Premier America Credit Union- A Model For The Banking Industry
I am a senior, by theGrace of God, 78 years old/young. I’m a client of Premier America for the past 14 years. I more than appreciate the services rendered to me by Premier America, I actually treasure the individuality of the service; I have reached out to the CEO Rudy Pereira and have received his personal and generous response. When I have concerns, I am able to speak with “concerned” personnel of “my” bank, rather than to a computer. I have over the years, dealt with most of the major players in the banking industry, none of them have come remotely close to the personal service that I am blessed to receive from Premier America Credit Union.
The functionality of the older app was nice and simple. Almost everything was able to be done in the app without opening a browser including bill pay, atm/bank locations, etc. now so many tools require the app to open a browser which is not mobile friendly and in the case of bill pay, has you choose between desktop or mobile version. If I wanted to use desktop version I would log on via an actual browser. The new app is more aesthetically pleasing I suppose but in my opinion not as functional as the old app. It still has many great features and loading some pages is a bit faster than the old app so that is nice. I would just like for the bill pay, especially, to be integrated as a function within the app and not on a browser.
Old version worked every time. This version hangs often and I have to force quit and start over to deposit a check. To deposit check I constantly have to look at image to verify name. I never verify what this app can't read and just click the needed two or three more buttons to get the task done. Listing of accounts do not display in desired order as specified by the website version setting. Cannot change nicknames of accounts nor can I create a new account.
First of all, I hate this credit union, if it wasn’t so complicated to move all my accounts, I would’ve done it years ago. Second, currently the app is logging me out every time I am at the stage of taking a picture of my check for the deposit. Seems like it desperately needs an update, and they was supposed to be maintenance done last night, but today it is still not taking pictures of my check without logging me out immediately afterward. If this is not fixed soon, it will be the straw that broke the camels back, and I will move all my business accounts and my personal accounts to another institution.
I have been with premier America for years and never had a problem til they did this app upgrade. I had trouble at first trying to log in and called service for help. Real nice service tech got me squared away and I was good to go. Until.. I went to do a mobile deposit and found I didn’t even have the option. NO mobile deposit show up under transactions. So I call a service tech. So this very layer back young lady tells me yup she has been getting complaints on that.. so I ask? What’s up? Well she didn’t know. No solution, no answer, no nothing. Sorry? I’m sorry and ready to find another credit union!
I never write bad reviews but I’m so frustrated with this new app. The old one worked perfectly. Nearly every time I log into the app I get an error message (! Api Error). Sometimes multiple times in a row. I can never transfer money to another account without restarting the app because the “from account” and “to account” have nothing in the drop downs. Also you can no longer see what each debit is for without clicking on it and opening it up. This app needs some serious fixes in order to be as functional and user friendly as it was before. :(
The new app is slow, provides access to less info than before, fails logins often even with supposedly remembered credentials generating multiple failed login emails, often fails on remote check deposits, I now get the deposit receipts for my wife’s deposits to her non-shared accounts (when the deposits actually work), and the graphic interface is right out of 2007. Not sure why a good functioning app had to be replaced by this hot mess. BTW, the new website is equally bad. Login fails often even with correct credentials. Usually loads by the third try.
App support - I used to be able to leave app feedback in the app. But now I just get a general customer service rep who says they’ll pass on my feedback. The banner that says. “Click on a tile to see details”. Seeing as how this has been standard banking app behavior for years, I don’t need it spelled out as a permanently reappearing banner on the top of the app EVERY TIME I use it. Bill Pay. Why make me chose between full site and mobile. I’m in the app. Just present the app (mobile) interface. Or at least remember the setting so I don’t have to click it every time. Account sorting: sometimes (oftentimes) the account tiles will get rearranged as I’m scrubbing up and down the page. Face ID doesn’t work in newest update unless you open, close, and reopen the app. I’m sure I just a bug but why can’t I provide feedback on it?
The app used to be working well and simple to use. You keep adding things that are unnecessary and it changes the way the app works and responds. As of now, the new Kash chatbot that you added in the app makes it hard to access the menu at the bottom of the screen. I can’t even use the app to transfer money from one account to another. Stop trying to make the app more complicated. All you have to do is maintain the security features. You should fire whoever is suggesting the user interface updates.
This app looks better but is SO temperamental. The deposit check feature doesn’t work. This is a critical feature for folks who don’t live near a branch or simply do not have time to go to a physical branch. This needs to fixed asap. Also how is bill pay option not available and you have to go to a website? The app for my humidifier is more advanced than this. Please fix, it’s practically 2022 and these issues are just unacceptable for this day and age.
