I’ve been playing this style of game basically since they started having an App Store. They’re relaxing, not too hard, not too easy, a comforting way to pass the time and is not the “daily management” style that I avoid now. I’ve seen them evolve over time and this one, and this developer, is probably the best. The graphics have the necessary clarity, the puzzles are good, and they continue to try out new styles of puzzles that are fun. There was a period where I almost gave up on this style because it became nothing but medallions and amulets. There was nothing realistic about it at all and I didn’t find them interesting. This game, and this series, have much better objects, typically a knife, some fire, a saw, things one would actually need to solve problems and make progress. There’s still plenty of gems and weird keys for you folklore fans out there ;) but I’m really enjoying the Lost Lands series.
FTP not as bad as I was expecting; love Lost Lands games
Full disclosure: I am NOT a fan of free-to-play games because in general it does feel like a money grab. However, I missed playing the latest Lost Lands games from Five-Bn so I though I would give this one a chance. (Note: on Facebook they say that they will be bringing the pay-once version of the game to iOS in the future). The game itself is the usual high quality you expect from Five-Bn; I enjoyed seeing the younger version of Maaron and the concept that changes to the past can impact the future was something that is often glossed over in other time travel games. Morphing objects and collectibles could be found in each scene. The bad news is that any in-game help requires spending $. So if you don’t want to spend money, but need a hint or miss the map which tells you where to go, simply check out the multiple walkthroughs available online; I used the one on the BigFish site for some help on one of the puzzles. Playing this game actually made me work harder to solve the puzzles on my own. In all, I ended up spending only $1.99 for the bonus chapter.
I don’t mind paying for games, but also appreciate a chance to try a game before I buy it. FTP gives the full game and no ads nor push to purchase anything. It’s a LOT of game for $0. Even the mini games that call for quick reaction is doable without skipping/spending coins. I am happy to buy bonus game. I also like the collections where you have to find certain objects to earn a bonus puzzle. Two things, tho. 1. Re: bonus puzzles. I wish when i put a piece in the right spot that the piece would not go dark. By the time a person is down to the last few pieces, its pretty much a blacked out screen — not much puzzle to it. 2. I’d like to be able to continue looking for those collections throughout the game. Some story lines progress and the player loses access to scenes in the course of the game, and no chance to go back and look for a part of the collection. I hoped I’d be able to do that when I purchased the bonus game, but no luck. Thanks for a fun game.
I mean it. I’ve played every game you released and they are perfect!!! The graphics, the stories, and dialogues literally everything is perfect in each chapter. Especially this chapter it’s amazing the scenarios, graphics, characters and most importantly the story it’s amusing and wonderful this is the best game you’ve ever released nothing describes the rush, the joy and the best time I’ve spent playing it. Srsly thank you for all these enjoyable series and chapter 🤍🤍
I became hooked on The Lost Lands Games as they were all fun and entertaining. The story lines were fantastic; especially on #6. BUT, #5 & #6 have “bugs” that were bothersome...as far as with an iPad. The RETURN button is too close to the inventory items and many times I am choosing an item only to be brought back to a previous scene since the item chosen and return arrow are too close. This happened a lot. A real PITA. And the HINT button is too close to the map. How many times I am choosing the map button only to end up using a hint I didn’t need. Lastly, I believe the puzzles in the bonus chapter have descriptions that are too vague. Wasn’t sure what was needed...especially with the overlapping ring puzzle.
It was a good game as usual. My only real complaint is that these games have been feeling shorter and shorter, though it could just be I’m getting faster at them, or that this one was just f2p, and doesn’t have a duplicate where you p2p like the other ones do. I also thought that the time travel aspect was a little weird, but this is a series about magic, and I thought it was a bit weird that there was no call back to the last game in this one, there’s usually one in at least 1 of the lost manuscripts you can find. But I did notice that there was only 9 in this game, at least in the main story. Over all pretty good game.
Main character: I know how much Maaron cares for his mentor who is both figuratively and literally a mother to him so let’s stab her through the heart without explaining anything to Maaron in the past even though I have evidence in his own words his his own journal but I won’t show him that and in the off chance he does see me I STILL won’t explain anything to him and just push him aside and run like a murderer in the night without leaving any words behind like “You told me to do this” or “the swamp witch whom you trusts helped me do this and has your journal you wrote from the future” or ANYTHING BESIDES RUNNING INTO THE NIGHT AND DISAPPEARING LIKE THE WORLDS MOST INCOMPETENT ASSASSIN. Other than the stupid characters it was okay.
Ok so all of lost lands have been great. I plan on playing all five-Bn games btw. However this game (#6) has given me the first glitch. On the bonus chapter when maaron goes under water and has to pull the clocks chains, it didn’t work for me. I found the clue on the statue and even looked up the answer on the walkthrough and it still didn’t work for me. :( I had to watch 10 ads just to be able to move forward in the game!
