When I moved from Kansas to Iowa, I decided to keep my Mainstreet CU accounts open because I have so many automatic payments set up on my Mastercard debit. I worried, however, that I may have difficulty banking from another state, when I couldn’t just drop by the service counter for help. This app makes it possible. I can transfer between savings and checking, make deposits using just my phone camera and checks, and quickly see what my balance and latest transactions are.
My wife used to rag on how outdated the old app looked and felt to use. The new one brought the app into the modern world. Hopefully they continue to support the growth of this app.
I should have the option if I want to upgrade on anything I own. I do not like the set up at all. But it makes no sense to me that I was not given the option to keep what I had. Just like a phone, car, housing or whatever... I do not have to upgrade if I like something, but Mainstreet forces you to switch applications. Why not give the option, it makes no sense... and I get that you have to change with times but not to let me upgrade on my terms like any other application. I don’t get it and 100% don’t like it.
No matter how many times I submit my proper information the app says something is wrong with it and to try again later. The app has been bugging for the past week and I haven’t been able to access my information all because there is something wrong with the app itself.
5/6/24 I opened the app to be greeted with an iOS message saying that the app wants the ability to find and connect to local devices on my network. …why? Why would this app ever need that functionality for any reason?
The transfers don’t show up instant like the used too. I hate this new app. Over drafted my account bc it doesn’t let you know you have to wait 5 min for money to show now. Bring the old one back!!!
Let us use the old app again, instead of just blocking any use with a pop up. If you got hacked just say that before you get sued for a failure to disclose a data leak pertaining to our financial records, if not just let us use the old app.
For someone whose been charged well over 1000 dollars in overdraft fees and I pay it all back and pay the 27.50 overdraft fee everytime, you would think I could qualify for a credit card but instead I’m denied and still expected to pay the fees for when I need the cash. Bank of America is better than this I’ve just been with mainstreet for over 15 years so I try to be loyal and thought it would be the best bank especially because it’s a credit union. Looking for alternate bank that will work with me after being loyal gor so many years. It’s upsetting!!!!
