The brain gym is fun because I like puzzles. However, the script says it will assess your ability to identify, visualize and scan, but as I understand it’s more about speed. I have over and over for weeks in the same level because the tiles are there, I can visualize the tile, recognize the match by scanning but the board won’t let go of those particular tiles. Why do they hold up half the board and give me a low score over and over. My dissatisfaction is in when I have cleared the board (say 3.4) and it promotes me to 4.0 if I’m not fast in this new area, it sends me back to the previous level. How is a person supposed to learn something new when not given the chance. For example. If I’m in grade 1 and I aced my class and is promoted to grade 2 and don’t catch on instantly I get sent back to grade 1? I would never graduate from school. Nor learn anything new. That’s your logic? I should be allowed to stay on the same tier until I get it. I’m 66 yrs old not 16. This process means to test me as stupid. Fix that in your next version please. It’s frustrating to me.
The app keeps telling me I have no Internet connection
I purchased neuriva today and downloaded the app. When I try to log on using a password that I created for shiffs vitamins i am able to log in , it askes if i read privacy etc ,asks my sex, and then suddenly pops up with the screen that I have no Internet connection. It did this also with my iPad. I assure you I do have an Internet connection otherwise you would not be receiving this email. I am using an iPhone ex S max iOS version 12.2 on both my iPhone and iPad. Please advise I contacted the company and the developers regarding the issue that I described above. After 24 hours they contacted me with a temporary solution and asked me if it solve the problem. Indeed it did and then they were able to fix the database in order to prevent it from happening to others. I used the app since then it seems to be excellent. I therefore change my review from one store to five stars.
This App suddenly frozen after 2 days ago there was an energy failure around our area and there was severe weather condition some kinda like minus degree and our internet got affected. When I get into the app after the energy surge, the NEURIVA App suddenly Frozen and all my 30 day challenge were all deleted.. so I have to do all over again. I believed whoever made this UI/UX systems should be updated or there will be some type of Fail system to keep the User from not losing its track from practicing their cognitive and neurological functions . I am not quite sure how effective these Tests would be and if taking Neuriva supplements would be able to help a certain person , when the Brain Gym was failing and cannot provide the necessary effective regimen 😱😩😤😳
This is my first time ever doing brain gym games and I must say that I find this to be very interesting and interactive and fun even though sometimes I am tempted to quit because it can get annoying when I am not doing too great . I am thankful that every attempt that I made to quit , the app sends a reminder that I’ve done so much already and I only have so much to complete and it kind of motivates me to keep going . I can’t say I am hooked , but I would like to see where this would take me ! I am indeed wondering what the future holds for me !
The fact that this app is meant to be paired with a cognitive supplement has me feeling cynical. I can’t help but notice that the way your progress is tracked is by performance in games which offer you more points at higher levels. Trouble is, everyone has to start at the lower levels. So even if you perform at a higher level from the outset, it’s going to look like you improved because you get more points for doing the same thing. I can’t help but feel it’s by design, to make it seem like the supplement is helping more than it probably is. The aesthetic isn’t very appealing and the games are all of sketchy quality. The crossword, for instance, sometimes includes the answer in the clue? It’s not very streamlined, either, making inputting answers a chore. The coloring activity is too much of a nightmare to deal with, coloring when you want to zoom or move the picture. I’ve gotten to the point where every day the workouts are “Ugh, not that one.” Which seem to far outnumber the tolerable games. I thought this would be THE brain training app because it’s Neuriva, the brain supplement. But now I just question the app and the integrity of the brand itself.
Great concept. But certain age groups don’t play video games so joysticks have a learning curve so it’s frustrating. Eventually I’ll catch on. But the most irritating is the soothing noises. They are NOT soothing because they have other distracting noises. I can hear people talking under the white noise, birds chirping in the rain (birds don’t chirp when it is raining), crunching leaves causes me physical pain because I’m hearing foot steps and leaves crunching. So for for the ADD/autistic crowd could you PLEASE have a sound that is ONLY that sound. Meaning one option that has no other background noise. The background noise puts me in high alert. Thanks. But I do highly recommend the app.
I am 38 years young and my assessment score was 42 years young. The descriptions are mediocre so once you start your left guessing what to do. I recently had COVID and I’ve been in a brain fog that I am not mad for getting a score of a 42 year old brain. However, I did enjoy the games once I got the hang of how to play them. I will continue to use these brain exercises and take my neuriva capsules once a day to help my brain get back to its best.
So far I like what I have seen. The exercises are very quick and progressively get challenging which I really enjoy. I would like to add that these exercises are indeed very fun and they feel very rewarding upon completing them. Also prior to the exercise, the app will give you a general description of what will be “trained” with the exercise, whether it is recall or reflex. Indeed a very nice app, though I should add that this is a day 1 review.
