I wish I could add cash income and expenses
I love this app for its simplicity. I also like that I get to flip through and categorize all the transactions myself. Even when I get behind and forget to sort them, I don’t have any trouble because it tells me where I made a transaction and when. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish I could manually enter cash transactions. I am in the service industry and have a hard time managing the cash I make because I don’t go to the bank very often. I forget how much cash I have made and where it all goes when I’m spending it. I would love to be able to enter my cash income after each shift and my cash transactions. Seeing my cash spending habits on this app would help me save I think. I would love to see both my cash and bank as a total. I think it would also require a feature that balances the total balance when I deposit some of that cash. Other apps that have this feature don’t have the aesthetic and simplicity that Oops does.

Great app for ADHD spenders!
The Oops Finance app is a game-changer for personal finance management. The user-friendly interface and intuitive design make it easy to set up accounts and link with bank accounts and credit cards. Real-time updates and transaction tracking ensure you're always aware of your financial status, making budgeting and expense management seamless. The app’s comprehensive budgeting tools are a standout feature. It categorizes spending and provides insightful reports to help understand spending habits. Customizable budget templates allow tailoring to unique financial goals, and timely reminders for upcoming bills help avoid late fees. The savings goal feature is also incredibly motivating. Customer support from the Oops Finance team is top-notch. The support team is prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. Continuous updates and improvements based on user feedback show their commitment to user satisfaction. Oops Finance has transformed how I manage my finances, providing the tools and insights needed to make informed financial decisions. I highly recommend this app.

Cool
It’s my only finance app I use right now, it’s simple, has good looking UI, and basically everything you need to track your budgets. One feature I’d like to see is ability to plan purchases and saving money for them each month. One downside of the app is they randomly enable and disable features. Like there was a feature when you tap on the month name and it gives you a detailed breakdown of that month about your spending habits (I can’t remember honestly what was there because it worked only once for me, but I liked that thing) — it’s gone now. Then they added weekly recap, but then they made it available only if you invite 2 friends?? I mean let me just buy the full version of the app.

literally so annoying
I thought this app would be super fun to track my purchases, and it is, but the amount of pressure to “add friends” and “invite” people to the app is ridiculous. I had to invite a large number of people JUST to start using the app, which was annoying, and I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now. Just today, I get a notification to sort a transaction, which is normal, but as soon as I open the app, it keeps trying to make me add people as friends, and says I cannot keep using the app if I don’t have friends on it. I have no friends on the app and there is no way I’m letting it pressure me to invite more people again. I genuinely could not exit the tab and continue sorting my transactions unless I had friends. That was my last straw. AND, you have to PAY to use the app without having friends which is literally ridiculous. So, i deleted the app. this app is fun but it is definitely not worth all the effort of having to invite people just to use the app and make friends on it. If you don’t mind having to do all of that, go ahead and download it, but I’m fed up with apps like this.

No Longer Working and No Support
I was using Oops for a few months when it was the free version. I liked it so much that I decided to start paying for it when they rolled out a monthly subscription cost. I used it for about 2 months, paying for an account, and then in the middle of August all my expenses stopped showing up to track. I tried signing in/out, updating the app, and reconnecting my bank accounts but nothing changed. In the settings menu I selected a “I need help” button which led me to a text. I sent a text message explaining my problem and got no reply. I waited a few days. My phone needed an update so I updated my phone thinking maybe that would help the issue. After the update nothing was different so I again attempted to disconnect my bank accounts, however, they just kept reappearing when I rechecked. I logged out of the app and now I can’t even log back in. I put my phone number in to log in and it takes me nowhere. I even reached out to customer support via email and still no reply. I cancelled my membership and will be using Quicken instead.

Non-existent help support
This app is definitely fun at first, but there really is no “Help” support for it. When you need any help with the app, it redirect you to text an iOS phone number, which is sort of odd. I was getting consistent responses. The first day I texted the number when I noticed they randomly removed one of the features that made me download the app (the weekly vibes feature) I received responses (from someone who definitely was a real person — the help texts were very casual, almost like they came from the creator of the app?), but since then I followed up several times about that issue over the course of many days and received absolutely no response at all even though my messages showed as delivered. Really disappointed as this App had a lot of potential. I’m going to hold out hope that they can get their act together and respond to help requests in a timely fashion while also stop messing with features because this app was a really fun way to stay on my expenses along with friends, but I’m really disappointed.

