I’m new to sending in my own cards to PSA, and am genuinely happy with this app. The up-to-date information on the orders is great, and the images of the cards then they are both in the grading process, and then completed, are really breathtaking. You quite literally get the opportunity to follow the image of each specific card as it goes through the process. The line of communication that this app opens between the card owner and the graders and authenticators during the grading phase adds an extra level of ease and comfort that any hiccups that could arise are able to be discussed prior to finalization and shipping of each order. I highly recommend this app.
Service Ok, not amazing overall. Secondary market values usually make it worth it
I’ve been grading with PSA since late 2020. My overall take is that I think they’re the most inconsistent grader out of all the top 4 grading companies (BGS, SGC, CGC). Ive been getting pretty frustrated with PSA at this point in the game. I’ve graded about 1,000 cards during the last 3 years (with all grading companies previously mentioned - with by far the most being submitted to PSA). With PSA in particular, I find that about 20% of the cards in each bulk submission are “misgraded”, which is where the frustration comes in as I feel like I’m wasting money because many cards aren’t given a fair shake. Sometimes it seems like better or more expensive cards are clearly graded more harshly than “lesser” cards. The main thing that keeps bringing me back is the fact that sometimes I hit GM 10’s on cards (even if I didn’t think they were GEM), as some of these 10s provide so secondary market value that it makes the whole submission worth it. Overall I think PSA cares the most about making money and doesn’t have great attention to detail with regards to the grading aspect. 3 out of 5 stars for their service I think is fair. If the market demand ever changes down the line and they lost favor with collectors, flippers, investors, I would give a lower overall grade. Hopefully if the market smartens up in the long run, it may force PSA to improve these aspects. For now, I think it’s status quo. 💰
Absolute Garbage Unless You Already Own PSA Cards Or If You Know The Basics.
How and where do I send cards to be graded? Oh you just ignore all those customers who aren’t even customers yet making your entire app development irrelevant for the purpose of gaining potential customers? Surely You don’t assume everyone downloading your app already sent their collections in to be graded THEN they decided to download your app? You say I can just whip out the app and scan my cards but you forgot one little thing: NONE OF MY CARDS ARE GRADED YET SO YOUR APP IS POINTLESS UNTIL YOU’VE PROVIDED THE INFO ON HOW TO SEND IN CARDS AND GIVE ME A REASON TO DO SO WHILE MAKING IT CONVENIENT AND INEXPENSIVE. Unless you just expect your potential customers to whip out a magic wand and transform all of my ungraded cards into PSA-Graded and then download the app. Maybe I’ll go see if BGS is also ignoring the collectors considering to finally breakdown and send in their cards to be graded. Logic says they probably also skipped past the massive amount of uninformed customers because that would require effort. Who needs sales growth when you can just go straight to experienced collectors and sell them more products and services even though they probably cant afford it but they’ll bite the bullet anyways if those are the only bullets your pistol is compatible with. America: come for the stupid games, stay for the stupid prizes. Brag about stupid prizes until you forget that they sucked.
Although prices and fees have gone through the roof, at least PSA doesn’t take forever, like some of the others. With all of the competition out there, I’ve started using companies that use AI, and I trust them more. I got back a PSA 4 last time and then it got a 10 from an AI company. All in all, PSA is the best old school grading company. But, they’re way behind the times and have too many flaws in their grading processes. Plus, they’re overpriced. Still like them though. Beckett is horrible. Use anyone but them.
So the app is good. Checking on your items like dominos pizza style but the app is good. That’s it. It could be better but they won’t do it. Is gonna take 3 years for them to add the phone of the slab features like they have on the website. And it’s gonna take 5years for them to add way to let the grader know that they are taking their sweet time on some items. I have a shikishi that still in grading prices tru assembly and I already send 3 submissions that were much later than the shikishi and still waiting… 2 months now one a 30 day turnaround (at the time of submission) now is like 30 to 60 days but they told me is normal :)
People aren’t very bright these days. Everyone loves a PSA slab but yet none of these “collectors” take advantage of the registry provided by the very company adding all this extra value to their collectibles. They do however use this app to make sure that what they are buying from someone is certified . There is an increase on theft as well im sure it already existed.. if a person has their card registered, and it is stolen. They should be able to select from the same tab with active ,for sale ,sold , “ stolen” and it should reflect in this app as such to prevent the resale of someone’s else hard work and wait time.. the theft should have to risk cracking it for a lower grade or enjoying it alone in the dark for ever. * update You can add a card to a set and name it “this card is stolen 🚨 “ at least anyone smart enough to check the cert app will see and reconsider buying.
