I ended up removibg the app and re-downloading it. There must have been an update or something. I think I had to do that before, but don’t understand why. That’s a hassle. No app should have to be deleted and redownloaded! That’s why only 4 stars. Other than that issue, I have no other complaints. If that issue becomes nonexistent, then the app can get 5 ⭐️s. 🤷🏾♀️ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Something is wrong with this app. I have tried to login and as soon as I do, the app closes. I have also changed my password to see if that helped, but it didn’t. The same thing happened when I logged in with the new password too. 😕😩
It’s wonderful overall but recently the projected bill option doesn’t work - kicks into a login page then just loads endlessly. Hope it gets fixed! A delete/redownload didn’t fix.
I love being able to see the different ways that I use energy in my home! The new features that MTE recently released help me understand my bill and energy usage better than ever before. Well done MTE!
Haven’t been able to log in to the app for the last month, even though I have my pw auto input and Face ID set up. Great app when I can access it though!
I tried uninstalling and redownloading the app like other have suggested but still cannot log into the app. I have had the app for years and it worked fine, but in the last few months, I cannot log in. This problem is a big deal in the age of “paperless billing” where I must have online access to view and pay my bill.
Decent app, provides a lot of capability to manage your usage and account, but why not add TouchID sign on to make the app amazing. After all, who knows their sign on information for a service you check a few times a year at most.
I am a programmer and this the best utility app by far. If I were to develop this app, this would be the format and information I would provide to the customer. Well done!
I have used this app for over a year and it’s been great. Now I can’t open the app anymore. I put in my name and password, the app flashes my balance for a second, then closes.
Literally what is wrong with this app? It doesn’t work. I have to delete and redownload the app in order to run it, it will only run once upon redownload, then it will bug out and I have to delete and download again.
Ever since we moved to middle Tennessee, we have our electric service through MTE., I have not being able to login to my account for almost a year using this app. The only way I can log into my account is using my desktop website on my computer. I have contacted MTE numerous times about this problem and never got resolved. This app need some serious work, perhaps MTE needs to hire a better app developer to fix this problem. I like doing everything on my phone since I’m always on the go. I’m just glad I have an auto pay in place to pay my bill otherwise I would have trouble paying my bill since I hardly ever use my desktop computer anymore. Please fix this app asap then I can update. There is good potential on this app just need a better developer. I also don’t recall when was the last time this app was updated.
Before MTEMC “upgraded” their app, it worked seamlessly; however, now it is a source of intense frustration. IF you can get through, it’s because you have attempted to log-in innumerable times. Every time I attempt to use this ill-designed and poorly executed piece of technology, I get angry. Oh, and if you try to go their website and pay, it redirects you to the App Store, so you can download this marvelous experience. And yes, I have deleted the app and downloaded it again with the same delightful results. Thanks for nothing MTEMC.
They have somehow made this app even worst. It fails to recognize your face and logs you out randomly, forcing you to sign in the difficult way and change your password. It even deletes your account number from the first block upon completing all three from the “can’t access your account” option. I called to address the issues with the app and my inquiry was immediately dismissed as if it were on my end. In conclusion, this app is the worst.
The app was great and allowed me to track daily usage and payment until recently. Whatever this latest update was supposed to do failed, because now I can’t even sign in through the app anymore.
This app is at presently blocking correct functionality for end-users that disallow Google products on their network. If Firebase logging APIs are blocked this app malfunctions and does not work properly. Tracking and logging are never requirements for proper app functionality and should gracefully operate, rather than break, when a home network is blocking Google privacy infringing logging.
Finally I can see how changes I make have on how much electricity I use on a day to day basis. No reason I can see not to get it and stay on top of your electric bill.
App Won’t let me login power cuts off unexpectedly
The app signs me and randomly and won’t let me sign back in no matter what method I take and that causes me to not know when my balance is low nor do I get notifications of when it’s low like I’m supposed to. This app needs a lot of work has lots of potential
For some reason, the last time I had this app I had no problems. We moved, and didn’t need it anymore, so I deleted it. Moved back, and reinstalled it, and now when I want to sign in, I have to change my password every time. Seems like this has been a problem for a while. I don’t recommend the headache this app causes.
The app was working good for a couple months, then when they had the latest update it wouldn’t let me and several other uses log into the app… please fix this issue
Recently got an iPhone 12 Pro Max and ever since then the app just won’t let me login anymore. It just has a message signing in… please wait. And it just won’t login anymore. It worked great on my old iPhone SE but it’s so inconvenient right now since i can’t login anymore
What’s the point in having an app that doesn’t work AT ALL. I can’t even recover a password or sign in with my account # like it asks for. It’s easy enough to get someone to make a reliable app. I know a 12 year old that can hook you up.
i have had the SAME password for months now . for some reason it kept saying it was wrong so i changed it AND THEN IT PROCEDDED TO TELL ME THAT PASSWORD WAS ALSO INCORRECT . i don’t have time to keep recreating a freaking password because y’all can’t keep up with your app . get it together 👏🏼
I’ve been trying to login for weeks. I finally had to contact the help desk to get me signed in with a new password and the app still won’t let me in. I almost missed my payment
I used to login to the website which was awesome. Now we are forced to use an app that does not work. A montage of error and cannot connect to server messages. Thank goodness I can still pay by phone or I wouldn’t have electricity
Very terrible ! There’s no way to log in! It’s just giving me an error! Whoever wrote this software program needs to go back to school and learn again.
I love how the most recent update says “Minor Bug Fixes”, yet this app will not even let me log into my account. Glad y’all fixed the minor bugs, but fixing the minor ones doesn’t matter when the major ones prevent the entire thing from working. I type in my username and password, and then, I wait indefinitely for it to log me in. Spoiler alert! It never logs me in. The app just crashes. I thought apps were supposed to be a more convenient way to access accounts instead of accessing via the internet. Not this one! Love this app usually because it makes paying my electric bill easy, but I can’t love it when it doesn’t even let me log in! This is the second month in a row MTE!! I will change my review when I can access my account via this app.