I am mid-sixties, and had been feeling that my processing speed was reducing somewhat. I had been looking for a supplement to assist, and found the Neuriva supplement along with its Brain Gym. I am not certain whether it is the supplement mostly or the Brain Gym, but in any case, it has been hugely helpful. I feel as sharp as maybe I ever was, and take the supplement and do the drills daily. Wonderful program. Thank you.
I’ve wanted to add this to my daily regime for years!!!! I'm excited at 48, I'm finally able to. I loved having the app, allowing to test. It's challenging & allows an opportunity to see improvements, after taking the supplement. ( before & 30 days in, once within my system good.) I will have to REVIEW again once I'm 30 days in. When you do these exercises, you start off thinking that they are so easy, however they get hard QUICK! I enjoyed each exercise while trying to figure out how it pertained to scoring what my brain age is. So far I think these exercises are great, as I’m a retired nurse and think these simple activities can be helpful at regaining cognitive functioning and capacity. MW
This is by far the best brain game I've encountered. I'm working so hard on my brain to work better - being 70 years old and have had a stroke which took out my frontal lobe, this game has really challenged me which I truly appreciated!!! Some how I got logged out of the app. I have tried everything to log in with no success. My account “when logged in” says I need to upgrade to premium. I had already upgraded and enjoyed the games. Checked my subscriptions on phone and sure enough I was charged for subscription until June 20th. I tried cancelling subscription and canceled the “marketing site”. It was easy to sign back up their marketing site (ha). I have been taking Neuriva for months. This app is a disappointment.
This app is giving me so much grief. It offered a free brain score if I take 7 tests. Every time I finished a test I needed to close the app & keep refreshing to move onto the next level test. When I went to finally get my score after completing all 7 brain games no matter how much I refresh it, it won’t show me my score. This makes me sad as I have purchased the vitamins and was looking forward to this free test trial to choose to purchase the app or not. I come on here to find everyone has given this 4.5 stars... I’m not convinced. Are you buying reviews???
I’ve tried another supplement, but I find the Neuriva brand more effective. I’m enjoying the stimulation exercises on the app, and believe it will help me achieve my goal. Some of the tests can be confusing. For example: a picture of a bowl with 3 scoops of ice cream could be either “ice cream” or “sundae.” In order to get the correct answer you have to check all of the letters to deduce which answer the computer considers the correct one. If the purpose of the test is analytical, then this makes sense, otherwise it is just frustrating.
The app has helped to strengthen my brain a great deal; because I was born 3 1/2 months premature and this app has been a great source of brain strengthening and my progress continues successfully and improves daily; even today my brain continues to improve daily; in this new year my brain is fierce, thank you Neuriva🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I thought I would ace this test….but was I wrong. I wasn’t far off from my actual age, but I thought I would have done much better. Take the test. You’ll be surprised. I have just purchased Neuriva. I’ll come back in a month and take it again and see. D.
Even though is is rather simple, remembering and answering questions is harder than you may think. My suggestion is to do it in a room or a place alone, with no distractions. You don’t have time to answer someone’s simple question and see what you can do. Good luck. It is worth the effort.
It’s my favorite game to play. You get to choose from a variety of games. It’s very explanatory about how to play it, as well as what skills you will be sharpening…mental learning, memory & learning, focus & concentration, accuracy, reasoning, etc. Plus, it provides soothing soundscapes to unwind. Highly recommend.
I just took the first set of tests to get a baseline of cognitive ability. It seemed the program gave immediate feed back most of the time which was helpful. However, the directions were sketchy and I was confused about when a game would be finished or exactly what I was suppose to do. Something as simple as numbering the tests or checking each test off as you go would be helpful.
It is my first time using the app. I worry about getting dementia because my mom had it. Hopefully this app will help me. I want to start taking Neuriva but being on a fixed income I sometimes only have enough to pay my bills. I wish it was covered by insurance
I bought a bottle of Neuriva after I noticed that my short term memory suffered after having Covid. The app came free with every bottle so I gave it a try. I’ve been playing Mahjong now for months and have noticed both my game improve and my short term memory is better!
This app has great games that are easy to play on the go. They’re challenging but in a fun way. I feel my mind working! I’ve tried a lot of different brain game apps that either feel clunky or feel like you’re not actually working out your brain. This is the best one I’ve tried so far.
I had COVID a year ago and noticed some loss of cognitive abilities since I recovered. Spelling used to come easy; now simple words can leave me flustered when I can’t spell them. I’m hoping this app will help me regain a few of those lost abilities. Wish me luck.
I found the exercises to be a bit more difficult than I thought they’d be. But, that made me want to do more and get a higher score. So far, I would have to say it is pretty good. We’ll see. If after taking the product and exercising my brain I don’t get higher scores, than it doesn’t work!
