Japanese Passport Photo - Success

I needed a photo to renew my Japanese passport and living in the US, not all local drug stores/office supply stores offer the size of photo needed for this purpose. I took a picture using my phone (I used a ring light and stood in front of a white wall to make it easier for the app) uploaded it to this app. It removed the shadow and made the photo appropriate to use as a passport photo, I then chose Japanese passport for the size and paid for the photo to be delivered to my house. The process was easy and seamless, but this is where I hit a snag. The photo came within the week, but the photos were cut. The cutting was sloppy and all of the photos were cut smaller than the required photo size. Additionally the Japanese passport requirements mentioned to bring the sheet of photos uncut. I contacted the team for this app and they quickly sent a new sheet of photos, uncut, free of charge, and within the week. I am happy to report that the Japanese consulate has accepted the photo. Even though there was a snag, the team was responsive, professional, and quick to provide help. And the whole process worked. I can recommend this app to anyone in my position. (Just as an FYI, I did end up getting photos as Staples just as a backup. That worked fine as well.)

Don’t use this App

I had to take a picture last minute after hours I thought I would be able to use. My photo was accepted by the AI verification, but upon further review the human verification denied my photo. I went into my local DMV the next morning and they advised me to take the picture back where I had it printed to get a refund because it could not be used. My chin was barely sticking out of the required line up for the photo. I got a refund from Walgreens who printed the photo. I told this app about what happened and they said they needed proof it was denied. I already returned my photo to Walgreens and got a full refund I don’t have the photo anymore. I uploaded the photo that I did use, that was taken at the DMV. They still needed to see the proof it was denied. It’s so frustrating wasting money on something I didn’t use that was initially approved. If Walgreens who printed the photo gave me a refund why would you not refund me as well? Walgreens went above and beyond for your mistake and you still won’t help me out. Don’t ever use this app!!! Go into your local DMV and have them take a correct picture you can use. If the AI verification was denied I wouldn’t have used the photo. It wasn’t until 10 minutes later that the human verification came through and said it was denied. I’ve told all my friends, family, and co workers to never use this and go into the DMV instead. I hope no one has to go through what I did. Complete waste of money.

Good digital services but don’t order printouts

We used the app to get visa photos for Germany. After uploading our iPhone pictures, we immediately got the digital version of the visa photos. To ensure the best photo quality, we also paid $6 ($3 for each printout) to order the printouts. The app promised that we would receive the printouts within 72 hours after they were mailed out. But it took 6 days to receive them. Since we had to mail our visa application documents earlier, we went to the local CVS store with the digital photo files to have them printed out there. It only costed 84 cents total instead of $6 we paid on the app. Our advice is to avoid order printouts on the app if you need them soon. As for the photos, they were accepted by the consulate. So in the future, we will only use this app for the digital photo files due to its simplicity and quick service, but will use local CVS stores for printouts.

Easy and fast

My mother in law needed to have her passport renew. I went to several Walgreens and they stop taking passport photos because of COVID. I did some research online and came across photo aid app. Took pictures of my mother in law and submit it. Took a few minutes for the experts to review and sent confirmation that the photo is accepted and will be ship out. After 5 days of waiting, I look at the confirmation email and realized maybe I had imputed my address incorrectly and email customer service. But instead of waiting for a reply, I had placed another order just in case the first one was wrong. But after a few hours, Jessica from photo aid reassure me that the address in the first order is fine and I will received them. I then told her I placed a second order, and asked if that can be refunded. She answered quickly and said it would be easier if she refunded the first order. Having that said, I got the pictures on the 6th day and the refund on the 7th day. The customer services is stellar and I showed my mother in law the pictures and she’s so happy with them. I’m so happy I found this app for future use!

Easy App - Great Results!

I needed a photo for my app on short notice because the camera used by my local post office was broken. I rescheduled my passport application appointment for a week later and went on a quest for a passport photo Photo Aid was so easy to download and to use. I simply uploaded my photo and they edited it in less than an hour & I had the digital copy. I paid the little bit extra to have it mailed but the day before my appointment still hadn’t received it. I contacted the Company and they refunded my shipping fee and gave me instructions on how to get my digital copy preinted at Walgreens. When I picked up the print from Walgreens U wasn’t happy with the quality of the photo and was worried it might get rejected by the state dept because of a shadow effect outlining my head. The next day as I was leaving for my appointment, the photo was delivered and it was perfect! Highly recommend the app & getting THEIR print of the photo you need, just ensure you pad the turn around time because US Postal service takes longer than expected.

