Enjoyable, pleasant atmosphere and puzzles
First, this game is not sexist like some other reviewer notes before quitting around level fifty. Some people just like to be offended. The main character’s inventions are certainly quirky, but we’re all a bit quirky. Aren’t we allowed to come up with our own ways of tackling our day-to-day chores? Life is more enjoyable when we can appreciate someone’s individual approach to getting something done. Second, this is a creative game with solvable puzzles. It’s clearly not designed to drive you crazy with puzzles that seem impossible. There is a sense of accomplishment that pulls you through into the next puzzle. The music is truly fantastic; I love it. It’s pleasant and fits the overall atmosphere of the game. Great job to everyone involved. Make it through to the end of the game, and you’ll be a bit bummed out that right now there’s not another puzzle waiting for you.

Wished it was fun
After burning through chapter 1 of the game (16 stages), I wonder if lumen is like those long RPGs that someone will tell you starts getting really good 20 hours in. I don’t want to sit through a boring season 1 of a show because things become enjoyable in season 2 and beyond. Lumen felt like busy work. I can look at the board and tell almost instantly what path the lights need to take. It takes 7x longer to tap everything to set it up properly than it did to see the solution in my mind. Since the boards aren’t difficult, this is more of a fidget spinner than a brain teaser. The difficulty is an opinion, as is my dislike of the aesthetics of the chosen era. The annoyance of the loud, high-pitched sounds seems like something most people can agree with. I understand the chemical release when the jackpot sound goes off, but this is grating and misses the mark. The form factor, holding the phone in portrait and rapping with one hand, no timers or turns counting down, is absolutely perfect, and thus is the kind of game I would and do play while sitting in a full waiting room. I just wish it became interesting sooner so I had confidence it would become interesting.

Could be good, but…
The overall gameplay is pretty good. It’s simplistic in the early stages and satisfyingly more complex as the game progresses. The whole voiceover/inventions thing is just an irritation - it adds nothing to the game, and is just an irritation in my opinion. What’s more frustrating is the UI, which has several buttons whose sole purpose seems to be to go “click” - I still have no idea what they do - nothing happens except for the “click”. Worse still, are the daily challenges, which are supposed to be solved with minimal steps, but involve the sudden appearance of brand new components, with no accompanying explanation of their behavior. Those serve only to add frustration, rather than progressive complexity, which would otherwise be desirable. Many games involve learning through experimentation, rather than explanation. I don’t recall playing one that just introduces new “rules” in the challenge sections of a game, with no ability to learn what these rules are before you are tested on them - bizarre gameplay! I’ll keep playing it, but please at least, make those sections make sense, tell us what the mysterious UI icons mean, and dump the inventor VO baggage…

Disappointing
Played up to level 22 and so far I am very unimpressed. The graphics are nice and the mechanic is clear, but the puzzles are easy and repetitive. New elements are added seamlessly and without too much tutorial because they’re intuitive. That’s... fine. Least that should be expected from an Arcade game. The story really misses the marks. You start off exploring this box to find the protected inventions of Olivia. Surely she invented some cool stuff? She made the box, she has some craftsmanship... Nope. It’s all cobbled-together stuff to make cleaning her house easier. I’m actually a little offended by the low stakes of this lady inventor. It’s like the devs don’t take her seriously. Other “mysterious inventor” games have world-ending inventions, time travel, space explorations, invented by their male leads. And here we have roller skates with brushes on the bottom. It’s not even written well enough to be funny or tongue-in-cheek. My puzzle now is whether to blast through more levels and see if there’s a crazy twist... or play something else. Edit: Level 50. We went to buy new shoes because she used all of hers in the invention. If there is depth to this story, they need to hint at it sooner. I’m out, this sexist level of female stereotyping is putting me in a bad mood.

pretty good (but with some notes)
i found the premise of this game pretty fun, and the mechanics for simple enough for me to figure out. There's a good amount of levels to play, it kept me entertained pretty consistently for 3-4 months when i was bored. I was a little apprehensive going in after reading the review abt the game sort of pigeonholing the female protagonist into a homemaker type of role, and I feel to a certain extent that's definitely true! There are many things she could've made just for fun without purpose, instead of this "i wish my chores got done faster!" type of deal. But i don't think having her make some grand world-saving invention makes sense either. I think it's important for people to see that this was a slightly misogynistic view, but not like "cancel" it or anything like that. Just keep it in mind sort of. In terms of things I would love to see added, i wish i could zoom in and interact with her machines once earning the trophy! like tapping and seeing the machinery work? it would be a really cute touch!