I am no longer afraid to look at my finance
I used to mentally prepare myself before I open my bank app. Finance felt like a black box. I always wished I had the discipline to have a spreadsheet for my expenses. I tried multiple times but was never consistent. I was in a loop of being worried about my spending, and I never seemed to have any money left over at the end of the month. Oops really made a difference. I tried a lot of finance apps before but none of them stuck for longer than a few weeks. Since using Oops, I no longer feel like I'm terrible with money. I'm finally able to stay on top of my spending and I'm slowly but surely getting my finances under control. Oops has been a game-changer for me, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with their finances.

Deteriorating, don’t even bother
App was fantastic at first. The concept is great; by making you sort each and every transaction you were more in-tune and aware of your spending habits. However, it was almost like you could tell when the switch was flipped and the creators started to get predatory. At first it was annoying notifications suggesting you share the app, then they had the audacity to prevent you from using the entire app unless you invited a certain amount of people. Now they’re slowly removing features of the app and locking them behind a paywall. It’s gotten to the point where the app is just not worth the hassle anymore. Here’s a suggestion to the developers: don’t take away features that were free before and put them behind a paywall, instead, introduce NEW features and make them premium-only. All you’re doing is cutting down your existing user base by removing features that got you your users in the first place.

Just like Apple iOS ecosystem App!
This finance app is just like Apple iOS ecosystem app, it’s so incredible, unlike other finance apps mess the category, this is important, and also let user choose each the category for each credit card transaction, and the important thing is this oops with Plaid gateway won’t ask and request or record any of the savings account data, because savings account just for saving money, and this app is good for tracking the spend. I think this app could be like Facebook, it has social feature, but oops is first app combining social and financial, the founder just like financial Zuckerberg. Some people like to share finance screenshots on facebook, it’s weird, but oops make it happens.

All of a sudden can’t access without paying?
Update: PLEASE DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP. I’m so sad about oops not working out. After they dealt with the issue I wrote about previously I was in love with the app again for about 2 weeks. Then all of a sudden it won’t show me ANY transactions. I’ve disconnected and reconnected my account many times and it simply won’t show any transactions so I can’t track any of my spending. The app has become useless and I will be deleting! Previous: I used to LOVE this app and recommend it to all of my friends. Then all of sudden I could no longer log in without paying $4/ a week? Like fully cannot get past the Home Screen into the app that is LOGGED INTO MT BANK ACCOUNT without payment…… I am fine if there is a free version and a premium version and before this I probably would have upgraded to premium but locking me out of where my budgets are from multiple months and having my banking info….🚩🚩🚩🚩

Great money saving app
Oops is such a simple app that really helps me see where I’m spending my money every week. Being able to visually see that I’m spending the way I am has really helped me dial back unnecessary expenses and I’m really happy that this app exists. The app is so simple and I really like the interface. On top of this, they’re always updating the app. My favorite part of it is that it’s free, there aren’t lots of apps that have that as a part of it. I like the pro addition, however I think that it’s pretty expensive and I’m at school so I can’t afford it. The pro has some really cool stuff in it which is quite nice, however I just hope that the free version stays as helpful as it is.

Love it!
I have been looking for a money tracking app that isn’t made for budgeting or specific long term planning but just something not complex and super easy to use that shows where you’re spending your money. This app is it. I love it and it feels like you’re playing a little organizing game with your transactions. Takes a few seconds and is extremely user friendly. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I would want a feature to create your own categories (ex: I would want one for donations). I found out about the app on tik tok and it’s everything I was looking for.

