I have been a $500 per month user of this work wave product. About a year ago glitches began with scanning location barcodes. The company took my complaint but had me do the work on my end to try to help them identify the glitch in the mobile platform. Yet still sent me a bill each month even though the problem was ignored. I just basically work around the problem by limiting my abilities within the app that this company alleges it’s capable of. Fast forward to about three months ago, when creating service reports then closing each one with a fee I’ve found that the software randomly double charges services to the invoice. Now if this was because of my touching my phone screen twice I could admit to it being my error. However, the double charging is happening sometimes a couple hours after I have closed that order and moved to the next. When I tried to get help from the provider on the matter they again blame me when I think it’s something to do with the app when it is offline. Again the company asks me to try to screen record and demonstrate when the problem is occurring. But how can I do this when it’s random and when the app is not even being used by me other than running on my phone until I get to my next location. I’ve since just been using the app at a very minimum level and nowhere near what they claim it can do. Certainly not worth what I pay per month.
A few problems with this version - lack of text scaling or interpolation of more than 5 lines per work order means your info will either glitch and either squeeze in the text immediately below that last thing listed or literally on top of it. There’s no excuse for this. Next is a slew of animation glitches, notably loading hangups for a few minutes before responding, prompting force closes and closing/reopening the app. We don’t need everything to have a pretty transition or animation- this takes up valuable ram needed to run the app and is completely unwanted. No option to chose other maps or navigation apps - nope, you’re stuck with Apple Maps which is the furthest thing from professional. Not everyone prays and sacrifices to the altar of Apple, so why the singular choice? Previous versions allowed use of Google Maps, so the omission is curious and feels like an obvious oversight. There are plenty of other tiny gripes such as inconsistent window sizing with menus, icons, forcing you to tap on the smallest of thumbnails to select a vital function. No so great on a 5 inch screen. These issues don’t inspire a lot of confidence for the developer. When a company relies upon it for everyday use and is almost unusable, it begs the question if there aren’t better applications that better suit our needs
I’ve been using one form of pest pac for a few years now. It’s really difficult to say which is better. There are certain things I prefer in the older version to this one and vise versa. This version sees to be buggy and prone to freezing at the complete screen. Thus making you close and reopen only to lose all the information you just entered. I’m certain this could be made much better. One thing I really miss is being able to swipe left or right to the next job. It’s seems as though the dev isn’t using the full potential of the devices we use this app on
This is a response to the development team and their response to my last review. Features that are missing from the current app that were present in the previous app or the ability to undo completing a job, and swiping between jobs without having to go to the main list. Other things that need to be present in the app to make it better is the ability to save targeted pass in favorites, and the ability to make multiple favorites list. Also a feature that would be beneficial as to be able to have specific buttons for taking pictures of different items or shortcut buttons.
I use this on a daily basis. Version 2 is way better than version 3. The appearance is not as clean as version 2. It looks more like a beta release. That being said, all the info onscreen is more spread out and not as compact and and concise as the previous version. I would have much rather preferred the performance issues have been addressed and the interface left alone for the most part. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Unfortunately, they tried to fix what was not broken to start with. If a car looks good and just runs a little rough, you don’t repaint it to make it run better. You fix what’s under the hood and leave the paint job alone.
From a technicians stand point, the app works okay for the most part. The only thing that really bugs me out is how much time it takes to put photos in the file. You have to take 1 picture at a time and name it as you go and it’s so slow, I wish I was able to just take a series of photos and upload them all into pest pac at once. When you have 10-20 photos of a job it takes far too long to post.
Works great for working with it. However when adding material I would love if you guys made it where you could select multiple materials so it would limit time. Only take a minute but if you save a minute each job and 10 jobs a day your saving an hour per week which would benefit companies on time management!
Overall great, but could use a little improvement.
One feature that I’d love to see is the ability to be logged into multiple devices simultaneously. I use my work phone to navigate, so I leave it in the truck so it doesn’t disconnect from Bluetooth. I carry my personal phone around, it would be nice to have a customer pay or what have you, without having to log into my personal phone, then back into my work phone. Second, I wish the sketch feature was more friendly and precise. Other than that, I have no issues with this app on my iPhone 8 or my iPhone SE. If both phone will run this app fine, these folks with crash problems need to get upgraded phone or perhaps update their IOS client. Thank you for this wonderful app, it makes my life so much easier.
Overall I think this is a great app and is fairly user friendly. There are a few features I wish it did have. 1. I wish you could view all the individual devices at one time rather than going through every subsection to view them. 2. I wish could have a favorites category for pests. 3. when using the acronym codes for pests I don’t like that I have to pick the pests twice. Just seems like a waste of time.
I use this app daily and it works fine for the most part. The one thing that I would love to have would be the ability to swipe from one customer to the next on the same work day. While working sometimes I need to look at the next appointment and I cannot just swipe to the next one. I have to go back to the daily calendar. One swipe would be very helpful! Thanks
4/5 stars bc EVERYTHING has room for improvement! 🤩👍🏻 That being said, the app is phenomenal. Only problem I’m having is that when I go to make a “Favorite”, for some reason “Target Pests” & “Areas” do not save! Developers said no one else has had this problem but if they could find a way to fix it then that would be great!
