Need to update

This app is great, the service is good, sometimes buggy, sometimes appears like my car is disconnected or like it did not the execution and etc, but also need to be updated to get siri shortcuts, this would be great!!! Im using this since 2018 and I keep recommending to others, so please add that in the next update. Thanks

Poor customer service

I had this system put in a few years ago. It worked great until I was forced to purchase an “upgrade” so that I could keep using the app. I work in a building too far away from where my car is parked for a fob to work so they had me in a corner. I got the upgraded device and had the dealer where I purchased it put it in. It didn’t work long. I have tried everything they have told me to do. I even took it back to the installer and they checked everything out and said it was the app. The fob works fine. Customer service simply stops responding to you when they realize they sent you a defective product. I paid for three years to use this item. They have taken my money and are happy to ignore any issues with their product. It’s virtually useless to me at this point and winter where I live, which is why I have it in the first place. I cannot recommend this to anyone because they are only after your hard earned money and won’t back up their product. I’m guessing they control what reviews get posted about them as well since I have not seen my review anywhere

App works with properly installed systems

I think this app is getting a bad reputation not because of the app itself but because of the installation of the receiver in the car. The receiver has to be mounted with a certain side facing upward and away from metal objects. I installed mine myself and originally did not have it installed in the correct manner. Mine like many of the bad reviews here worked very sporadically. I thought the problem was in the app. After bad results for the first month or two I went back and redid the installation of the receiver per the instructions. I located it near the top of the dash, the correct side facing up and away from metal. This remote start system works 100% of the time now. If your system is working with limited success I can almost guarantee you receiver is installed improperly.

Excellent App works 99.9% of the time.

I love this app it’s so easy to use now I could remote start my minivan also unlock / lock open / close each sliding door and lift gate by remote cell phone app the device works on 5G network anywhere in the world, I was in the Dominican Republic and my car was in NY for a moth and I would remote start my minivan once a week , I would also open the sliding doors and lift gate for my son remotely when ever he needed to take any tools or anything out, I also installed this unit my self on my 2019 Toyota Sienna and installation was a breeze it took me 45 minutes to install it since the installation instructions were specifically for my vehicle the display of the app shows 24/7 status interior car temperature and most importantly Battery voltage..

Great & easy to use

Update August 2020: Still works great. Went ahead and got the 3 year plan. Any developments on Siri support or Apples digital key? Vehicle: 2017 Jeep Wrangler with MPC Remote Start & MPC Smartphone app module Device: iPhone XS Max IOS 13.2.2 Had some issues with my initial installation of my MPC Smartphone app module when I tried to register it in the app. Something happened and I wasn’t able to interface with my Jeep. I could only use the GPS function to locate the Jeep however I was unable to unlock/lock the doors or start it. Turned out it wasn’t an issue with this app. The modules I had required “relearning”. I contacted MPC and they responded within 24 hrs so I could reprogram them. Once I did that everything worked flawlessly. Additional features. It would be much better if this app supported HomeKit and had a widget shortcut. Wondering if future release is in work?!

Latest software killed all functionality

This app is great when it works. Unfortunately a software update came through that killed the functionality of the telematic device. (Feb 2021) Get a fix please!!! Update: contacted product support and they were able to resolve the software update that was pushed to the telematic device. App was not the issue but good customer service was able to resolve the issue. This is a 5 star app when everything works.

It works 95% time for me

I have been using this app for two years with “fortin” remote start module. I do have problem, but most of the time its accurate and responds to the commands. Every software or hardware do give problem sometime, so in this sense this app or hardware is not that bad. I can deal with 5% problem. I love it and i will definitely recommend it. It saves me lots of trouble, i can start, lock/unlock doors with visible confirmation and see the location of my car also can see the status of the car battery.

Works great but....

I install these regularly. I’ve installed around 15 in the past month. On DEI remote start platforms the run time is perfect on Fortin it reports the wrong run time. For instance when the remote start unit is set for 15 minutes it shows like 31 when it starts after a few to several minutes the run time corrects itself. Wonder if this an app problem? Units I installed last year worked perfect on both remote start platforms. Please advise

Great app

As others have said, works like a charm every time when the cellular box is property installed (at least 3 inches away from any metal surface and with the proper orientation). The length of the link cable can be prohibitive of a proper install, depending on where you install the main remote install unit. I cut and extended the link wires to ensure a proper install (no issues). I really wish there was an Apple Watch compatible version as this would be very convenient. Hopefully that’s coming soon!