14 Days later. No photo.

I would give it zero stars really. I used this app once before for photos. They were fast and efficient. Even though they charged me twice because their app had an error, they refunded me the difference. But I had to email them after checking my bank account. Even though It was during the pandemic but it arrived in a timely manner. I used it again and have been waiting now for 14 days with no arrival!! I’ve emailed them a couple of times and they keep saying this or that. Even asked for the order number and payment receipt. *Sigh. After I ordered the photos, Dennis sent me an email asking to rate their app and service, what a nerve. I thought I’ll wait to see if the photos arrive in 3 business days.... well 14 days later and It has not and I have not heard back from anyone. They emailed to say they’ll refund I’m not sure if they meant the $10 or the $5 or both. Because the app charged me twice. Again! I’ll check my account to see if all monies were refunded. Now we have to go to UPS anyway and the passport application process had been delayed. And to add that we are pressed for time. Very disappointing. And passports aren’t cheap, who knew getting your photo done could be so stressful. (Especially when you’re trying to juggle your family and work).

Great for Expats Overseas

Expat Family of 7 living in Africa. I was a cheapskate at first, using the free photo for my infant’s first passport photo. Now, we had to renew our three oldest childrens passports at an embassy, so didn’t want any mistakes. Payed for the premium as I didn’t have a white background since we were traveling (had to pay for each child) and this app took a just a minute or two to check if it the photo was correct. It did say one of the photos needed correction, and I retook the photo. So I know they genuinely look at it or at least a good program does and explained what was wrong. They also emailed me with a online link to the photos and send the photos in an email, which is a nice service. 🙌 Sent to my husband, who was waiting at a printing shop and was fairly fast. Only complaint (and a silly one) was I had to retenter my credit card info manually for each purchase. Would be nice if they could have gotten it from my Apple wallet. They do have a PayPal option as well.

complete rip off

they get you to give them money by saying your photo works then after you pay them the money they say oh we need to do a more thorough review and guess what your photo doesn't work and it completely defeats the purpose of using this app because now you have to change all kinds of things that aren't even accurate. In my photo I was looking directly at the camera with my mouth closed with my shoulder showing and they claim the photo doesn't work because I have my mouth open and my shoulders don't show and it wasn't looking at the camera. Yet, Right before I paid money they approved the photo that I had uploaded. This is a total scam UPDATE: The developer has now sent me a message saying oh we are just verifying your photos because that's what we do because we're so great but they fail to address the fact that the issue with the photo does not match the photo. ie your mouth is open and you're not looking directly at the camera and there's not enough of your shoulders showing. When my mouth isn't open I am looking at the camera straight on. It's a scam to get you to buy the product and then once you give them their money then they reject your photo..

Great Option if you don’t want to take a new photo!

I was looking online for a way to use a headshot I already had as a passport photo, and this was one of the first options that came up. It’s great that they not only covert the image sizing, but they have a team that photoshops the photo to make sure that it will pass the government’s biometric test! It took a couple tries, like they don’t recommend smiling photos, but re-uploading is free! And they centered the second photo for me by photoshopping my arm in the blank space. The support and customer care team were SUPER responsive and helpful, which really made using their services much easier. If you want a copy of your photo right away/within the hour, I recommend having access to a photo printer with the right photo paper and print using the downloadable version they give you. Otherwise shipping the printouts takes about 2-3 business days, which isn’t too bad if you’re not in a hurry.

Fantastic app

I was initially looking for a store that would provide a digital copy of a photo. Most places that could were just aware of local document requirements and I needed different requirements. This app allowed me to select the country that I needed to submit the photo too. They have all the requirements for each of the different document types. The fact that the app and then a human validates the photo and they ensure that the photo will be acceptable by the countries systems. My initial photo passed the app checks. It the human validation picked up a glade that would have rejected it. I was contacted very quickly with detailed instructions for how to correct the problem and resubmit a new photo. I was very impressed with the professionalism. I then had to contact the app support team because I realized that I had selected the wrong document type. The staff were able to accept a new photo and switch the processing to the correct document type. The updated photo that I received back was successfully accepted by the countries portal with no issues. All of this back and forth about the changes were all done within an hour. I was extremely happy with the service I received and I will be using this app for all future official pics. I can’t recommend this app/service strongly enough. It was so simple, reasonably priced service and amazing support.

