Hi, your mobile banking is improving but is still not as good as good as Wells Fargo. That being said I would much rather bank with Montecito Bank than Wells Fargo. The mobile deposit camera is sluggish at times, often taking me 4 or 5 attempts at snapping the photo before it actually takes the photo, and I wish I had some deposit number or verification that I could write on the check or take a photo of that verifies that particular check deposit, not just that I made a deposit. All in all, I’m learning how to negotiate the App and it has been working fine (deposits going in, bill pay working great, etc) It’s just a bit awkward to use. I’ve been very pleased with Montecito Bank and Trust in general however. I appreciate the helpful tellers and bankers, and I feel good banking with a privately owned company. This new version does not even show balances between transactions. Poor design. Did not keep messages and answers from previous conversations. Old version just stopped working... no even a warning to alert you about the need to erase and download the upgrade. Nothing. You need to download another app to control your credit cards functionality. Why? With no other option for this bank, there is nothing to do but just sigh.
This app is good with managing my accounts and to transfer funds between them. The app frequently sends authorization codes to ensure it is me using the app. I also like the email feature for it stores communication I can reference.
To start with, I wasn’t given notice of any upcoming changes or updates to the app. The previous app was ok, but not as good as the one before that and this new one is the worst of the three. I had to make a special trip across town to the bank to figure out why my account was locked, your customer service line was out of order and completely useless. The new app is awful, everything has to be done from a second page. Either Montecito Bank is trying to sell data or show off someone’s cell phone pic of a fishing pier, not really sure. As soon as the checks I have out clear, I’ll likely close my accounts over this, it cost me at least an hour.
Nice to finally be able to do check deposits on business accounts, however, when doing multiple deposits one after another, the camera trigger doesn’t always work. Have to reset deposit several times to get the trigger to activate again. Rather frustrating when depositing several sequential checks . Running on new IPhone 12 Max pro with current IOS. Need to fix this. It is a real issue...
Very pleased with the ease of working with Montecito Bank. I use the mobile app primarily and don’t go to the branch often but when my wife and I do go in Maria Torres-Brown is always friendly and helpful. Still a true community bank.
First the new look visually seems more outdated than the previous version. Also trying to mobile deposit a check is near impossible and extremely frustrating. The previous version never gave me issues. I’ve opened with a new bank just to have this feature work when I’m out of town. Great people when I visit a branch and is the reason I’d stay but PLEASE fix that for us who need it.
Every time I attempt a money transfer from one account to another, it fails. I have to attempt many times and end up having to use the desktop version. Please fix this!! Super annoying..
On mobile devices (latest ios, horizontal on ipad, iphone) the app looks all wonky and is basically non responsive to the orientation of the device and does not automatically fill in login and password. No benefit over webversion login.
I’ve spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out how to transfer money from my MB&T account to my friend’s. It’s impossible. MB&T instructions don’t help because the icons they say are there are not.
Whenever I want to transfer, send a wire, and select among several company accounts from a drop down, no company names are shown. Just account numbers and balances. Really inconvenient and I don’t see what the upside was.
It is confusing. Each time I visit the format has changed. The screen doesn’t enlarge and it is difficult to read statements. i am ready to change banks.