Great product

Love this product. I am always second guessing whether or not I locked my car and this gives me piece of mind. I’ve put a lot of money and hard work into my car so this is definitely a great addition. I wish this app had more functions and a cooler look to it though. As I’ve seen in other comments, it would be nice if you could add a custom photo for your car. When is the next major update being released?

Very Happy...get it professionally installed.

I tried to install it myself and was about to bang my head into a wall. So what I did was I took my Fortin and MyCar device to a car stereo installer and well, works perfect ever since. I wish they would add an iOS widget and Siri Shortcuts. That would make this device perfect! I lock my keys in my car in a lot of the times on purpose and just lock it and unlock it with the app.

Awesome

App works great about 75% of the time but it’s not the apps fault it just depends on the remote starters cellular connection and your phones. I absolutely love the new Apple Watch support, that will be how I start my car most of the time now. It’s so easy just to raise my wrist open the app and hit start especially when I’m in a place where I can’t whip out my phone. App only gets better with every update!

Could be better

When I first got the app, everything was working fine if not better than fine. Now that I’ve have it for almost 2 weeks it’s acting up. Every time I load the app, my car is longer linked . I have the keypad as well and even that doesn’t lock/unlock my car. I have to literally manually unlock/ lock my doors when that defeats the purpose of having the system. My old store brought key fob worked fine, it just didn’t have auto start, but now I think I’ll be going back to the old one.

So for so good

Not many issues the little ones I had have been corrected. Just one request/suggestion if possible is to have the phone vibrate when a request is pressed and successful instead of the “sound in application” or when it’s turned off, This will help the user know that a command was pressed and successful if it indeed was. Thank you

Disappointing

I have had the remote to start for 3 years now. The first year i used with the app and it would be accurate 75% of the time. The second year I used my key fob which started 100% of the time. The third year(this yr) I paid for my to renew a 1 year subscription with the app. It started my car 2 times out of 10. I emailed the company and have not heard back. Now the app says I must renew again after just a month of having renewed for what was supposed to be a year. Waste of time and money. Completely disappointing that they have yet to make adjustments to this app.

Only works for a year or two

I got this product because I can not get a regular car starter to work with the thick brick walls at work. It worked okay for a year. Most times you had to try to get the car to start a couple times. After renewing my subscription for the second year the app stopped working. I could not get the car to start. I contacted the company and their solution was to sell me a new one for another $99! And they outright tell you it will only work for a year or two before you have to buy another one. I would NOT recommend this for you.

Works Sometimes

When it works I like it, but it fails to work more times than it works. It also doesn’t seem to matter where I am even in good cell coverage areas. Sometimes it takes repeated commands to make one successful one go through. I’ve moved the antenna around with no effect. I also wish the app could give you a reminder every 5 minutes your vehicle is running. So many times I just forget about it and have to start it again.

Works between 15-20% of the time. Those are not great odds.

I have had a lot of trouble with this app. I doesn’t start my car. I have tried many things like locating the car. It seems to do that okay, I hope if the location worked it would help start the car, but no. Then I confirmed that the doors were locked. Something it would lock the doors, and other times it wouldn’t. Still no starting of my car. This app really needs work. I hope my comments will help the developers know there are really problems.

Phone alarm is excellent and impossible to ignore!

When I first purchased this system it would send a notification but if your phone was set to vibrate you wouldn’t hear the alarm... problematic. Now it is perfect! Loud and impossible to ignore, even if your phone is set to silent mode.

Best add-on to my vehicle

Purchase a line of site remote start for my 2014 Toyota Highlander from MyPushCart. Not long after, I decided to add the Smartphone module so I could start my vehicle regardless of where I was in proximity to it. After working out a couple of bugs with tech support, the app is working great with my remote start. I can conveniently start and cool down my vehicle in the hot south Florida weather. First year of service is FREE and then $40 a year thereafter which is a bargain compared to other apps/remote starters with all it does: GPS location of my car, signal strength of the module, vehicle battery status and door lock status. Highly recommend.

