EDIT: bug fix / developer response helped! Very happy with app. One suggestion: would love to be able to keep app sound open in the background. I’ll update this review as soon as this bug is fixed, as I’m otherwise very pleased with the app. Currently with the 1.1.33 version, when attempting to use the live camera view — “Camera” in the app — it gets stuck on the blue loading page (with the bouncing ellipses) for no rhyme or reason, and no there’s nothing wrong with my internet connection. Occasionally I can close / re-open or double tap “Camera” which will open up the live video, but otherwise the loading page can get stuck for hours. I prefer to use my phone over the actual Vtech hardware because it’s more convenient, so please, please fix the iOS software!
App ok enough for live viewing, awful for Recent motion captures
App is fine to view live, a little choppy sometimes but does well enough that if parent unit ran out of battery I can still watch the baby. However when attempting to watch the “Recents” motion detected video clips, at least 90% of the time the video fails to load. You can’t tell if kiddo is actually waking up or if a curtain simply fluttered, and the app is complete junk trying to restart it or getting the video to load. Edit after company response: I don’t know how it’s possible, but the reset actually made it worse. Instead of it not working 90% of the time, it doesn’t open at all- just displays a black screen for several minutes before declaring “failed to load video”. There is no way to reset factory settings on the parent unit so I deleted the camera in the app and removed the parent unit off my wifi. After reconnecting the parent unit to the wifi, I added the camera as a “new camera”. I lost all of my saved memories in the app and magically the app now performs worse. One star review stands, if not even moreso. Several months later, several updates later… still the same terrible issues with viewing “Recents”. You can watch maybe 1-2 clips before the app glitches and shows a black screen with “failed to retrieve video”.
I have been using this app for the last 9 months. Most of the time it works great, I do like the recording feature of motion detection but I wish you could save the videos. My app however has a lot of glitches where it won’t load the monitor and sits for 5 minutes just trying to load, meanwhile my husband is right next to me and his app loads everything just fine, same network so I don’t get the problem. I will restart my phone and it doesn’t help, all of a sudden it just starts working again. Lately I’ve also had problems with my app/monitor saying it’s offline throughout the night when I’m sleeping. How is it supposed to notify me that my baby is awake if I have to refresh the screen? Also since the last update my video recording of the motion detection is no longer working. It still notifies me that the motion was detected but there are no videos listed. It’s not a bad system but definitely has some bugs. Update: I was told to restart my router and unplug/replug the monitor to reboot that as well. I tried it and the motion detection recording still doesn’t work.
Bought March ‘23. This camera/app worked great for about a year and now nothing. The new updates were horrible and made things worse. Picture on app went from clear to fuzzy like the camera couldn’t focus. Now it will ONLY work during the day (night mode off) if there is light in the room. At night this camera is now pointless even if night mode is on. I’ve even tried turn the light on the camera on which works, but does no difference in being able to see our baby. When we turn night mode on we can see our baby for about 30 seconds and the monitor slowly fades the feed away to a black screen. Before this we also notice when opening the app we would have to close it and reopen it to see the live feed. It would never work on the first try. Any help to fix this would be appreciated. Really don’t feel like tossing this just to go by another one..baby monitors aren’t cheap.
UPDATE: new Monitor from feb 2023 completely stopped working, called VTech they couldn’t figure it out so sent me another RMA email to fill out with serial number, I filled it out and sent it back June 7th, still have yet to hear back (June 21st) and have sent 4 follow up emails. This is legit the absolute worst company and will never buy anything vtech again. You’d think for the price their products would at least work for a year. Stay FAR AWAY. I recently changed over from the owlet camera to this so I could have the parent monitor since the owlet was only phone app access. I loved the monitor at first until the motion and sound detection recordings stopped working. Called customer service they sent me a new one and claimed they have no idea why it would have stopped working. All was good until about 2 months later the new one they sent me had the same issue with the sound and motion recordings not working yet again. This is absolutely ridiculous for the amount of money we are paying for this camera. Stay far away from this, I will be telling any new parents to stay away from it as well.