Absurdly Easy
Aesthetic is very nice, with a mildly interesting plot. Now I will talk about the puzzles. Firstly, they are extremely easy. It’s almost mindless. I have already made it up to level 85, yet I still barely have to use a single brain cell when solving them. More challenge would be welcome, especially since this is a puzzle game. Secondly, the new mechanics are introduced far too slow. Every 10 levels a new mechanic is introduced (e.g. double-sided mirror, beam splitter, blocker). The problem with this is that a mechanic only takes at most 2-3 levels at most to master, so the next 7-8 levels after feel painfully easy and repetitive. Lastly, the stars. In each level, there are 3 stars you can collect. However, they are not a requirement. They should be though, because you literally have to try to not collect them to not get 3 stars. In conclusion, I would recommend this to a child ages 8 and below. I believe many 8 year olds would be entertained and possibly challenged by this game. But if you are anything older than that, you should give this game a pass. Beating 85 levels of this game for me was about as entertaining as playing 85 slow games of tic-tac-toe.

Great mind exercise, but encountered a few glitches.
Let me start by saying that I’m addicted to this game! I’ve played it for years and am now on the leaderboard in the top 1%. But probably the only reason I’m on that high of a rating is because I’ve been playing for so many years! And over the course of those years, I’ve learned that: your local time to start the day’s challenge isn’t necessarily the same time (there evidently are challengers from around the world playing this game) for everyone; that glitches can happen (as did to me) and you can lose many places on the leaderboard and basically those trophies and stars just disappear! If you’re tied on the leaderboard with someone, you can gain a position by solving the puzzle faster than they can, but know that speed often leads to lost stars. And an important factor in the game is knowing that YES, there is a solution to every level and don’t forget to play EVERY DAY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!! Good Luck!

It's pretty fun.
I'm on level 145 and have had to use only 1 hint. I don't know how close I am to finishing it but I know it's more than 10 puzzles away. It definitely gets more difficult around level 100. I think this game is more about quantity but I wouldn't say it gave up quality either. I won't lie I couldn't tell you a single thing about the story though. I play it on mute and didn't know someone speaks at the gold framed levels until about level 50. And honestly I couldn't care less. Sorry devs. I'm taking one star off because while I've 3 starred all levels so far, I like to verify when I come back to play. Checking the levels and stars is just really annoying. Especially when I'm this far into the game. I get it's like a movie reel and you can watch the frames but it takes ages to get through. Don't have a good suggestion to fix this though. Just my opinion to give. Do with that what you will. It's 161 levels as of right now. FYI.

A More Recent Review
I was bored on my computer and chose to download this game, I have currently only played the first chapter before having to pause, after the pause I looked at the reviews hating on the game, which I didn't agree with, I then saw that the date of these coments were from 3 years ago and decided to write a more recent review. A lot of the reviews talked about a glitchy mouse and/or poor resolution, I had none of which (albeit I'm on a iMac 24-inch), so I'm saying good on the developers for getting that fixed! This is a very entertaining puzzel game with an entertaining story line and fun visuals. Definitly recomed if you want to mindlessly play a game or dive into the story of how the creator of the box made and thought up her cool inventions.

Solid and Well-Crafted, but Nothing New
Lumen is beautifully made with excellent music. The levels aren’t particularly challenging, and the entire game can be completed in a couple of hours. The story is cute, though irrelevant and unrelated to the game. The only mechanical complaint I have is that the animations between levels are too long for something purely cosmetic that happens very frequently. It’d be nice to be able to skip that, since it gets annoying after about level 3. The biggest issue with the game, though, is that it does absolutely nothing new with the genre. There have been light reflecting games forever, and this does nothing to add new elements to the gameplay. In fact, it’s more limited than other games I’ve played in the past. Perhaps the developers will add new mechanics in future updates—adding more variety would improve the game immensely. That said, it’s high-polish, well-crafted, and a brief but fun diversion.

