Mobile App better than my last VOIP servce
Love the texting feature. Calls and texts Work well over cellular. This makes it worth it. I wish App had control to Ooma Office & we could set the call handling from the app. If you are in a meeting, you have to log out not to get calls. A simple Do No Disturb to go straight to voice mail would be great. Also, If you are the admin and there are 2 numbers, you have to continually go back and forth to each box or you miss texts and messages. Not good -so we only give out the 2nd ext number but that defeats the purpose of routing the call. The Auto attendant is just passable and I hope Ooma realizes this and offers more features in the future. I also feel they have future plans to improve and do listen to their clients. Great customer support so far too. And, Ooma is much better than the Grandstream App and is definitely a must have if you need affordability, mobility and can handle the work arounds you might have to make for your business.

Ooma on the go app
Hello I have been using our Ooma business phone system for several months now. And, it has been everything that we desired and wanted. We have the desktop phone for our in office set up, and the mobile app for when we are away and need to handle calls remotely. Oh, and there is the Ooma computer app which allows us to even use the phone even when we are away from either our desktop or mobile phones. I do work mainly remotely as I travel around, and for me this has been a great choice and its done all it said. Now as a former customer service rep, I critique others as often make contact to companies via their customer service. Well, has been excellent and I’ve called on several occasions to find out how to her something done or set up or whatever I’ve need. Their customer service has been very very helpful each time I’ve called in. They’re very respectful easy to talk with and patient and so very courteous. So if you’re looking at Ooma as a possible choice, well they done great for us! Oh and one last thing. One of our business partners is an attorney and when I told her I was considering Ooma for our new project, she told me her law firm has been with Ooma for around 7 years and they’ve never had any issues. So there you go! “Go Ooma, it’s a great way to go!”

Great App for Professionals On-the-Go!
I’ve used the Ooma Office Mobile App for over a year now and my overall experience has been great. It allows me to keep my business calls separate from my personal calls, all while using my cell phone. With the app, you get a separate business phone number along with business phone features like a Virtual Receptionist. The app notifies you when you are receiving an Ooma Office call, so you know to answer in a professional manner. The texting feature also just became available so you can even send messages from your business phone number! This app is great for professionals using their cell phones for business calls, without having to give out your personal cell number.

Still glitchy but continues to improve
I would have given less stars for functionality, but the customer service at Ooma is one of the best I’ve ever received. I use iOS for this app, and a Windows PC at work. This app is far from perfect. Pros: incredible concept, well priced, great customer service, many features work perfectly. Cons: App is slow, does not access customer names that were entered on the computer. The app does not consistently update the time and date that a phone call or text was received. Often it shows yesterday when it was two or three days ago. Deleting old voicemails is slow and sometimes difficult. Do not let this review stop you from using Ooma phone service. I love this company and they have helped my small business provide quicker response time and better customer service to my customers!

SPAM Blocking
Hello Tech, Is it possible we could block an annoying caller on the app? Instead of having to wait till I am back in the office to login to the system to block them. It would be much easier and faster on the app. Example: a call comes in and its "Hi I'm from warranty services we have been trying to reach you" At this point I should be able to hang up and select block caller on the app. Sometimes it could be days until I'm back in the office so the harassment continues for the remainder of my business trip then I have to go though my call list and try to remember which callers were spam. Additionally Some of these callers are not on the robo caller list like for example a local pharmacy, the red cross, and the local police and schools looking for donations. This is very disruptive to my work. I had to put this in a review because your feedback email doesn’t work!!!

The iPhone app does not have all the features
I recently switched my business phone service to Ooma because of the text message feature. However, I now learned that this feature is not available on the iPhone app. My assistant has an Adroid phone and the app on her phone is very different and it has a lot more options and features. I also do not get all the voicemails and they are sometimes rerouted to the wrong extension. I posted the above review in December 2019z However, in late January iPhone had an update which in fact fixed all the issues it previously had. I can honestly say now that I am very happy with the app.

