It’s wonderful to have an app for easy access to your benefits and case details at a glance, but the app is often glitchy and takes a long time to load your information. It would also be great to have face recognition or even have id/password remembered on the login page from personal devices. Truly I’m grateful to have an app for this but some small improvements would really streamline the process.
First off, I would like to say thank you for giving all of us an opportunity to have a digital form of contact with our benefits through online and app services. Secondly, I would like to say that it has helped me extremely as to. I have a very busy schedule as most of us do, therefore it helps tremendously with getting my notices, making sure I stay on top of my information, and it makes it 10 times easier for me to submit information instead of having to find a day to go in to the building to do it!. The only thing I would like to recommend is that there is a number of some type of customer service that is strictly just for the app so if we were to have any questions regarding anything on there that there is a direct line for that, instead of having to call the Human Services main line and having to wait and go through all of that. But overall, it’s a five star for me. Thank you.
Verona and Erin have been OUTSTANDING in helping to guide me through the process of finding a CAREER that will satisfy my need for Financial Independence after a recent divorce, instead of a quick low earning “JOB” that only allows me live “paycheck to paycheck” and won’t help me with other goals I have for my life. They are also helping me to find work that helps me feel like I am fulfilling my purpose of helping humanity. So far, with a lot already on my plate even before my orientation, It’s a lot of work in a small amount of time but I feel confident I will find a great career, earning enough money, not only to survive but to thrive. I’m sure everyone else in the department is great as well but these two have set the bar really high so far. If I had one critique it would be to slow down the Orientation with how fast they go through everything because it’s all new information for some of us. Thanks!!
Such a great feature to get logged in and the system has everything ready for you if your account needs something. Other apps you can get lost for hours trying to fill out the right form etc and wait and hope you hear it was the right form and fear the application wasn’t cancelled for not being on the correct one.. I would say this feature makes it where I would tolerate a whole lot of technical issues with the app before even considering for a second the desire to use a different one
I used this app to apply for SNAP due to a major change in my housing situation that is making me pay for everything by myself now. I wanted to log in so i can upload documents and it keeps giving me an Unsupported Case message for medical assistance. I don't need medical assistance, nor have i ever applied for medical assistance as my insurance from work is perfectly fine. I applied for SNAP. It's incredibly frustrating for this to happen and, frankly, more demoralizing than the process of jumping through bureaucratic hoops already is. This is a major issue that needs to be fixed as it not only gets in the way of trying to get necessary help, but could risk people losing their help assistance if suddenly our accounts are being connected to the wrong cases. Pretty shameful.
While using this app I decided on a whim to update my contact preferences to email/text only, no paper. Save a few trees, right? A few weeks later I receive a letter in the mail saying that I’ve requested to opt out of my Medicaid services. Um, WHAT?! I call in frantically trying to fix this issue and realize that the date I submitted this alleged “request” was the same as the date I updated my preferences. Thankfully I got it sorted out, but I shudder to think what would’ve happened if I had been in a position where I struggled with reading comprehension, clear articulation, or anything else of the sort that could be impacted by a disability or by speaking English as a second language. This app is DANGEROUS. Use it ONLY to check your balance. Don’t use it for ANYTHING else, for your safety.
So I would just like to note that Colorado has really been doing well with their mobile and also technological things as far as like the webpage is in the crashes and all the things that been happening in the past so I have to give them props and I really do feel like it’s very convenient with everything that we have been able to utilize in the services and also how almost every service has like a way to link to other services and the resources that are there are excellent as well🥰
Started an application for SNAP and I can’t get past the “add citizenship details” screen. I’m not a citizen, but permanent resident, so I choose my name from the pull down menu, then I enter my USCIS# (alien #) from my greencard, choose No for the sponsor question and the “Done” button is still grayed out and I can’t save the info. If I tap “skip” on the precious screen, it goes to a default “No” answer to the citizenship question, so I can’t submit my application because that isn’t correct and I’m signing under penalty of perjury. On the computer, I can’t find a way to open the application I started and saved on the app. So now I have to spend time trying to find help, waiting endlessly on the phone, etc. So frustrating.