Awesome service and even more awesome customer service

First of, this is such a needed service and an efficient tool to help you in the process of renewing official documents or IDs . Secondly , the customer service is amazing ! I needed a Romanian ID photo for ID through power of attorney and the requirement is that the photo must be 3x4cm with a 7mm white base band .. so complicated ! The app did not have this option available so I emailed them asking if they do offer it . I did not expect a reply , to be honest . I got the reply within minutes and the photos were ready in just 5 minutes or so . I had to ask for a revision after I got a clarification from the Romanian consulate and again they were very prompt and helped me revise the photos . David and Maciej were the people that helped me out and they are deserving of all the praise. Thank you again and I will recommend you guys in our community .

Slightly unintuitive UX but it works of you’re careful

I accidentally ordered a “digital only” photo and didn’t realize until after a few days. I then ordered print photos, and requested a refund on the first order. The refund started processing about a minute after I sent the email requesting it. Good customer service to catch this kind of mixup, but I wish the app UI itself would have been clearer about what I was doing. Most people will be using this app once or twice every couple of years, and probably in a hurry, so it needs to be extra foolproof to help people like me buy the right thing the first time. So, if you’re careful and make sure to order print photos, it’s excellent. I really appreciate having the ability to get ID photos without needing to go inside somewhere.

Never received photos - scam.

Honestly I believe this to be a scam. Thankfully I paid with PayPal so I opened a dispute. They claim you’ll receive your photos in 3 business days via priority Mail but provide no tracking for said priority mail. Priority mail literally comes with tracking on EVERY item. Waited 6 business days and sent 2 more emails, no response. Opened a dispute with PayPal and received a response immediately from the company. (Go figure.) they offered to send them again (yea right) or refund me only for the delivery. Here’s the thing though, I asked for the full refund because I’m not using the photos they suggested I print out. They’re blurry/ less quality and it’s easy to tell from the attachments they sent. So I won’t be accepting anything less than a full refund via PayPal. I would not recommend using this app at all and definitely will be sharing with my 2 million plus followers to not use it as well. UPDATE: PayPal handled the case because I couldn’t come to an agreement with the company. PayPal refunded me in full. Suggested to pay via PayPal for safety.

All 4 photos denied at first location, accepted at 2nd

January 2022 update: We went to a different application location. The agent actually commented that the photos looked great and sent them in no issues. Hopefully the passport review will be the same outcome! December 2021: Went to our passport appointment feeling good about having everything in order for myself, husband, and two kids. They turned all 4 photos and applications away. They said all head sizes were outside of the dimensions. I asked for proof of denial and she looked at me like I had two heads and said they don’t have anything like that, they just can’t accept the application. The company won’t refund me since I don’t have proof of denial, just 4 passport applications still sitting at home. Out $40, now have to go pay for professional photos.

You got to try this

I spent $17 at CVS to have my passport photo taken. With COVID still around they only have one employee working. she was very busy that day, I waited to have my picture taken, but it came out awful and I was like NO ~~~ Passport photo stuck with you for 10 years, with so many customers waiting for her I didn’t ask for my picture retaken. Came home thinking maybe I can take my own photo and found this app. this app is so easy to use. I position myself in front of the window and set timer with 10 seconds. uploaded the picture and they view your photo and send follow up with emails letting you know if the photo is good or need to resubmit. Notify you when the picture was shipped. I will definitely suggest this app/service to my friends and family.

Good customer service

After I sent my initial photo in and ordered it to be mailed to me, I got an email saying that they photo shopped my photo because of some errors. Apparently there were too many shadows on my face but when they edited the photo to take the shadows away it made my nose very unsymmetrical, almost like a smudge. I contacted the app to tell them I didn’t want the photo, and they were very quick to help me resolve the issue by having me send in another photo. I will say they still altered the second photo (even though I took it standing in front of a window with full light on my face) by trying to take “shadows away”. While the second version doesn’t look so bad, they taking any type of “shadow” away on your face it makes your face look very flat and strange. The photo will do, and I just need the picture at this point, but I don’t know that this is worth the price.

