Minted: The Address Book

Minted makes a nice product. I’m very happy with my cards. However the envelope designs won’t always make room for the entire title of the person you send to. Also they duplicated envelopes even after I went through and corrected. It’s also quite difficult to upload your image in the first place. After all the hassle you get a good result but you still have to do a lot of work checking for errors. I hope they will take this review seriously and make improvements. If uploading images were more intuitive and addresses always fit they would be 5 star .

I absolutely love Minted! The cards are absolutely stunning, we are pleased with our Christmas cards year after year! We first started using Minted when we needed to send out holiday cards and loved all the cards we received from neighbors by Minted. We have cut the costs of our cards by buying an address stamp, for our return address. The addressing is an absolutely amazing feature, it cuts the hastle of having to hand address, and it's completely FREE. I love the mobile app, it makes it super easy to update addresses. It is much more user friendly than having to log in on a computer every time. The mobile app is so fresh looking, it's very modern and sleek. That being said I wish that you could add whose cards you've sent and received, year after year. I have a separate app for that, and it gets tedious and confusing having to toggle between both apps to keep the addresses updated. I wish I had one app that I could add all that information into. If that feature was added, I think it would make Minted absolutely stellar, and the best Christmas card maker and organizer! Thank you.

I downloaded this app because I needed an easy way to upload my list of contacts from my iphone that I had made. There is not a lot of thought put into the user experience here. When importing from phone you can’t import a specific list you’ve made, you have to go through ALL contacts. If it notices the same name twice it automatically selects them both. Later it shows you your “duplicates” (which were automatically made by the app) and the process is flawed that you can only “IGNORE” , “MERGE” or “SKIP”, though the question it prompts you with is “which address and household name would you like to keep?” There’s no way to just pick one. I hope this feedback makes sense. Minted has been around so long and is solely online so I expected a much better experience.

If you ”sign in with Facebook” on the Minted website, this app becomes useless. To use this app you must have a login and password, but your Facebook login and password don’t work. There is no option to reset your password on the Minted website unless you first know the original password - which, of course, you don’t know because it’s not your Facebook password. I had high hopes for this app to scan all my addresses that were typed into a Word label-formatted document, but unfortunately had to spend over an hour copy-pasting them all into an Excel spreadsheet instead since this app wouldn’t allow me to connect to my Minted account, which already contained my created Christmas cards that I didn’t want to recreate if I made a new account :/ Developers - please add the “login with Facebook” option on this app!!

I’ve been a user of Minted for a few years now and the addition of the address book app is great! Only major flaw is that apartments/suites don’t show up unless you click to edit an address. I almost sent something today without an apartment number on it because it wasn’t down when I pulled up their address in the app. Thankfully, I double checked before I dropped the card in the mail. It’s something SUPER basic that should be in an “address book” app.

There are tons of card and stationary services and companies out there! None of them compare to minted. I so desperately wanted to have an app where I can keep all my addresses. There are other apps like it but they are difficult to use. The best part is if I order from Minted Cards I don’t have to worry about getting them shipped and filling out addresses. It works automagically! I never have to get hand cramps ever again! I love sending cards so minted makes it easy! Happy customer and would happily recommend over all of its competitors!

Originally downloaded this app to keep up with everyone’s addresses after getting engaged, for save the dates, invitations, etc. For the first few days it worked great. Recently it logs me out each time I use it, I open the app and nothing comes up, or I type in all the information for someone and it wont let me save it so I have to start all over. It also will open, crash completely, and continue to do this over and over. A lot of work needs to go into the bugs and issues with this app. Not impressed. As much as I don’t want to have to transfer everything I’ve already put into this app, I am definitely going to find another one. It’s more of an inconvenience than helpful.

I really thought that this was going to do more than just store birthdays and addresses. My iPhone address app already does that. There is no print feature to print out a list of contacts you input. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is for the picture feature of entering contacts. There was a learning curve on how to get it to focus and read the addresses and names clearly but it worked. It does not read fancy handwriting from some people’s address labels. Please make a print option and/or work with someone who can make it into address labels. Lot’s of room for improvement. -waiting

This is my second year using Minted and the first year I am using the app. Makes changing the addresses and adding or subtracting names so easy as updates come in. It’s a bit more expensive than I’d like but takes a lot of stress out of the holiday season. Last year there was a glitch on the envelope and they redid the order and sent it out immediately. Their service and quality of cards is excellent.