The app is nice in that I can watch both of my kids at once and move the camera around the see them. Some suggestions I have for improvements: - there doesn’t seem to be a way to get sound notifications only. You either get both sound and motion notifications or nothing. I have a busy toddler so I get 100 motion notifications, but it rarely means he needs my attention overnight. I would like to know if he was crying or calling my name via a sound notification. Occasionally I walk around the house and don’t carry the monitor with me, so these phone notifications would be helpful. - it would be nice if there was just a picture snapshot when there was a motion event instead of a full video each time a movement was detected. I don’t have time to sit and watch a million videos to see when my child was up through out the night or if he lost his pacifiers and I need to go in the retrieve them. Some of these improvements would really help busy moms!
The app is not launching on iOS 18… any idea? It was actually failing before too so I updated my OS, and it’s still failing. I deleted the app and reinstalled it after the update too. Upon launching, it prompted for some notifications but never really fully launched its UI to login. Now it just crashes immediately upon launch. It won’t even load the login page. My husband hasn’t yet updated to iOS 18, and his is still working so I’ve been using his phone. Please help! Otherwise, 5 stars because before this, it was working flawlessly (even if you switch WiFi’s or go to different houses ect), and it’s really a clear resolution.
Edit: I was able to restore my access on Monday afternoon. I can appreciate that you had an outage but please notify customers in some way, shape, or form. The app is working wonderfully as before and all the old footage that I thought I lost has been restored. I’ve been using this app with no issue since my baby was born a year ago. Last week I updated the app and the app suddenly was not recording movements or live events. Today whenever I tried to open the app it would crash so I deleted it and reinstalled it and turned my phone on and off and now it won’t log me in but allows me to reset my password. I’ll reset the password everything looks good and it tells me the email password or country/region is wrong. This has been very frustrating
I have loved this app and have used it for almost a year with the monitor. Unfortunately, this past week and a half it has logged me out almost every day and disconnected me. It puts me in a panic when I don’t realize it until I need the light to cut off before I put my baby in the crib or he will wake up once it hits his face. If this gets fixed I’d love to put it at 5 stars, unfortunately it’s been causing issues to have to type everything in, wait for it to buffer and change the settings while holding a sleeping baby that needs to be put in the crib. The only other issue I have had every now and then is sometimes it won’t connect to the camera no matter how many times I refresh and the camera is on and the Wi-Fi is connected. This has always happened but not frequent enough for it to be a big problem.
I’ve had these cameras over 8 months now and I’ve got to say it’s convenient at times. I love being able to walk into another room and be busy and still watch my babe. The audio has a delay but that’s expected. Sounds clear enough through the little screen. Overtime I’ve noticed the video getting ng more glitchy and slow. Not terribly big deal. The BIG DEAL is that it doesn’t allow you to go back and watch old videos sometimes. Conveniently when something bad happens. It’s motion activated and will save videos when it catches movement but what’s the pin rod that when I can’t go back and watch? My daughter fell out of our bed and we’re unsure how because she owent know how to move, roll, or crawl. so we went back to see that we couldn’t even watch it! Not one video. How pointless and inconvenient. I would never recommend these cameras to anyone just for that reason.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the motion recording issue on your VTech camera and app. To address this, we recommend a firmware upgrade that requires a manual power reset on the camera unit. Once the reset is done, the latest firmware version Rmxx4 US-4.0.5.5 EU&UK-4.2.5.5 / VM901C US-4.0.4.3 UK&EU-4.2.4.4 AU-4.1.4.3 / RM7767 UK-4.2.1.5 will resolve the issue with event recording. However, if the motion recordings still don't function properly, rest assured that we are working on another fix and appreciate your patience. Update: toggle is on for notifications and I have my parent unit on as well for motion detection. This is my sending camera system. Technically a replacement from the last time you guys recommended restarting my parent hub. I was without a camera for a month. I’m blind and need this for my baby. I just want actual help and not some best around the bush lecture on how to destroy my unit. It’s worked five before but after cleaning my recents out none have been recorded anymore.
