I love Northrim bank. I’ve been with them since I’ve been back from Georgia which has been about four years. they know me by name there ,they treat you like family they’re always willing to help, always super friendly and customer service oriented. IfI ever have an issue it’s always met with Let’s figure that out. If you’re looking for a bank, that’s goes at extra mile and has that home town feel , go with Northrim you won’t be disappointed.
This is Northrim: start the process, move the camera over the check and awkwardly click. Wait for confirmation you tried. Wait for a confirmation it actually was accepted. When it isn’t accepted it gives, as a possibility that you tried to deposit too many checks but it doesn’t tell you what the limit is. I tried to deposit three checks. You accepted one. My other bank: Start the process, move the camera over the check and their system decided when the check is lined up and automatically takes the picture. Then I wait to see that it was deposited...no second step. I’ve been denied a deposit by your bank many times but never by my other bank.
Great app that rolled out a lot of new features after it was released. People pay! Touch ID! Deposits! The bank had to introduce a new app to support their system change. It took some time to get it back to the way it was before. But now that it is up and running and fully functional, it is AWESOME!!
I have never used a less reliable app. It may work 1/3 of the days I attempt to log in. It tells me “network unavailable. Check your connection and try again. Error 0011.” It doesn’t matter how good my WiFi/cell data is - it will give me this message every attempt for days on end. Unfortunately I have used this app for years. Finally it has become so bad that I have to leave a scathing review. The developers of this app should be ashamed and barred from developing ever again. That is how bad this app is. I am considering changing banks because of this god awful system. Do better.
Excellent app when it’s actually working, which is literally less than half the time I try using it. It would get 5 stars from me if it even worked 75% if the time, but it’s no where near that reliable. The ‘Touch ID’ often doesn’t work (yes, it works flawlessly with all of the other apps I use), so I’m forced to type in my password... ...which I could grow to find quite tolerable, except that half of the time even THAT avenue won’t work, and so I’m then forced to access my account via the website...which is, of course, not nearly as quick and mobile-friendly as the app is (those few instances that it’s actually working). This problem, combined with the dearth of branch locations and their often inconvenient hours of operation have me sneaking looks at other banks as I’m driving by...
I'm not sure I understand what the strategy is here- this app used to work great. Had Touch ID and most of what you needed in a banking app. Now this "upgraded" version arrives and it's broken right out of the box. It won't accept password and doesn't have Touch ID. I've been waiting a week for a fix, and have to use the safari browser to access online banking. I give them about a month before I start looking for another bank. The convenience of the old app spoiled me I guess.
Northrim did an awesome job with upgrading their App! Touch ID, People Pay, easy Bill Pay, Card Controls - all in one place with user friendly intuitive navigation. Love my local bank, cannot be happier.
There is a difference between opening the account online or using the app. The app will not allow me to see a running daily balance. It shows pending transactions, but does not show daily balance per the transactions. It does not allow me to plan ahead. The online app needs too many verifications compared to other banking apps I have used.
I usually never say never..but this app never works. I just go to the website and log in that way. It’s a waste of time to try the app. The financial institution and employees are great but the app is horrible.
I have been using this mobile app for awhile, however recently it has been glitching and has denied me access to my account every time I go to login. It was working great up until about 3 weeks ago. This is disappointing as when traveling, don’t have time to login into this online. If you ever getting it working again I would change my rating to 5.
We have done business with Northrim for many years and have never walked in the Eagle River Branch without a very friendly greeting by name. Fine people that we trust.
Be warned if you down load this app you will be disappointed as it is constantly broken for one random reason or another I’m not interested in talking to my bank on the phone but maybe once a year this app has helped me talk to them constantly if your looking for a relation ship that constantly needs fixing mobile bank with Northrim
Really need the fingerprint sign-on. So much more convenient. This app will take a bit getting used to. I really thing the other app was more user friendly, however that may be because I was used to it. Fingerprint sign on - key to making me happy!
Thank you for putting the sign off back at the top of the page, so I don't have to go looking for it. Would be nice if I could move the order of my accounts list. I like to have checking above savings, since I use it more often
The mortgage option allows me to transfer money but doesn’t easily show the due dates or how much is due in the app, as escrow and insurance amounts change mortgage rates from time . Not easily seen , lacking information. Transferring via Zelle doesn’t work with your app direct .
I dislike this app so much that I have decided to switch banks. So much of baking is mobile now, I don't understand why they have gone and made their app worse with the "update". And why have they never had an option under mortgage payments to just pay on principle. Why do I have to call them or walk into a branch. Such a bummer.
Signed up to be able to track our mortgage payments and mortgage information, but it doesn’t provide any useful information on our loan account. Disappointed since there is a lot of room for growth especially when compared to standard apps that should have the fundamental features.
I’ve been a loyal Northrim custom for many years. I’ve patiently struggled with this ridiculous app since the beginning when it was created. It’s terrible. It is glitchy all the time. It rarely actually is capable of using Face ID, even though it walks through all the steps. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app so many times, it’s not funny! Someone PLEASE fix this app!!
Love Northrim Bank!!! I have banked with several financial institutions and Northrim Bank, their staff are excellent! Wish they had banks on east coast! Keep up the great work!!! Connie Basham
It isn’t consistent when it comes to showing recent purchases. It shows your available balance but not all purchases. Also I wish there were a balance shown next to each purchase.
This app will update each time you open the app, deleting your login info. Why even have a “save user ID” and finger printing authenticator option if it doesn’t work because the app deletes everything saved?? Would give negative stars if possible - app is terrible, the banks’ customer service equally as bad.
This app is not very intuitive, nor does it provide very much information about account, billing cycles, and transfers are awkward to find and make. Other than that I can still transfer money between accounts so that works.
This app has serious problems and over the year or more I’ve been with Northrim, they’ve done little to improve it. When you contact them, they yes you to death seeming to be willing but their app developer is in Wisconsin and is with incompetent or simply beyond caring. I’m toying with the idea of switching banks to a more responsive one.
This app is so terrible it won't even let me sign in. No fingerprint option either. Northrim missed the mark with their "upgrades". I've been a happy customer until now. I'm extremely disgruntled with all of the changes and this app not working is the final straw.
Removed Touch ID with AND I have to download a different app to deposit checks into my business account?? The old app did everything I needed and was simple to use
I keep having to delete app and re download to get it working. "Updated app" the more accurate description should be downgraded app. Changing banks soon if the bugs keep happening.