So disappointed based on description
There is only one type of puzzle in this game: one where you bounce a beam of light off mirrors to hit a lens, over and over. I had expected there to be a number of different styles of puzzles hidden in the box, a la The Room, not just different variations of a puzzle that already exists in almost every other puzzle game on the App Store alongside a variety of other puzzles. PLEASE change the description to make it clear that it’s just the one— it’s not even a new or unique type of gameplay. I guess it might be fun for people who just want to do that same type of puzzle but it was much too repetitive for me and the storytelling was not presented well enough to hold my interest. The graphics were nice but I got very bored very quickly which is a shame because I was really expecting something special from the preview and was eagerly anticipating this game’s release. If the preview had been clearer, I probably would have just passed it by.

Great game
2 suggestions: 1) have a feedback submenu item (it might already exist, admit I have not explored all the menus yet) 2) be able to set the speed the light beam(s) travel. The rate during challenge mode is about twice as fast as I would like 2021oct15 (Ides of October :) *The daily challenge is only accessible if the game is restarted. If I play the night before, pick up the tablet in the morning, the challenge clock indicates how much time is left, but is still showing yesterday's results. The only way to get to the room's hanging challenge clock is by tossing the game away, and restarting it . Request a button be added to the challenge results screen that on the next day the text 'Great job! Come back tomorrow!' becomes a button with 'Welcome back! Play today's challenge'. *Very minor nitpick: during the challenge, while the light-beam is tracking around the course, those mirrors that are part of the active course are already glowing before the light-beam has reached them. *Enjoying the game! Is someone handcrafting the puzzles, or was a program written to do random patterns, and test to see if solvable, with a scoring for difficulty?

A Superb Puzzle Experience
I truly enjoyed and appreciated everything about, Lumen. From the great sound design, the clever puzzles/gameplay, the beautiful and well done artwork and aesthetics and the commitment, I believe, to creating quite a special Apple Arcade gaming experience. I finally beat the entire game and I will definitely be looking forward to any new levels released in the future. I thoroughly enjoy games like this that, in my opinion, offer lots of fun and also help to keep your mind sharp and entertained. Many, many thanks to the developer of, Lumen, for all the hard work and time no doubt put into building, refining and updating this title. I'm grateful for all of that work and the apparent passion on display here. Thank you for such a fun and unique video game and God bless.

Fun game but could & should be more challenging
I have finished all 200 levels with 3 stars and have not used hint a single time. It is just not necessary. In my opinion the levels are too easy for a puzzle game; some of the “harder” levels require trial and error approach. Not sure how to put this, but good puzzles in my mind are “clever” - they require you to think, deduct and solve, rather than just tapping around and randomly get all three stars. The game itself is solid (or I would not have played all the way through). But it felt almost way too easy. Always appreciate it when devs interact with the player base. Keep up the good work! Solid updates as always

I’d love to love this game, but. . .
Firstly, the art is 10/10. Beautiful, well rendered, honestly I could look at the main menu screen for hours. The sad part is that I’d probably have more fun doing that than I have playing the actual game for two hours. It’s the same exact laser game everyone’s been playing since the 90’s, except you’re expected to take the longest route possible to solve the problem. Seems counterintuitive. I understand you’re supposed to “get enough light” for the film reels, but honestly the film reels are so unrelated to the entire rest of the game that it feels like you’re being penalized for playing at all. The film reels aren’t even made easy to watch, nor do they even make for an interesting side story. It’s clear that more time was spent trying to revamp this game concept than there was to actually make a good, challenging game. And it makes me sad, because the art really is beautiful.

Wonderful game!
Now this the type of game content i love playing. Im at level 81 now. I wish their was more achievements in the game and perhaps a way to make it more easier to see all the levels u done without scrolling 1 by 1. Would like to see the game have more new challenges and simply make them even harder so that the more levels u complete the harder it gets. Really hope to see new areas with different objects were u need to think harder in order to get pass the 3 stars. Once again good job on this game and I can’t wait to see what els u guys can bring to the tables to make this game even more funner and more challenging the higher level u get.