I appreciate that there is a login option with a PIN, however this function does not work on iPhone, and this results in a number of unnecessary steps/clicks to be able to login to the app. The PIN login function is presented first, and once the PIN number is entered, the numerical pad does not disappear, so there is no way to select “submit” to proceed with the login with a PIN number. Instead the user must close out of the PIN screen, select the “Sign In” button, close out of the PIN screen a second time, then finally reach a login screen to sign in with email and password. And since there is no “remember me” function, the user must type the email and password each time to finally login successfully. Once logged in, the app is very useful. But getting logged in is a pain that could be solved by app developers making the numerical pad disappear after the PIN is entered, or introducing a function to close the numerical pad once the PIN is entered so that the “submit” button can be selected. I will update my review once this issue is resolved.
Update: Now I can’t see my EBT card balance. It says N/A. I have to log into the website instead. Honestly, at this point I’m going to delete the app and just use the website. Every time you update the app, it screws up the ability to log in with just a pin. I’ve set this up repeatedly, but as soon as I close the app, I have to go back to logging in with email and password. The updates don’t improve anything. They make the app even slower. It doesn’t show deposits in transactions or refunds. As of today, I can’t see any of my transactions at all. Your app developer needs to find a different line of work. Horrible app. Updates have made it nearly unusable.
No way to see transactions that I can tell. When calling the ebt line by phone there is a way to check transactions besides the deposits but not on this app. Also, ebt said the Covid would stop AND SAID Feb. would be the last extra put into my account. My ebt for that usually goes in the 3rd Wednesday of the month but this month A GIANT ZERO WAS ENTERED. What a way to make us feel the love for Valentine’s Day by dropping off and making us of those who still are not going out because Covid is still out there even if the government won’t accept the fact. I am a immune compromised individual that feels absolutely and completely abandoned by the system.
Submitting documents and changes through the app is like throwing away your time! Nothing is inputted on time for anything and then you end up having to go in person to take all the documentation in because it didn’t go through even though you have the confirmation number it give you. If you’re going to allow submitting documents through the app at least enter it into the system on time! [I changed my phone number a year ago and still to this day never changed it in the system but the rest of the other changes were noted]!
I’ve never been able to use a quick sign in feature. The other day it prompted me to update my pin so I’d be able to use a quick sign in feature. Now the pin won’t sign me in (yes, it is correct, when I use incorrect pin numbers it tells me I have limited attempts remaining). There’s no way to get back to manual log in now, it just keeps taking me in circles to the pin entry. I have tried pushing the small “x” and takes to the log in/create account screen. When I hit log in, it takes me back to pin entry. I wouldn’t have left this review without trying every option first.
It is a great app when it works! But it doesn’t always work. My biggest complaint is you get notified via email that you have new correspondence so you go check under new correspondence and it’s not there, it can take sometime up to three days to arrive! Meanwhile, you’re going crazy with worry whether or not they cut you off or reduce your food stamps or took away your Medicaid! Yes, all of those have happened but I didn’t know it for days because that’s what happens!!
I love having all my messages and balance right at my fingertips. Everything is very user friendly. The only thing I would change is the fact my credentials to sign in never come back up even when I put “remember me” so I have to type it in every time. That’s such a minor thing, I really have no complaints
I am trying to disenroll from Medicaid and while on hold “estimated wait time 84 minutes” with Denver County after DOZENS of calls where I was evidently over number 100 in the queue so my call was dropped. The message while I was on hold said downloading this app may help. But it’s not applicable for Colorado Medicaid. The Peak app won’t allow me to simply disenroll either. The State of Colorado Medicaid office won’t allow me to disenroll and neither will anyone in other Denver County offices. Please consider either increasing your number of employees or improving your software. It’s ridiculous that it takes DOZENS of calls and many hours of time to actually STOP receiving benefits!
Stop making me change my password you don’t understand how frustrating it is.. it’s like everything we do we need a password? I got so many passwords that I can’t even remember especially with this app cause it makes you change your password every year which is bull. If my accounts hasn’t been hacked then I don’t wanna change it and don’t make them so hard if someone wants a simple password let them have it. We don’t need a lower case a upper case a and some many digits just let us do whatever it’s annoying
Sometimes the website doesn’t work properly and I love how you now have an option to use the app instead to send change reports and upload documents for your application or redetermination.
Very user friendly! Using the save for later button was helpful however it makes you go through everything again instead of the last page you finished on.
The app as far as info goes is awesome! I like that you can do pretty much anything on it that you need to including checking your mail and sending in your redetermination packet, etc. The only thing I don’t like is how slow the app is to load.
I love the App, but is seems the case workers can keep up. They have a lot of their plate, I feel like they don’t want people using the app because it makes their jobs harder. This is just what I can tell from conversations. I prefer the app because its easier.
