Worked well for 24 hours. Haven’t been able to log on to the app in months. Waited to log on to see if it would eventually get fixed, still same message, system error. Ridiculous malfunction for nationwide app and how much money they make. I have to go log onto the computer. No other way. Useless app.
Used to work great. Now it’s just an unusable app. I was unable to log in, then I attempted to do a password recovery. I could not get pass the verification page. Called Nationwide to reset password and verify that all the “incorrect” info was correct (it was). After the temporary password was used I was redirected to the verification page which worked this time. Then on to the create new password page and a whole new page of frustration. Type in new pass then confirm pass MAKE SURE YOU DO IT ACCORDING TO THE RULES and still nope. All you will get is “ Check the password format rules” I even typed the temp pass into notes and then made a 1 for 1 of its format by just changing the letters and numbers as in a capitol letter was changed to a different capital letter, lower case for a lower case, and a number for a number. I kept the same special character. I copy and pasted the password and still “Check the password format rules” Please fix what was once a very good app.
Trying to login this morning and I can’t get in, I keep getting a system error notice. Also, even after the new revamping and layout, when in the app, if I go to my balance and look at my chart or any other selection and then hit any option button at the bottom of the screen the screen goes white and your dead in the water and need to reboot the app. I shouldn’t need to arrow back at the top of the screen when the buttons are available at the bottom. There should be a home button that takes you to the landing page no matter where you’re at.
I like the app overall, but I find the font difficult to read. The letters are so close together that my eyes strain when reading. Seems like this was an afterthought and in my opinion the wrong choice of font. Also, I would like to point out that the app doesn’t resemble NationWide and that is just weird, unless this was on purpose for specific reasons. Make the app easier to read with a better font and I will give four/five stars. I will continue to use the mobile site since its easier to read and I can still use it like an app for now. Good effort, but needs some refinement. I look forward to having a clean app in the future.
I like the accessibility of this app but would like to see some updates that would enable me to track my money and ensure its security and precise calculations. -Thankfully the clock changed to EST but it always says your last login date/time as some erroneous time making me question if someone else accessed my account. -If the rate of return would update more frequently we could keep a better comparison on the benchmarks. -Balance Activity should show of “adjustments” are positive or negative.
Doesn’t do half of what is shown. Example, has a place called PLANNING but just says - Oops something went wrong; it does not work. You cannot open any of the monthly statements. There is nothing about your employers plan. This app is no more than a place to go just to look at your balance and that is about all it is good for.
Gives you a good snapshot of what you might have at the moment because it’s the market things can change but gives you a good start to the road you want to be on from the road you are currently traveling on.
All this app does is basically open a browser window and show you the website. It's slower and worse than the website, and the website is already slow and pretty awful as it is. So it's sort of the worst of both worlds. Stuck at "Please Wait" window over and over to do much except look at account balance. Faster just to use the website on mobile.
I cannot log in to my nationwide retirement without updating. I went to the door store to update and it tells me to open, I open the app and it says update again. I’ve tried this multiple times, but it isn’t allowing me to update. This needs to get fixed.
Difficulties with the interactive retirement readiness
Not sure if it’s the app or my plan doesn’t allow to edit and update. I can’t edit any of the information already in the fields to update my info to check my “ retirement readiness”. Would be nice to be able to adjust info.
Logged in for the first time in a couple months and it kept giving me an error message. Eventually it worked, now Face ID login isn’t working. I though maybe it was poor signal but then I tried when I was on WiFi and same issues. The Planning tab does not work at all, has a picture of a dog and says refresh or try again later. Unfortunately the app went from great to useless. Hopefully fixes or a new app are in the works 10/10 do not recommend.
The app will not allow access since the latest update. It says This version is out of date. You must update the app to continue. Even after the app was updated to the latest version
Updated app as mandated, clicked “open” button to access information and was returned to the sign in screen, greeted by the same message that I needed to update the app to continue. Been stuck in this loop for two days. Please resolve.
In attempting to enter verification of my phone number and then next screen asking if correct device—- keyboard will not disappear and its in the way of continue prompt so you cannot move to next screen. Completely ridiculous.
I tried to login this morning and I was told I needed to update my app. I performed the update restarted my phone and the app still says update is required. I even deleted and redownloaded the app and it says the same thing.
I used to get quarterly statements and you didn’t have real time information or data. Now I can look at this daily if I want to. The app is very easy to navigate and fun to check in on for future planning.
Not happy with changes forced on me that don’t work
This new site is not usable. I opened it had to change password , entered new password and it says app needs to be upgraded….. did this loop 3 times. App only launches from internet…..
The 2 different days speaking with the agents was very helpful. The knowledge they possess is valuable. Patient and courteous. Their qualities are unmatchable. It makes the account holder confident and secure. More companies should have employees like yours ! Thank You !
While the app can sometimes be glitchy the overall ability for one to keep an eye on their retirement and modify their funds is fairly painless and quick to complete.
Tried to open app, a pop up screen opens saying I need to update. I hit update and takes me back to app story to original down load. No update available
Like the idea of this app. Only struggle with it’s calculating consistency. Every time I run a retirement calculator the numbers are dramatically different. This is within a few minutes of each other.
The latest update not showing my 457 account, just my 401K. But my City moved to TMRS but I had my money moved to my 457. But I can’t see it anymore since the latest update and no option to select it for viewing This occurred after the latest update. I can log in but there is No Way to view my 457 account now! Not even an option to view it.
Went to log in today and message said app needed to be updated. After I updated the app it just keeps doing a continuous loop of app needs updated. Crazy
It said there was a new version to download so I downloaded it. I can not log in now. It keeps telling me there is an update version but can’t open the app.
Great with updating the contributions and viewing overall balance and amount. Down fall is it doesn’t show individual investments for those with multiple accounts. At least I hadn’t figured that part out.
I have been using this app for a while and it advised I needed an update. I updated and still advised the same thing. I deleted and reloaded and still the same thing. Frustrated cause I use it often.
App says you need to update. Click on update takes you to the App Store. Click app goes back to you need to update app. Ridiculous. Literally impossible to update this app. DELETED!!!
My initial interaction with the app was perfect. When I went to go back in to make changes, like updating some of my information, I couldn’t or I wasn’t able to find it. A way to do a search on the app would be very helpful.
Difficult to find performance of the investment options
It’s extremely hard to find the investment options and compare their performance. It’s very easy however to make a change to your investment selection.
When I try to login into the app, the first screen I get to after entering, my information is having to select my contact preference, but because of some kind of design Air, the button doesn’t show up on my screen.
Has worked for years and now it won’t let me sign in. Sign-in screen says app needs to update. When I click on update, there are no more updates. Unable to sign in. I have Version 1.23.0. Please fix the bug.
Went to log in today and the app says it needs to be updated to open. Updated the app and now it’s continually saying needs to be updated to open but the update is complete
This App is no longer allow me to login as of May 17, 2023. It tells me it’s out of date so I click on update and then it takes me to the App Store and the only available option is “open” not “update” so I’m caught in the loop. When I click on “open“ it takes me back to the statement that says it needs to be updated. Back-and-forth I go..
App only shows my total retirement fund balance/ value, not individual investments, and certainly not in real time. Cannot access statements. Still have to log into a the website for current detail. What’s the point of the app? Needs fixing. Don’t tell me to call the number. Make a better app. Both my Charles Schwab and Fidelity apps show detail of my investments in real time.
The app was working ok until the required update. After the update was downloaded , it is still requesting an update. I deleted the app to update again, but it still doesn’t work. The app no longer works.
