App is functional and rather straight forward. More than I can say for the actual website which is absolutely useless. To make unscheduled payments I HAVE to use the app. The website doesn’t have this functionality somehow. App still doesn’t have Face ID though.
This iPhone app is the best I’ve ever used and I’ve got an app for everything so that says a lot. They really set this one up nice, making it so easy to navigate and find what you’re looking for whether it’s to add a card or bank account, check your balance or next payment due date or take it off of automatic payment and put it back on at a later date. The interface is well spaced so you can easily see everything. I am a co-signer on this loan for my son and I’ve co-signed for him on a loan with a different company and have no access within the app as the co-signer, however they don’t mind taking the money from my account every two weeks! This app gives me the same access as my son has. That’s the way it should be. In addition, the app performs flawlessly. I’ve never encountered an error and the Face ID even works if you are laying down! I don’t usually write reviews because most apps are acceptable or less than, but I just had to give them props where props are due. This one is a gem! P.S. We are extremely pleased with the ease of the loan process as well and their customer service is top-notch!
In terms of personal loans: As long as you understand that financial loans are going to come with a high & burdensome Interest rate which of course will set you back substantially in the long haul- then mariner finance is legit for those purposes, in that they exceed expectations by funding quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, the branch representatives are professional, knowledgeable, and truly care enough to make you feel like you’re in the rite place. The app is a little bit quirky and feels like it was created through a free website hosting platform like wix but it works. Just has some bugs and randomly closes you out form time to time. Call the branch! Easier and faster anyways.
As an owner of a small business, my customers are very often looking for financing and I have no interest in dealing with the multiple loans that would occur. I looked into several options and Mariner was easily the best decision. I’ve used them for over a year now and every customer has expressed to me how easy it was to apply and sign the contract once we agreed upon terms. They also make it easy on my end to see which customer’s are approved, for what amount, and where we are in the process. All around the best financial lender for any business looking to offer financing to their customers!
The staff should be a little more understanding when hardships happen . I tried to pay my bill early when I had the funds and was told that because I was on auto draft that even if I went ahead and made the payment that another would still come out on my auto draft day. Due to unforeseen circumstances( losing my job ) I needed to wait to pay it 3 weeks late. I was told they d do what they d have to do if the payment wasn’t made on August 31st . I made the payment this morning ( September 1st) as soon as my first check from my new job came in. Now we are going to go without groceries yet again . All because of the unwillingness of the staff to be understanding and to work with people who really just need a little more time .
They tell you on the phone that you are approved.. but the online process is currently down so you have to come in person.. An hours drive later they sit you in a small room with the door closed for 30 mins before talking to you..then offer you a bigger loan that you didn’t want… Once you turn that down they tell you that this small loan isn’t a signature loan.. and want a list of your personal property… I listed a vehicle but since it wasn’t there for them to see they wanted more items to list.. Tv computer system game system lawnmower all equaling far greater value than the small loan I applied for..all items are listed so that they can take possessions of in case you are late… i don’t think so… keep your money I don’t need it that bad
The app is easy to navigate. Mission accomplished with no hiccups. The easy way of getting money today is great. The only hiccup there is the high interest rate. I do hope that as my balance decreases, Mariner could offer an incentive such as a credit for early payoff. I remember reading, when I initiated this loan, that regardless to how early the balance is submitted, we still have to pay the interest according to the term of length the loan was started. An adjustment to that factor would increase loan renewals with Mariner.
I needed a loan quick for a new HVAC, and you approved me within minutes! I thank you for being a lifesaver! The only thing i didnt like was the insanely high interest rate. But , im allowed to pay off early (which i did) without penalizing my credit score! I hate adding apps to my phone - most apps are not worth bothering with. Mariner’s app, however, makes it much easier and faster to manage my account — whether I’m making a payment, checking my balance or credit score. You can even check to see what offers of credit are available to you — whether you’re shopping for credit or just curious.
I find the app easy to use in varied ways. With the app you can check the status of your loan and see exactly how much is applied to the principal and interest and know your balance at a glance. You can check for loan offers and apply if you need. I also like that you can check your credit rating anytime you like. I find the entire app easy to use and most helpful. Well done
Applied for a loan, after the hard credit pull I got approved. Last step in getting a loan is to get in touch with the local branch. I called over 20 times (it’s been 25 days now) and each time the same thing…. Wait on hold and after holding for exactly 40 minutes call drops off to the voicemail…. Left the voicemail- no one calls back, called the head office: they emailed the branch twice to call me- no one calls back. Anyway now I have a hard credit pull on my record for absolutely no reason and a lot of frustration. Ft Lauderdale branch please get your things in order.
