The app is horrible so is the company
I never had more trouble than this company they literally are ridiculously make excuses for things they mess up saying my bank rejected and payment reversed to charge me fees, took 3 years before they send physical card, they send messages saying thanks for the change to receive statements paper and electronically never made that change I had it always to be paperless electronic only because they charge fee for paper statements. Not happening. Definitely working paying them off and shutting down anything to do with them. The nightmare stories on BBB on them to do loans etc they low high risk scam finding ways to get more money or lying to get fees Don’t believe they even in USA. Never get anyone speaks clear understandable English Triggers my stress related illness dealing with them. Dread trying to get on them I didn’t make no changes on how I receive statements delivered. And they won’t get away with charging for paper statements I never authorized to be done.

Confusion when starting with this card
Unlike most other cards, it is very confusing at first. You have to check specific transactions and approve what stores, vendors who sell nicotine or alcohol. I had the same thing happen at a restaurant. Later found out it was because I needed to check the box saying it is ok to use at a merchant who serves over 21 alc. I will say after you set it up. It has worked. I also would strongly recommend not using the offered e-card for purchases prior to receiving the real card, even if it is for a “great discount”. It adds confusion. Almost impossible to call and resolve. Also, with so many merchants being hacked and people being DISHONEST honest, make sure you do not have, unless wanted the box checked for installments or repeated. Or a company who is not honest could bill you as many times as they would like. It is extremely difficult to explain on the phone. Honestly, other then the app issues I am having right now, it has been ok. The set up and issues I had at the beginning were a rough start. I had one merchant attempt to charge over 10 times for a 1 time charge. Thank goodness I had already learned how to prevent this and had my settings to protect myself vs having to call. Overall, it has been good. If you just have the patience to make it through the rough start. Be sure to really read and find the page where you select your specific choices. Very Very Upset
I applied for this card as a subsidy to my bank account for groceries or gas. The customer service is horrible. I had a name change in April and I have had to jump through all these hoops to update my personal information. Now I am locked out of my account. I was told by their generic email server that I have to mail in documentation of my name change. I did. I mailed a cover letter with my updated information as well as a copy of my new drivers license and a copy of my new social security card. They never sent me a new card. And then had the nerve to tell me I had to call to update my email address. I did that today and the person John I spoke to was completely incompetent and useless. So was his "manager". They locked my old card after I told them I needed to go grocery shopping this weekend. I can't wait 7-10 business days for a new card. The idiot John told me to go to another store that takes Apple Pay. Why should I be inconvenienced for their mess ups? The app is horrible too. I can't wait to pay off this card and be done with them.

App is slow and now won’t even open after update
This is one of the most infuriating credit cards I have ever had. I have to literally open the app before making a purchase to ensure my location is available so the charge won’t get declined. Ordering online is next to impossible. And now they released an update yesterday and the app won’t open at all. It keeps stating I need to update the app because the version I have is unsupported. I did update the app, tried force closing it, restarting my phone, but still no luck. Super annoying.

ABSOLUTE WORSE CARD EVER !
My credit line was reduced because I couldn’t access the account to make a payment prior to the due date , I reached out to the card company and after being on hold forever I finally got a representative who took my payment over the phone prior to the due date only to out that the payment was never processed , and I repeatedly had to call back in until it was confirmed that they had actually received my payment. ! And each time afterwards I have been charged a late fee although I have never been late ! I will pay this card off in full within the next few days and never ever return to or recommend them to anyone ever ! Now I can’t even access the card because it says that I have an outdated version of the app, however there isn’t any way to update the app, so I will have to call in again for assistance to completely pay this account off and make certain that it is totally closed !

Works great
The app works great, but loses one star for lack of clear instructions. Most of the reviews here deal with the credit card, which is irrelevant in regards to how the app functions. I will, however, address a few of the complaints I read here. Yes, your available credit will be reduced if your credit score takes a big hit. Most card companies monitor your score and will lower your limit if it drops a lot. And do not set your device as the primary device when setting up this app! It can cause transaction approval issues. Finally, make sure all the app security features are OFF if you are getting declined. The app is just a bit too complicated to not have better instructions. You have to use your brain.

