When I got my first quote from them it was very easy to do everything right through the app and they were the cheapest out of everyone, but a couple of weeks later I bought a car for my son and needed a quote to add the new car to my policy but it could not be done through the app, you have to send them a message or email them because there’s also no way to get a hold of them on the phone, you’ll just sit on hold forever, they have an option for an agent to call you back but every time I pressed that option I got hung up on. Finallly I was able to get a quote to add the new car and it was quadruple the amount of any place else’s quotes! Any other changes no matter what they are have to be emailed to them and you have to wait until they respond. I wish more couple be done through the app and I really wish they were cheaper because now I have to change insurance companies. I will say that the gentleman who responded to me regarding my quote was very polite and had good customer service, and even he couldn’t believe the amount of the new quote.

The app is mostly useless and then you also can’t do much on the website. The tech with this company is so bad. You cant get a quote instantly. You can’t get a quote online once you’re a customer. You can’t change your policy easily. You can’t just get quotes over the phone OR online. They email you. Eventually. And they make you start all over if you don’t respond to their email fast enough. And don’t get me started about that time their system went down for over a week and they just said tough luck… call us back constantly to ask if we are back up. The people were nice but MAN… the tech is so bad. I feel sorry for the customer service people. I have no complaints about the actual coverage or price or even the people. It this app is TERRIBLE. PLEASE PLEASE make it possible to do things on the app or even on a website! I can’t even use the app to pay my bill!
Initially the app didn’t allow me to make my second payment as it kept refreshing the payment screen and my policy got canceled so I had to redo the policy and after three days of attempts on the website I finally was able to make the payment on a new policy. Now that I am trying to access the app again it says I’m “not authorized to make the change” when I’m simply trying to log in. Now I’m locked out and can’t use the app so I guess it’s still new and they’re working on the bugs and hopefully get it going as designed. I hope it gets fixed sooner than later.
Good prices, and the app is going places. Hyperlinks are down at the moment; I’m particularly interested in the tab that tells you the high accident rate routes you can avoid. That will be nice once it’s up. The monitoring is wayyyy over sensitive and frankly you have to drive in an unsafe manner to not get dinged at all. I’ll get 1-2 random dings on my drive for normal driving like curvy roads, steep decline braking, or merging onto high speed roads even if I accelerate super slow. However, it doesn’t impact your score too much and I still remain within .5/10 of perfect on most of my drives so the few arbitrary dings aren’t an end all. App needs a bit more development, and should prob raise the hard accel threshold just a hair for Texas, but this will be an excellent product when finished.
Everything was going okay at the start, but once we were in a collision, Loop would not help us. They completely ignore our calls to get our car fixed. It took THREE months to finally get them to approve the dealership to do the repair, but now they won’t give us the check for the repair cost. Our car is ready to be picked up, but Loop is still trying to weasel their way out of paying. We have been constantly emailing and calling them and they refuse to pick up. And anyone who does pick up has the worst customer service, either telling us to call a different number or telling us “I’m not associated with Loop”. This company practices bad faith. Save your money, this company is a complete scam and they will NOT help you in times of need. I will remove the one star once I finally get the check for the repairs.
I have never had an insurance company who has a different webpage to do different things. Why can’t everything be on one site? For instance, to check claims status, or get policy documents, and make payments. It is confusing and inconvenient. I hate using your app and your website. Also, I am extremely disappointed that I am not able to file a claim over the phone speaking to a live agent. It is the most frustrating experience to have to type everything in when you have just gone through a terrible experience like a car accident! After all, what am I paying my premium for, to be brushed aside and not treated like a real human being??? If this is any indication of what I can expect the rest of my claim to be serviced like, I will be canceling my policy as soon as the claim is closed.