I was totally amazed when I received my check through the mail without requesting for it. My payments are within my budget since I am on a fixed income. The representative that calls periodically are very pleasant asking do I need additional funds. I know if I ever do need additional funds I will definitely go to this institution. I got a loan with this company 3 yrs ago and iam almost paid off however when I had a hardship I contacted mariner finance to see if I could get another loan to help with moving expenses I was denied which was disappointing and if you need a loan for 500 dollars you need collateral once I finish paying off my loan I will not use mariner finance again in the future and will have them to remove me from their marketing mail list so I won’t receive any mail about me “being” approved for another loan I also will not refer any one again like I did in the past
Every time I use it. A good sign of a good app. I’ve had no problems. Easy to pay. Easy to look at your whole account history. Loving that making extra payments shows I’m paying a much lower interest and paying more to the principal. This has been a great way to borrow a little for my daughter’s wedding.
I deleted the app and then installed it again. It got me to the payment page and after i made a payment, it just said please wait then it crashed. I don’t even know if it even went through cause i never made it to the confirmation part. Tried logging in again and it never got a chance to make it back on the Home Screen. It just said error. Tried to go straight to the website, no luck their either.
This app and company helped me out when I was next to broke! I’ve made all my payments and they have never hassled me about anything. They are helping me build my credit without jumping through a million hoops. The interest rates aren’t bad if you pay your loan off ahead of time. I’m very pleased and would recommend to anybody.
This app is so easy to use even a older customer can use it. Not age shaming at all but I find simpler is better. It shows what you owe, what’s due, the payment and the final balance after payment. All the things that are needed to know. Any other info can be relayed through your local office!
The staff at the Pensacola Florida branch are amazing people. They are wonderful and caring and will go above and beyond to help you. I really have a lot of respect for Mr Joseph who helped me through my loan process. He seemed very understanding and caring about the situation and had going on at the time of trying to renew my loan. My overall experience at this branch has been very good
Y’all should be really freaking sad with yourselves with charging people those ridiculous interest rates!!! Bad enough everything is so expensive and y’all help no one with those outrageous fees!! Can’t wait to pay this loan off and rest assure I will not refer this junk to anyone! I’ve been stuck at same amount for ever. I’m sure that’s why y’all don’t give reminders so y’all can collect extra money and hurt the individuals who do business with y’all. Republic Finance is 10 times better than this crap company!!
I sometimes have difficulty logging in and navigating the mariner finance website, and, I have found that the phone app is much more simple - and fast! - to use! Now I don’t have to wait to get to my computer to pay my bill or to check my account!
The app is cool but one issue makes the whole app trash. My login email is incorrect and it won’t let me change it. I called the local branch and customer service. They told me to delete the app and reinstall it, okay I did and changed the email but nothing has updated on their end. Don’t know how and why they got my email incorrect on top of it being an email that’s not a deliverable address. So with this issue I don’t get emails, and have to wait til they decide to fix their software.
My experience with the app was good but not great meaning your app or with in the app will not let its screen turn horizontal it is just stuck in a vertical position I have an iPad and my screen is always used in a horizontal position but over all, like I said it is a good app.
Always having issues with this app were I have to revert to going back to their website and making sure my payment went through. Tried making a payment through app only to find out it did go through and had to check website and call a rep to make sure payment was made. App also would not let me log in after making a payment. Please fix. Until then I have to make payments through website or call rep.
I have used a lot of apps and this one does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Whoever designed this app did a great job. As far as the finance company goes, I would recommend it to anyone with the need to borrow money for any reason. They have been real good to me and I’m sure they treat everyone with courtesy and respect.
I have tried with other places for loans wish they had been as simple as your all on line application I wish I had come to you all sooner I don’t think there is anything you need to change for me it was 100% perfect
They are great people been with them for a few years and they have always helped us anyway they could very great company to do business with. Ya don’t have to take my word for them and there company go do business with them and see for yourself there great people .
Merly Rosario was awesome! She explained everything very well and offered me the Home and Auto protection which came in very handy at this time that I needed to get a rental because I had just had a car accident and need to get my car repaired. The loan process was stress free and was approved and paid quick.
I live working with Mariner the service is always friendly and they see as a person and not just a number. I highly recommend them if you have a need they will do everything possible to get you the help you need.
I love that I can utilize my default payment option quickly just by selecting the center icon at the bottom of screen after the initial set up. This will make my next payments so much quicker 😃
It’s my first time using this App. It’s pretty easy to use and save time. Especially for me, am always on the go. I use to go to the Office to make my payment..Because of this wonderful App I can now make my payments etc. Check it out!!
I’ve always been able to log into my Mariner account but for some strange reason this morning, I’m having issues. I put in my correct email & password then tap the sign in tab & this banner comes across the bottom of the screen that says “Cancelled”. This has happened after several attempts to sign in.
Wow! This app is awesome! You guys were overdue for an app and y’all nailed it. Everything that I would need to do on my account is here on the app. It is so much more convenient and now I can log onto my account more often than I would have before. Great job 👏🏾
The mobile app was so easy to download and set up. I’m an older lady who doesn’t know that much about these kind of things. I was able to get the app and pay my bill in less than 5 minutes. I love it !!!!