Card is good, app is terrible
Prosper really needs to put a little money into app development. People cannot access the app. When I actually can access the app, I sometimes can’t access my balances! So what do I do? I go to my browser to log in manually and the browser sends me over to the broken app! Thankfully I’m on auto pay so I won’t miss a payment but I was trying to pay down a bit extra today and can’t navigate the app. Frustrating, and not the first time its happened this year either. Please get your app squared away so that people can interface with their credit card. We have entrusted our financial health to you and most of us want to do right and build credit, don’t mess us over with a bad app that causes people to miss payments and drop their credit score.

Bait and switch
I got approved for $1500. Had it less then a month and only used it for three small gas purchases. Paid in full. Got home today and got a message with no explanation given with my credit line being reduced to $500. When I called they said that my credit line was reduced due to delinquency on my credit. I have all my debts paid off and my cars paid off this year. I told them if they wanted to alter the contract so soon after establishing if I couldn’t have confidence they wouldn’t do so further and that I wouldn’t waste my time. I closed my account immediately. A shame because they have a good app. I wanted to do business with them but I’m sure that this is how they trick people to stay with their card. I wouldn’t suggest ever utilizing their services in the future.

What a joke
This card and the company that runs it is a massive joke. I was locked out of my account for a VENDING MACHINE CHARGE!!! They sent me the text message asking if this was fraud and I immediately replied NO this is not fraud and it was me that made the purchase. After getting my food from the vending machine that YOU all allowed me to purchase I was then automatically locked out of my account minutes later. Upon calling customer service and telling them that it was NOT fraud like I did in the text message the first time I was then told that a ticket had to be created and I had to wait 48 hours to use my card. I am now unable to get the gas I had planned on getting after work to get home. I am canceling this childish card and sticking with my REAL capitol one card.

Closed account on day I received card
You know that awful feeling when your card is declined in the checkout… I experienced that day one with this card. Then I got a text saying did you make this purchase. After selecting yes, it said the card was good to use. Declined again. Then a text to call the fraud department. Fraud department couldn’t figure out, so transferred me to customer service… yep, still in the checkout line. Then a man came on that I could not understand. The only thing I understood is you can’t use your card at Walmart for 3 weeks. Say what? Thankfully he understood “close my account”, and I used a more reliable Credit One card to complete my purchase.

Horrible Customer service & accepting payments properly!!
HEADS UP!!! Don’t apply for this card! U’ll be getting some really nasty service from the customer support as much as from the supervisor n not much options on making payments. Oh n is less to say u can’t even access to ur account online to check or make any payments. All u get is excuses after excuses why u can’t access ur account online (we r working on it, try to refresh the website, try login on a later time). N all the reviews r HORRIBLE!!! I should have check the reviews b4 applying for this card. I have other credit cards n never, ever encountered any issues like i have with this card!! SO UPSET 😡😤!!

Can’t update payment method
Changed bank accounts, and have been trying to update my payment method to make a payment on my account and can not do it through the app. Have not heard anything from customer service have waited on hold for nothing. I loved this card up until this and now because I have scheduled payments that I can’t change or update this has negatively effected my credit score this card has the worst customer service. Also have had this card for almost a year made my payments on time and still no credit line increase. I can keep going but this card has horrible customer service.

DON’T OPEN A CARD WITH THIS COMPANY!
This is the CRAZIEST card I’ve ever heard of or had!! Basically, they will decline mostly every purchase you make! They say it’s so no fraud can be done but after you open the card, I began getting weird phone calls. They also want to know where you are any time you want to buy something. Doesn’t matter if you tell them, nine times out of ten your purchase will be declined!! I’m so happy that I didn’t charge much on this card because I’m paying it off QUICKLY and closing it!!! Please don’t be duped by this company!! They seriously aren’t worth your time. There are other cards out there that are MUCH BETTER than this one!!

Terrible access to card and info
I have a prosper card, I also have a card through Capital One and few others, this is the only card that I can’t login on a computer to see and change my info to my card, I have to use the app. Fine that’s great except the one thing I need to change which is most important information of all is how are you gonna pay your BILL! I CANT CHANGE MY DANG BANK INFORMATION through the app. This is the most infuriating thing in the world. And since I can’t access the information on a computer I have to call. WHY? I should be able to change my own bank info to pay my card.

Interest Rate
So I pay $100 a month on a $1150 balance and only $70 is good and the other $30 interest charges oh wow card gives good service but interest rate kills you I can only imagine if I paid the minimum which is $40 so that means only $10 is my real payment this is a ouch for me ask to change my payment date to a week later I am told that’s not available hard business to have credit with By the way thanks Prosper

Non functioning app and website
I paid off my account and now cannot access anything either on app or on website. It looks like the app was recently updated. However when I try to open it states that “This version of the app is no longer supported”. I uninstalled and reinstalled app and same thing. This is beyond frustrating. No problems removing money from my account but can’t get a functioning app. I will be keeping this card solely to keep credit utilization low but will only be making purchases on cards with a reliable track record.