Great app

You guys need to include like a way to sense when car does not start just like it senses if doors are locked or unlocked and please please Please add apple watch shortcut:) The app updates are a great improvement getting better every time . It works perfect in my truck. Thank you

Not working since update!

Was working great until this last update mid November 2019. Now that’s it’s cold out and car is not close will not and factory remote will not work that far away, that’s why we got this unit. Please fix!

Really nice app

It works very well. I really like being able to restart the engine run timer when I take too long getting out of the house. It’s also cool to grant temporary access to family when I need to.

Great when works

Is a great app when it works. I loved that I could use my watch to control it. However all of a sudden it stopped working on my watch. I've tried everything to try to fix it. No luck. That was my favorite feature!

Great

The app works great overall. I don’t get some of the features the system claims but I’m guessing that is at the fault of the dealer/installer. The app does fail occasionally but not everything is perfect. I would absolutely LOVE to see an Apple Watch app. Make it happen developers! What do you say?

Works well!

The app works perfectly and does everything it should do. I’m taking away a star simply because I own a TRD pro Tacoma and that trim isn’t available. It literally has every other trim available so it’s just kind of annoying.

I first gave this app one star but now changing it to 4 because the module instructions had said to change the device protocol to ads not crimestopper after changing it every thing works perfectly

Flawless

The app has worked just as advertised. I mounted the receiver in front of my tachometer right behind the steering wheel. The receiver has a direct line of site through my windshield. App and receiver works flawlessly.

Extremely buggy

I just spent $750 for this thing. Set it up at the dealer, all appeared to work fine. Soon as I got it home, nothing. No function at all. What’s worse, even the feedback and the support contact parts of the app are non-functioning. How long as this thing been out on the App Store? Not ready for prime time.

It works but....

This works to remote start my car but now it’s time to renew. I went to renew and the billing date is backdated to the date my subscription expired not the day I’m renewing. So basically they want me to pay for time I didn’t use the app...this app is basically designed to cheat people out of their money. I’m not renewing!

Don’t ever forget your password

There is no way to reset it if you forget it. It tells you server not available every..single..time. You cannot change your email and it doesn’t save your pin.

Most recent app version starts car 50% time

Was working fine before the last update, now for some reason it will error the first time then show that it started, but when I get to the car, the car didn’t start at all.

60 day review

Love this app/ service sooo much. I live in a large city so service is always 100% and reliable. My key fob requires me to lock the car 4 times to start , that means honk the horn 4 times. So I never actually use the key fob. Ever. I use this app for every remote start. This morning I got notification that MyCar is now available on the Apple Watch ! Dreams came true.

Reliable, needs Apple Watch app

This app is useful and works consistently. It would be awesome if the developer would add an Apple Watch app, even if it’s only to turn vehicles off/on.

Down for a whole day

This is the worst situation to be in when you’re stuck with a locked car because there site is down for a day. I’ve been locked out of my truck for a whole day with no sort of response

Offline and not working for over 7 days!

This was all working reasonably wow (glitches and time outs every now and then). Functionality has totally stopped working over a week ago. I initially had some responses with the developers promising progress and a fix which was issued on the 9th November. My problems persist and despite querying status have had no response. At this point, I’m looking at alternative options for a remote start solution. This app and backend needs better support and more timely updates when there are issues.

Just OK

I was really looking forward to this app. But it needs more work. Has glitches, false alarms, settings not working. And the lack of customer support. Called and sent a email to their support, with no response back.

This App stinks

I had the installation done. The key fub works great, but the app don't recognize my registration. Calling customer support, is like waiting in line a Disney land.... Forever. Then when they finally pick up (24 hrs later), they give you a bull$h!t answer that ”they are currently rebooting their system and to call back”🤦‍♂️🤬

Does not work.

The last 30 min of work I know open the app and keep trying to start it. Eventually for no specific reason or change in what I did it starts ( ~5% starting success). Recent update makes it unable to be opened on phone.

Unreliable

App crashes. Can’t even use it. When it did work it takes 3 or 4 tries for the command to go through even in good cell coverage locations. Needs an overhaul

Fail

The app does not connect to my car. It says my serial number is wrong. I’ve tried the SN on my phone and my VIN. There is no way to get help because it wants me to select a device first but obviously I can’t add the device.