Easy to use app

Thank you for the quick response after rejecting my previous picture. I did not notice the shadow during the first submission. After I receive the new passport shall submit another review. Overall taking the picture with the template made it very easy. It is nice that there is option to download the picture for free. I was looking for an app that would allow me to take a picture for free and then I would print it. However after thinking about the resolution required, no guarantee of picture quality, time consumption to get it just right I figured it is worth it to get the picture reviewed and printed. After all there is a guarantee that amount would be refunded. Looking forward to receiving the pictures.

Awesome app

I recently completed my application for an essential and sensitive government permit. I had the worst time of my life uploading a 2x2 and 600X600 digital photo image using my iPhone 12 Pro Max to my application portal. I’ve tried several apps, CVS, Walgreen, etc. So, I continued searching and found this app while searching for information on the web about the State Department. Yes, it popped up during my search. I uploaded my photo to the app, correcting it within 2 seconds. I quickly and anxiously uploaded the restored photo to the government portal and received a “successful” message!! Thank you soooo much for your assistance and this excellent app. I recommend this app to anyone who needs passport photos or any official digital photo uploads without the drama. Easy to use — fixed issues quickly!

I will admit I’m a 55 year old less than tech savvy person. My son needed a passport quality photo for a new job and I was clueless. After a Google search I found this app. It couldn’t have been easier! I mean total idiot-proof. (And I’ll admit that’s me!) Video instructions before were great! The fact that I didn’t have to orchestrate a perfect background was awesome! I stood my son in front of a wall that had a busy wallpaper background, centered him in the guides on the app, took the pic and BOOM! Done! I paid a VERY reasonable $6.95 fee for them to remove the background and make sure it complied with all the annoying regulations. SO WORTH IT! Don’t be stingy. It’s worth it! Thank you for making this SO easy!!

Super useful and easy!

These guys are life savers!! I needed a 2x2 jpeg image of myself and had no idea how to make it happen. I fortunately found Photo Aid and they delivered superior results! I took the picture in the convenience of my home and they made all the necessary edits to make it work. But they didn’t stop there. They went to analyze my photo to ensure it was in compliance with most government restrictions and even provided a video on how to improve the first picture I submitted. I re submitted a second picture and they analyzed it once more without charging me a second time. They truly are amazing and offer a lot more photo options. I will surely be using them again in the future because they are so convenient and so affordable!

Very convenient and easy to use!

I need to renew my passport. I needed a better photo compared to my last one from 10 years ago (2014), which I took at the local Walgreens. The woman there only let me take one photo and wouldn’t show it to me before printing. It was a horrible likeness but I went with it. When traveling abroad, I had TSA staff doing a double take and wanting another form of ID. It’s now 2024, and this amazing app allows you to retake as many pictures as needed before finding the right one. It took me about 5 tries lol. I am in Hawaii, the photos arrived in 3 days! Price is somewhat similar to the local Walgreens, it’s maybe a $1 difference depending where you are located but it’s worth it.

Waste of time and money

Due to photos being rejected from a previous passport application (done at Walgreens), I opted for what I thought would be better considering they have the photos checked to ensure they meet the requirements. Bonus, they offer mailing so you can do it all from home. However, they lie about the photos being mailed to you in 2-3 days. If you just want photos to print on your own it may be fine but I waited for over 3 weeks which delayed my application process even further. I kept getting the run around about where my photos were, and there’s no tracking info available. I ended up going and paying to get them printed which in hindsight I should have done earlier. They do respond quickly, but save the money and don’t choose the mail option. This ended up adding on 3 weeks to the already 8 week wait time for passports.

Lifesaver!

I waited until I got my passport back to write a review. I’m so grateful for this app! I was on a tight deadline so I could not afford to get my photo rejected. I used my iPhone to take my passport photo. The AI helped me identify issues so I could retake. The human touch up (which I paid for) evened out the shadows. And the print sizing enabled me to easily send the file to a local drugstore for pickup in under an hour. This app even gave me the confidence that I could smile in my photo (not recommended, apparently, even for a US passport) so I ended up with not just an acceptable photo, but also a flattering one! Would recommend this to anyone. I have dual citizenship so now that I know that this app works, I’m going to use it for my other passport application, too! I don’t think I can smile at all for that photo, so it’s going to take more work to get a flattering photo that also meets that country’s requirements. But with the help of this app, I know I can do it! Yes, I’m vain. And also a procrastinator. If you are either of those, and especially if you are both, get this app! Huge thanks to the team behind this.