So many issues
I like the concept of this app, and I paid for premium even though I only have one friend lol, but this app has all sorts of issues recently. My friend and I keep getting notifications that we’ve pinged each other to sort our transactions when we haven’t pinged each-other at all, and up until a week ago didn’t even have a way to ping!! At one point last week my only friend disappeared from my list, and me from hers, nowhere to be found. Came back 2 days later, didn’t do anything to get her back. Now the spending vibe is gone which is literally one of the main selling points for this app!! No vibe for me nor my friend, and countless issues, but a good app idea. Desperately needs some fine tuning and bring the spending vibe back, or fix your ads so they show what you’re actually getting, especially if you have to pay money for it

APP STOPPED WORKING
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE APP HAS STOPPED WORKING I’ve had this app for 2 years (since September 2022) and used to be a huge fan… HOWEVER over the past two months this Oops has gone downhill to the point where i wouldn’t recommend it anymore 1. Routinely disconnects my accounts and purchases I’ve made will no longer show up in the sort tab so the app is BASICALLY USELESS 2. there is no ‘help’ option, no FAQ, nothing. you have to text a random number and they never respond to you Does not do its basic function anymore — sorting transactions into categories. I don’t care about seeing what my friends spending habits are if THE BASIC FUNCTION OF THE APP DOESNT WORK ANYMORE UPDATE: As of August 2024 the app has completely stopped working. I was signed out of my account and there is no way to sign back in or even try to create a new account. The ‘Help’ option continues to not work.

Love this app!
This makes tracking so simple and top of mind. The UI is amazing. You’re shown each separate transaction individually, and have to resolve each by tapping the category it belongs to. If it’s something you weren’t planning for, you oops it. Not overly complicated, just simple, basic categories to get the gist of where your money is going. They’ve also made some updates that allow for income tracking so you can see your income compared to what you’ve spent at the top of the page. Seriously love this app, recommend to anyone trying to budget and be continuously mindful of spending habits

DO NOT DOWNLOAD - No longer works - useless
At first this app was great, I used it routinely to track my purchases. It was perfect for keeping track of when my fiancé and I would Venmo each other for stuff since my normal bank accounts don’t track the categories from Venmo. Over the past couple months there’s been a few times where it stopped logging my purchases, but relinking my bank account always fixed it. However, as of September 2024, the app completely stopped working. When I clicked on it, all I got a was a loading screen. I tried signing out - didn’t work, I tried deleting the app and redownloading it - didn’t work. It asks me to put in my phone number and just doesn’t do anything. Based on the reviews, I’m not the only one so don’t waste your time downloading this.

Could use some updates
Overall I like this app. It's easy to use. Here's what I think needs to change: - $5/month for the premium version is too much. Ideally it'd be $2/month or less. - There should be an easier way to edit the tags. Right now, you have to either wait for a new transaction to pop up and then create a new tag but there's no way to edit preexisting tags once you've made them (that I know of). - Some things you should be able to classify as investments, loan payments, etc. but have then excluded from your "spending" that month. This would help me see what I've spent on things that are choices vs money that's designated every month to one thing

Cute and easy to use!
Everything is super super easy to use. You just connect your bank and then file your purchases into categories. I wish that we could create our own categories though because I have things that I buy regularly that I have to put in a different category. I also wish that we could split purchased because one purchase has to be put in one category. Overall very good app to see clearly what you are spending and where your money is going.

Definitely still improving
I got this cause of tiktok and it’s been okay to keep track of my spending. I don’t enjoy that it asks me about pending transactions and counts them as +$ rather than just mark them as pending and can be sorted later. I have to exclude them and go back after a couple of days to sort them. I also can’t check my friends vibes anymore because it keeps saying my app needs an update, but every time I go to update it it just says the same thing and never changes. It also tells me like once a week that if I don’t claim my account it’ll expire but im active on it to sort my transactions. Otherwise, it’s fine.

Used to love this app, but $5 a week for it IS an oops
I’ve been an Oops user since the beginning and find the app perfect for tracking my spending. I really enjoyed the simplicity and ability to look back. Unfortunately today the app is prompting me to purchase a subscription and won’t show my my historical data. Im so glad I got to use the app for so long in its hey day, but I’m so disappointed they went with this model. I don’t think I’ll be paying the subscription at $5 per week, maaaybe I’d pay $10-20 for the year, but while I love the app, and want them to succeed, it just doesn’t deliver enough value to pay much more than that. I’ll miss you Oops, been a loyal user, submitted feedback and bugs, joined your IG channel and everything, but today is deletion day.