Supposed to help build credit but it’s horrible
Horrible for credit building…. I have an 1100 balance and I pay 100 a month but they are charging 36$ in interest PLUS MAINTENANCE FEE!!! I had auto pay initially for the minimum but while looking at statements realized it was taking away my payment just by the interest alone and maintenance fee!! So pretty much my balance was getting higher without realizing! As soon as I pay this off I’m closing account. Granted they are great with upping your credit limit, but this is only a good card if you plan off paying off full balance each month.

Worst credit card ever!
they put charge on my credit card before I even received in my physical address. It been over then business days and I called customer service to see where’s my card at, but they said that my card has been already activated and used by someone. I filed dispute with fraud department 3 times through out the month because first 2 times they customer service with Indian accents never reported my my disputes. My credit score dropped for 20 pints because of the charge I never made. Stay away from them!!!!

Ditch the app use the website on a computer!! The app is horrible. You cannot complete basic functions and customer service is useless. However I found that using the website on my computer works much better and I was able to update my auto-pay without jumping through hoops with customer service!

Most difficult app.
I have never had so much trouble with an app while trying to make a payment. The app. tells you to specify a card and then tells you to go to “manage card payment “ there is no such thing on the app. It’s so frustrating. I also called Prosper because my statement says I have a payment due soon. The app says zero due and so did the representative. Very confusing app/company.

Worse credit card EVER!
If you enjoy having your pay channels cancelled (Max, Starz, Paramount +) when the monthly payment is due, or ANY membership like Walmart+ because the transaction was “declined for possible fraud” then by all means, THIS IS THE CARD FOR YOU!! I have quickly learned that this is NOT the card for me, but since we’re penalized for closing accounts I’m stuck holding onto this useless excuse for a credit card…account. I took great pleasure in cutting the card into pieces & throwing it in the trash where it belongs!! Balance will be paid ASAP.

Find another card
I first got this card to help repair my credit. I have never missed a payment but they randomly lower your available spend! Yes, LOWER! When I called to see why it was lowered the rep said because of delinquency. Here’s the thing, I have NEVER missed a payment and had literally just paid my balance off in full! So instead of helping build my credit, they just keep hitting me by reducing my availability. It’s one of my oldest open trades so I’m not going to cancel but I will never use this card again.

I hate their app. It seems that every month I make a payment I can’t get information off the app. It’s frustrating. They send me the same email every time but it still happens. I hate this app. Customer service is crazy. Heavy accent and rapid talking makes hard (I am hearing impaired) for me to understand them. I think they read from a script. Fix the app please
My app is not working and when I go to the website to pay my bill, it just keep loading. I appreciate the credit line but you have to do something about the app. I don’t wanna go put my routing and account number to automatic service to have to pay my bill every month, I’call customer service. They said that there is no problem but obviously it is because I’m not able to pay my bill through the mobile app you need to fix.

Horrible
The app updated about 21 hours ago now the app longer works. It’s in a consistent loop saying that you need to update the app when it goes to the App Store there is not an update link just an open link and goes right back to the loop telling me you need to update the app. I have deleted the app, reinstall the app still doesn’t work, and when you click the customer service link in the app, it says that the page is not found, come on guys you gotta do better.

I have had a credit card with them for 6 months and already I’m on my 3 rd card because they keep saying that my card is lost or stolen. But it’s not! It’s so frustrating!!! I feel like I’m on the phone with them constantly because they are always screwing up!! It’s so unbelievable!!!! Such a headache since the day I opened this account! So they dream my card lost or stolen but I have the card then they cancel the account and I have to wait 2 weeks for a new card. So crazy!!!!

Prosper app is worthless
After trying multiple times to get into my mobile app for Prosper, I just gave up. I called and got someone that sounded maybe Chinese or Filipino or something, certainly not an American employee, and they were worthless. barely understand his speech. He tried to tell me to download another Prosper app, which there is none to download. As soon as I pay it off which is going to be very soon, I will be closing this ridiculous little card.