US Passport Approved

I have a mobile Notary Business and Do mobile fingerprinting along w many other services. I do my own fingerprinting for FBI AND State of Alaska background checks. So I’ll be damned if I didn’t do my own passport photo. I knew I could do it w my iPhone by clipping the photo from the background etc but I didn’t want to deal w all that to get it to a 2x2. This app did AWESOME and it WAS SUPER EASY AND FAST! I’d say a 12 year old and above could even do it. I added the photo to my application for my renewal of my US passport and they approved it and sent my passport back to me with my spare photograph. Thank you for making this app! It deserves 5 stars which I gave it.

Charged twice for same photo

I tried this app some months ago when I needed a digital photo to submit. They took my photo and edited it greatly. As I was happy with the app, I decided to use it again when I needed a printed version some months later. I sent the same photo and told them that I needed it printed out this time. They “sent” it but it never arrived to my home. I complained and they refunded only the $3 that the shipping costed. I explained to them that I already had the photo and the only reason why I paid again was just to get it printed out. They told me to print it myself (I don’t have a way to do it), so I basically was charged twice to get the same photo! Edit: they read this review and understood my situation better. After that, they contacted me and gave me a total refund.

Quick and reasonably priced

I was originally going to get passport photos from Costco due the low cost but found out that they closed all of their photo centers. I didn’t want to pay $15 for one photo especially since I have two kids that each need one. I found this App online and took a chance on it, and so far it worked great. I was able to take pictures from home without having to find a white white since the app removed my dining background. I submitted them for a review and within an hour I received a response that the photos checked out. I will submit these with the passport applications.

Time Saver

I found this app when I was looking to see where I could have a self taken passport photo approved. The first photo I uploaded was initially approved then when I paid and it was examined by a person it was denied, since I was smiling with visuals teeth. They let me upload another photo, free of charge, and it was edited as well by the person and then approved. This was a super simple and convenient app to use for my photo and cost the same as the drugstore or post office, but with the added bonus of not only have the prints sent to me, they emailed me the digital print as well. Thank you guys for creating such a wonderful app!

Easy, fast, and accurate

I’m so thrilled with how simple and inexpensive this process was! I was worried that if I went to a drug store for my photo that there was no way of know if the person behind the camera really knew all the different passport photo requirements, so doing it myself and having the peace of mind that it was being double-checked by a real human was wonderful. The photo was reviewed with in an hour, and my photo arrived in the mail within a few days. I just received my passport back in the mail with no issues, and have been recommending this app to everyone I know!

Do not use. Waste of time & money

I’ve been having problems with this company. I paid for photos and to have it mailed to me. I never received the pictures. They then tell me to print it myself. I don’t think there is someone that retouches them because the retouch is so off. My skin and hair color doesn’t even match me. Then they said I have to get an official letter saying that the passport denied my picture. But I never received a picture. I’ve been getting the run around. They won’t refund me but instead tell me I can submit someone else’s picture (like friend or family) that would like to get it done. I can’t even get mine down right, why would I suggest someone else to them?!?! App is not worth it and has been a waste of time. Better off going to Walgreens or a place that does passport photos. Had no choice but to give them 1 star.

Simple, easy, fast

Great app!! I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get pictures for their foreign passport/ official documents. I used it to get compliant pictures for my French passport, after trying to get pictures at local pharmacies, unsuccessfully. Didn’t have time to go see a professional photographer. The app is easy to use, you receive feedback very quickly, and the pictures match the official requirements. I received them in the mail shortly after they were validated. It’s nice that someone verifies the picture is compliant before printing and sending it. Great app overall !!

Digital photo

I needed 45x35mm jpeg image of myself and went to CVS lol It was a mistake but I learn from mistakes ! CVS on weekend didn't have the staff whos familiar with their Kodak photo center well I got the photo taken paid the $17 n then went back on Tuesday asked for digital image and was told $ 56 for it YES ! I walked out with a smile knowing where to go !! Passport Photo online, it's one of the same and clicked my pic upload it on the app and walllaaa pic is ready for download in the correct format and size !! I will be bragging about your great service and support for a long time ! You got another customer for life !! 5 stars all the way !!