Great app
This app shows so well of how i spend my money. the folders to choose from are very organized and there’s the option to exclude transactions which is helpful since i transfer money between the two bank accounts i have on there. I will say once you’ve picked any folder for the transaction you can’t move it to the excluded if you go back after completing all the transactions. i also wish there was a way to add your own folders, but a very well functioning app and aesthetics.

as it gets more traction it somehow becomes less useable
i started using it in august of 2023, as more people use it-which is great!- they lockdown more features as exclusive or behind a paywall. there should not be a paywall to features that were one time free and accessible with the basic app. especially to beta testers and legacy users. why would i want to pay 40 dollars to try and spend LESS money. and to pay for things that at one point-were free. the social aspect that was added was great. and budgeting tools are something that can be used behind a paywall or as an exclusive feature of oops pro. but i shouldn’t have to pay to view my previous months spending. that should at the very least be something that’s included in the basic app.

App Gone Downhill
I’ve been using this app for a long time, and now the entire thing is behind a paywall. Can’t access it all. The fact that many things were becoming blocked behind adding friends and paywalls when I had a access to them previously was the first red flag. At least have something available for older users to use the app the same as before, making new ones pay. But even that is not very acceptable. Will be deleting and I do not recommend, there are other ways to track money. Though I did like that the app was simple to understand and had a connection to friends/see others major spending. Could’ve been good if you guys weren’t so money hungry.

How to budget without a budget
Anyone who has ever tried to stick to a budget knows how difficult it can be. Why is it the only way to be financially responsible? I always wanted a finance tool that just helped me track not budget. The way I think about Oops is like a way to be on top of my finance without being told to spend less. They just give you the data. Oops team is literally the best at design and notifications. Very fun and aesthetic. Excited for new features.

CAUTION: Do Not Download
Once you create a new account, you will not be able to exit the guided tour despite restarting the app. As you follow through the tour it will require you to connect your contacts and select someone in your contacts that you “often split bills with”. Once you click them it will draft a message to them to download this “new app”. There is no way to exit this guided tour and you cannot click your profile/account details either to delete your account or to even find another way if exiting the tour. Either this is a major bug or a total scam to get your contact information and not allow you to delete your account.

Trying too hard to become social media
It was a great app for tracking monthly expenses before half the app became hidden by a paywall. It’s ridiculous to have to spend money just to see where your money is going. Also no options to remove notification so you’ll get multiple notifications trying to get you to add friends and updates about expenses that random users have been logging on their own apps. Got to the point that I had to turn off notifications. But this then defeats the purpose of keeping track of purchases immediately. Started out as an awesome easy to use organizer but is now too irritating to use regularly.

Useless when everything is hidden behind paywalls
When i first downloaded this app, it was nice. It was simple and a fun way to manage my finances. Then, one by one, features started to be taken away and hidden behind paywalls. You suddenly couldn’t look at weekly summaries, see your friends’ summaries, and data like where you’ve spent the most money or basic financial health measures were blocked and you could only see them by paying. It got to a point where i never opened the app anymore because the app did nothing for me. Rocket Money is a MUCH better finance app that has an optional subscription that is soooo much cheaper with many more features.

Great idea but requires some more features
I love the idea of easily, in a gamified way, organizing transactions and this is something I’ve been doing manually for the past 3 years. The one thing that would make me switch from my manual process to using this app exclusively would be the ability to create my own categories and format which tiles are displayed. I categorize everything into 6 main categories and if I could just have those with custom names, this app would be perfect. As they add features like this, it’ll become a really awesome app!

Starting out
I just got the app last night and I and enjoy the fact that you can manually sort out each expense into a category. It would be cool if eventually the app memorized your patterns and you could opt in for automatic sorting (might already be a thing) But most other spending habit apps automatically sort your transactions and often times get them wrong which is why I enjoy this app so much.