Relaxing puzzle game
Overall this wasn’t too difficult of a game. It starts out really easy and takes a while before there are any real challenges. A few later puzzles took some thinking to get through. I don’t mind easy sometimes, especially in an arcade game. There were some puzzles that didn’t make sense. I didn’t really like the later ones where the light enters a box and then randomly exits another one. I would have preferred that there be some indication of where the light would come out. That made it difficult when there were multiple such devices.

A peaceful puzzle
Everyone has your mouth on the music, it is lovely. As far as the puzzles go the game is beautifully laid out, the puzzles are not frustrating, which is just what some people, myself, need and I don’t have to strive to solve a puzzle that seems to be beyond my abilities. I play games like that and they have their place at this game offered me enjoyment peace tranquility, the layout of the board the ringingTarget ship, yes they’re not that difficult to solve if you’re looking for a peaceful way to spend your time with the soundtrack that will bring you tranquility, this is your game game

Loved everything about this game
I played the original lumen years ago and was bummed when I finished it. The game crossed my mind recently and I was pleasantly surprised to find this new version. I love the style, the music, the puzzles especially! I get so sucked in and try to win all achievements (40 of 47 so far). I don’t ever leave reviews but I had to stop to leave this game a review as I just finished what I’m assuming is the last level (285) bc the same level pops up when I try to play again. Now I want more!!! Kudos to everyone involved in making this masterpiece!

Initial Thoughts
Very creative game. I thought it didn’t require too much thought as I would accidentally solve the level by moving pieces at random, but it ramps up in difficulty (fairly) by introducing more pieces and different light pieces while still needing to get the three optional star pieces. I’m at level 61 so far and I’m enjoying it. Not entirely interested in the storyline that’s going on. Maybe things will get more interesting after getting a couple inventions. I really like the soundtrack and atmosphere of the game! The tracks remind me of the music in the Bioshock series. It would be nice if the game had the ability to “submit” your final answer/setup before automatically going to the next piece once the pictures are lit up. My sort of work around is immediately moving a piece when I hear the completion bell, but it would be nice to submit the answer at my own time when I set up everything to get all the stars. Overall, great game! Highly recommend 😊

Cleaning invention from a woman? How unique.
Really? Maybe she does something else later but I won't know. I was seriously disappointed when this great inventor (according to the opening scene) chose to use her talents to clean better and faster. Such a trope. Talented woman? Maybe she can invent something so her household responsibilities are easier! Next she can work on new interventions to make her man happy! I was going to play this with my 10 year old daughter but I don't want to reinforce these stereotypes. Maybe I’m over reacting but there is so many things that reinforce a woman’s traditional role, I don’t need it in casual video games too. The gameplay itself is good. But agree with others that the in between level animations get old fast.

Good game play.
I love the game play. Very intuitive as levels and difficulty increases adding new devices to the board need no explanation. The board itself is steampunk which I like. I took away one star for the creepy graphics. Olivia’s expressions and what is with the jawbone? Also, for an inventor even in her timeline I think the inventions are too basic and domestic. Why not have her challenge the norms of her day and be a breakthrough character. As if that was not enough she HAS to be rescued by male firefighters. She figured out how to get into the tree. She should be able to figure out how to get down. I would like to see the individual scenes as a video at the end of each mini story.

Fabulous game
This is a great game for those looking for something they don’t have to wreck their brain over. The pacing in difficulty is perfect! I don’t care for games that jump the difficulty to something ridiculous. This is a game to relax the mind. Not to overcharge the brain with difficulty. To the reviews stating it’s “too easy” go play something harder. No one needs your negativity around such a masterpiece like Lumen. Note to the developers, you’re doing great. Don’t change the dynamics or anything. Let’s not try to fix what isn’t broken. Fabulous game! Happy player!

