The app is ok, but it is relatively unresponsive. Any time I try to arrange a transfer to my bank account through the app, it won’t allow me to choose my account for the transfer, even though I’ve entered all of my information. Quite frustrating as it makes me feel like my money is inaccessible.
If you have the option to voice your opinion beforehand in the study you’re in, do not let them choose the “convenience” of this card. Yes, this is a review of the app but I can’t get my pin to work, all but one time. it’d be less weird if it was a different number or if it kept happening after my first successful time trying but my first time trying with the pin they have failed, then a different store (same pin) it worked, now it’s not working again. All this to say, I’ve tried countless times to get on the frickin app to just see the pin, let alone change it, and I’m locked out. Sometimes it’s the whole app, other times I get to see my balance but have to enter in some mystical password that’s different from my account password and pin just to see my pin and, shocker, I can’t get in to see it. The hilarious thing, I can still order online without a pin and I can see my card number in my account before I’m required to use some other password to see the pin.
This app is terrible and has false advertising. I’m in the Covid testing trial and was encouraged to download this app to access my funds. I haven’t been able to transfer my funds into my account. The transfer button does not work. All my purchases are being declined although I only make purchases through companies that accept Mastercard and visa. I’ve called the customer service line on two occasions. Both times I spoke to live personals and nobody has a explanation for the fail purchases and transfers. It’s as if I have no funds on my card even though the app and phone services says I do. What’s really going on ClinCard?
This app may look polished, but when you try to transfer money out to your normal bank account, it’s very buggy. I’ve put my bank info into the app, but when I go to the “card to bank transfer” option, and go to select my bank account, all that pops up is a grayed out button to “apply.” I can’t select my bank account, so I can’t get my money. I have tried restarting the app, re-adding my bank info. There just does not seem like a way to get my money into my normal bank account.
I just received a new VISA ClinCard and was able to easily set up my account and have total visibility of my card and it’s activities. I think the other reviewers who gave low ratings are using cards other than VISA.
Hi needed to find my PIN for cash withdrawal. Their website is impossible to find, so I ended up calling. And I was finally able to set up an account on my phone. I was expecting their phone app to be crap, but I am pleasantly surprised that it is easy to use and readily provides all the information you need.
Surprised that this hasn’t been fixed by now as it looks like people have been complaining about this for a really long time. My bank is shown as successfully loaded in the app, but there’s no way to transfer money to it. The transfers section does not show any bank available to select and no ability to select any amount. Makes this card a hassle to even use. That’s a shame.
What good is having a branded app to manage a branded card if it doesn’t accept each type of card? Most apps can use more than one type of credit card and this should be no different. Seems like a simple fix to add support for the MasterCard to the app instead of just having the Visa enabled. Having to go to a website - a separate website that’s not even yours - seems like second-class citizenry for MasterCard users.
Will not allow Card to Bank Transfer even though I entered my bank information. My bank does not even appear on the drop down menu option when I click on “bank to transfer to”. So this looks like an issue that was experienced by another user of the app. This problem really needs to be fixed.
I have a ClinCard that I've used. When trying to register, it said the card number I'd used successfully multiple times was invalid. Fail. It said the login I'd used successfully multiple times on its website was invalid. Fail. This is worse than worthless because it wastes your time. Whatever organization of clowns ClinCard retained to make an app should be fired then sued.
Does what it’s supposed to do. Once bank account is verified (another reviewer seems to have had an issue here so wanted to pass this along) the transfer service worked seamlessly.
It keeps saying my card number is invalid. I don’t know if it’s a bug but I’ve tried many times to enter in my card number but it still says it isn’t valid. I just want to be able to check my card balance without having to call the number on the back of my card all the time.
The app basically does not work, only to check your balance. Customer support wants to verify ALL of your information every time you call apparently. They make it nearly impossible to take your money out and the rude customer service will cut you off while you’re trying to explain what’s going on. 0/100
Attempted to transfer the card balance to my bank. You are able to add a bank account but then there is no bank account to select from the drop down menu under “transfer to bank”. Major issue and highly inconvenient.
I’m in the Covid-19 trial and was given a ClinCard abc thought the easiest way to manage it was via the App, NOPE! Keeps telling me to enter a valid card number. I call customer service, talked to a live human and was told they would report the problem. That was 3 weeks ago and the App still won’t acknowledge the card. Fix your stupid App
This is a joke, right? I call the number on the back of my card to activate it and retrieve my PIN, and I’m told there are technical difficulties. I download this app to retrieve my PIN, and it only says my card number isn’t correct. It’s been 2 weeks. How can you not have anything as vital as this not work for 2 weeks?
This application, and company, are worse than trash. I am about to file a formal complaint with the study. It doesn’t work, so you try to call the company. The system hangs up on you and you can’t get through to anyone. Stay as FAR AWAY as you can from this company!
One of the worst services I’ve ever had the displeasure of using
Absolutely terrible. App is full of bugs, linked a bank and couldn’t see it in the list, meaning any funds are locked in this silly account. I’m not looking forward to my required support call.
Basically impossible to use. Good luck transferring funds off of the card to a bank account. My Chinese knockoff Roomba has a better UX than this stupid app. But I’m sure the back end is ~super secure~ so our social security numbers aren’t already floating around the dark web. What a joke.
None of the buttons respond, you can’t transfer your money to your bank, half the time it tells me my pin is wrong when it’s not. This is a terrible way to receive payment.
Soooo I’m trying to active the myclin card on the app. And when I press the option “forgot password “. I’m not receiving a message via email or text to try to fix the issue. But I can login on the website with no issues.
Password recall doesn’t work. “Customer support” is all bots and dead-end wait music. I swear they switch your pin when you make it so you can’t use it. You can only use the exact amount on the card.
Does not work. The app crashes when trying to transfer balance to a bank account and crashes when trying to connect to Apple Pay. Never get into a clinical trial tat uses ClinCard as payment.
Can’t log in, as it forever says I have another session open (regardless of the other session being closed or hitting the “kill session” button). Website is just as useless.
Not only does this still not work with the mastercard branded clincards, which in themselves are limited to a website that doesn’t even let you transfer funds, nothing readily told me this.
App has been nothing but a headache. Too add I can’t even access my funds because there is an update and the update keeps failing. Absolute nightmare of a process it is using this app.
No where on the app does it say it’s only for visa not MasterCard. I’m part of a clinical trial for a covid vaccine and the card issues have been very inconvenient. Add support for MasterCard or at least make it clear you don’t support it so you waste less people’s time!!
Scam - Downloaded App and it took $ off debit card
After I downloaded app, I saw it was for Visa only. Called my debit card and Liveme had taken off card! It was connected to downloading this app, because it did it instantly!
One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. I can sign in to my account on my PC, but when using the same exact card number in this app, it says the card number is wrong. At this point the app is worthless.
I’ve been trying to get this thing to work on Apple Pay to sign up for Apple Music and it refuses to work, despite accepting my previous prepaid VISA cards perfectly fine.
Terrible customer service. No security what so ever to prevent other card issuers to go into your active cards and close one by mistake or take your money. This app is a headache!
I never seen a app who doesn’t provide any support for master card. I don’t understand the whole point of this app if many customers can’t use it. DONT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! Use website!
With over 30,000 trial participants in the Covid 19 trial, one would think it critical to incorporate MasterCard Clincard into this app. It’s only for Visa Clincard. You’ve clearly missed big time on this app.