I have only played up to game 6 but this is by far my favorite one. The bonus game was also a good addition. The story line on this one was so awesome and I loved the bits of action of being chased and the boat ride. This was also the first time I peeped the credits and I’m shocked at the amount of people who worked on these games. Well done team! Thank you for all of your hard work and creativity! Off to play 7!
Sorry Five-Bn. I’ve praised the 1-4. They were fantastic. Heavy lifting and notes upon notes. Loved them. 5 was much easier just a few notes and not as intuitive. But 6!! Didn’t take one note. Just lead you to the next task. Not much thinking or solving what to do next. Puzzles were easy. One of the last puzzles ( books on the shelf) was awful on a phone. Graphics great as usual but if I’m comparing to the previous games of yours this was wanting badly. Sorry guys I only hope 7, the last of the series, resembled the first 4. Seemed rushed. Why so easy?
I did like this one a lot, it was very creative and interesting! My only gripe is that I wish we knew what went down between the end of chapter five and chapter six! We were left with such a cliffhanger over what would happen to Susan. Was she just let free? Is she a fugitive on her own world? I loved the inclusion of our old friends in the divergent timeline, I missed ol Corko!
I have played all levels of this game and I love it! It reminds me of Nancy Drew games which is also my fav game. I don’t mind paying the bonus chapters to help you make more of these games. I was looking forward to lost land 7 but unfortunately it said it doesn’t play on iPad anymore. I was disappointed and had to look for other games to play!
I’m so thankful to be able to play such a high quality game for free. Seriously. At a time like this when the cost of living is high, it’s so nice to be able to relax and escape. A huge thanks to the artists/developers and others for their hard work and for offering this option.
I love this series so much that I want them all to be of the longer length! Make the difficulty harder as well, as it was in the beginning. I can’t say enough positive things about this series!
Lost Lands 6 was quick and I needed zero hints to get through it because it was so easy. The mini puzzles shouldn’t be called puzzles because there was no challenge. One was moving a ball to the center without any obstacles or barriers. The ball was one space right of center and you simply moved it one spot, lol. Normally you have unfinished tasks in previous locations but this basically wrapped up every task in 1-2 scenes. Super short compared to other LL games, especially #4.
I love this series so ridiculously much and this is the best one of them yet. The story kept me so engaged the whole time. Lovable characters, beautiful world building, etc. can be expected for the series but I wasn’t quite ready for the stakes in this one
I’ve played all the New York Mysteries and Lost Lands, and this was my least favorite. Not as long, not as challenging, glitchy controls, and Susan acts reeeally dumb, which killed it for me. The premise is super cool but it was underwhelming for the previous reasons. Anyway, I’m looking forward to whatever comes next!
I played all the other games, and this one is by far, the worst. Since it’s an in-app purchase structure, I bought the coin package that was the same price as buying previous games, outright. I had to use them to get past the glitches - such as the paint pot puzzle another reviewer mentioned. It is shorter than the others, and not enough testing went into it before publishing. Wish I had read the reviews before spending money.
I love these games. The stories are interesting and the puzzles aren’t impossible. I’m even willing to spend money on the hints to show my support. Keep them coming. I am a real fan
I’ve played lost lands since the first one.. they’ve all been bangers thus far. Can’t say one bad thing about this game or developers they kno what they doing.
The clock chime sequence doesn’t work on an iPad with the latest iOS. The clue shown near the statue (confirmed with a video walkthrough) doesn’t trigger the pendulum to open to reveal the key, so you can’t complete the game.
These games are always great. Graphics, puzzles…every last thing is connected and makes sense. Thx for helping me stay sane through COVID and beyond👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I really do like Lost Lands series. “I will find you and I will kill you” made me laugh hard and I love Susan’s new haircut! Nice story line as well. Thank you for creating these game series
The most fantastical interactive movie series you will ever watch!!👍💜👀 And ENJOY! Thank you so much FIVE-BN for doing such an amazing job with graphics story and overall experience! BRAVO🗡🔑
What a stupid game, after going back and collecting everything for the potion of destruction it wouldn’t let me use any of them wasted an hour or so getting that far just so it could tell me I couldn’t use an item where it told me to use it,won’t make this mistake again stuff your game where the sun don’t shine!’
I am totally hooked with lost lands and New York mysteries. Just awesome! When will lost lands 7 and the next New York mysteries will come? I just can’t wait! Keep up the good work.
One of the first puzzles has half the interactive buttons off the screen. I have played the first 5 of these games and enjoyed them, and occasionally run into puzzles that are difficult or annoying due to this issue, but I cannot play this at all without paying to skip this puzzle.
What happened to the option to watch an ad to get free coins? The first three games i played on lost lands worked fine. I played last week, then i got a new ipad pro 11 and those free coin option slots are all greyed out and nonfunctional. What’s up with that?
