I was expecting an app like this to be one where you had to pay a bunch or have a subscription to use it properly, but that was not the case. It is free. I was expecting this app to be difficult to figure out but Music Speed has a very easy interface to understand and other good features making it very good for editing music or sound. I am using this app for playing sound over my old silent 8mm films, as playing the audio from the cartoon or film on a different device itself is far too fast. This app allowed me to slow it down and was very easy to figure out. I like how it is easy to input mp3 files, as I am not needing to use Apple Music you can also share and export for free as well which is quick and helpful to create music for your own videos. The interface is very easy to understand and I like the touch of customization Music Speed has to offer as well. It almost feels like an app made by Apple! Would definitely recommend this above the other apps I have tried.
I am a marching band designer and choreographer. This has been my favorite application to run parts of the show at a slower tempo while the kids are still learning. Since I work with musical pieces that are rather long, I wish there was a way to place in markers into the music so that you can easily get to a specific area in the track without scrolling but beyond that I love this app a ton. — CORRECTION — There is a way to put down markers as I looked further into it. Maybe a way to enhance the users understanding of that little gear that most of us suspect is settings and has nothing to do with editing options. I think thats just some UI confusion happening. Excited to use these markers!
The app has amazing features such as VERY realistic reverb settings, a very good equalizer, pitch and speed settings that dont ruin the music quality and a wide range of themes. My only problem with this app is that every single time you leave the app and then come back, it greets you with an Ad. It doesn’t matter if you only switched tabs for one second, you will always get an Ad. I even tested switching back and forth between apps just for a second and every signal time i went back to Music Speed it gave me an Ad. As if that wasn’t annoying enough, you dont have the Ad volume disabled, it clashes with the music you already have playing on the app. This app never use to show Ads this frequently which makes this even more annoying. Especially for users who never had to deal with this prior to whichever update has caused this. It use to show an Ad every now and then but now the app just feels flooded with them. Other than that the app is perfect and runs very smoothly.
Is it possible to update the app to be compatible with iOS 17? I love the app, but it would be cool if there was an equalizer option as well as more speed options. this app is so cool and fun and amazing and awesome and super and phenomenal. it would also be cool if you could set the pitch to +3,600 semitones and -3,600 semitones. it would also be cool if you could set the speed to 0%. please don’t ever get rid of this app because I love it so much and it’s so nice and handy and convenient. Never thought I could make my personal composed songs better after finishing them. This app is like icing on the cake. Perfect touch of reverb combined with a lowering of the far right 3 sliders in the equalizer to minimize background noise as well as correct the overly treble sounds. My voice is also naturally lower, so raising the song to be a half-step higher, or even a quarter-step higher (+.50), makes my voice have more of a tone that is easier to listen to. Again, it’s the cherry on top to all of my own creations. I couldn’t go without it, and I can’t believe it’s free. Best app ever
There’s only one tiny thing I noticed about it when you pitch shift and turn on voice correction and it’s that it’s not string friendly. Things like violin, piano, certain synths or anything orchestra related sound weird. It’s like you hear the original key and the pitch shifted key at the same time. If there’s a way to fix that it’s pretty much perfect. There’s also a bug I found, when you tap the plus or minus on Formant it doesn’t change the Formant it for some reason changes the pitch instead.
Usually you find a lot of apps that are behind paywalls and very limited. This has every audio feature that I love to mess with. There are unobtrusive ads, and honestly I like it so much I may even purchase the ad free version. I just super appreciate in todays app climate , a legitimate app! Thanks guys (Edit after using for about 2 months. It’s actually kind of blowing me away with the amount of features this app allows. Simple adjustments that make a HUGE difference. Very impressed)
This is an amazing app, and I love how it has great compatibility with my screenreader, VoiceOver. It didn't take me very long to learn how to use it. I can make my recordings and music sound even better than the original! I am also very happy that I can edit MP4 videos, including screen recordings. Please keep up the good work and the regular updates, and thank you so much for creating this masterpiece!