I don’t understand how a tech company can make a truly awful and borderline worthless app but Vtech has succeeded with flying colors. I know it is nothing on our end because literally everything else connects virtually instantly. Not Vtech though. If it connects it usually takes about a minute. I know because I have times it many times. Most of the time it just times out and tell me to refresh. Nothing makes the problem better. Reset the monitor, reset the router, delete app and reinstall. Tried all of those. UPDATE: Vtech replied with tips. Their advice “unplug it and plug it back in”. This did absolutely nothing. Just like it did nothing the other times I tried it. And now after the latest update the app won’t connect at all. It tells me to update to the latest version. But I’m already on the latest version. With a second child on the way we will be buying something that works because this does not.
Love the app. It keeps improving over time! I would only add that the volume buttons on the side of the phone don’t quite work as most other apps. If I want to mute the sound on the camera, I was expecting to hit the volume down button on my phone to lower the volume to off. However, after doing that I still heard sound, I had to tap the screen to mute the sound. Minor inconvenience. I jus ground it happening when it was the middle of the night and I was attempting to check in on the cameras and happened to wake my wife up. Not the end of the world, just a thought. Keep up the great work!
When we first started using the app 2 years ago it was tough because it kept crashing and logging us out multiple times per week. However, with recent updates and bug fixes it’s gotten a lot better. My favorite part is the picture pop out so that I can be on my phone doing other things but also watch or listen to the monitor!! Only thing is that the last week the app has been crashing when in pop out mode… I’m not sure why but I’ll have it popped out to do other things on my phone and within a few min it crashes, it doesn’t always happen but usually a few times before it stays open. Hopefully this bug is fixed as well soon!
I have been using this app for almost a year now and it has been great! I loved getting notifications to my phone and being able to check it from anywhere in the house. However, after the most recent update, I was logged out. I tried re-entering my info and it told me it was wrong, so I tried “forgot password”. Then it told me that my email was not associated with an account. At that point, I tried to make a new account, but it keeps telling me that either my email, password, or location is wrong. Not sure how they can be wrong when I literally don’t have an account anymore. Very frustrating because I can’t use the app to check the monitor anymore.
THIS IS HOW YOU FIX THE PROBLEM EVERYONE IS HAVING ( from the wife of an IT genius , he fixed it easy ) make sure the tablet is ON , let it connect the entire system back if it stops working on the app. Log off your app , unplug the camera , turn on the tablet , plug the camera back in , log back into your app. Give it a min or two to all connect back together. Whalaaa , thank me later. Seems like the tech people for the app don’t know how to actually fix it. The tablet just has to be on and connected every once in awhile at least. Hope it helps y’all. The phone app itself shows a clear picture with non moving objects, however it can sometimes be very slow to open the camera stream to actually see the baby. Quality of clarity goes down drastically on camera when watching a moving Snoo. The lag in general is a slow and it disconnects from the monitor more times then we would like. The battery life isn’t the best so we had to buy more chargers to put around the house to have the monitor plugged in all the time. Once we changed to a regular crib, the clarity was significantly better, however there’s a loud “click” from the switching of the lenses (dark to/from light) every time the lights change.