Pay your Prosper card and loans off and close your accounts with this company. Nothing but issues from app development all the way to transaction processing and customer service. Every single transaction I make, it restricts my account and locks my card before they even send out the verification email lol No, it isn't a "security settings" issue because I have absolutely none on my account. Can’t see my balances
Prosper card representatives are quick to pester you with phone calls when you own them money. But when it is time to deliver, they’re incapable of providing good services. I wanted to make a payement in advance, but it is been 20 minutes since I have logged in and my balance hasn’t shown up, yet. Once I finish paying my due, I don’t want to hear from you again. I will close my account and we can’t go our separate way.

App continues to crash when I try to add a second bank account for payments. Same thing on the website. It’s annoying how I can only get one account on there and to make the payment I can only use one account and have to transfer funds more frequently on my end before I can make a payment

I can’t log into my account
Every time I open the app and tells me there’s been an update and to download the update in the App Store. I go to the App Store and there is no update to download. I try to login from the website and it sends me back to the app for the app to give me the message that I have to go download the update. I have deleted the app and re-downloaded it and still cannot do anything. So now I cannot look at my account at all

Super Bad Fraud Service
DO NOT USE their services. Been disputing a fraud charge for literally 4 months. In the first month they determined my case was indeed fraud but has not updated my account. Still reflects a high balance that I’m forced to pay interest on until they can resolve the issue. They have no real updates and continuously promise someone will reach out to me but I never receive communication. The problem is clearly on their end but I’m held responsible. Terrible

Forced app download
I had this app on my phone until it was removed without my doing anything. I just wanted to view my balance and was not interested in redownloading the app. The App Store automatically opens when you try to log in using safari. That is something only scammers and adult content sites do. I don’t know why Apple even allows unwanted App Store launches. I plan to close my account now. Sketchy!

Love the card but app is trash
At first I didn’t have an issue with being able to log in but for months the app will not open for me and keeps asking me to change my password. When I try to do that the save button to continue doesn’t work. Tried online as well and it’s the same thing. I even have the Face ID set up but it still doesn’t let me log in anymore.

Mobile app doesn’t work
I was proof for the prosper card downloaded the app it kept saying the app was out of version. Please download new version it kept sending me back saying I needed to download new version of app. I was also supposed to have my card between 26th of February and 29th of February here it is almost March 2 and it still has not arrived. So far nothing but bad luck with this company

It takes you to current app that is on your phone and there is no updated app. Tried logging in online and it send me to app. The app support link says page not found. Update After sending an email advising them of the issue. I received an email asking for screenshots. Hours later an update was provided and fixed the issue. I have added stats to my review

Terrible Card
I wanted to use this card for Apple purchases on my phone and gas. The card declines every purchase until I manually approve them. Very annoying when you're physically at a gas station. I've called customer service and the fraud department multiple times and they promise it won't happen again. Happens EVERY transaction. Worst card I've had in my life.

Not good first impression
Can’t even verify my email address. Keeps sending invalid codes. I’m pretty nervous to even use this card. Also says that you can access half of your credit line instantly but customer service said to wait three days. Would like to review the app itself if it would let me login

This app is awful. I’ve been trying to make a payment to my card because I went paperless and every time I login it says wrong password so I’ve changed the password multiple times says it was successful. Go back in and try to login again nope doesn’t work do not get this app.

Trying to log into the app to pay my bill and it says a newer version needs to be used but there is NO new version available. Try to log in via the website and it takes you back to the app that doesn’t work.

STAY AWAY!!!
They approve bad credit and lie about doubling the credit limit just to lure you in. Then if you don’t pay the full amount like how others say the “ interest rate” takes the most of the payment. They only report if you use more than 25% so many months you’re out of luck.

Can’t open the app
When I try to open the app, I’m told that I need to download the newest version which I already have. This alert keeps me from logging in to pay my bill which I will now pay charged a late for. I will be contacting support to discuss this issue further

My limit was reduced because I missed a payment!! I missed a payment because I couldn’t get on the website to pay!!!!!! Soon as I can get on, I will pay off my balance and cancel card!!! This is supposed to help your credit, not destroy it because you can’t get your app together!!!!

Pure Garbage App
I have never wanted to delete an app so badly. When I try to sign into the website it automatically redirects to this app that I can NEVER get into. It doesn’t save both login and password like other apps. When I type in the password, unsuccessfully. I hate this app with great passion.

They approved me for 1800 then lowered it to 900 before I even got the card I figured if that’s what they do before you even get the card just think how bad they’re going to be after you get the card you just can’t do that,that’s bad business.