This is the only car insurance company I’ve seen that has put their effort into caring about their customers. Loop has gone above and beyond to be active in their community and give us quality car insurance with rates you can’t beat. I love how they’ve used data to measure what really matters when it comes to pricing you, unlike other companies that use irrelevant information like your occupation and credit score. Their app is easy to use, super quick to sign up with, and has a sleek design. Can’t wait to see everyone utilize this app and #ridewithloop!
Both apps are completely trash I can’t get into this one cause it’s saying my email is already in use and the other keeps saying it can’t find my phone number it’s literally ridiculous now I have to go online to pay because I can’t get into the app to set up auto pay then I find out after I renewed they changed my policy number it absolutely stupid. Half of the time when I could get into the app everything wouldn’t work. I couldn’t pull up any of my documents or it would say “null” it frustrating especially when I absolutely need to get onto the app. Or u go online and it like jumping through loop holes to figure out wht u need cause it’s not jus one website there’s 2 I can’t stand loop insurance and then I renewed and u went up on insurance it ridiculous.
I got a quote through Loop, was the cheapest. It’s been a month, I’ve tried to log on app, says there’s an account already with email. I tried to reset password multiple times, I never receive the email. I tried using a new email address, I’ve uninstalled app, reinstalled app and nothing. I can’t get ahold of anyone over the phone, when I did, I got the same advice that I’ve already done. This is a good indication of the service I will receive, which has been very subpar. I can’t even pay my bill because I can’t log on or get ahold of anyone! A manager was supposed to call me twice, I have never gotten a call. It’s time to shop for new insurance again in the course of a month. Thanks for nothing Loop!………
I am a truck driver by trade. This app’s new update doesn’t allow you to change your position as a driver to passenger anymore which is lowering my score Big time because commercial vehicles drive, accelerate, and turn differently than passenger cars and trucks. I continuously have to click on the app to acknowledge that I’m the passenger and not the driver because my co-worker and I share driving responsibilities so it’s showing that I’m driving when he’s actually driving…which was ok until this new app update which don’t allow you to update that status anymore. Mind you it’s tracking your driving even while you’re not driving the insured vehicle through Loop.

The insurance company is OK initially I downloaded the app for convenience like anyone else would and then at the renewal of my policy I was got it to download this version of the app. I wasn’t sure why it seemed the same but as soon as I put my card information in even though it initially said I would be being charged zero dollars it charged me $2.99 for the app as soon as I put my information inwithout any notification of that even though that’s not a lot of money, I can only imagine how much money they are making by doing these type of things
From all the insurance I’ve looked into so far, loop has a price that all high end insurance company’s have. Won’t be switching but did get a quote for a full coverage, it was $200 more for what I’m paying now. Really sad that it was like that because I was really excited to switch with all the hype around.
I have had loop for some time now, but one day the app logged me out and now I can’t log back in. I have reset my password, tried to create another account through the app and when I log into the loop website it works but not the app. I have told them multiple times but still no fix. They say to call or email and when I do so they can’t help with the app. I just uninstalled it because months later it still will not work. I saw another one and downloaded it and it asked for my phone number and even though my number is listed it says it can’t be found.
As soon as my policy is up I’m leaving. The way this is setup you are bound to end up with high insurance because unless you drive at 20 mph, 2500 feet away from another car, or live in a city that has no traffic or potholes, you can’t actually drive without getting dinged. It’s unrealistic. I live in Houston, TX where the streets are torn up, traffic is always heavy, and people jump in front of you without warning all day, everyday, so unless you want to rear end them, you have to hit your brakes hard. Using this app will in no way be fair to me or other people in situations like this whatsoever.
The Love and mission is what drove me here, love how the app looks on my phone and love what they are doing in the community. This was an easy to navigate and understandable app. It has let me quote, insure my car in just a few minutes, and still have a great rate. Not understanding technology very much I was able to sign up very quickly and continue enjoying my day ! #ridewithloop !
Using the Loop App has made me a better driver. I am more aware of my speed, following distance and overall surroundings. After each trip I review my score. If less than 10 I analyze what I can do better. I had a terrible habit of reading emails and text messages while driving. No more as I know it’s unsafe and will negatively impact my score.