At first, the 2 cameras we bought worked fine. We connected them to our phones for convenience and bigger picture. Slowly they just stopped connecting to our phones. Will not connect. Literally “offline” all the time. But the alerts for sound and motion continued to go off on our phones, even though we couldn’t see anything and weren’t online. I stopped using our phones tonight and went back to the teeny tiny monitors with the teeny tiny screens. I can barely see the room or my mom now (elderly with advanced Alzheimer’s). And, the quality of the picture on both the phones and the monitors is usually horrible. Fuzzy and distorted. So you really can’t see what’s happening. We will be looking for some regular cameras and attempting to sell these and recoup at least some of our money. 👎🏻👎🏻
Normally love this product and would recommend other than when it updates. They update to fix things and make it better but end up kicking everyone out and now this last update kicked me out, didn’t recognize my emails or password, wouldn’t let me change the password and wouldn’t let me make a new account. I eventually found the modem that comes with it and the cord to use but updates are supposed to help not hurt the system more… I need to be able to watch my child at night. Other than that this product is great and I love that you can watch from anywhere on your phone. Great when I’m at work and want to change on nap time or know when he is in his room during the day.
My parent’s minds are blown away that they didn’t have this in the 90’s while raising me + my siblings. From the motion sensor alerts, HD live streaming, adjustable color + sounds for the sleep profile, this really gives me ease of mind and takes some of the nap time prep out of my hands. While I’m away at work, I can still see baby wake up for the day, which is fulfilling. I like the video recording feature as well. Probably a good idea to limit it to 3 minutes or my camera roll would be full. My only pet peeve is that the function to talk through my phone through the camera speaker, it seems exceptionally quiet. Not sure if this is an issue with my phone, the app, or the camera’s built-in speaker. Not like I really use that feature all that often but sometimes it’s nice to talk to mom while she’s with baby. The ambient sounds play through with plenty of undistorted sound. Some of them have VERY noticeable interruptions when the audio loops.
I am incredibly frustrated with this app. Although it has great features, I have noticed in the 15 months that I’ve been using it that it will kick me out of the app (it’s done this at least four or five times) and when I try to log back in, it says that my password is incorrect. I have tried to reset the password multiple times, and it still shows the same message despite telling me that I have successfully changed the password. It’s so bad, that I have actually had to create a new account with another email address. Now, I am in the same situation, and unable to log into the app to see my baby on the monitor. This is so incredibly frustrating!
I have been using this app for 2 years and it’s been great! Up until yesterday.. For some reason the app logged me out and I was unable to log in. Even with all the correct info it wouldn’t allow me to log in. I couldn’t even go though the “forgot password” settings. I even tried to create a new account with my other email and that was unsuccessful as well. I was still getting notifications but was not logged in.. I ended up having to delete the app completely and then reinstall it. After that, I was able to log in using the same info I was using the day prior. Hopefully it’ll stay logged in now. Up until the recent update I’ve had no problems.
I got a vtech monitor as a baby shower gift and we tucked it away and didn’t think about it until it was time to move baby into his own room. Kept the Nanit in the big baby play area and set up the Vtech in his room. It has absolutely exceeded our expectations and then some. The app works really really well. The temperature notification it has is what told me, while we were both at work, that our AC had apparently gone out. Just knowing that let me get on the phone with an HVAC guy before noon and by the time I got off work he was on his way to my house. Great app
I have been using the Vtech monitor for just a little over two years. Overall love the monitor and the app. Connectivity most of the time is seamless. I ba e had to completely delete the camera from the app and reload them In order to work. My biggest concern is the notifications. They pop up right in the middle of the screen which is where most people would position their child in the monitor view. Therefore when the motion or sound notifications pop up, it is blocking the view of the child. I highly recommend the move the notification icons anywhere but in the middle of the monitor window.
I actually love this monitor and app combo. My favorite features are the recording option for movement and sound detection, the real time notifications, and the ability to look back at past notifications/recordings. Seriously love! All of the features I love are currently not functioning at all 😞. I can still see real time in the app what I would see on the monitor. That’s about it though. So, since I don’t get the notifications, I’m constantly reopening the app to look for updates. The last 2 of my favorites are simply bc I like looking back at funny moments 😂. One day I fell in there and I really wanted to see it again, ya know relive the moment so to speak? Hope that last bit brightens your day lol *baby pro feel free to delete I just wanted to say I love the app but it ain’t working right now haha.