I used to love this app
I’ve been using this app for probably almost a year now and I was obsessed with it. More ads have popped up recently which was fine but just a little annoying because they started making things paid requirements that used to be free but I ignored that. Until a page has popped up on the app that WILL NOT LET ME PAST IT until I agree to sign up for a trial for the paid subscription. I’ve closed out the app and reopened many times, there’s no option to X out of this page, so this app is literally only useful now to see an ad for their paid subscription and it’s usable now unless you pay. Guess I’m deleting it

Won’t connect to bank
My bank has the option to connect with plaid. I went through the tutorial and completed it then it comes to linking my bank. A few steps later after I put in my bank info I’m told that my institute is not supported. Mind you it listed my institute. On my banking app I got a notification that my account was linked with plaid. When I went back into the app to try it failed yet again. The app won’t connect to bank but says that it has. It won’t let me proceed until I connect my bank. I did reach out to customer service about an hour ago ( 9:23 pm ) and have still gotten no response.

Great app. Needs some changes to be perfect
Really like this app. I prefer it to Mint for a few reasons. One, the UI is friendly and easy to use. Two, mint gets the categorization wrong and it’s a pain to change. This app you do your down categorization. Three, I just like the UI better. The downsides to this app: - No Apple Card support. Please bring this! - Cannot customize the six categories at the bottom (would be great) - I don’t think you can create your own categories Something to note is that if you have 2FA with your AMEX, you might have problems. Same with mint. Turn off your 2FA or you’ll have to re log in every time. Overall, great app that shows finances in a perfect way. Makes it sort of “fun”. Will definitely continue to use this app!! Definitely recommend

Scam
As soon as I downloaded the app I immediately had fraudulent charges directly from my bank acc the same day I logged into my “oops” acc.. I then immediately deleted the app but thought It was weird in the first place that they were able to connect w my bank so easily w no verification from my bank. I learned my lesson to not trust third party banking apps especially since almost every bank has an app for this purpose. I would 100% recommend everyone to chose a safer option to track their payments etc. they are taking advantage of young adults that want to keep track of their finances.

Great app….but how is it free??
My wife showed me this app, and it is great! My biggest question after playing with the app: how in the world is it free?? I read through the terms of agreement, and it discusses paid subscriptions, which makes complete sense. But I haven’t seen anything about paid subs on the app itself? Are you waiting to build a client base before you start charging for subscriptions? If so, how will you notify users? And what is the cost?

I used to love to this app BEFORE it got popular and they started making you pay for everything. You used to be able to get your weekly updates about how much money you spend for FREE and now that’s in the pro and you have to pay for it! i brushed it off because I just mainly used it for budgeting but now I can’t even get in the app because I have to invite people to get back in the app I’ve had for MONTHS. Oh and if you want to have the option to not be forced to invite someone you have to get pro too! It’s disgusting how companies try to charge you for everything now.

It sorts your transactions. It does what it is advertises. Having a couple more options to visualize spending out be nice, and I would also like the option to search/filter by keywords. The app load time, especially the transition from the sort screen to the data screen could be improved, like by a lot.

Been using it for a few months now to track my finances. You used to be able to go back to previous months and view all of your spending and everything like that. They recently changed it so that it only tracks 2 months at a time, and all other months are “archived”, meaning it ONLY shows the amount of money spent that month unless you pay a monthly or yearly subscription. This is absolutely ridiculous to me that an app claiming to promote financial management wants you to pay a subscription to do so. Completely contradictory and a bit ironic.

I want to like it
I have been using this app since January. Everytime I start to love this app, a glitch occurs that either makes me re-sort all of my transactions, creates duplicates of all of my transactions, or won’t load my transactions at all. The thing is, it is such a great concept of the app. But it just doesn’t do its basic functions. It also tried to sell out a few months ago and made it have a bunch of paid features. I don’t pay for it and wouldn’t recommend doing so either.

Cant use the app because they want me to buy a subscription!
I like the app, it is very informative and tbh probably my favorite implementation of something that shows you where your money goes. Naturally a 5 star should be warranted, IF I COULD GET PAST THE PART WHERE I AM BEING FORCED TO BUY A SUBSCRIPTION. Either they need to make the X out of it clearer or something but I cannot use the application because upon opening the app I am prompted to a screen where I have to buy a subscription to proceed. Sometimes I get lucky and I can somehow go finagle my way out of it, but most times I cannot leave. So dumb.
