Having tried numerous times on website to update check deposit to new account and never completed, I called NYCERS to find out Google Chrome is best but I don’t have it or want it. They recommended mobile app so I downloaded it and after several attempts to log in, and getting error messages, finally was able to get on. After submitting check info, kept getting error messages to call NYCERS by phone. Tried again few more times before finally getting submitted. Talk about hassles…definitely needs improvement and bugs eliminated.
Please send us an email every time there’s an update. , it drives me crazy to log in and making me think I forgot my password when I did not , but it’s because there’s another upgrade or another app to download. Thanks.
Needed to download my w-2 form and went on the website, after numerous attempts to log in, it says to reset password, it’s says we will send you a new pass word which never comes, at that point I try calling which is another disaster with a 2 hour wait, my advise to NYSERS is if you don’t have enough staff to handle the calls (🤔) then fix your online services so we won’t have to call
This app needs to be updated as it gives error messages and then after ten times it lets you log on . It’s telling me the information is incorrect but I’m sure it’s correct as I wrote it down . I know it’s fairly new but it needs a serious update .
The app is very slow. Registration process send error message for no valid reason. I understand that this is the beginning. I hope to see a full featured app in very near future. Thanks for the initiative.
This app is a joke. I have been trying to register for a year and still haven’t been able to get approved.. I will have to go in person to have someone help with the issues regarding this app. Meanwhile, payment from my check is being made to my retirement account every 2 weeks
The password I use on the website is not accepted on myNYCERS app. Realize now that acceptable password length on app is limited to about 21 characters. Please fix to allow stronger password with longer character length. The website do allow longer password length.
My iPhone isn't Jailbroken or hacked yet I get a message stating "NYCERS shall not allow operations from a rooted/jail-broken device. Mind you, I have an iPhone 11 Pro. I was getting the error message and I deleted and reinstalled the app. That didn't work so I updated to iOS 14 and I'm still having the same issue.
Ive been trying to complete a buyback application for 7 months, and they only now tell me I need a form 321 and that it will take almost 2 years to do it. And who knows what they will say in two years. It’s time to lawyer up.
Something wrong with this App, I am able to get in but access any information , kept on getting error messages to contact NYCERS , contacted. them several times , but tech ever called back , I am still in limbo .
This app deserve a 0 star. First, you can’t register using this app. Second, even if you are registered, you can’t login with the right login info. Lastly, you can’t get any help or whatsoever from anyone at NYCERS about your account registration.
I can view information, but the date picked only lets you select current date, so pointless. If you try to update beneficiaries, the date picker only lets you pick today’s date as birthday, really?
Half the time I get an error message just trying to log in! “Please try again later” Once I am in it is the same error messages over and over again. It’s a complete waste of time.
It freezes. It’s confirmation or verification emails do not arrive, in your inbox, or your spam box, or your junk box - which is where the whole damned app should go, for good. Stay with the website.
I can log in the desktop version, but when I try logging in via the app. an ERROR message stating I’ve tried too many attempts to log in 😂 worthless app.
Filled all the fields on membership app page. Including optional middle name and apartment number. Clicked Continue. After some processing it returns to same page. No explanations, no progress. Not to sable as is. Please fix.
For the amount of money that Nycers spends on management, one would imagine you could have an app that works in largest city in the United States. It is horrible.
The website is designed to lock you out of your account for five days, and not inform you about the lockout. MyNycers will allow you to retrieve your username, but if you want to reset your password, MyNycers will not send you an email. I suspect the lockout is more permanent. Seemingly, your only recourse is to wait over two hours on the phone to provide identifying information to a human being, who may or may not remove the lockout on your account citing the 5-day lockout requirement. I have no idea why they don’t use two-factor verification.
It states my username must be in email format. My username was never in that format. When I attempted to register the system then told me I was already a member and I must contact NYCERS because it locked my account.
You guys got to be kidding me I can login and that’s about it never mind the android version I can’t even download it it tells me my device is not compatible let me know when it’s a useful app and not a joke