Parent monitor always works well, but we could not use the mobile feature for half a year. My fix: I uninstalled the app, turned off and then unplugged both cameras, then forgot the wifi network on the parent monitor. I went and then reconnected the parent monitor to WiFi and updated the security token. Then forgotten wifi network and reconnected. I then plugged in both cameras, installed the app and logged back in and connected to the cameras. Working great now. Was always an amazing product when it works. Would be 5 stars if it wasn’t broken for so long and had this ridiculous troubleshoot to fix
Never once had any problems with this app until recently. Lately, I’ve noticed extremely slow response in live video feed and painfully low video quality (until at least a couple minutes later when it finally settles in). The slow live feed is what has really triggered me. I have to close the app completely and get back in, sometimes more than once, because the feedback is extremely slow. Aside from that big annoyance, I don’t mind the app! I will say, I’ve never noticed any delayed feedback on the monitor so this is solely an app issue!!
We have been using this monitor for almost a year. I have loved being able to take pictures and videos of my baby in her crib. It was also great because we loved being able to peak in when not home. However, in an update back in October or November, the motion detection stopped working on the app, so it always says that everything is calm. We have tried restarting the cameras, restarting the router, and no luck. And lately, I’ve had trouble even being able to use the app to see the monitors. The whole purpose of this model is being able to use the app, and it doesn’t always load. :(
I’ve had this camera/app for over a year now. In the beginning, it was great- it did everything it said can do. I don’t know if it’s from a recent update or what, but this is worth mentioning since I saw another review experience the same issues as me. My movement & sound notifications aren’t initiating the video recordings. I don’t have any recordings. Also, the screen has a larger picture with a sort of zoomed in picture inside. It’s hard to explain, but it makes it very hard to see my baby. Another thing I think could use improvement is the ability to talk on the parent unit to your baby. There’s a major delay and you can barely understand what someone is saying. For example, when I’m trying to talk to my husband in my baby’s room, he can only hear the last part of the sentence and it’s difficult to understand. I could live with the janky voice to camera not working, but the movement/sound recordings and the picture is really frustrating. Like I said, it worked great initially. Now, not so much.
I have been using the app on my phone with the same account for 2.5 years and today it logged me out and won’t let me log back in. I tried resetting my password and it didn’t work, I waited 8 hours and tried to log in again and it wouldn’t work so I tried resetting the password again and it told me I don’t have an account anymore. I tried creating an account with a different email and it told me my password was wrong and didn’t even let me create an account. I tried creating a new account with my original email and it did the same thing. Tried to get to the website to contact their customer service and the website wouldn’t load. So incredibly frustrating.
We had to reconnect our camera to this app and now suddenly there are no notifications being pushed the my phone. I have spent HOURS over the last few days resetting the parent unit, the baby unit, uninstalling the app, reinstalling the app, toggling off and on notification settings on my phone and NOTHING fixes the notification problem. The biggest selling point for us on this camera was the ability to get notifications by phone (home or not) and now that doesn’t work. If I’m not carrying the parent unit around with me, I have no idea if my baby is fussy or moving. I look at other reviews and see that the developer just gives instructions on how to reset as a “fix” to any presented problem. But the reset(s) doesn’t fix it. So now what?
I have had my vtech baby monitor for over two years and the parent monitor just stopped working so I decided to just use the app so I don’t have to buy a new system. One of the cameras doesn’t work at all anymore, and now when using the app I can’t save any of the video recordings and there isn’t an option to save the motion recordings either. I will go into the app and sometimes it won’t work at all, or it’s logged me out and so I have to log back in. Sometimes the camera doesn’t connect to the app so I can’t even watch my daughter while she sleeps. Just overall disappointing because I wanted to parent unit and the option for WiFi enabled monitoring.
