I actually like the app. My information is always available when I need it and I never have a hard time opening the app. or have issues getting updated information on transactions. I like that I can get a text message anytime payments hit my account and can keep an eye out for payment that should not be hitting my account and can stop those transactions before they wipe or hit my account instead of having to deal with the fraud department to get my money back.
The app lets you check your balance and deposit checks, which is very useful. However, every single time you want to deposit a check, no matter how many times you’ve done it, it will always make you dismiss two screens explaining how to use the mobile deposit feature. There is no way to disable this pop up. I understand the need to have the instructions appear the first time I use a feature, but I should be given the option to disable that message after I’ve seen it once, with an option in settings to reset all instructional messages.
App does its job but every couple days when I enter my pin it says “missing json dictionary” I close it try again and it says “authentication required” which means I have to log in again. If it was once a month or something that would be fine but every couple of days defeats the purpose of using the pin at all. The bank itself is fantastic but I’m starting to really despise this app..
Please give recognition to the ALL the staff at this location. The employees that have helped me so much are Arron and Jacob I honestly do not know how to thank them enough! They are always very prompt , respectful and extremely professional. I’ll just have to say one thing I have banked at Plains Capital Bank for many many years in Lubbock. I recently moved to the Dallas area and this by far is my favorite branch!
This app does everything I need it to do and more! I love the card control function that allows me to turn my debit card on/off and set transaction limits. The cardless cash feature is great in giving me quick and immediate access to my cash when I need it. I would recommend this app for all PlainsCapital account holders. I never have to go into the bank because I have everything I need at my fingertips!
I’ve never had any issues with this app. Very user friendly and easy to use. Like that I can see all my pending transactions when I log in. Love the card control feature, especially when I can’t find my card, I can turn it off within the app. Also I can make sure my card works whenever I travel to a different city. Moving money around is pretty simple and easy to do.
This app is very similar to most bank apps which makes it easy to learn for new users. It has come in handy a few times that I’ve left the house without my debit card, Cardless Cash option. I have also used it to pay friends with the People Pay option when I don’t have cash on me. All in all this app has saved me in more than one occasion already which is why I give it 5 stars.

Ill give the app a 4 star rating only because to me whats most important is the use of the app and navigation. No freezes , errors, or other issues so far which is great so far. I would definitely give it 5 stars if the app updates to a more modern look like top national banks. Iam happy with the app but there can always be room for improvement.
I really like the app. My only complaint is that Zelle keeps giving me an error message and denies me access. It started with my IPhone 8 and I now have IPhone 13 and it still does not work on my phone. I called customer service and they claim it is on my end. I can’t fix the problem so I do not have access to Zelle.
I cannot rate this app five stars because it never saves my password. Every time I log in I have to use my password every time. I enabled the Touch ID and it used to work before for a while but then it would automatically reset and I would have to do it all over again . Lately it doesn’t even store it . Every time I go on I have to use my password. It’s frustrating. The touch of feature needs to be fixed.
The PlainsCapital mobile banking app makes it so much easier to do my banking on the go now than it used to be. I love that I can style the alerts to my liking so whatever comes in and goes out, I know about it. The cardless cash feature is an amazing feature, and it makes easy to cash when you forget your card.

They have multiple security features in place to make sure you feel safe while using this app. They have cardless cash, people to people pay, Mobile deposits and more! Great app and great place to bank.
We are very pleased with the service we receive from Joshua Crabtree. He always goes above and beyond making sure we are well taken care of. It’s service like this that matters 100% Btw, it’s difficult to find great customer care in other banks
When the app does open (less than 1/2 the time), it does not accurately report my activity. Expenditures may not show up in the app for up to a week- there are some that have taken almost a month to post to the app. On some occasions a charge will post, and then show that the charge was reversed, and then take it out again. My balance rarely reflects an accurate amount. If you want to offer mobile banking, I think that’s brilliant, but maybe make sure your platform doesn’t make people want to tear their hair out.
I love that if I’m not where near my bank I have access to my accounts. If I forget my debit card, I am able to use my phone at the ATM and get cash out. My favorite thing is card controls. I have control over my debit cards without having to call my banker for everything.
I absolutely enjoy the ease of this app and the awesome layout. It has made my life a lot easier being able to easily bank on the go and saved so much time! Thanks to the great PCB Team for simplifying the process of online on the fly banking!
I’ve been with pnb for over 40 yrs and have never once gotten anything but great service in every single department. My whole family banks here and have since they open their doors.
Really would appreciate if there was a way to copy and paste routing and account number from the app. Aside from that, I’ve had no issues and frequently log on. ————— New banker, and so far no issues with the app just wished we’d get notifications for every time card is swiped.
I love using the app for all of my banking needs, access is quick with either a fingerprint or passcode and I have the ability to do anything I need including view checks, make transfers or even process bill payments!
This app is wonderful and very user friendly! I love the card controls and all the amenities it has to offer. It makes life just a little easier for those of us always on the go! Highly recommend.
Every time I lock myself out of my app or online banking I have to come into a branch and have them reset my password. It is very inconvenient and it should be easier to change. I do like where I receive a text when I make a charge and I love the cardless cash option.
Based on the other reviews of this app, I had very low expectations. But I haven't had any trouble with it. I use People Pay a lot now, and I also like the card control section.
do on the app, like file a lost card or freezing the card for whatever reason, like looking at your whole account information, checking credit score for free. Loans or credit cards you can apply for ect ect ect.. I been banking with you all for over 15 yrs and you all getting worst and worst..
This app on several occasions does not let me see my pending transaction. I log in and I see nothing pending and after logging out and logging in several times there it is all my pending transactions. Super frustrating! At this point I’m still logging in logging out and deleting the app reinstalling and nothing.
Very easy if you follow directions given to you. Remember, credentials are case sensitive, etc. Love that I can transfer funds, see my balances and transactions at anytime!