Been looking for a music app for iOS that had both an equalizer and pitch. This app has both and they are free. I also never get ads on here . But please add the feature to change or adjust the picture of the music file. All my music had pictures that were perfect squares but on here they are like squished lol. I also would like the feature to sort the music by artist. If both of these are added I would totally give it 5 stars.
Loving this app!! I have a feature suggestion and I hope this will reach the developers of this app. My suggestion is to add a formant change slider to use in combination with the pitch change slider. When used in combo with the pitch slider it would in theory take away the “chipmunking” and allow the pitch change to sound more human and natural. I use this technique in the DAW Reaper and I’d love to have it on my phone through this app
So great for woodshedding , learning difficult passages! You can ‘select’ the part of somg you want to learn , slow it down, without affecting the pitch! which is unbelievable, then loop it! Save only the ‘New’ bit or what ev’s!! in the old days , I used to have to pick up the needle off turntable, put it back approximately to the beginning of the part I was trying to cop .. I feel in this instance, technology wins the day
Can’t figure out on how to edit something after i already did
This is a really good app but everytime im done editing something i cant figure out on how to edit it again because i only get to delete it, share it, make it play last, make it play list and done! Thats all the options i get other than to edit it again. I would really appreciate it if you gave me a response on how to edit something again. Overall a pretty good app.
The only thing I don’t like about this app is the fact that when I leave the app or turn off my phone when I’m listening to my music, it plays an ad and interrupts my playing song. Every time I leave and go back to the app, an ad keeps playing and it’s so irritating. I can’t listen to my music without it being interrupted by non stop ads. There’s too many ads in this app and I believe that there needs to be changes and a limit of ads being put into this. I’m getting non stop ads and it’s very annoying.
Was recently diagnosed with Trigeminal Nueralgia and have been taking meds for it to help. A side effect is that the meds have affected my sense of pitch for music. This app has really helped me in with its tool for adjusting the pitch and making my music experience sound much more enjoyable before the meds. My only gripe is how I wish there was a crossfade option, but that’s only a minor nitpick that doesn’t make or break the app.
I literally never write reviews for apps, and I still don’t. This is commendation for such a smooth and fast app. Everything is quick, clean, efficient, and accessible. I am actually trying to find something that is wrong with this app that even slightly impedes me from it’s intended purpose, but no dice. It’s simple yet sophisticated, easy to use, precise, and just looks decent. Well done!
The app is flawless, the constant, inaudible ads that keep popping up literally every second tho, isn’t flawless. It pisses me off real bad. Also another suggestion, you should add a 3D/surround sound effect for audio and have like a % control for it too. I think that would make the app a lot better than it already is!
This app is really helpful. It was suggested to me by my tap teacher, because I needed it to adjust my tap solo music when I was first learning it. It made it a lot easier, and over time I could make it faster. The only thing that I found difficult was when I first got it, it was very confusing to set up. I couldn’t figure out how to import songs, but eventually figured it out. But overall it was pretty good. Really helpful
This is EASILY one of the best apps i've ever used! Everything works perfectly and most of the tools are free which is a good thing. However i usually play music from my files (mp3) and i can't edit the songs that i've imported so if you could make an option to delete or make playlists for the imported songs that would be great.
This app is absolutely fantastic! From the loading of audio art covers, the playlist-like navigation ability, the larger divided pitch semitones, and how this app doesn't lag with larger audio files. I had used various audio editing apps throughout the years yet none have come close to how good your app is!
iPhone 13,I’m trying to make a voice recording and then share it to Music Speed Changer but Music Speed Changer isn’t an option, I have to end up saving the voice recording to my phone somehow and then finding the file, I’m just hoping to be able to share it directly within the voice recording app within iPhone, to MSC

This is an amazing app! I love listening to music that is 2-3% faster including pitch shifting. The fact that individual tracks can have their specific tempo and pitch options stored is amazing! However, the only feature that is missing that would give this 5 stars for me is the ability to pitch shift Apple Music DRM songs. This would give the app purchase SO much more value. Thanks!