Been using this camera approximately 5 months now. Video quality is great on phone and handheld monitor. The most recent app update is nice. Our only complaint is only one phone can connect to the video stream at a time. If my husband tries to pair his phone, it boots me off the app connection and vice versa. There should be a fix for this issue and will ultimately be the reason we stop using this Camera if there’s not a fix to it (a few other camera monitors we’ve used with all access for our other children did NOT have this issue).
My wife and I have had this monitor for almost two years now and I have never had an issue until recently. We both used to be able to get in to the app and see the feed but now she has issues getting in the feed and I am completely locked out. Even though we are using the same login information it is not allowing me to view the feed. I am not sure what they did with the update recently but not happy with it. Please fix so I can log in. I’m not even able to log in now. It is saying my password and region are incorrect. Yet it is the same log in my wife is using.
We have been using VTech cameras in our daughter’s room for at least 13 months now, one stopped loading on the app all together and now the second one is doing the same thing. We have high speed wifi, it’s pulled in an active, but the app takes forever to load cameras sometimes upto 5 minutes before timing out. A good majority of playback never load, replay doesn’t activate and while I am at work and she’s with her dad her camera never allows me to view her. The “speak to me” option doesn’t work most times and finally… it keeps bugging out and saying “reconnecting to a secure network” when the network never goes down.
I’ve been using this for over a year with no issues at all until this last update. I continually have to unplug the camera to reset it because it continually is off-line. once I reset it it last for an hour or two, and then it’s off-line again. there’s no doubt in my mind that it has something to do with this last update because I never had any of these issues prior too I have reset my Wi-Fi multiple times thinking that could be an issue but it’s not the issue. I had to throw the device away and buy something different.
The app has ALWAYS been glitchy. I regularly need to close the app and reload it just to get basic functions to work. But a couple days ago the app logged me out and won’t let me back in. When I enter my login & password it tells me my login, password or region is incorrect. Tried to make a brand new account and I get the same error message (which obviously makes no sense when i’m in the process of creating an account). Now I need to log into a different ipad based baby monitor app and set it up to watch the parent unit screen in my home so I can see my cameras while away. But of course this method doesn’t allow me the benefits of the app - motion alerts, motion recordings, zoom, changing camera angle, etc.
This app is terrible. Created an account. Told me I didn’t have an account. Created another account and while trying to sign up it said my email was incorrect. This is all after using the app for months. Finally was able to create an account and get to the verify email page. Never got it. Clicked resend and it said my account was blocked. I’ve had the app and an account and was able to view my camera for almost a year before all this. Now I’m unable to use this feature. You’d think after spending hundreds of dollars on a camera the app would somewhat function. The camera works great with the wireless station but I wouldn’t buy it again simply because of the app alone.
I had the camera for our first baby and it was a hassle connecting the camera to the phones and the parent unit. The camera disconnects all of the time and takes a long time to get back online. The app is useless. Bought a second camera for our second baby and we’ve had nothing but issues. The app doesn’t even show us the motion of the baby moving. Now the camera stopped working. Can not connect to our phones or parent unit. It says it needs an update to continue working but you can’t update it because the security key is unsuccessful. And according to the website you can’t fix that. I don’t recommend this camera or app at all. Highly disappointed with our purchase.
My app will not let me login to my account, i use my email and password and select the region and it tells me that one of those is wrong but I know its not. So just to make sure that maybe someone tried to reset my password I tried to reset it but then it gives me a message saying that my email doesn’t have an account with the app. I look into my email and i have emails from vtech from the email I put in. I’m constantly having to battle with the app and it’s getting really frustrating
I find it very frustrating that I cannot save motion alert videos that are in the app! I understand them not saving after the camera has been turned off, but I should be able to save any videos it is holding in the cloud to my phone before the camera is turned off. Otherwise, camera and base seem to work well so far. Base has enough battery life to run at least all night without being plugged in and connection from the backyard (if needed) seems to stay connected as well.
