfortunately, their early app was glitchy and never got cleaned up; a later version was a nice cosmetic makeover, but the service still has ongoing problems that no one can lock down- streams stall, skip and suddenly die, same songs repeat on many stations too quickly, etc. So even when a later incarnation of the app came along, it was worth far less as a result of being able to tune in to something that might reliably stream for 10 minutes before going mysteriously dead and requiring a restart. Don’t worry- the desktop and other users will typically be dealing with the same problem you’re having on the app.
I’m on an iPhone and when I have the live 365 app playing WION 92.7 (awesome station) and I go to open facebook and listen at the same time, it usually seems to stop the music app. Not sure why but that would be nice to see fixed. Thanks.
First the good. Adding my favorite station, then launching it when I open the app was very easy. The quality of the audio is excellent. Where it falls short is in presentation. When first launched it looks fantastic, both on my iPhone and in CarPlay. However that only lasts until the first song change After that, the song meta updates immediately but the cover art does not. By the third or fourth song the cover art does finally update, but it updates to the second song played, not the fourth or fifth. From then on, the artwork is three or four songs behind what is actually playing. Fix this issue, and it’s a five star app!
Well, in my previous review, I said that I didn’t expect an update to fix problems that were introduced in version 2.4.0. I was totally wrong about this. The voice over issues I noted in an earlier review have all been corrected. Thank you Live 365. Developers often ask that you write them before posting a review. I should’ve done this. I’m very grateful for the update.
Remember, you can search for most broadcast stations by call letters (ex. WXYZ) or slogan. Then, set these as favorites using the little heart-shaped symbol. This will give quick access to those you like best. The “Last Played” feature is accessed by swiping left from the station you’re playing. It provides a list of songs and other programming elements for review. In all, it’s a dandy app!
My 15 years On-Air in various cities and various formats we’re definitely 15 of the greatest years of my entire life! I really enjoy this app and many of the stations on it, especially Classic Deep Cuts, The Rock, and the Christmas one…but I hate having to uninstall and reinstall it so frequently! Sometimes it hooks right up to my car speakers like a charm, but often it just won’t come back on if I have to turn it off or get a call…please fix this!
When searching through genres & selecting a station, it kicks you back out to the main page instead of where you left off scrolling through a specific genres when you want to go back. Can you fix that?
The app works much better! And faster too. The only complaint is that you need to have a place for the favorites in the home page. Hard to find the favorites that are saved.
I am an avid listener of ATL Radio X and love it on this app! Easy to search for the station and the favorites option is a breeze to use to find it before i drive off in the car! Glad this is back! Hopefully it can grow to bigger than it was before
If you search Greenline Radio you’ll get the best music from the hot 100 billboard chart and much more. Not much rap/ R&B and Soul it’s more pop. So, if you are into pop come listen to Greenline Radio right now and download the greenline radio app on AppStore or Google Play!
I had the old app, and missed it when Live365 went on a year-long hiatus. Thank goodness it's back! These are all independent stations, most of which are only here. Some are available on other apps, but all of them are native to Live365.
Every time I use this app I have to uninstall and reinstall in order to get it to play again after I stop it when I’m done for the day. Of course this erases all my favorites etc. should not have to do a reinstall EVERY TIME to get it to play again. Til this issue is fixed only 2 stars. iOS 15 iphone11
App works great, easy to find stations and the playback has been uninterrupted so far. Wondering if there’s an update in store for the iPhone X display.
Can't use it on my 4s (and no I'm not buying a new one- this one works fine). It crashes after 2 minutes of use and the c p u are off the charts. Old live 365 and competitors I have on this old phone don't have the same problem. So I will delete the app try again another time!
not a bad looking app but the info for each song often doesn’t display until after the next track is playing. sort of misleading and embarrassing for LIVE365
I just updated my iPhone to iOS 15.0.2 and the Live365 app doesn't work right with it. When I first turn my phone on, I can play stations ok, but if I use the Internet for anything, then the stations won’t play after that. Please fix. It used to work right.
Cant delete old stations that i have added... have to scroll to the ones that work. Also wish it would play automatically when i click a new station. Other than those its a great app!
Why all of a sudden we have commercials on “Classic Deep Cuts”. Has “Live 365” been purchased? If you have a monthly subscription to “Live 365”, does this eliminate the added commercials to your list of listening stations? Oscars Revenge
App stops playing after six hours of use on the same station. Displays “Back” button that doesn’t work, only way to clear is to turn off device to reset.
This app crashes all the time. And there’s no in-app ability to airplay it to your wireless speaker. Also lacks ability to rate tracks. Search function is also lackluster.
Since the introduction of CarPlay (which had me excited) the app routinely crashes and loses set favorites. Trying to reset the app whilst driving is not the safest thing to do.
doesnt work on IOS. Blank grey box on OS. not sure if its an update issue or if the app just doesnt work with apple products. bummer, cause I wanted to listen to a specific radio station.
The content I have listened to so far (WORJ.com Progressive Rock) is superb, there’s nothing else like it. But the app is barely very weak. Examples: The Last Played list is several songs behind. The song an title text on the Play screen is way too small. Developer: Please put a little time into this app! I will donate!