Well made
First off, the grandfather clock keeping real time was a nice touch. Second, where can I get a copy of the music sound track? Its just soo relaxing. I wouldn't mind being able to close the box so you could go back to the opening screen with out closing the app. Really love the change from all the standard puzzle match games also having a daily challenge to keep the player coming back is nice as well. Overall a very well put together game. Thank you for coming up with it. 👍😊

Not Really Challenging.
First, this looked like a game similar to the amazing “The Room” puzzle games. It’s not. It’s a simple light and mirrors game. I did the first 20 levels hoping for it to get harder, but it really doesn’t. It’s very simple and if you work back from the destination squares, it can usually be solved very quickly. A suggestion is to add different colored lights and have mirrors that absorb some colors and reflect others. Or maybe have a green target that requires combining a blue and yellow beam - for example. How about allowing the beam to exit to right side of the board and enter in the left (like PacMan). Or too and bottom. Overall, it’s a nice looking game but it’s not going to have you scratching your head for very long.

Yeah, it’s kinda sexist.
I’m a male engineer. I like stuff about engineers. But come on. The box itself is like 1000x more advanced than anything that’s “invented” in this game. Shoes with a brush on them? A bike with shoes instead of wheels? That’s just like…a dumb invention. Isn’t this supposed to be a brilliant inventor here? Oh don’t forget the cat feeder. Definitely no sexist stereotypes in here at all! Nope, just a woman who loves cleaning and feeding her cats. Those are her main focuses in life. Right. The response from the devs to another comment, to say that “this was set 100+ years ago so these would be brilliant inventions” doesn’t help. I think they need to actually do some research on what kinds of things were being invented 100 years ago. By men and women. We had already been past the “brush shoes” level of technology for centuries. That said the game itself is well made and has a great aesthetic. The mechanic is fun. Buuut it’s all let down by the boring unimaginative story. This is as hard as I’ve seen anyone phone it in for “story about brilliant inventor.”

Solid level building for classic laser puzzles
I've been really enjoying the game. It's beautifully built like everyone has said. The gameplay is just solid puzzles in the classic laser and mirror format. AA needs more games like this where you just pick up and play a level or two (in portrait mode!). The only thing I'd love to see from the developers is a "Perfection mode" that we could turn on so that it won't end the round unless I've triggered every bulb. I often find myself trying to figure out how to complete the level while also having to work against accidentally triggering game end without getting all the bulbs.

Amazing game for iOS, do not download on MacOS
Hard, fun, and engaging all on the same perfect level. Cool story, amazing graphics, and super cool aesthetics. The background songs I also will never get bored of. But keep in mind, do not download on MacOS. Update: thank you for the response. The graphics, and processing power are not optimized for Mac, leading to problems such as boot looping, glitching, or irresponsiveness. It works better on my phone than my computer. If you could find a way to better optimize it for Mac, that would be amazing

Phenomenal
This is the best game I’ve played that has come from an app store. It’s well balanced between do-able and challenging. The graphics are great. It’s relaxing and stimulating at the same time. I have finished all 250 levels and am currently playing through again. My only frustration is the achievements. I have no idea how to get the undo button one. I’ve used the “start over” button and haven’t gotten the achievement sooo.. Nor can I figure out the clock one. This doesn’t detract from the game at all. It just makes me crazy lol. I really hope there’s either more levels added or that the developers have another amazing game in the works. I hope the devs are proud of the execution of this game because they absolutely should be. Thank you for sharing your hard work and talent!

Sexist plot line insult players and ruins game
Lots of things I liked about this game but it was so sexist I had to stop playing. Chapter 1, the “brilliant” inventor uses all her energy creating on a contraption to for house cleaning. The idea that women characters are so still portrayed as so one dimensional that she’s consigned to only invent things in the domestic sphere suggests she has no identity beyond her role doing domestic labor. Her invention is also totally preposterous. But I liked the game mechanics, and the description of the game suggested the stories of the family were interesting, so I thought maybe the plot would change in chapter 2, and I hung in there.. Chapter 2 begins with the inventor excitedly announcing that since she used a bunch of shoes making her invention, she has an excuse to go shoe shopping! Oh joy! This is the other dimension we are getting about this character: don’t be intimidated by her big brain, because she’s just as weak in the knees for new shoes as any all-American gal should be! It’s 2021. There’s no excuse for superimposing sexist stereotypes that - by the way - has absolutely no bearing on the game play! UTTER TOSH.

Really enjoy this game
This is thoroughly enjoyable game. Great idea. Terrific graphics. Puzzles that range from simple to slightly frustrating. Right now I’m on #199. I was very glad that they came out with more levels and hope they continue to do so. The only thing that I find odd is the story. This game doesn’t need a story and doesn’t really fit well with the one provided. I just turn the volume down and play.