I am in love with the look and style of this app. It’s a great address book for my phone and easy to update addresses or household members. The only flaw is that apartment numbers aren’t shown in the address when I pull up a contact and isn’t included when I copy the address. I have to go into the edit option of the contact in order to see the apartment number.

I used Minted and LOVED IT!! However the last week I can’t get it to open. I use that for my business contacts and keep my personal stuff separate. I cannot access the app anymore. I click to open the app and it just brings me to the pretty picture that says minted but never opens the app to my contacts. This is really frustrating. I spent so much time adding them in there and now I can’t access addresses. Please fix without me having to reload everyone again.

I installed the app when saw a Apple App logo with statement saying you can download contacts in the app. No such feature. I get minted wants to keep you using their products and maintain addresses in their database. Not a user friendly or realistic expectation with today’s tech. I have a graduation coming up and need to share guest list, list for announcement recipients, save the dates etc etc with grad and Dad. Was going to use minted holiday card address list as base but I guess I have to go elsewhere. Grad and Dad do not need minted for anything so please do not suggest I ask them do sign up only to view a list of names

But, I will say, I can easily add contacts for wedding invitations and import so easily. From a picture of the written address, contacts in your phone, or requests to contacts. You can even import a freakin excel spreadsheet! Plus adding family/household members?! Yes. Then they’re printed on my envelopes?! Yes. Saving my hand, knuckles, elbow, and wrist from being swollen and hurting due to MS?! Yes. 10/10 from this procrastinating bride.

I have had almost nothing but issues getting this app to actually work. None of my info or addresses display and it doesn’t update in real time as you add contacts, there seems to be a lag. So then I’m not sure if I added them or not. The process was a pain and I wish I had just done the spreadsheet. I thought the app would just be easier since we planned on ordering our thank you cards from Minted (since we did love our invites) but this is getting ridiculous.

I enjoy that my contacts are in one place safe from being scrambled on my iPhone. Still I’ve had issues with bugs in the minted program at times, especially when plugging in anniversaries and bdays. I also wish you could set up birthday/anniversary alerts rather than having to use another app for that. The whole point is to then turn around and send the person a card.

I used minted every year to design my holiday card, and it’s always been so painful to move contacts from my phone to their website. Now with their new app, I can easily import my contacts / addresses. So excited they’ve made this process easier. Also see I can scan envelopes....can’t wait to try this out as I receive cards this holiday season.

I’m not very good with creating address lists to import so I found this app amazing. It allows you to snap a photo of a hand or typewritten address and create that list. It’s also easy to edit and add names manually or otherwise. I LOVE this app. It has saved me HOURS of work creating and updating my annual card list by using it! Thank you, MINTED.

I like the aesthetic of the app and it’s super easy to use. Two things that would make is EXPONENTIALLY better: 1) Make your address book exportable and/or printable 2) Have categories for easy filtering/sorting; my Christmas card list isn’t the same people I’d send a birthday party invite too, just wish I could sort to only see the addresses I need.

What is the point of this app? It imported all of my addresses from my wedding invitations, but when I went to my occasions, it’s completely empty, even though I did all of my wedding invites and RSVPs through the minted website. Is the purpose just to keep my addresses in case I need to hand write them? And log occasions myself? I really don’t need a duplicate location for that. But checking RSVPs on an app when the mobile interface is a little clunky (as mobile websites kind of have to be) would have been nice!

I LOVE THE APP!! it’s so beautiful and helpful! the only thing is i wish i could “share” my address book so that my boyfriend could see and use it too. it would make it so much easier for our life together to have access to all of our contacts in one place.

I won’t stop using this app but jeez every time I open this app, it says that I have no contacts and gives me a “+” sign to add a contact but it’s actually just loading my contacts. Haha gives me a heart attack every time but still love it

Love! This app makes it easy to add addresses via pic or sending a text with a link. Then when mailing letters I can select all contacts or select a few. Makes sending holiday cards and announcements so easy! And the end really is beautiful!

I love this. Used it for doing wedding invites and Christmas cards this year. Really easy to add/update addresses and pick and choose who to send cards too. Wish the data box does names could hold more characters. Had a couple contacts that I had to shorten names for.

Kudos to Minted for a genius app. This year I no longer have to keep a stack of sad ripped envelopes on my desk, waiting for the fateful day in January when I finally drag myself into updating my address book... the photo scanner is really easy to use and recognized the return addresses with no issues. Truly a lifesaver for this busy mom 👏

Great app that cuts my work in half. Planning a wedding is already a lot of work, so having this app has been a huge help. Are you simply send all my friends over and they can put their contact info so I don’t have to!