Baby passport photo

We have been to several different places and every time our infant would cry and not allow them to get a correct photo. Downloaded this app and it allowed us to take her picture at home while she was in her own environment. The picture was reviewed by a human once you purchase the photo so that you know for a fact that the photo is going to be accepted for the passport. It also is perfect bc it will add in the white background automatically to crop out the stuff behind you in the picture. Definitely recommend this app!

So glad there was this app!

The day I got this app was a day I went into Walgreens to get my new passport picture. The pictures sucked beyond explanation and the guy is telling me the new policy is to not smile. He even told me how to not smile and picked the ugliest pic out of the 10 he took… it was frustrating how bad the pictures were. Thought I’d give this app a try mostly cuz I didn’t really believe it. It took me a lot of tries to get the right picture for their standards but I finally got one and now waiting for them in the mail . Thank you for making this app.

The answer to all my (passport) problems.

We’re currently in the US applying to renew a British passport and I’ve been going nuts trying to find the right lighting and background. This was a super simple solution to my issue and most likely saved us a few rejections. It was easy to navigate the app and find the exact category I needed. And the outline to make sure our faces were aligned properly was extremely helpful. I’d happy pay the fee to know I’ve got it right the first time. THANK YOU! I’ll try to remember to write an update after our renewal comes back.

Great customer service!

Even though I checked and sent my order, I had second thoughts about the picture and wanted to cancel the order. Therefore, I contacted the customer service. They replied within minutes and offered me to send a retake of the picture which would be printed and send instead without extra charges. They overlooked and corrected the picture again, confirmed to me that it’s ok now and will be soon on its way. I am really impressed by the excellent customer service and more than happy! Highly recommend!

Passport Photo ID

This is a really simple and quality company!!! Not only do you take your photo from home but they check to make sure it is a quality acceptable picture for your passport!!! If there ever is an issue, their customer service is fantastic, polite, and responds quickly! I can’t say enough about them and their App!!! I used them about a year ago for my brother in laws passport pic…. And it was so nice I saved them to use again…. So now I needed a new passport photo!!! Highly recommended!!! I keep the App In my folder of travel Apps!!! So handy!!!

Best App for online photos!

I like that this company gives all the information, explanation and tips for taking your photo. They know and apply all the right measurements and background color for it. It's easy to order and then reorder more photos even after having placed the order. Shipping is fast as promised. I also like the guarantee that your photo will meet the requirements or you get another photo for free. Paper quality is very good. I'm very satisfied and will be sharing with family and friends. Falsely advertised the timing and pickup

I ordered an infant photo delivery- it was advertised as 2 day fast delivery, upon receiving the payment they gave me an option to collect it from a local Walgreens instead of shipping it. However I stuck with shipping since I had already paid extra for it. It didn’t come on the advertised date so I went ahead with Walgreens pick up because I had my passport appointment and couldn’t wait for their delivery any longer. After going to Walgreens they charged me the total amount $17 instead of $0.5 as they claimed. Overall it was very inconvenient, took much longer than how long it would have taken to get the photograph taken locally and falsely communicated me. Do not get their photo delivery service

Great service!

I’ve already shared this app on my FB page and local military spouse group since many of us are always headed overseas. I suggested to use this app instead of getting horrible pictures taken at a store with awful overhead fluorescent lights. I spent $30 on horrible photos for my son and I then did them through Photo Aid because I was so unhappy with the quality. I returned them as soon as they passed the quality check. Thanks so much! Quick and easy

First photo I took I thought was good and passed their pre screening process. However they individually review each photo manually and my photo was rejected due to a few minor issues. This was actually reassuring after correcting the issues and having it accepted. Secondly this is a cheaper and more convenient option that going to fedex or some other place as I can do it from anywhere. Highly recommend! Update: was a 5 star review for the app but changing to 1 star for the service. I placed a order to have the photo shipped to me with express shipping on 7/17 which was an up charge. I had still not received my photo 17 days later. I needed this photo quickly and now it’s lost in limbo (if it was ever sent to begin with).