It’s so nice just to scan and actually come up with the right card I understand PSA has a barcode system but why couldn’t Panini or some of the other brands just a quick and easy way to find out how many cards of whatever you’re looking for there are seeing different values and there may be a system out there I just can’t see it so if anybody read this and knows about it please let me know love this appSimple it’s perfect
💎💎💎I followed the online instructions for shipping the cards into PSA. The app has worked flawlessly. The time frame has been within the stated window of grading as stated in the instructions. I have submitted a second order and I look forward to the results. Thank you PSA for making a first time guy’s interaction a great one. Two of the cards that gem 10 were from when I was 13 years old. Thank you PSA for taking care of my earliest PC. 🙌🏾🙌🏾💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
1st time grading, i was able to reveal the grades before actually receiving my graded and labeled cards through the mail. They give you the option to auction your cards before having them in hand, and/or sending them to their vault for your own safe and personal collection. It’s pretty neat, and although i waited three months. It wasn’t too long after that that i had other things in mind. The first experience is always the best! I get my cards tomorrow. ^__^V
If you are a serious card seller or vendor, then you are better off continuing business through your own outlets. The current amount of errors being made by PSA is just outrageous. Not listing cards then having to wait a week, listing cards with only a photo of the back of the card (that sells well), listing cards that are /25 as /50, they don’t bring more competitive buyers (2 rare PSA 10 wemby cards barely pulled more than raw value), then you pair it with how long it takes to get paid out. It’s going to cost you so much more… just to save on shipping.
This has been my fourth order with PSA, and this one consist of 100+ cards. I must say I’m glad they are the experts. I’m not sure why some of the grades are the way they are, some things I think will grade high, come back, super low and others that I think are normal, grade really high. They have such a great reputation and they know what they’re doing so I trust them in their solid decision-making
By far my favorite company as far as grading just sometimes hard to get a hold of and being so large I understand again you guys are the best. It just takes so long to get cards graded. I sent 98 cards and I know it’s gonna take a couple months in in the long run. you’re worth the wait. Thanks again for everything.
Using PSA has been great. Preparing order is tedious but the instructions are clear. Packaging is very important for protection. Keep the cards in order for ease of grading. The website is very nice especially when grades become available. Options to edit/customize and save the photos.
This service is not worth it!!! Don’t know if they are over working the people they have but consistency has gone out the window. I only send the best of the best of the best cards pre screening diligently and have been getting 8’s and 7’s. Would never waste my money again with this service. Oh and they have a built in reason to grade low in first submission because they actually offer a review service that cost more than the grading service if you feel it wasn’t graded properly. Let me say again “I will never use this service again”
Up to date Population’s for all graded cards. Easy to access certificates. Gives you a great idea of what your card is worth, what they are being sold for, and what they are being listed for. As I said before, you won’t find a better one out there.
I am new to the grading card process, and my first experience with PSA has been amazing. I really have enjoyed the tedious process PSA offers, made easy and simple for a new collector as myself. In a world where counterfeit sports cards are on the rise, it’s a valuable company to offer authentication at the highest level of service. High fives to PSA!
Grading cards through PSA is a large part of my business as an independent card dealer. I’ve spent years developing my skill grading vintage and modern cards. The professionals at PSA allow me to leverage that skill to support my small business and I greatly appreciate the opportunity they provide.
I sent in neat mint to mint cards and some came back 4’s and 5’s. Have no clue how they could get those grades, it’s easy to check other similar cards with those grades and mine are so much better. I read your definitions for each grade and by your own definitions, my 4’s and 5’s should be minimum 7’s… but I didn’t look under a microscope so 🤷♂️. I just wish I knew what was wrong with some of mine.
PSA outstanding track response throughout the whole process and very good in grading time. liked the packaging instructions very easy to understand, especially for someone’s first time in sending a card to be graded. Definitely will be sending more 💯
PSA gave me a 10 on a card which shot its value up to over $1000, making it my most valuable card. I’ve only been collecting for a little over a year so this was extremely exciting. Then, for no determinable reason, their QA reduced the card’s grade to a 9 before shipping it back to me, reducing its value to about $70. This is extremely disheartening; it makes me feel like you only get the best grades when you pay astronomical prices or annual memberships. I think I’m done with the hobby of collecting now. Thanks for that.
I have used PSA several times now and each time has been an easy straight forward process. I have no complaints, and with the photo recognition added to the submission process it is so easy and fast. A+
This is hands-down the best thing PSA could’ve ever done! It is so cool that we can interact with the company and get our card grades and do a reveal and all of that cool stuff. I wish that we could do a virtual tour of the grading facility. That would be absolutely amazing. I definitely give this app a 10 star!!!
