I would give a five star, maybe I can take out .5 point or 1 point, but for now I will withdraw my reservation entirely because I have seen this app grow and address some of my earlier frustrations; for example the little mistake as you mistype numbers were a nightmare. Once you sent money to get your money back is uncertain. I remember one time, I made this mistake on an emergency money and I had to call the stranger who then asked me to part with a little bit of the same emergency money as he was in more trouble, at least to my surprise. Now the verification works, and the withdrawal is embedded on the app. I am still monitoring as I hope I to receive money from my bank or SACCO directly. I will adjust my ratings based on my expectations. So far, so good. Definitely worth a 5 star.
Safaricom has the best services and by far i have been a loyal client from very long time my issue is that its almost impossible to install mpesa app while overseas and use it .The reason its because you must you your sim card data before using wifi of which we understand it protects customers from froud. But with all this technology? There must be a way that this can be made possible .Help those of us that cant use this app while abroad . Regard
The mpesa app has made my life really easy while traveling overseas. I have an e-sim which was giving me some challenges and consuming a lot of money for a single mpesa transaction. I could not even load airtime without spending lots of money. I contacted a friend who raised my case with safaricom customer service. They swiftly helped me by advising me on how to load the mpesa app even though I was using an esim. Now I can do my mpesa transactions on wifi without paying roaming charges!
Best app to send money home. From the comfort of your phone. Please tell Safari com and all the other tel companies not to complicate telephone services for customers who like to keep a local number while abroad. We add service monthly and we don’t use the phones. The lines are registered during SIM card registration why start asking people to register again. Tell them not to mess our M-PESA app service. This app has made transactions with M-PESA very very fast and simple. I really like the feature where you get to see the names of business and people before entering any critical data. However, the app sometimes freezes and quits on its own, which is very worrying as it’s makes me feel like something is messing with my data. Secondly the balance does not update that instantly after a transaction. All in all, really great app, I’ll continue using but you have to improve those issues.
Making the most innovative mobile money app even more functional. The ease has brought this to the same level of ease as handing over cash (ease being a separate point of assessment distinct from all other obvious advantages of mobile money)…once we are empowered to pay with one click, or a double click (think Apple Pay) this thing will change the world.

For a financial app, it is extremely important to accurately track information. This app frequently drops transactions from the history. Sometimes, the app forgets all my transactions. Right now there is only one transaction showing. Where are the hundreds of other transactions I made this year alone? Thankfully, I can pull the official M-Pesa statement from Safaricom but that report does not contain the transaction categories and memos I carefully recorded in this app, which I use to help track my expenses.
Transactions have NEVER been simplified. Great job on this one! An improvement point, you could allow users to add a category of their choice on top of the available ones to make it some type of an expense tracker.
MPesa has solved my challenge with Visa cards, especially when I need to purchase things online or abroad. I really enjoy global pay and the Security related to it. I regret that I always have to be supported to operate the app since I am visually impaired, and it is inaccessible, to mean, most buttons are not labeled, so not giving me the chance to utilize it by myself without support.
I like it because it’s super convenient and efficient. Very prompt when sending airtime or money to myself or other people. I also love the international plan that I can still use it when I travel worldwide. Keep it up Safaricom!
This is a great app that not only lets you use M-Pesa in a very modern way it also allows you to explore the brands that incorporate M-Pesa and their shopping experience as well as other financial tools and products that utilize M-Pesa that you may not have known about.

There is many things you can improve on, Like Apple wallet, No need to input information for payment You just double click the homescreen with your face id and your payment is made, Atleast we get to save time and the tiredness for inputing details and everything
Mpesa app was working great until it came time for to access my Mpesa statements. the app returns statements with incomplete transactions for some users. It’s a known issue that’s been ongoing for months now and no solution or workaround has been made available for traveling /roaming users. It’s been a real pain trying to find a solution through their customer care team. they’ve been unable to help.
The app while very pretty to look at doesn't update my balance or transactions made to match the reality. I end up having the correct balance on SMS vs what the app shows me. Despite refreshing multiple times.
I just Came abroad, got new sim, i was worried about how i cloud use it or understand, the i found out about this app, i really liked and enjoyed alot. Thanks

Will recommend this App to anyone using Mpesa in the diaspora. Once you’ve activated it using your Safaricom Sim, you don’t need the Sim to transact. It is a payment manager as well.