Simple and tedious
The puzzles are obvious and rarely take more than a minute to solve. You have to solve a lot of them to get to each “chapter” of this story. Chapters don’t really pay off — the inventions are whimsical, but there are many scenes per chapter and many chapters per invention and most are just alternate shots of the same scene and the whimsy wears off quickly. Then you realize you’ve got another 30 or 40 levels to solve with the current invention before you see the next one ... The mechanics are fun and the presentation is quite lovely, but I’d rather have 1/4 of the puzzles at 2x the challenge with 4x the story.

Too easy
So I understand that everyone should be able to complete the puzzles, but that’s what stars are for. I played this game for 45 minutes and by that time have already reached level 65, that means that I spend less than a minute average on each puzzle, and the 45 minutes is also including all the time spent looking at the tiny pictures ( they are really hard to see on a phone screen). Also, her inventions are just stupid. Brush shoes wouldn’t work unless you move your feet like a brush and if she’s able to build a whole mechanical arm I’m sure she could make actually interesting.

Update erased progress
This review would be 5 stars if it weren’t for the latest update overwrote our saved progress. We play on the Apple TV and had completed all of the initial levels. We just went in to play the new levels and the game started at the tutorial levels and overwrote our progress. Very unhappy and well, I guess we won’t be playing the new levels. Update to developer response: Yeah we did that. That is how we knew we lost all of our progress. There was only one saved slot used when we checked and it was back at the beginning.

Ideas for the game
Add a feature that lets you create your own custom level or invention once you get to level 150 or 100. Add a feature that lets you customize the room you are in with furniture and stuff(the room with the box) Make a lumen 2 or lumen online where you and your friends can compete or try to beat a level together. Make a feature where you can share levels that you make with other players. I hope you add my ideas to your game.

Yes, it reinforces sexist stereotypes
I’m over 40 levels in and enjoying the puzzles. It scratches some of the same itch as Cut the Rope, but is physically easier for me to play (neuropathy in my hands). I put the game down for a while because I didn’t want the annoyance of the story. Devs, no amount of saying it isn’t sexist will make it stop reinforcing sexist stereotypes. Saying it is set in the past will not make it stop reinforcing sexist stereotypes. Given the title of the game, I expected her inventions to have something to do with light. FTR, I’m a woman and a scientist. Women were doing serious science 100 years ago.

Good with some tweaks needed
The UI is slow when the level ends. You should be able to skip the fireworks and the ending animation. Often the revealed frame has dialog but doesn’t show the image which is weird. You have to go up and rewatch the sequence. Kind of moot to have all that content and then you spend more time on an repetitive 3-star win animation sequence than you do showing the new story frame you just revealed. Difficulty balancing is pretty smooth, but starts off a bit too easy for the first 10-15 puzzles.

Needs a better Balance
I finished the game without breaking a mental sweat. The difficulty in solving the puzzles is a mixed bag. The developers need to do a better job scrambling the opening view because many of the setups required only a few adjustments to get to a three star solution. I expected the difficulty to increase as I moved deeper into the game but it was not so. Puzzles in the 100’s were easier to solve than a few in the 40’s. Apple needs to spend more on Arcade development. All in all, none of the games except a few rare exceptions are worth the price of subscription.

Enjoyable, easy going
Starts out really easy as it should. But luckily once I got to lvl 60 it started getting harder. I wish you could turn the light off while adjusting mirrors as the light gets in the way on the more complex levels. They should have the light off and a button for you to click to turn it on and off. The light always being on makes it easier to solve and takes some of the challenges away. Would make this game perfect. Please do so and it gets 5 stars!

I hope this helps you feel better
So from most of the games I see that lots of people don’t like this game and I just want to say that I haven’t played the game yet but it looks really fun and anyways I am a kid so the puzzles will be hard these games are for kids anyways. I bet the people Who are writing bad reviews are just teenagers who are solving the puzzles easily and think the story is boring. I hope this review makes your day better

A great incentive to get Apple Arcade
This puzzle game is fantastic! From its fun 1920s/steampunk visuals, sounds and music, to the intriguing puzzles included on every level. This is a wonderful game to help pass the time with or just give your brain a nice little mental workout. While it seems very simple in its initial design and layout, it only helps provide a more unique puzzle game experience. Definitely recommend this game to anyone who played and loved The Room series!