I’ve had this app for as long as it’s been in existence and it was great! It makes it so easy to do your banking online, including depositing checks. Recently, however, they added a chat option “Kash”. It’s horrible! It’s to big and takes up too much room when using iPhone. I’m constantly accidentally hitting it, which opens up the chat window ever time. It’s a pain in the a**! If there’s not any possible way to eliminate it from the screen I’ll be deleting the app. So disappointed!!
Inexplicable that they changed out an app that worked reliably well for this garbage fire that barely lets me log in, and on the rare occasions it does, crashes almost immediately. It no longer lets me deposit checks or look at the transaction histories saying the account is not eligible, despite doing so regularly up to the “update.” With no nearby branches, I will be forced to look for another bank if their mobile interface doesn’t improve quickly.
My biggest issue with the app is that it rarely shows me an accurate account information. It either shows more then I have (and then I end up with an non sufficient funds fee) or it says I don’t have as much as I do (such as today where it’s showing me My balance from yesterday). Makes tracking my Finances difficult.
They completely changed the app a year ago and it’s still awful
Sometimes I can’t get it to open past the login screen. Sometimes when I’m trying to use mobile deposit it logs me out multiple times during the process and I have to log in again and again. Then it tells me the check was already deposited. I wish they never changed their system. It’s so bad now, and it used to be so awesome.
User friendly interface and color scheme, I appreciate the big text as well for my own convenience. Some functionality could be better, including navigating to things like Pop money and other features that aren’t in the headlines
I installed this app to transfer money from my checking account bank to my Premier America account using my iPhone and my iPad. I must now go to my Windows 10 laptop to make these transfers. This app is not fully functional on Apple products. Why? LOGIX CREDIT UNION HAS A FULLY FUNCTIONAL APP FOR USE ON APPLE PRODUCTS. Also, I had a great deal of trouble initially trying to setup this app for even simple functions.
Why did they do an update the layout is terrible, is difficult to understand now the color of transfers green for deposits is gone, and also before the update the app would show you more information to your debt accounts such as personal loans car payments etc.. before the update it would clearly show you due date and due amount. TERRIBLE UPDATE!!
The app was great until the most recent update. Now everything is scattered and confusing, it’s very frustrating. It used to be five simple tabs now I don’t know where anything is. What happened to the widget in the Today’s View section? How do I get that back so I can quickly see my balance?
I have been unable to do Mobile Deposit since your update. Everything was less confusing before and it worked. There is NO links for Mobile Deposit! Please fix this problem. I have called customer service 4 times and have not received a solution. Ready to move banks
Logs me out in the process of taking photos and or submitting during the mobile deposit procedures. Occasionally the deposit still gets processed. Usually I try it several times:( Still better than going to a bank, but I’ve been spoiled by past success
In addition to the numerous issues with logging into the app. The Layout of the app is not user friendly. Links within the app don’t work and navigating throughout the app is problematic. Very frustrating when you have business to take care of and the app isn’t working!
I appreciate the services of the Premier America credit union, but their app is a waste of time (and I also regret the limitations of their check review process that fail to recognize checks written payable to our regularly-used nicknames or middle names? which are printed on our paper checks).
Since the update, the app is horrible. There is always an error that occurs for some unknown reason. I just tried to get in the app three times and it gave me an error and then exited me out. I can never have a hassle free experience with this app. It’s awful.
Not user friendly at all. Transactions are listed by transaction number which makes it difficult to match using Banktivity on Mac. Have been a member since Litton. May now switch all of our banking over to Navy Federal. Terrible move by Premier.
Been part of Premier since I was 9yrs old. I’m now in my 30s. Happy with the growth, the apps! Love it! The STAFF IS AMAZING!!! Always loving, caring and professional. Thank you!
Okay, i had just turned 18 this past month with the app I assumed i couldnt access Zelle from the app (i have also downloaded the Zelle app but its said “oh you have it on your premier america app!) but i dont see it?? Help!
I got the app so I could make mobile deposits but it is nowhere in the app! Am I missing it somewhere or is that feature not available on Apple devices? Truly confused.
This new app update is horrible. Very hard to navigate around and look bad. Seriously thinking this is the last straw with these guys. Thinking about changing credit unions over this app update. It is the worst.
I’m considering switching banks after this update and my pervious experience with Premier America (over 10 years). The layout is absolutely awful. I hope they will add the green/red font for deposits & withdrawals.
Previous app had Face ID. This is new and improved yet doesn't maintain one of the latest login options? Has Touch ID. Doesn't help for those who've updated beyond iPhone 8!
Terrible app and online experience in general. Have to do 2 step verification for basically anything. Won’t integrate with budgeting tools like mint or YNAB. I’m unable to get faceID to work with app. Premier America always seems a couple steps behind when it comes to technology, which I get. But basic functionality that any major bank offers should also be available.
Since the “upgrade”, I’ve been unable to log in from my phone 4/5 times I try. Switching banks if it’s not fixed. An app I can’t use is of no use to me.