This has been a time saver during the holidays! Great app to keep my addresses in order. One thing I having trouble with is sharing my contacts with my family members. They are also members. It would be great if there was a way we could just swap our contacts.

Wish there was a share feature To send contacts to other people

App has one flaw, you can’t change your name of your personal address that would be shared to your friends and family! Instead of “last name family” it is automatically registered of just “ first and last name” of the account name on file! Not helpful during holiday season and want to share family address.

I can’t correctly scan addresses manually. There’s a glitch it just moves the address into the contact field…please also link emails manually to my address when inviting contacts. I also would also like a drop down field option to add contacts from an excel spreadsheet

I love this app! I’ve been missing an address book for a while and to have it on my phone means it’s accessible at all times! It’s very user-friendly and I love that I now have all my addresses in one place.

It is so easy to store and update my addresses! Makes it easy for Christmas card time. The scanning option and “ask for update” features are really helpful too.

This app is fantastic! Makes adding and editing addresses super easy and transfers to the website so when you order cards it is already updated! Two thumbs up!

I cannot login using my Minted login info, despite being able to logon to the website. I tried searching FAQ about whether or not it's a bug, but I can't seem to find it. I've always had issues with the address assistant on their website. (As well as their customer service) it's too bad that the products are beautiful but the execution always seems to miss the mark.

I recently downloaded the minted app after my Aunt referred it! I have been using it to create my address book & order wedding invitations for both my shower & ceremony! I love all of the features as well as the aesthetics! 🤍

The only thing you can do on it is the address list. The most important thing it could do, which it doesn’t do, is to download pictures from your phone to the Christmas card that you are designing. That would make the arduous download of pictures to their website so much easier.

I love that I have a nice place to organize all my family and friends addresses and can easily update at any time.

I've used Minted as my address book for years and it is so convenient to have the addresses in an app. I'm rather loyal anyway, but they have me hooked forever with this.

I LOVE the Minted App! No more manually writing out addresses or even gathering them every year. No keeping a spreadsheet! I just choose my card each year and the rest is done for me!

Instead of occasions, I would let us make “lists”. It would be easier to send different types of cards if we could organize different groups of people. I.e…”Holiday List, Business holiday card, birthday invitations.” And then be able to add to those lists every year. Minted is where lots of people store their address contacts, so more organization tools would be helpful.

I have a long list of contacts and it’s so hard to keep up with address changes. This app saved me SO much time while sending holiday cards and the envelope scanning feature was fun to use too!

I deleted this app very quickly when I realized you can’t edit anything! Even your own profile name is not editable. I wanted to add my fiancé as a user in the account so we could both add addresses for our wedding invite… but there’s no way to do this. You also cannot edit an address once it’s put in. That’s basic CRUD functions that should exist in every app

Have been using Minted for all kids of stationary for over 10 years and am always happy with the customer service and project quality. Thank you Minted for the awesome work!!!

The app is easy to use which is great! It makes wedding planning stress free and keeps me organized. I think it could do more though! It would be nice to keep track of RSVPs on my pogo w or edit the website.

So far so good! Love being able to save addresses to my phone without having them in notes. Organizes them too so easy to search and filter

The app was consistently crashing as I was entering the address, so I left a bad review. Minted reached out within the same week and told me there was a new update coming out. Love the app and the customer service! Super accommodating!

I love the Minted app. Can take a picture of an address or enter manually. Keeps track of all of the people to whom I want to send holiday cards or invitations.

This app makes it so convenient to get addresses when I’m not at home with my actual book! It’s layout is so perfect and beautiful. It’s so easy to use too!

Had an account before but deleted it. Now trying to create a new account and it keeps giving me a vague error message. The last time I had an account it was very glitchy and wouldn’t let me add contacts. I went through my entire contacts in my phone to add and then when clicked “Add” it did absolutely nothing. Great concept, terrible app.

The mobile layout of this app causes the submit button to disappear. A bit frustrating having to follow up on those who thought they completed the form but never submitted

I use minted for our annual holiday card and was looking forward to using this app this year. However, it’s nearly impossible to update addresses. It crashes anytime I try to edit an address. It would also be nice to be able to scan to update but that doesn’t seem to be possible.