Lovely, Relaxing Game
This a well-made, relaxing puzzle game. I just have to say, in response to another review, the idea that this game is sexist is so ridiculous that it’s laughable. In fact, I’m very offended by your harmful, stereotypical review. You know what I do when I don’t like a game? Move on. Crazy, right? But, that’s not a problem here, because I very much like and am enjoying this game. Seriously, this is a real gem. Bravo, developer! We need more games like this on the arcade. 👍🏻

A wonderful game with a nice attention to detail
A beautiful, artistic motif; fast, clean graphics; fun level design; and a novel level transition mechanic add to a great game. The game stands out so much that I wanted to leave a note here to point out its excellence. Combining the art deco motif and the clean joining of all the disparate elements that make up a game gives me a bit of Bioshock nostalgia. Thank you for the fantastic game, and keep up the excellent work.

So much fun!
I really enjoyed this game. I am, however, a puzzle game fan so this was right up my alley. This game is like none other that I’ve played before. It’s clever and very well designed. It has ‘pipe dream’ (a very old pc game) feel to it that brought me back to my childhood. I enjoyed it so much that I am now anxiously waiting more levels!! There are a few things I’d like to see: -a way to select a specific level that you’ve completed but not quite achieved 3 stars -maybe additional achievements/challenges such as time attack: complete as fast as you can. OR complete in x moves or less. -perhaps some incentives or rewards for 3-stars. Other than that, I cannot recommend this game enough. Especially if you enjoy a good brain tickle!

Really great game idea for a new mechanic and something helpful
Ok so I’m on level 111 and I got this game yesterday around 5 pm and it is really good I have an idea for a new mechanic where there is a piece that requires two or three beams of light to activate it and it goes out the empty end to continue the level. If all three stars are collected and you get the finishing solution it should skip right to the finish animation. EDIT: make that 161! (The current final level)

Can’t wait for more puzzles!
I was totally immersed in this fun and logical game. It overheats my iPhone 6+ but runs fine on my iPhone 12 MaxPro. It looks stunning on both. Love the game play as it is challenging yet simple! I flew through the 160 levels and am now enjoying trying to get all three stars on the levels I previously missed. Great job to the makers of this app! Please come up with more! Oh, and best of all it’s free if you have Apple Arcade. Yay!

Extremely well balanced
Most levels can be done in 2-3 tries. Many on the first. A few very challenging levels sprinkled throughout, but distributed to prevent burnout. Never feels too easy or too hard. First-try levels are (not too) frequent and immensely satisfying to nail. A lot of thought went into this game and it shows. The retro feel is well executed and a great change of pace. Superb sound design - the flicker and hum of the lights is deeply nostalgic. This is the only game I actually play with the sound on. For future improvements, maybe throw in some parallax effect on the board, maybe add some physics effects with the rotating pieces when you move the device around? My phone’s battery will forgive you.

Very Repetitive and Misleading
I totally thought this was going to be various kinds of puzzles you needed to complete to peel back layers of the box. The room indicates there would be more than one type of puzzle. In reality, you play the same puzzle, refracting light, over and over again. It’s very repetitive, not difficult, and honestly I found the story a bit sexist. It would be nice if the description actually reflected (ha) what the game actually is. Even though the graphics look nice, I would pass on this one.

Quite frankly, I’m unimpressed a bit bored
This game does nothing new. A polished looking game can only do so much when it’s a carbon copy of like 10 other games I’ve already played and quickly grown bored of before removing. It looks nice, and the pictures/story are “quirky,” but honestly it’s not worth grinding the first 50 levels to find the mildly interesting puzzles later on that still last less than 30 seconds. The story feels like the plot of a children’s cartoon, and the gameplay itself lends similarly uninteresting mechanics. The hardest puzzles only take about 15 seconds more of fiddling until the answer is obvious. One may find it harder to fill in a coloring book. Guess you really aren’t losing anything but several minutes if you decide to download and try it, but that’s about the extent of the playtime I had.
