The way to sum this app up is it’s a work in progress. Some things it does well, some things are a complete miss. It’s ability to answer questions sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. Example, if you ask it to project your dividend totals for all the linked accounts over the next 12 months, the response is not even about dividends. I ask this question about 10 different ways and never got close to a numerical response. Other questions can be quick and correct. Hope this helps anyone thinking about this app.
This app is taking investing to a whole new level. I’ve used it to invest, as I normally would. However, when I have questions for n investing terminology or how a particular stock has trended, I can simply ask the AI on the app as if texting a friend. There are some bugs here and there, but as with any new piece of technology, the bugs are being worked out. The subscription fee is a small price to pay to become a more informed investor. While other apps provide you with the ability to take on riskier strategies like options trading, this app is directed at the long-term investor and is another great tool in my investing arsenal. Can’t wait to see what the future brings for this app.
Initially, I was enthusiastic and a heavy user of all the aspects of the app and even added it to my desktop. Now in order to access the tools and functionality that made me want buy, I have to get on my desktop to do so. My phone is updated, the app is updated; yet the AI hangs consistently even when just trying to access my portfolio.

I signed up for the free trial, as it made very clear if I didn’t want the service, to be sure to cancel before my trial ended, so I decided to give it a go. It IMMEDIATELY charged my account. So now I’ve gotta take time out of my work office to call Apple and get my money back. I linked up my accounts and honestly, it’s not really telling me anything I didn’t already know (and I don’t know much, so it’s not helpful at ALL). With it being AI and showing a spot where one can ask questions, one would think you could freely ask the questions relevant to your profiles and stock. This isn’t true. If you type in a question, it only ACTUALLY puts in an automated question for you (sometimes it’s completely irrelevant to the question you attempted to ask), then answers its automated question. I’m trying to find some use for it, to no avail. Not worth the money. I’d have known that if I had been given my promised trial.
Worth it just for the ability to link all your other investment accounts (IRAs, 401(k)s, HSAs, etc.) to your Magnifi account, and then being able to ask Magnifi key questions: am I over exposed to a sector or stock, so I have uninvested cash sitting around, how high are the fund fees I’m paying - and are there cheaper alternatives. No better way to get a good overview of your investments - and actionable ideas on how to improve them.
I have very little experience investing, and I don’t closely follow markets. Since I’m not really in that world, I sometimes don’t know who or what to ask for guidance. The chat feature on Magnifi has really helped me get my bearings and answered a lot of my specific questions with surprising accuracy. I’ve already had much more success than trying to go it alone!
I’ve used other apps for investing and after just a few minutes of use Magnify is already my favorite. The ability to search for interests, research and then invest is wonderful. I’m only getting started with the app and already love the comparison feature. Well done!
Have been using this for a bit now and have pushed the AI to its limit as far as advising. There are a few platforms that will tell you the same information but I’m very underwhelmed by the app sell of “use this bot to enhance your research and decisions” this bot is as helpful as a basic customer support bot on a website that offers pre programmed articles. I will continue to use chat and plug ins to do this research as it is more comprehensive answers than this app gives.
Needed to figure out what to do with some money I got after my grandpa passed. I was able to put together a portfolio pretty easy here. Didn’t take much time at all and gave me the info I needed to pick some funds that made sense for me. All in all solid, would recommend.
I wish it was compatible with Principal Financial. I wish it would give me a breakdown of my portfolio distributing the index fund into actual holdings but it only does this for individual stocks
After reading articles I was persuaded to purchase the app. However after trying for a week unsuccesfully to load my TRowe Price account I canceled my subscription. It kept saying, “try again later.” What’s the use of having the program analyze my investments if one-third of my investments are not included. Maybe after the bugs are worked out I’ll try again.
My favorite feature is chatting with the AI and the recommended portfolio insights. I’ve had the app for a few months now and the AI gets better weekly. Can’t wait to see where this technology eventually gets to!
It’s really nice to see all my investing accounts in one central location. Plus you can get automatic insights on all your investments- I didn’t know just how much of my portfolio was in payment processing stocks until I set up the integration.
Strong performance for giving insight into portfolio
Downloaded for the promoted AI functionality and think that works great. But the feature that has me coming back is linking my investment portfolios from other platforms into Magnifi and having the AI tool give me insight and advice!
The interface is slick and easy to use. Love the conversation section where you can ask the AI questions and get some really cool results. I was quickly able to get useful summary stats on sector and single stock performance.
I’m starting my journey in the world of investing and didn’t really know where to start. Magnifi was actually really helpful to get me started with my first few investments. Now I’m starting to do more research with it and it’s pretty fun. Highly recommend