One benefit of having an app is that, ideally, I could double check my balance while at the grocery. Unfortunately, the app wouldn’t even load the login page for the entirety of my grocery trip. When it does load, it often shows a zero balance, despite me knowing that that is not accurate. When it works as intended, it’s perfectly fine.
This app is so wonderful I have been waiting to get a update on my status of my benefits and it’s not showing anything on the website but it’s up to date and showing what I have been wanting to see for a month ! Great app so helpful!
I really appreciate the app and what it stands for. Making it easier for you to be able to get into your account faster and more efficiently. Super convenient and useful.
Thank you so much for reinventing the app. Now I have a quick and easy way to check my balance on my snap card (EBT). I hated having to listen to the recording. Every time it took forever. The only disappointment with this is I have to sign in every time, and it doesn’t use face recognition. That’s why I only gave it three stars.
This app would be useful in an honest world … but it logs you out and doesn’t alert you of anything for security reasons… for a first-timer seeking assistance ? It leaves you to miss deadlines and have unanswered questions every time you log in…
It’s got a few glitches. I’ve been using the app for years. I find that it’s best to do most things online from their website- but I like the app to check my balance and read any correspondence from them.
The app is a nice tool however if you have to update your password it’s a pain in the rear. Won’t save your new password then when you try to make a new one again and use the same one that didn’t take it says that that’s an old password. It’s extremely frustrating.
I agree. You have to use your PIN and email/ login. It often doesn't accept the password even though I know I entered it correctly. The result is usually having to totally reset the password and try to remember it. It's almost like they cannot have anything about their program simple, easy or convenient. This app is just more of the same drawn out process as the glitchy website.
I love using the app. I can take care of everything I need to do through the app! It’s easy to use and easy to navigate !!! Saves so much time and helps me get all my pauper work done.
This is a very good app to keep track of my benefits and balances through the Colorado Peak program. The only thing missing is a way to make a comment when you need help from Peak or Medicaid. Otherwise an excellent app.
Tired of dealing with this app. Loved it in the beginning cause I could use my Touch ID now no matter what I do it won’t work. So I’m stuck having to always use my email and password. Takes way to much time when I’m in a hurry and need to check my balance. Can’t even use my PIN number always tells Me There is always an error and sign in with my email !
Major differences between the mobile version and the desktop version you wont even know the difference until you’re told that you said no to things that you didn’t even have on your question/ application . it definitely has gotten better but I’d still almost go back to the mail at least more reliable..
Two things 1.Dates for deposit would be helpful on this app , retroactive monthly helps to keep track for records . 2. Why does it have a pin to log on but then it stills wants your email and password???? Even my bank only asks for a pin ...otherwise a good app.
I like being able to use it online. I am sick a lot and I am constantly going in and out of the hospital. Seeing all the paperwork in one has been very helpful. Thank you! Christabelle “Gabbie” Brown
Initially the App worked very well, user friendly and easy access to information, I give this a 3, because at this time the app is malfunctioning- Update- the app runs great!
It’s very helpful to keep up to date information. Thank you for this! I did make some changes, so hopefully it will go through without a hitch! Sincerely, Rose
This app gives me a lot of trouble signing in to my account, then it locks it after 3 attempts. That would be fine if the email links they send me to change my password actually worked. This happens over and over again. I have never had such a hard time signing into other apps, so I know it’s not me.
1. It’s wildly slow to load & navigate. 2. It doesn’t allow for saved passwords or Face ID. 3. It will not allow you to upload pdf’s. It will only allow photos- which are always too large. 4. I have made employment edits repeatedly to no avail. 5. It won’t allow you to edit or print correspondence (which REQUIRE my response).
Idk what happened to the app. It was working just fine and all of a sudden it doesn’t log in. I’ll hit sign in and sign in, takes forever loading, then just goes back to the sign in page. The last time it let me sign in, i was signed in for a couple of seconds. Then it glitched and logged me out. Now it won’t even log in.
The set up of this app, it’s load time, the navigation and on and on. Poor app altogether but I’d blame CO HHS most of all - they do everything poorly. The only difference between the app and any single person at HHS is that the app is not rude or a jerk. Sorry my wife died and we needed some help. HHS CO should fire every single employee and hire new from the ground up, including whatever tool made this app so bad.
This app was great. Never had a problem with it until recently. It’s been a couple of days now that I can’t sign in because this app no longer supports medical cases. So now I can’t even look to see what the balance is on my EBT card.
