Logging into the new website and app was quick and easy. I followed the directions as outlined in the letter they sent several weeks ago and voilà! Loving the new look and feel.
Why did they need to do this? The old one was fine. Somebody must have needed to justify their job by coming up with the new app idea. My complaints are the same as others about format not fitting screen , having to do multiple steps to pay bills where before it was seemless and now a couple of my bills need over a week to schedule when before I only needed 2 days to schedule on time. Also, I had a problem with mobile deposit and it took a week and 3 calls before they told me it was straightened out (we’ll see next time I make a deposit), they told me they would call and confirm when problem was resolved. Nope! No call , I have to call back and go through the verification hassle twice. I’m convinced that the only reason they did this was that they’re gonna be saving money on their end somehow. Why else mess up a functional app??
January 2024 was the last time I was able to process checks without issue with Meriwest Mobile Deposit. Starting February some checks, when scanned, return an error message. Since then I have spent countless hours on the phone with support, memorized the hold melody, and can recite the hold message by heart, and yet all the support was able to provide is an advice to go to the branch to process these checks.
Newest update removes the ability to check your account balance from the app which is the ONLY reason I have it downloaded. You have to log into the app, then go to the website, log in through there, verify your identity over the phone, THEN you can see how much money you have in the account. App is completely useless now, will be deleting and likely leaving Meriwest soon to a company caught up in the 21st century.
A bit of added functionality in the new app but also cluttered. Account History visual hierarchy is a mess. Difficult to scan and parse at-a-glance. “Open New” shouldn’t take prime nav bar real estate. How often do you open new accounts/loans? Move it inside the More menu. Overall I miss the readability of the old app and the easy “Transfer” between internal accounts vs. the mess that is “Move Money”. Also would prefer “Deposit” to “Check Deposit” but whatever. The ability to send secure messages from within the app is a nice touch though.
I enjoy this app, because anything you need to do at the bank. You could do it on this application and for that I am very grateful because I am always on the move.
This was an absolutely awful update that made the app even harder to use. They also dropped all our reoccurring payments that were set up so I had to figure out how to set it up again. Then account validation was broken so I couldn’t get it set up. Customer service was a pain. I’m so over this company. I’ll be taking my business to a company who cares about the customer experience.
Very nice people, but it doesn't make up for the fact that the technology is trapped in the 80s. It's literally impossible to do anything here and their solution is you should drive to the bank and do it in person. Even if in my case, the primary on the account lives 3000 miles away in Florida. run, don't walk, to another bank.
The new app doesn’t format properly on my iPhone so tried from my laptop. Have to take an extra step to chose which account to pay from. When you go to click on that drop down menu, it takes me back to the top of the page. Hope they get the glitches out soon.
There's no longer any reason to use this app. If it wasn't <50mb I'd uninstall it outright. New app removed key useful features such as Quick Balance, and is fraught with bugs making logging in less convenient than using a conventional web brpwser to view my online banking. Disappointing.
Absolutely horrible “upgrade” User experience is way worse than the old app. Looks awful. And lost all my billpay accounts. And have to redo everything and it wont work. Takes 5 min for each just to get a failure response.
After going thru the sign in process, Meriwest says it must verify the account via phone. On the automated call, they ask you to press one to verify the account. I press 1 and nothing happens then they hang up. I cannot access my account and the help line cannot help.
If you are going unleash something as new and improved at least make sure it in the least does what its predecessor does! Buggy as heck and still cannot use it.
So they ask for my PW I give it to them. I have checked and re checked it’s the right one I’ve been using for months now. Nope, locked me out. Now on hold for about just over an hour now. WHAT A DISASTER!!!
Started adding Zogo advertisements in the Meriwest app. no option to disable advertisements or even acknowledge and move on. If this is needed, send it out in the monthly statements or emails, but not in the app. My two cents.
2/2023 new app overhaul is a mess. Viewing transactions 85% of screen is a bunch of letters and numbers that are of no use to a customer. No one could utilize such a long string of digits so why display it at all? Come up with an abbreviated reference or hide it completely. I miss the previous design. It felt useful, I mean I never thought "this is a mess" I don't remember it except I wasn't bothered by it. This new design is functionally inferior. That was my immediate reaction.
The Meriwest Mobile Banking app allows Meriwest members the ability to log into their online banking account and securely access their account information to view account activity, check balances, transfer funds, pay bills, track expenses, make mobile deposits, and more.