This app is legit. No hidden costs or weird stuff

I needed a passport pic for my super crazy, high needs toddler. We tried at a photo place, but he just screamed. I researched how to do passport pics at home, and a website recommended this app. I was nervous because it only had a few hundred reviews, but it’s great. Two pics I took were rejected, and I knew exactly why, and I could retake the pic for free. They have a real person review it to make sure it won’t get rejected. I sent the pics to Walmart to get printed, and I’ll update this review if the state dept rejects it! Super fast responses, really nice app layout. I’m inpressed.

Best app ever!

I was struggling with passport pictures through other platforms. Ready to give up, I went on google to search visa photos instead of passport photos. This website came up and I downloaded the app. BEST APP EVER!! it had different options for photos, I saw what I was looking for.. in less than 5 minutes I took my picture & it cropped it to the correct measures!!! Highly recommend this app for anyone struggling to find the correct photo without having to spend more than $20 bucks

Prompt customer service

Honestly, you won’t be disappointed with the passport photos you receive from them or their customer service. I received my photos in a week’s time, including the weekend during the time of the holidays (Christmas). If I had questions regarding my photos, I just have to reach out to them and I will normally get a response back within an hour even though it’s 2am in California. Bottom line...you can feel reassured that you will get what you are looking for. I have zero complaints about this app.

Convenient and very affordable!

I just found this app for a passport photo I needed for my Senior parent. This is just so convenient and quick! I was able to take the photo myself with ease and this app made the process of ordering the photos by mail so easy. It may take more time to get these photos, but the ease of not having to go anywhere to get these makes up for it. I recommend this in my situation because I have enough time to wait for shipment and processing time in this case. Love it!

It’s a scam!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

The app charges you BEFORE your picture is taken or uploaded and then rejects all photos so you end up retaking and reuploading them and they keep getting rejected in a loop. I’ve tried uploading 4 different photos and the last one was a professionally taken photo that was perfect for passport, but every single one was rejected. I gave up and am now praying that my money will be refunded after I emailed them, but I doubt that I’ll be refunded since they are in Poland, not in the U.S.A. UPDATE: I have asked the developer TWICE for a refund because I already went to a store and took passport photos there, but he (Chris) keeps insisting that I try to use the app again and that I use it for someone in my family. I WANT MY REFUND! YOUR APP DOES NOT WORK!

Worked Like A Charm

I had to renew my passport and went to CVS for passport pics. Those pics were so ugly and I kept asking the lady to retake the pic, she finally said “that’s just how you look”, LOL! So I came home and thought there’s got to be an app or something where I can take the pic myself. Then found the Photo Aid app. Took and uploaded my pic, paid $7 for a digital copy, printed it on photo paper that came with my printer, cut it to the dimensions and attached to my app. My passport was renewed! Recommending this app to family and friends.

Excellent service, highly recommend!

This app was exactly what I needed. I have an upcoming trip, so had to get passport photos asap. I purchased photos for two people, but one never made it to me (there have been lots of mistakes with our mail lately). Customer service was awesome and sent me a replacement right away, so I was able to make my deadline. Both photos were accepted by the passport office with no difficulty. I am very appreciative and wouldn’t hesitate to use this service again. Thanks so much!

I would not use this again

I placed an order but did not receive any type of receipt or order confirmation. I quickly emailed their support email address for assistance but did not hear a response until I opened a dispute with PayPal. When they did respond they said they had no orders associated with my email address, so I used another service for my passport photos, paying yet again. When I asked for a refund is when they let me know I had entered my email address incorrectly. Why didn’t they look into this possibility when I originally contacted them to say something was wrong? Very disappointed and would not use this service again, especially after reading all the other bad reviews.

Only way to go for passport!

Was very unhappy with the photo taken at my local CVS, but was in a time crunch. Found this app and was able to take a much better photo at home and in under two minutes. Even better, I didn’t have to worry about my background because it is automatically cropped out! Couldn’t be easier to use and my photos arrived two days later (but you’re also able to download and print yourself)! Couldn’t be happier!

Oddest filter on photo

I had high hopes and liked the idea of this for my baby’s passport photo. Unfortunately the way they edited my child’s face makes him look completely different. I would prefer if it gave me the option to retake the photo vs selling me the photo by prompting me that it’s a good one then afterwards being emailed and told it needs to be edited. They edited it with a really unnatural filter. This isn’t Instagram where you can make a picture look like someone else, it’s a passport photo and needs to look like reality. I ended up changing the brightness on my original photo (unedited) and it looks fines so this app can work that way since it sizes the photo for you.
