This is the best app to use for the smart home! I don’t have to leave the home wondering if I locked the door I can just verify in the app. I can give access to those and control when they can come over. Of course being able to keep enjoying a movie and changed the setting on the AC from my couch. Super easy to use!
I’m giving this a 3 star review because I understand this may be perfect for someone who wants an out of the box solution for a semi smart home. For others you lose out on allot of features and integrations being forced to use this app. My suggestion to the developer is to allow users the option to use your system or the native app for the smart device. I was hoping that connecting the smart hub to my WiFi network would allow me to do this but after multiple calls and messages to support we can’t seem to troubleshoot this. I’m not even sure if solving this would fix the issue.
Super great to utilize as well as monitoring your access. Being in Texas the weather is extremely unpredictable which causes for temp change frequencies on the thermostat. I love how i can access it from my phone without the constant getting up.
It was great the couple of days it worked very convenient to unlock the front door and control the thermostat. It suddenly went “Offline “ won’t connect to my WiFi and is useless now. so I’m paying monthly for nothing
It’s so nice to be able to control everything from my phone. Especially when I’m in bed and want to change the temperature. All I have to do is grab my phone launch the app and boom temp changed.
I have enjoyed using this service it’s giving me that sense of freedom, and being able to have total control of this app at my finger tips is really great to have! Thank you so much for the service!
This app has been a great experience for me and my family. We use it to lock/unlock the door, set the thermostat and the motion sensor. I can setup door codes for guests as well. Never had an issue with the app.
Is there an option to change when the lock auto-locks itself? During our move, it’s been one of the most painful experiences trying to keep the door unlocked and there doesn’t seem to be an option to change that.
This is honestly the first app I’ve dealt with like this so I don’t really have a baseline for comparison. That said it does everything it’s supposed to do. There is a little lag even with strong internet.
It has settings to change autolock time interval from 30 seconds to 1, 3, or 5 minutes, but when you select one of those options it freezes and goes back to 30 seconds. Very frustrating, please fix.
This app is trash! It talks to the thermostat but the thermostat doesn’t listen. It will not follow a schedule and turns off on its own after being on for only two hours. Support can’t seem to do anything about it either. I would also like to know who sets the “rule” as to why it turns off every two hours on its own. The only saving grace about it is that the door lock works properly.
The interface is a little counterintuitive at times and some settings aren’t super easy to find. Other than that it works great, no issues connecting or doing its job.
Desperately need functionality to edit the auto lock feature. The fact that my homes front door automatically locks after 20 seconds is immensely frustrating when I’m attempting to, say, take out trash.. or water the lawn.. or get the mail. Gotta add this feature ASAP..
I have recently moved in to a Progress rental home and getting the smart home app working has been the worst part of the whole process. I have reached out to Rently support and they were not able to fix anything. I have reached out to Progress Smart Home support and all they tell you to do is delete the app and reinstall. Bad app and bad support.
Yes, it is easy to monitor and keep track of how you want to adjust your settings. But, it can also be a headache sometimes the app changes my setting manually but, sometimes it doesn’t.
We are required to pay monthly for this thermostat by our rental corporation. The thermostat and app has never worked properly. Our thermostat reads 66 degrees but the app says it’s 79 degrees. The app will not let me adjust temp or settings. The thermostat also shows an alert stating the indoor temperature is 177 degrees!
For this to be called a smart home integration, especially for the monthly free, it ought to include integrations with google home, Alexa, or Apple HomeKit. Would be nice to be able to automate temperature based on if you are home and control settings through voice other than using the app… please add these integrations. It’s 2022!!!
I’m constantly getting trapped outside my house because there is no option to leave the door unlocked. Why am I getting charged $17 per month for something that I’d be better off without?
It doesn't work at all. I can’t manipulate the thermostat from my cellphone. And now the device is offline! I can’t believe this is part of my rent when its so useless and I can't even get anyone from support to help. What. A. Waste.
I do not like this smart app or anything about it I would rather do without it each time I have it set off it pops back in automatic when I want it off

Im confused on how this app has 4.9/5. The app isn’t great. Barely functional. The company is even worse. Please don’t take my word for it. Just an old tenant who got “screwed” with imaginary charges upon ending my lease. Currently taking legal action. Please, please do your own research before signing a contract with this company. 7/26/2023 UPDATE: STILL WONT WORK AND THEY WONT RESPOND TO FUX IT. PROGRESS RESIDENTIAL WINT HELP EITHER. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. meanwhile, my electric bill was twice the amount from last month. I have chatted with you. Called into support. And I have even emailed you. But I still can’t set my AC correctly from my app. Now the app tells me it’s one temperature in the house and the thermostat says it’s a couple of degrees difference. Why does it get colder in my house than the setting? Why won’t you help me????