I have not been able to log into my account for over a month and a half. The phone keep you on hold for about an average of 24 mins then hang up.. then they state use the app but you can’t access it. But somehow my auto pay continues without fault. I am not happy about the services that are been provided and I have had Loop for over a year now.. it’s definitely worth shopping around before signing up for their services. I can’t even speak with someone to cancel my services. I’d rate them 1 out 10.
Loop is lit. I could go into all the details about how easy getting going is, how great the support is, how it’s an insurance company that cares or how they’ll remove the hassle of canceling your current policy by doing it for you, how modern it is, how great the technology is etc but instead I will let you sign up and see for yourself. Bought a policy and was informed they could not underwrite me. Asked me to sign paperwork canceling policy and they would refund my $252 immediately. It’s been days and they never did, and they do not reply anymore. App is a little quirky. Lowered my driving score when I hadn’t even been in a car due to “rapid acceleration” lol. No way to differentiate driving from other movement. I can see this not being good if you walk, take public transit, or ride along with other drivers. Price was higher for me than other insurers.
So I signed up with Loop. I’m not upset about the pricing at all. But the app itself is an utter joke. I have followed instructions to the tee to get an account signed up for the app. However, after calling customer service, I find out they have technical issues with the app. The same issues I’m having is actually widespread. But guess what they are not having an issue with? Making payments on your account through the online portal. Clearly shows where their priorities lie.
I switched insurance and downloaded the app. After I switched I created an account. I have never been able to login to the app to pay my bill or see insurance info. I emailed and they said oh yea you’re having the login problem. We will try to get it fixed. I recently updated the app thinking it would work after 3 months. It will not. Probably going to switch insurance companies again this is crazy. There is almost no customer support.
Mostly good except for wrong speed limits at times
Speed limits aren’t accurate at times and it dings me even though I wasn’t speeding, it’ll pick up the access road limit instead of the highway. Also said I was using phone when I actually stopped at someone’s house for about ten minutes and it dinged me
You can NEVER reach anyone if you have an issue. They tell you to leave a # for callback so if you have a time sensitive issue, forget about it. Also, when my policy renewed it went up $75 and they autodrafted me which I didn’t realize I signed up for because I never do that. I just had a death in the family and I have to take care of some things and they were basically just like 🤷🏻♀️ sorry. Canceling and never looking back.
Not much to say other than I’m loving Loop. The app is easy to use. I got full coverage for $50 more than my prior insurance which wasn’t full coverage. Loop canceled my old policy for me without me having to call and do it over the phone myself. It’s been a smooth ride, pun intended.
The process of getting insurance was very simple and quick. They asked only a few questions and then gave me a fair and competitive rate. Also I’m enjoying the data insights features, about how much I’m driving and where I’m on unsafe roads.
Loop’s mission of creating fair insurance for all is what will move the insurance industry needle forward. When I think about Loop, I’m most excited for all of the people that will truly benefit from a much more affordable and fairly-priced car insurance policy.
This APP is totally unfair! It tracks/grades even if you are not the driver. I have noticed a decline in my rating score and I haven’t even been the driver. It is totally unacceptable and unfair that the app is like this. All other services have a device on their insured drivers vehicle. THAT is more LEGIT than a PHONE! People take their phones EVERYWHERE! This needs to be reviewed! Also the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!! Its easy to sign up and LOOP takes your $$$$$ but to het in touch with this company after the fact! GOOD FREAKING LUCK! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
When I first started, the price was reasonable, the app was showing driving history with behavior and you could see your score changing accordingly. But after a while the history feature disappeared and the score kept falling. Upon the end of six months policy, the new quote was drastically increased.
Signing up is easy and simple, quote is delivered fast and I was given an incredible price for the car I drive! The app has amazing technology that measures how safely you drive and helps me avoid risky dangerous roads. Definitely recommend switching over to Loop!