App crashes constantly
Started using this app in may 2021. Worked well at first with the minor inconvenience of dealing with the random annoying pop up asking me to rate the app (spoiler alert - you can only give it 5 stars). After a few months the app would drop calls randomly. I just assumed it was Verizon’s fault for data dropping out. It got worse and would even start to drop calls while on WiFi. I reinstalled the app about 4-5 times but it never made a difference. I assumed it must be my phone. Last month I got a new phone for other reasons and tried the Ooma app. Same issue. This week it got to the point I could not even make a call. It rings once then app crashes. Through process of elimination, it can only be Oomas faulty app or throttling of calls. Their support recommended reinstalling the app. Just switched service to another company and couldn’t be happier. Skip this one.

Not Impressed - Needs huge improvements
I just started using Ooma Phones and this app and I’m not impressed with this app and not impressed with the phones nor the company at all. This app is extremely limited. Even ESI, which is one of Ooma’s competitors has a better app than this. It needs to be updated with better features that provide business people on the go more technology and a more enjoyable experience. Also their regular phones are very low tech and their features are very dull. The ring tones are very bad and they sound very old. Their company voices which answer phone calls are very robotic and don’t sound real nor professional. Come on figure it out, improve and blow your competitors out of the water. You still have lots to learn. Figure it out fast..if people are not patient while on hold, people in real life with your systems won’t either. There are many options out there. Hope you take my advice to heart.

No support from Ooma
The messaging platform on iOS and on an iPhone 15 pro max is frustrating to say the least. No response from support. No mention of fixes in place. How does one keep a sustainable and stress free experience for their business ,and its phone system, if nothing is being done about their issues. I’ve been a customer for coming up on 10 years and there has always been an issue with the app. I must be crazy for staying on this long, but time and technology has advanced dramatically over the passed decade that the time has come I explore other options. For Pete’s sake they have me running on the hardware from 2015 and “nothing has change” according to them so I haven’t not been updated to a new box for new tech. Sorry I’m but you lost this long time customer and it’s time to go. Peace be with you.

Works great.
By happenstance, we installed Ooma a few weeks before the Covid lockdown. It enabled us to work remotely and keep the office going business-as-usual and provide seamless service to our clients. It also allows contact to clients through your cellphone after hours or on weekends without giving up your personal cell number. Like anything, if you don’t have good internet or WiFi, of course service won’t be as good. If it wasn’t for Ooma, our office would have had a much tougher time servicing clients and keeping afloat while working remotely during covid lockdown.

Terrible experience
This company was horrible to try and get customer service from. I called to cancel 2 days after setting it up, got routed around to people trying to convince me to stay and finally was transferred to an ‘account manager’ who could cancel. After 10 minutes of him trying to convince me to stay, he finally said he’d cancel. I never got an email confirmation. I called back the next day, went through the same routine, talked to the same account manager who convinced me the refund was in process but might take a while because the servers were busy. Cmon man. Still nothing. Whatever, I gave up on a refund but today I got an email that they were trying to bill me and my card didn’t work. There is no account left for me to login to. It’s a hot mess and I’m seriously surprised by the high ratings.

Nightmare porting number out of Ooma
Service worked well most of the time. Issue came when I had to change providers for HIPPA compliance. I called Ooma to get my number unlocked, indicated I would be canceling once my number was ported out and clearly stated not to cancel until I confirmed. My number was cancelled that day leaving my clients with no way to call/text me over the weekend. Monday I contacted Ooma to have my services restored and was told I could not port a canceled number. I would have to pay $35 reactivation fee or route my calls through the account of someone who works there and provide my new service with new porting instructions. The amount of time consumed contacting phone companies and clients was ridiculous.

Would not recommend for legitimate business use
Features promised by Sales only work on desktop version, not available on mobile phones also numbers assigned promise to identify your company but come across to your customers as suspected spam in most call filter apps and do not show the caller ID or your actual locations so you risk having your existing customers block your call. Not very professional from a truly mobile small business. Very sad as looked very promising until wasted time trying to convince their technical support teams that their provisioning was not successful and ever problem presented was blamed on my local carrier and not acknowledged as the fault of Ooma nor do they provide proof of what they say were provisioned in order to file a complaint against the carriers as per their excuses

Very very capable system
I first got on my at my home to replace my dated landline. And when their office service became available I decided to get it for my small independent media group radio stations it has proven to be a super capable performer. Especially in the area of receiving texts on the landline. What a great thing that has been for communications company. The sound quality is More than good enough to broadcast in any market. You’ll love the way it sounds you love the way performance. The only thing you may not like, it’s a set up has a long learning curve. Be willing to dedicate a little time to figure out how to use Oma. And once you do you will love it!

