I know change is good but some of the options that were on the old online banking is missing. I was trying to do an address change and that option is not on there or am i tripping. The old way was much easier, things are under different tabs it’s going to take some getting use to. I know i set my statements to be paperless when i moved but i checked on here and they were still being sent out to my old address which is weird smh so when i try to use the help tool it don’t seem like it is updated smh i just can’t wait to change banks I’m over old point
Any transaction used to show up as a pending charge within minutes. At most a day. I paid several bills earlier this week and they still have not posted even though I’ve received confirmation the payments have been processed. I appreciate the new features, which would be great if I didn’t already have a budget, but I lost one of two things I actually need from a mobile banking service with this update. (The other is check deposit which works great. You can now deposit checks directly to savings)
It says address changes are possible but the underlying ability, even on desktop browser, is missing. A visit to the bank is required, and only drive through is possible now (2023), but they gave me a form and took care of my address change right in the drive through.
This app is extremely clunky. Plug-ins don’t work with phone, the latency is horrible, and I think someone’s small toddler is updating the programming. There is no option to pay bills or monies owed on loans this bank owns through the app, this app is merely a window to your accounts….that is all. They do everything by paper, with a bank teller, at one of their “2” locations hidden around Va beach. My loan was sold to this bank and I despise my entire experience to date and cannot wait for the day when I can never use this system again
Kudos to Old Point for updating their app. Its about time they did away with that old outdated app they finally caught up with the times. I can finally use it like I want to like linking outside accounts and check deposit. It’s very simple to use and not a hassle and inconvenience like it once was.
The app works fairly well but there are some functions that are difficult to use. The bank requires you to call in order to set up mobile deposits. Navigating ways to transfer money is difficult. There is definitely some learning curves to it but for the most part it’s good
Easy to access and navigate. Face ID simplifies login process. Appreciate additional security measures. Phone customer service is often not available so it is helpful to have this app.
Excellent and courteous employees! Has always been that way. It’s the Old Point image. I know I worked there 15 of the best years of my life. Miss it so much. Wish I had 15 more years to give♥️$♥️
Nonstop issues with making payments. The way the system is designed is so backwards. If I Iog in, make a payment, and then receive a confirmation then I would assume the payment is good. But nope not with this app, they make you go approve each transaction again but don’t notify you to do that so my payments don’t technically go through and I get late fees. Every. Single. Time.
I love the convenience of OPNB’s on-line banking. Haven’t misplaced a single small check since I started using the app to deposit them as they come in.
After just one day on this app, my account no longer shows up. I now need to go to a physical branch to insure my account hasn’t been hacked into as there is no after hours assistance available. I’m not happy at all.
The only thing I don’t like about Old Point national Bank or the app on the phone is they are closed on the weekends and nothing is processed and new or closed until the following workday which is Monday. It is really unacceptable by customer standards.
The apps that I use for my other banking relationships appear to be much more sophisticated than the Old Point app. I don’t use this account as much for electronic banking as a result.
Came to Old Point looking for a better online bill pay system. Desktop view was promising. Opened account for the sole purpose of test driving online banking/Bill pay. Took four days and multiple phone calls to get online account open? They said IT had to get involved. All of this only to discover you have to wait 30 days to use the bill pay?? 33 days later bill pay doesn’t appear on account more phone calls more IT support and Billpay is activated, issue w app they said. I attempt to enter payee accounts and learned the E bill function is missing? More phone calls and multiple visits to local branch. Called support and nice lady viewed account and agreed E bill was missing. Stated she would contact IT and call me back, never called back. Went to branch to speak with branch manager D. Pavalok. He viewed acct and he too agreed E bill was mysteriously not there. Advised it would be forwarded to IT and he would call me back. Following week he called and advised IT was unable to offer explanation as to why E bill was missing? He stated that was not an acceptable answer and would inquire further. Another week has passed. No additional information provided. Additionally, the online or desktop view disappears from Billpay once you enter payee accounts? Why ? Why not just allow the customer to decide what view they would prefer to work with? Mobile app view is weak and limited not providing same information and options as the desktop view. Why do they make it so hard? PS. This matter has caused multiple contacts with numerous employees of Old Point. Kinda funny how the majority if not all have indicated they don’t use their own employers online banking??
If you forget your username and try to reset your password it doesn’t work. Even if you remember your username if you put it in to reset your password you get a message saying wrong password which is the whole reason behind resetting it. Don’t bother with customer service it’s non existent. No one answers the phone. You get charged late fees because they tell you they didn’t receive your payment, what a racket. No wonder the interest rate on the loans are low, they are going to screw you over with false late fees.