I have definitely been taking this every day but I have not been able to log into the app every day. I should be able to go back into previous days and update that I took it. I broke my nose this weekend so I can’t sit with my glasses on for long to use the app, I keep forgetting to log that I took it!
Sometimes my brain just needs a good exercise! There are so many games! They can be played on your smartphone or computer! Your score is calculated and matched to a “brain age”. Data is collected so you can see your progress. I love it!
Enjoyed the tests that I READ the instructions before starting but text of the instructions need to be BIGGER and flash so that the person attempting the test would slow down and read them!! Might need to do three test and average to get the best assessment??
First time using, and memory games were definitely tougher as I went along. A little frustrating and discouraging, but makes me determined to continue training my brain and see improvement.
Amazing is all I can say about this brain gym app. You’ve got to try it and stick with it to keep your brain healthy and active. After all our brains are the computer that runs our entire body
I was looking for brain games that could be played free with meaning of keeping my mind active. I play Lumosity for free, for over 565 days straight. I have lost interest because of them not measuring what I have done over that time. I live on a fix budget and monthly payment are not a option. To bad this would help in seeing if I have the start of Alzheimer’s.
Challenging. Happy to learn my cognitive ability is less than my real age which is good for me as a senior. I would recommend the brain games; even if it’s just for kicks to see how you compare.
The games and exercises can be helpful as part of rehab, but the app is buggy. It will lose place in various games and not retrieve account information. Some of the games require undocumented work arounds to recover the current level. Some games kick one back to previous levels if there are no more moves, which is annoyingly and adds to the busy work.
Definitely stay focus and pay attention because these games will test your short term memory to the test. Awesome memory and paying attention games. Enjoy putting myself to the test with all the games!!
In some games it is too easy to accidentally hit the ‘pause’ button at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes when you return to the game after accidentally pausing, the controls no longer work. I was unable to aim the cannon after accidentally pausing.
I’ve used this app for a few years and it’s always been difficult as the games do not always load correctly and most of the time I am unable to actually complete a section of games to get a score. Any time I’ve reached out they have blamed it on me having an iPhone. Well if your app isn’t conducive for Apple products why have it available to us? If y’all could fix the issues with your app, it would be great!
I think the timed test really is a good workout for brain training, I liked the challenge it gave me. I want to do it in the future so I can see if I improved my score. It is challenging but cool!
Like the mental stimulation it gives me. Makes me think a lot when I use the app. It makes me feel like I’m actually working out my brain and makes me feel good about it as I don’t know what else I could do to make myself more aware of my mental health. Only draw back is the monthly price but otherwise worth it.
I didn’t know what to expect when I started the initial evaluation. It was kinda tough. I came out with a cognitive age of 63 (I’m 66), and an overall score of 400 out of 800. I think I can train my brain to do better with the app. Time will tell.
Since COVID I can’t remember things as I used to or recall them as clearly this application and taking neuriva I hope will help I just started today will update after I take 42 days worth which is a one month supply.
I try to remain physically fit by going to the gym at least four times a week. Now it’s become apparent I need to also exercise my brain. This is a great training tool to do just that.
I catch myself getting frustrated became of the time limits and the distractions that come into play that tries to throw me off. I love this game!!! I need this type of challenge in order to grow mentally. In all areas of my life. Thank you to the creators who made this game.
I actually enjoy this app... I don’t usually leave reviews but u like it! When I started half of this games were hard for me... it hasn’t been that long! But I’ve gotten way better and way faster... it honestly has helped me! Thank you.
The only problem that I had was during word search with pictures was that I was looking for the word sheep but was supposed to be looking for the word lamb and had to hit hint to know that😜
I have been using Neuriva for two years and just today happened to peal off the label from the big bottle to see the info about the app. After downloading the app I learned that games are not free ! The Neuriva vitamins are very expensive as it is and not additional cost should be solicited by its maker but we live in greedy Country so many companies find ways to exploit its customers🤷♀️ But not me , I am done with Neuriva and switching to another vitamin maker .
This app gets your brain challenged in a way that most daily activities will not do. The app gives you information about how your brain is truly accessing information and muscle motion. I’m glad I tested with this app and I’m glad Neuriva is there to help
I really enjoy the games. They’re fun AND I’m exercising my brain at the same time! I just wish there was a much easier or more clear way to redeem codes from the supplements for the app. I also wish I could add them directly to the app rather than the website. Perhaps I’m missing something?
This is a great app but some of the brain games I find a bit unfair. The bird letter game is very creative but I don’t think it is fair that the letters keep jumping and changing. I think that locating the letter and figuring how to move it to it’s position is challenging enough! The other game is the word search I think that the letters are too small.
I recently downloaded the app as I purchased the supplement from the store recently. So far I love the product and the app. I can’t wait to see how my brain retrains while using the two!