I can listen to books and seminars at various speed and import different files format. This was the best app after I tried many. You can also edit or replay specific area in loop, this is very useful when the recording is noisy.
I’ve had this app for about a year, and it’s been great! I’ve never had any problems with it and the amount of options it gives you to edit audios is very impressive. And it always sounds clear unlike other apps like this. Definitely recommend. :)

I've used this app ever since I found it when it was around a month or so old. Ever since then I have always used it to make loops of my favorite songs and do other fun stuff with it. Basically, this app is just Audacity for iOS. And that's just what makes it so awesome. -JulianR2JG
The app itself is dynamic, easy to use, and contains a complete arsenal of options. However, I wish there was a way to fix the unsupported file type error. I get this error too often and randomly with various song files (mp3, WAV, etc.) despite how those same songs work perfectly find on every other music player I’ve ever used.
This correlates to another review I made where a bingo ad plays in the background. The ad doesn’t pop up like other regular ads, it like plays while the music is playing, and theres no way for me to skip the ad
Great app to play tracks and change pitch and tempo. However, it has a limitation that’s a blocker for me. I need the ability to play a track, and then use my iPhone camera to record myself playing my instrument over the track to practice. You are not allowing me today. Big problem for me as I can’t record myself to see my progress and mistakes.

Holy crap this app has everything. I was searching for a way to reverse & pitch audio and this is the one. It has everything I was looking for: 1. Pitch up and down 2. Tempo up and down 3. Reverb, Bass boost 4. Reverse audio 5. Plays outside of app & when phone is turned off 6. Custom color scheme 7. Looping any parts of a song For those who are poor and can’t afford to buy songs, you can import files of screen recordings as well, so it doesn’t just work with songs but any video on your device! Highly recommend!!!
I got the new iPhone 15 and when I downloaded this app I can’t use it. None of the music that I had already bought will pop up through the app. When I had my 11 I had no problems and the app worked and I was able to use the pitch. But ever since I got my new phone it just don’t work. Is there something wrong with the app??
This is a really great app and you can tell the dev(s) spent a lot of time polishing. Feature rich, well designed, fun to use. I love changing speed of music to get different perspectives and stuff, this is perfect for that. Very customizable and integrates your iTunes library. Good stuff.
I’m so happy that this app is finally available for iOS users. I enjoyed this app when I had my Samsung, and still love it now that I have an iPhone!I have great songs that I have downloaded and I cannot wait to use this app to modify then and make them sound even better than the originals!
Really like the app, it’s very user friendly. I do wish you can adjust the rate (pitch and tempo combined) when tapping plus or minus by a customizable amount rather than one at a time. Hopefully you can make an update with that change.
I love this app and use it primarily for my music. However the loop feature doesn’t work anymore and just is silent when you try to loop it. Please fix it!
It does everything I asked it to do. It's easy to import and export, easy to use, simple design, and it's free! Has customization options, and allows you to link or unlink tempo and pitch. Best part? It's completely free. Please keep it free, my dudes. It needs no changes. I mean it's probably stealing my information but hey, the app works, so what more could I ask for?
This app does everything it says but every time I go up in pitch just a little, the audio sounds like a robot is talking. It’s very noticeable and it didn’t do it months ago when I got the app. I know that there is a pro version that fixes this but I don’t want to pay for that.
I believe that you should make it easier to make playlists, like a feature for selecting multiple songs at once. This app is awesome though. Highly recommend!
As a music producer, I find this app amusing. You can change music attributes on real-time! You can make a song sound completely different with a few adjustments. No issues l, no ads, pure awesomeness.
I’m using iPhone SE with the latest software update. I can’t even open the app. It’ll freeze for long moments on the app logo screen, and then go back to the Home Screen. It’s fine when it works, though. What could be causing the malfunction? Is there anything I can do to fix it?