I love this app as a tech. The 3.0 is much better with easier interface. One thing I would recommend is being able to check schedule and jobs without having to clock in and making it harder to keep up with time. Other than that love it!
On the activities screen I can no longer see my devices. I have to go into each individual area to locate a device, in my factories and hospital that’s not convenient at all. My app is crashing a lot as well. Would very much like a way to add photos to a customer’s report as well to reference any conditions they may have had, which brings me to my next complaint. I can’t even add a condition in my app.
This app lacks features and does not get frequent updates
Cannot upload documents only stuff from photos,which are not documents. Need to be able to upload docx and pdf. Also the sketch feature is a joke. They said they were coming out with something better for sketching,but are being slow about it.
The previous version of PP mobile was much more user friendly . You cannot open an appt unless you’re timed in which is a big negative as far as I’m concerned. For instance, if I want to look at schedule and look at order notes for the next day , I can’t ?? That should be fixed !!! Otherwise it’s ok except can’t save favorites like the old one ...
After the latest update I can’t even check off Sentricon stations as being completed. The app tries to tell me to “scan stations in order to proceed”. Well, that would be all fine and dandy if I could actually do that without the app trying to add a new station every time I scan a station that’s already been installed. Please fix this so I can just click the station and mark that it’s been inspected!
I am getting logged out at least once a day, sometimes more. I am also crashing the app when trying to print a bait inspection order after inspecting Sentricon. As of now, I can’t physically print a copy to leave behind for the customer. This is occurring only on sentricon orders and doesn’t do it every time but a good bit of the time.
In my job I put all accounts on one day to know how many I have for the month. This new version doesn’t tell you how many you have it gives the number with a plus. It also won’t let you move accounts back to the original day it says you cannot reschedule in the past. Like I said the first version was so much better I hate this one and my work makes us use it
The app is good but needs to be able to make pest service appointments when they are do , instead of just putting it down for the next month. Some Customers are done at Quarterly intervals.
Old version we were able to use google maps, this one we can’t, other then that it works well. Occasionally I get disconnected with my scanner, but I can work around it.
This program is real old. To many redundancies limiting productivity. You have to pay extra for the most used form of communication, text. While this program has a lot of options, it lacks intial import of information, any real training, and daily hurdles to make it workable. They have more add ons that an airline. Do yourself a favor and find another program.
New update has improved. Still room to improve. You cannot delete your favorite chemicals you've saved. Also the app crashes at least once a day. Fix these issues and you have a 5* app.
When the service address is clicked on it automatically opens the Apple maps that doesn’t work very well in my area. No option to change this to Google maps. Also has trouble refreshing when new appointments are added for the same day.
This most recent update won’t allow the user to see long address information. For instance an apartment number or letter after the street address. From what I can tell there is no way to see the entire address from the app. The user must access the PestPac website to get the information. Please correct this
This app is not great at all, every single time I try to draw on the diagram, the app shuts off. It can’t even put lines. You can’t duplicate lines which would make the drawing twice as fast, when it does work at least which is pretty much never. Seriously, update this man
The daily list of the previous app was laid out in a cleaner fashion and easier to see stops and appts at a glance, the rest of the app is coming along and the page once you tap into the acct is better than the previous app.
Application has been having problems with the signature “save” button which no longer works, you have to hit the back arrow to change screens, but it does save the signature.
The graph feature is a joke. Better off drawing a diagram in the dirt with a stick😑. You can’t erase part of a line so the rectangle tool is useless and precisely lining up two or more lines is almost impossible. There is no move tool to nudge lines into place.
This app doesn’t even have notifications for new tickets that are being added to my schedule. I have to go into the app periodically to see if I have a new ticket.
We need to be able to have our sales teams create, edit and manage leads through this app. The update description says this is possible, however there is no where in the app to do this.
Everytime the tech me, or a customer signs the whole app shuts down and has to reboot and I have got to log back in since the new update! Can we fix this?
When selecting areas which were treated, the app freezes up and crashes. This decreases productivity throughout my day to day operations. Patchwork needed.
As a manager, I’d like to be notified whenever one of my techs collects cash/check payments. That way I can assure that these payments are deposited rt away.
This new update was a mistake and takes longer to fill out reports now. The device section is clunky now and less streamlined. Complete garbage. Wasn’t a fan before, but now... I disdain it
Been using pestpac for over 15 years and this last update was a disappointment. All techs are locked out of the app and it’s been a rough 2 days. Let’s get the patches uploaded and return to normal operations.
Several issues still remaining with regards to: 1. Losing client names on signature panel. 2. Eating up tons of battery. 3. Unable to approve time cards. 4. Scanning issues. 5. External Bluetooth connection issues. 6. Lack of flexibility using app while clocked out for lunch. Wish some of these issues were addressed prior to release.