Not very happy with this update
The new ring vibration is REALLY annoying. Frequently causes my phone to continue to vibrate until I restart my phone. Closing the app, or disabling notifications will not fix this once it starts. I am currently typing this on a phone that is vibrating, and has been vibrating for 5 minutes. There doesn't seem to be any way within the app to change my vibration or disable receiving calls on my phone through the app without disabling notifications in system settings. Still no way to block callers, or subscribe to a black list in Ooma Office. This was a major selling point for me in switching to Ooma. To be fair they never said the Office version has these features, but on their website it is not made clear only the home version has these faetures.

Outstanding
I have been with them for several months now. I’ve had nothing but a great experience. The quality of the phone calls are much better than my previous VoIP service and the fact that it includes texting and voice recording now at their price point is a huge savings and a big win for small business offices. Give them feedback about your concerns, they are always looking to improve their business from what I can tell.

Great app
It took a min to figure how the mobile app and desktop app worked together but once I did it works great. Having the texting option has changed my business. My only issue is that sometimes you don’t hear when a new message comes in and phone calls. You’ll get the notification the calm is coming in but you can’t answer the call. Turning on and off my phone usually fixes it

Terrible App
The app crashes at least 2-3 times each time I try to get something done on it, like a text or call. The app is extremely slow and sending or receiving photos takes forever, if it works at all. It freezes all the time too. It also doesn't ring on the other lines, like is supposed to. We often miss calls that never rang, so it results in lost business. I can't set a custom voice mail message either. Ooma is very easily the worst app I have and, since my company uses it for our business, it is extremely important to us, so we company will be switching soon. I was hoping for a couple of years that Ooma would improve their app, but they haven't. Disappointing.

Confusing
There are options on this app that are not defined and tech support is unable to answer. Very disappointed with their customer-tech support. Here’s my current example. under More-call Settings there is an option for Integrated calling. If turned on it gives option of Ooma ringtone and Phone Recents Support. When enabled it sends all calls directly to my personal voicemail on my cell. When I turn off integrated calling it works well enough but then I only receive a brief banner telling me it’s Ooma. Wish I could get answers but 3x now CS unable to tell me what it is exactly and how to use it properly. Sigh.

Making my business looks bad
My company uses Ooma as our business line. Of course we love the idea that we can get the call from our cell phone when we’re not at our desk. It’s especially useful when we’re working from home. But the call keep getting disconnected, and I can’t conference call through the app like I normally can from the actual office phone. I’m tired of explaining to people why I can’t conference other team member in because they call me on my work line, and that I have to call them back with my cell number which I never wanted to. I’m tired to explaining to customers and prospect to be patient with the connection. If you’re going to provide the service to people, do it good. Other companies do it, why can’t you?

Great system you can always use also in the app as well as voice over IP phones are amazing and the best part is you can text everyone through this app directly into someone’s cell phone and stay in touch with them and the customer support is amazing every time you call they will walk you through and if there’s any fixing or anything to do with internal external issues they are amazing

Best business phone service out there!
This app is amazing. I'm rarely in the office so I handle most of my calls through this app. My calls are very clear. (Much much better than other providers I've tried like nextivia or 8x8). I love how easy this app is to use. Texting is VERY smooth compared to the other apps. This app has saved me so much time and hassle. Recommend it for everyone.

Love it but some minor issues so far
I have used twi other companies Vonage and Intermedia both horrible stay away from both. So far Ooma Office is awesome. Interface so easy compared to above companies. Clarity on the mobile app is very good so far. I really like the mobile app. Only issues with the mobile app is, although my caller ID is setup correctly, the mobile app does not show the correct caller ID and no clue how to delete calls in the call log. I have not contacted support yet. I hope the issues can be fixed so I can give the app 5-stars.

Switch to Ring Central
Ooma made us pay to setup account in order to see all features with a 30 day money back guarantee. Once we got in and set up realized there are a couple of features they didnt have so we needed to use another platform. We never even placed or received one call. We called to deactivate our account a dew days after activating account and they kept our money stating there is nothing they can do. I felt like I was completely lied to. I could care less about the money, it was the fact that they charge in order to see certain features and then promise to give a refund if you dont like it. Very deceptive.