Nothing about this app was discussed during my call to get insurance. Now, several months in I am checking and it appears that it counts me as driving every time and that I am using my phone while driving a lot of the time. It does not show if I am using the hands free application to call or send texts. My son often uses my phone while we are driving. It also does not specify who is driving which would be nice to receive an alert asking who is driving when the app begins to track what it thinks is driving. The app itself is fine other than I believe it should be asking who is driving and how the phone is being used if it is going to track against our driving record.
As a Young person who is 26 it is hard for anyone under 30 years old to get liability insurance that is affordable . I have a clean record and an old 99 car” for cheaper insurance “. All other insurance companies want to charge me 175$ and up to 300$ for basic minimum liability insurance . Loop is the first insurance company to give me a chance at having something that won’t make me worried about being able to make rent or buying groceries. So to the loop team I say thank you !!!!!!!!!
My battery has been going down a lot ever since I installed this app. I just checked it and it’s been running in the background for 21hrs using 45% of my battery. Guess I was driving in my sleep? Also, I work from home and barely drive so not sure why it’s running so much.
customer service is abysmal. opening my account and everything was super easy but i got in a wreck almost a week ago and still have not gotten a single call back. i have called and left messages and gotten no response. there is no real way to contact them through the app either. my car is totaled and i can’t even get a call back so i can get a rental.
I am currently with State Farm paying about $188 per month. I was expecting this to be somewhat lower but ohh well… didn’t really happen that way. Got quoted around $350 per month. The app is nice though.
For an insurance company who has you do everything on the app, you’d think the app would at least be functional. They haven’t updated our policies yet on the app, and there’s no way to call anyone or view them on the webpage even though the webpage says we have an “active” policy. Definitely getting new insurance after this. Don’t be fooled by how easy it is to set up.
App is always getting stuck and there’s no way to submit a claim as advertised. It’s impossible to open policy and ins card even though the option is there. Customer service takes weeks to get back once you are lucky enough to submit a claim. Very disappointing after all the hype and the wait for this service and app.
Everything is difficult and automated, definitely harder than needs to be. Someone finally reached out though and helped me even though it was the day before my policy was supposed to cancel
This app has never let me sign in since day 1. Been having policy for 21 days now. When I called the number the number down like the line is not active. There has only been 1 person I have ever chatted with and that is no help. What is going on to get a price to Add a car takes 1 business day to submit a request. This is terrible
This company has 100% disrupted the financial services industry. From their mission, to their product, everything is on point! Excited to be riding with Loop!
I hate this app. There is no way for you to turn it off if you’re not driving but in someone else’s vehicle or on a bus. It drains your battery because it’s always running and You hate that it’s always tracking your location. I wish they offered the plug in so it would only track you while you’re driving YOUR own car.

The car insurance itself is fine. The app on the other hand isn’t. When I go to disable things I do not want the app having access to, it says “this setting must be ENABLE to ensure full functionality of the app”. First off, learn proper English before developing an app. Second, if controlling my phone is non negotiable in order for me to keep your app, I don’t need your app.

Tons of bugs on the app & on their website. The phone tracking driving used a ton of my battery life, it falsely detects my driving as hard braking, even though it’s just me driving through my apartment parking lot…. You can find better car insurance else where, DONT sign up with this company
The app is extremely slow to load anything that you click on. The app doesn’t give you the option to go far back to correct whether your the driver of passenger, can only view maybe a week driving history.
I like loop insurance but I don’t like how the is needing or is checking on my every move when I drive. I have no control of other drivers when stoping and going, how many miles I’m driving and etc. Insurance shouldn’t be based on how you drive because it’s impossible. why? We live in Texas! There would be times they I may have to drive more then usual snd other times not as much. I am not turning on my exact location! I don’t need to be watched 24hr seven! I’m not a child! That’s is only for teens under the age of 18 that needs this feature! Not an adult!