Top tier company to send whatever item you can think of and have it graded/authenticated. I highly recommend this company over any other grading company in the US. They offer monthly specials and have a wonderful community that supports them! Mr1T
Just know if you were using this app over a year ago, compared to using it now it’s a night and day difference… The Newer PSA App has been a breeze to work with…👍🏾👍🏾
The app and service are horrible. Cards that are in the vault you wish to sell do not list. Updates take days and weeks for bug fixes that are not actually fixed. Imagine if ETrade had a bug and they could not transact anyone’s shares. Just the rumor would kill the company. Engineering cannot fix anything, hence they are not a tech company. This is the problem when legacy companies try to become something they are not. Overall Horrible service The simple e-commerce is a horrible experience with limited functionality, Visibility and controls. This is not an e-commerce company, let alone even having IT level ideas of what they are doing. Someone please build a better service!
I enabled two-factor authentication and it has been a nightmare. The app inexplicably logs me out every couple days, and then I have to go through the lengthy two-factor process to get back in. Once in, it says “null null” at the top and doesn’t seem to think I’m a Collector’s Club member. Please fix these issues and either make the login last 30+ days or enable FaceID logins. Multi-page logins are incredibly annoying.
In the more than 20 years between submissions, I must say that the all-around experience has been tremendously positive. I’m very pleased with my recent submission(s) and look forward to many more.👍🏻👍🏻
I had a 45 card submission. It took less then a month to complete and out of the 45 , 19 were 10’s. It was expected since a lot were vintage submissions. I will definitely be back!!
This is a easy app to use. As long as you have a computer to do the things you need to do when sending in a order. Easiest app to navigate once they are sent in.
They damage cards when you send them in and give you bogus story
3 orders Damaged my cards on all 3 Employees trash cards No phone to complain to Total monopolist trash company customer service A tops redemption card is a 8 good luck chasing 10, send cards through their dealer network and switch and grow rich the card shops set up at shows in different cities with your cards lol and they know it with serial numbers lol but they think it’s eBay sales ponzi cohen found em
Anyone who has looked on google for cards value will get excited because all the values google search finds are unbelievably high. So you get your cards graded and even at a psa 9 after grading your allowed to see a real estimate and it’s not 1100$ it’s $5! So I’m throwing all my old cards in the garbage, I even have a 1957 hank Arron that’s supposedly worth $50k but in reality on golden it’s around $30. Garbage to all. Waist of time boys
Great App for submitting and tracking your submission. Unfortunately the tools and research features are garbage. I have no idea what kind of algorithm or whatever is used for searches in Pop Reports and Auction Prices. Whatever it is, when I type in Caleb Williams I shouldn’t have to search through 1000 entries made up of every guy named Caleb or Williams who has ever had a card submitted.
Love all the new integrated features, especially the “Reveal”. Having the pop report right next to the picture of your exact card, awesome! Keep up the progress. Love the app.
Good luck trying to use this app consistently. There are so many bugs and it force closes 4-5 times before you can use it for 2 minutes then it force closes again. I tried submitting a ticket to PSA on the app, but it literally forced closed on me. Please fix this app!
I just got my first cards graded back (UFC Topps Chrome/Mark Hunt). I am overwhelmed with the amazing service quality, by far PSA exceded my expectations, now I know why they are No1. in this tight and coveted market. Thanks PAS, these cards go straight to my PC!
What a great first impression! Continually updated throughout the grading process, user friendly app, and wonderful customer service to answer the questions I had. I will be a return customer.
Submitting my first ever collection to PSA and their website makes it very easy and seamless to submit, edit, and their customer service is amazing so far. Looking forward to seeing the result!
I’m a bit disappointed that some of my grade on cards that seemed perfect enough to get a 9 or came back as a 7 or 8 and a lot that should have been 10 came back as a 9. Not sure if it’s pop control or if they got damaged at PSA.
Decent, but constant issues pulling value estimates
When doing a card lookup, there is no excuse to not show actual value from the PSA site, nor the PSA estimate. If the feature is broken, say something about it. I put in a support ticket a week ago and have heard nothing.
This may be the single worst app (and website) I have ever used. There is no way to build a submission on the app. When it takes you to the website to build a submission, it crashes ~1/3 of the time. It signs me out of the app/website randomly, and trying to sign back, it tries to make me create a new account. Please invest in an IT department to develop a more useable app and website.
This app has an enormous amount of data compiled for your use that would take months, possibly years for a single person to gather. Thank you PSA! This is an asset to any collector looking to be more informed.