I don’t know what you “fixed” in the last update, but ever since installing it on my iPhone 13, my app won’t ring. I just get a pop up telling me I have a missed call. It feels like almost every update that is done breaks more than it fixes. The one before this made it so when I’m looking at voicemails in the list, every number is listed as “unknown”. I have to dig through the call history to find the number. There is also a noticeable (2-3 second) delay when talking on the phone that gets worse and worse the longer I’m on a call. I think it’s about time to find a new phone system.

Excellent
So far so good. I especially like update 3.1. Now when a person calls my work number I can open it directly from my locked screen. It’s an easier and welcome process. I haven’t used it a lot yet, but what I have, call reliability has been great too. Only feature that I really want to see is the ability to send and receive texts from my number. That would be awesome if they would implement that!

Horrible customer service
I started a 30 day trial with Ooma Office to see if it would fit my small business needs. I was promised by the salesperson that I could cancel with her at any time during the trial, and then also that it was a month-to-month contract. When I tried to cancel with her, she told me I would have to call customer service to cancel. When I attempt to call customer service, no one ever has the ability to cancel my account. I will be reporting them to my state’s Secretary of State’s office, and reporting additional charges on my card as fraudulent. I believe everyone should steer clear of this company.

I have access on my cell phone or computer. Incredible app!!! Thank you!!!

Great idea, Poor execution.
I have used many VOIP services but opted for Ooma this time because I can have both a land-line and cell calls using the same number. The land line works great, but the idea of being able to make and receive calls and texts on my mobile phone is horrendous. Texts don’t show up for hours and send ones often don’t go out. Changing Wi-Fi or cellular doesn’t make a difference. Calls can’t get placed and are often dropped. The iOS app is super slow and buggy! Also, no feature to call a number from Ooma from outside the app like other VOIP systems offer.

I have tried other small business solutions, incredibly feature rich, but with features like unified messaging, CRM and exports also comes complications. With Ooma Business the mobile app works with my desk phone and my desktop, I get a simple fax and voicemail to email solution. Simple quick and easy for anyone to configure.

Fantastic for Business - one caveat
This app & system has brought my business’ professionalism up 100%!! It’s great that I can text customers that their order has been delivered. I sometimes have trouble connecting due to WiFi. It definitely is something you have to wait until it’s completely sent before you start driving. It isn’t quite like texting on your phone, there is a relay which is understandable and expected.

Hidden charges, hard to cancel
Overall the service works okay. Drops or doesn't receive some calls even over wifi, barely works over data. But that's the case with any virtual phone at the moment. Not impressed with their billing practices and I wouldn't use their service again for the following reasons: -They really try to upsell physical equipment. It's all tied to Ooma and has no use or monetary value. -After porting a number to replace a temporary number, they kept the temporary number and tried to charge me for multiple numbers. This was hidden as a line item and hard to catch on their bill (took me a few months to catch) -After I explicitly closed my account and stopped service, they resumed charging 2 months later with no notice. I'm going to change that credit card so they can't secretly reactivate my account.

Good service and very bad app
Service working well for already 2 years , The app is a different story. This is one of the worse telephone apps this company can come up with. Keep freezing. Why trying to see voicemail messages you get blank screen and error and have to go through all the tabs till you are lucky to see a screen. The voice quality through the app has a lot of delay so better not to call using the app These issues already 2 years and company would not bother to improve. SHAME.

Pretty good app
I never have a problem when using Ooma in my office, but sometime calls get dropped or audio goes away for 5-10 seconds when using the app on my phone. Hope that can be improved, as the benefits are huge in being able to work remotely and (1) Call from anywhere with my business number even though using my cell phone (2) Take calls anywhere without anyone knowing whether I’m in the office or at the beach!

Great app but poor tactile feed
The service of ooma is great. Minimal dropped calls. However, the app can use some better responsiveness. When on the contacts tab, it takes a while to press the back button or edit button. Pretty frustrating. Otherwise, no complaints. (Well maybe they can update it so that the contacts tab shows all info stored on the iPhone contact. The notes too - and it just got the name, number and company)

I have to uninstall and reinstall multiple times a day and in the middle of conversations bc the messaging function is so poor and messages don’t load. I do not recommend this app to anyone that has any minuscule of value for their own time.