The app has been fine since I’ve had it. They recently updated the app and since then, it’s having trouble connecting to the cameras. It will load both cameras and say it failed and the camera is offline. However the cameras are online and they work fine on the monitor. I keep the monitor at my bedside for night time so I know they’re safe but I use my phone during the day for naps and it will not load anything on my phone. I’ve closed the app and have shut my phone off and back on with no luck.
I do like this baby monitor a lot. The app on my phone is very convenient. I really like that I can check on my baby even when I am at work. It has some cool features like being able to talk to your baby through the camera, it plays music, and the app lets you track all your baby’s milestones with a checklist. You can take pictures and record video. Pretty awesome. I will say that it does freeze quite a bit and I have very good internet. That’s my only complaint though.
The app doesn’t work most of the time. I have to keep refreshing, and it takes minutes to load feed from cameras. All my other smart devices (including security cameras) work perfectly. Lately, the app have been kicking me out at night and not letting me sign in. It keeps saying “Your email, password or selected region is incorrect” which I know is not true. Also, the app security is quite poor: if you try an email that’s not signed up, it says that it doesn’t have an account instead of directing the user to password reset where the user would receive instructions only if they do actually have an account. This is a well-known security vulnerability.
App now launches to a “log in screen”, I updated to the newest version and it remains. I’m unable to create an account, it says one of the pieces of information I’ve entered is incorrect. However this is to set up a new account. So what could be incorrect? When I try to log in or forget password it says my email doesn’t exist and I don’t have an account. So I can’t use the app, I can’t log in or create a new account. I’ve also tried to get support on the vtech site and can’t find answers. I understand glitches happen, but this is impacting my ability as a parent to monitor my 5 month old baby. These glitches are compromising my ability to safely monitor my baby. I hope this is resolved asap.
We’ve been using this camera for a while now. Everything has been working fine. But during one of the last updates we’ve been having to repair the camera to our phone constantly. It’s extremely annoying especially when you are not home and can’t look in to see how your child is doing. Updated: Even after the update to the app we are still experiencing the same issue. When my wife pairs the camera to her phone it will kick me out. And if I repair the camera to my phone it will kick her out. This didn’t happen when we first got the system. Please fix it!!!
The app is so buggy. It often doesn’t connect to the camera, even though the parent unit will. Sometimes I find the magic combination of clicks that will make it connect, but it is never connected when I open it. It will load and load and load. I can see from other reviews that this is a common problem, but rather than fixing the app, they keep telling people it’s their wifi. Also, if I try to take a photo within the app, it crashes. It’s astonishingly difficult to use this monitor and app and there are few resources online. Very disappointed.
I’ve had this system for 2 years and it’s consistently been glitchy and unreliable. The app doesn’t always load, often having to force close and reopen 2-3 times before it shows the image. The memories/history clips often don’t load, or a few will open and then the rest will not. The history clips also do not show previews so you have to open every single one and they only capture about 10 seconds per clip, and it only saves about 20 clips. Overall this app is extremely lacking. It’s like the MySpace of baby monitors - trying to remain relevant, but still stuck in the early 2000s.
Does not connect to phone. This is my 3rd monitor and camera setting.
App doesn’t send emails to verify your account or set up on your phone. I’ve had an account for 2 years. Worked fine. It booted me over 24 hours ago and won’t let me confirm or set up a new account. Called customer service and they were no help. I asked if I could speak to someone else. It was a no go. They talked over me and would not help trouble shoot the problem. It was stated that my phone needed to update but the App Store showed I had the newest version….. nI fact customer service stated that I had the current version but had to wait to update to the current version… It was all very confusing.
I have been successfully using this app since June of 2023. Suddenly today there was an update, it logged me out, and it no longer recognizes my email address or password or location when I try to login. I’ve tried every combination of passwords possible. Finally I went to reset my password using the email that I got the welcome email sent to, and it says that no account exists under that email. This is very frustrating since my baby has a fever and I need to be monitoring him and I cannot do it on my phone.