I love how simple and easy this app makes researching stocks with their AI assistant. I was able to link my existing investment accounts too and get some useful insights into my portfolio as a whole. Highly recommend!
The linked account feature connects to all my accounts and then Magnifi gives me news on everything I own + the ai helps me with portfolio strategy because it can see eveyrthing!
For this investment app featuring AI, I found it to have intriguing features. However, the data it provides lacks reliability. Moreover, the app relies heavily on custom logic for predefined questions, which diminishes its AI semblance. It frequently fails to maintain context between questions and often doesn't provide answers. Interacting with it proves challenging, and extracting its value necessitates knowledge of specific questions.
I like the fact that this app helps me make informed decisions. I can ask questions to learn about trends and metrics about a stock and do my research before I make the decision to buy or sell. I highly recommend this app.
I found Magnifi to be extremely effective in gathering relevant information to make informed investment decisions. I was looking at housing/home builder ETFs and I was able to instantly compare XHB ITB and PKB etfs based on fundamentals and then access each of their charts in seconds.
This is the future of investing. This app is far more powerful than any self-directed investing app I’ve ever used. What this company is doing is truly fascinating. They are building the future of the investing experience.
Easily buy ETFs and also link other brokerage / retirement accounts for an investment dashboard with a really nice interface AI assistant is fun to play with and like all of those tools, gets more robust the more you use it
My favorite feature is linking all my investment accounts to get insights in one place. Like performance, risk, asset allocation and more. And every week they role out cool new features. This is a must have app for investors!
Love this app on the iPhone. 5 stars! A shame that on iPad it’s only a tiny phone size window in the middle of a big screen. What a wasted opportunity to make the iPhone app even better by using the extra space. 1 star! It would average to 3 stars, but we’ll take one more off for lazy, disappointing dumbness. 2 stars!
I hadn’t seen this before, I was able to link my Robinhood and ETrade accounts to Magnifi. The AI was able to analyze my stocks/funds across brokerages which was pretty cool.
Dumbest app ever. Seriously. Like I don’t know what value this provides at all. I can get the same information (AI or not) from my financial institution apps. What I was expecting was something a little more automated when it comes to advice. Don’t make me fish for it… but then when I do, at least give me insight that is actual insight.
I didn’t know what to invest in. The app took my personal finances and goals into account and guided me towards making my first investments. It’s been really helpful.

High-earner with a net wealth in excess of $5M. I have 26 accounts I need to pair with this app to really make use of its features. On the first day, I can only get 4 accounts to link successfully, and all of the various screens read: there is a temporary issue loading your data. Please close the app and restart. So, unfortunately, the app doesn’t work. 1. Nobody should be expected to invest this much effort into leveraging AI to manage their assets. My time is money and this app is wasting it 2. The AI isn’t good. You’ll get the same responses using Google’s search engine. 3. There is no value proposition for the weekly/annual fee they’re asking for
DO NOT PAY FOR IT! The app is pretty useless and has no real value from all of my experience. I tried the free trial and then forgot to cancel. I reached out after I was charged and they told me they would refund the transaction. It’s three months and 10 emails later and they are now ignoring me after they said they would refund the charge.
There are better investing apps that you can get i do not recommend this one at alllll. the Ai is very limited, also the subscription is a rip off at $14 a month just to start investing which you can do for free. what they are promising is that the AI will help you so much with investing that it makes up for the $14 charge P.S. it’s really not worth it dog get Webull instead
This app is absolutely dreadful. The website is just as bad. The AI seems to have pre-programmed answers. Every other AI I’ve used is much more advanced. It can’t even build me a proper portfolio. Thank god google is a thing. Don’t waste your time with this app. Go use M1. Update: WOW now I can’t even withdraw my money! This app AND website are both jokes.
This app offers automatic connection to portfolio unknown from only a handful of companies. If you’re not invested with one of their five favorites, you have to enter all your stocks bonds and CDs by hand, which is an incredible PITA. I quit my subscription as soon as I figured this out. Good initiative but not enough data to show using which I can make decisions to buy or sell stocks. The AI chat does not provide info about last 5 years revenue, earnings, eps etc. Even it doesn’t have details about future projections about revenue, earnings etc.
It lacks context tracking. Does not provide any analysis information. Does not allow me to create a virtual portfolio but only asks me to link my brokerage account. I dont understand whats the AI part of it!! It doesnot create charts/Trends even if i ask in simple terms.
