Great design and features, warning polygons delayed
This is by far the best radar app out there. The design is simple and clean, it’s easy to navigate, the radar data and detail is unmatched, and the app is overall very reliable. RadarScope has been the leader when it comes to viewing radar data on iOS devices for many years and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. With that said, RadarOmega beats RadarScope when it comes to warning polygons. The warning polygons are delayed, sometimes by a few minutes, whereas RadarOmega shows warnings polygons within a few seconds of being issued if not instantly. Also, the special weather statement polygon color is too close to the yellow of a severe thunderstorm warning and I sometimes mistake a SWS for a STW. And lastly, RadarOmega displays tornado emergencies and flash flood emergencies differently to draw attention to them. This would be a great feature for RadarScope to implement.

Best radar
The other reviewers are right-- this is the best radar and well worth the cost. I had purchased several others and put off this one because of the price. The other apps disappointed-- they have been inaccurate or slow to update. This one is precise and quick--so far is has never been more than a minute or two before it updates and most often it is up to the moment. And the accuracy has been brilliant. It has many features that I have not yet used, but i hope to learn them soon. I'm a weather novice, but I definitely want to know where the storms are, where they're going, and how much rain we'll get. This is the best radar by far! Update: the developer keeps refining an already brilliant application. This is THE radar application, far superior to any other out there. Absolutely one of the best purchases I've ever made for my iOS devices—beautiful on the iPad, crucial app on the phone, and a very informative glance at the radar on the watch. I bought the upgraded pro version and like the additional features: longer loops and lightening info. As with the basic version of this app, the cost is there but well worth it: this radar and all the features are the some of the best things on my phone. One of the top apps of any kind and one I will subscribe to without hesitation every year.

Needs a couple more features
I love this radar app and it’s by far the best on the market. I have nothing to complain about, however I do wish there was one added feature that would greatly improve it. I enjoy watching the radar and looking at storms even when they’re not near me, especially tornado warned storms. The only problem is when I see the storms, I can only see the general location of the storm with respect to cities. I wish there was a feature that allowed me to see the precise location of where certain storms are. Even if it was just something where I pressed my finger and it pulled up the latitude and longitude coordinates so I could search them. It would make it a lot more enjoyable for me and would help me to know exactly what houses or businesses are being affected rather than general locations. Another feature I would like to see is the ability to change the four quick select radars. I would love to have the choice of what four radars I can choose from when holding down on it. I would especially like to see the super res of reflectivity, velocity, specific differential phase, and correlation coefficient. As of right now, unfortunately I am forced to quick select the ones given and have to scroll a lot for the ones I want to see.

No radar app can hold a candle to this one
I have been a weather nerd since I was a little kid, and I’m a trained Skywarn Storm Spotter. I first downloaded this app in 2013 when a meteorologist mentioned it after I was complaining about how I struggled to find a decent one. Most radar apps have a smoothing algorithm that obliterates storm structure. This app does a beautiful job with with its radar display. I’ve struggled to find certain details like specific rotation data inside a supercell storm, the correlation coefficient to detect tornado debris, decent hurricane reflectivity to see structure of the rain bands as well as the rotation within (I live in Florida), or just basic resolution to see what part of the storm will hit my location. This app does it all and so much more that I could write a book on it. The features of data are endless. I’ve used it through Hurricane Matthew, Irma, and Dorian (and plenty of other tropical storms). The storm season here has me tracking several hundred storms over the years. I have it on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. There’s a reason all the professionals, scientists, and storm chasers use this app. It’s the best $10 I’ve ever spent.

It’s a Level 2 data viewer.
I’ll start this off by saying that if you’re looking for a way to view the highest res data available from the NWS’s network of radars on your phone, this does that, and it does it well enough, assuming only 5 frames of animation is fine with you. However, I really am a bit back and forth about the pricing of the base app. It feels a bit steep considering there is functionality that’s not included out of the box. Yes, I understand that the cost of development and running their services is not free. However, considering what you get in the base app is practically just NEXRAD Level 2 data, which is provided to the public for free (do the research - the NWS has made it available in different ways and there’s different methods of viewing it, at least on a PC), it just doesn’t feel right, even with the data being redistributed by RadarScope. I will still use RadarScope because I already spent the $10, and what is included in the base app is quality & convenient. But I have been exploring the data that is publicly available from the NWS, and I would implore others to do so as well.

The best high definition radar you can get on a phone
If you are looking for a radar that gives you the data straight, this is it. There are no smoothing algorithms for the radar so you can see what meteorologists see and make your own judgments. Even if all you know is green is good red is bad this radar is the best out there. There is a slight learning curve on what you are actually looking at and all the settings but the guide that’s built in gives you enough to get you started. Some people say this is all information you could find for free, which it is, but it won’t be nearly as convenient or as practical. 10$ isn’t anything for an app like this unless you are on the brink of being broke. If you decide to get this app and you just want the simpleton stuff just like me, select the super-res reflectivity chart and i turn on storm tracks in the settings. And just like that you have the best radar app on the market without even touching the weather nerd tools.

Ultimate Weather App
Living in tornado alley, I specifically got this app to look at radar velocity which can help identify rotation within thunderstorms. I was demonstrating this exact feature of the app to someone when I caught the telltale signs of rotation from a storm 30 miles to the South. Sure enough, the tornado warning came through just a few minutes later. It was amazing to watch this happen in real time. That’s just one of the amazing features that Radar Scope offers. My personal favorite is the directional lines for the path of each storm. No more guessing where the storm is headed. While I’m not a big fan of the cost for Pro2, the Pro1 plan still offers a plethora of advanced features. Also great to finally find a weather app that isn’t bogged down with ads. I highly recommend this app for weather trackers, chasers, and anyone like me that obsesses over the science of weather.

Suggestion
I love the app and all of that. All I wish is that you guys would add a couple things like your able to change the refresh time so like you could have it set to liek 30 secs and if there’s a new scan it would pop up because now it takes like 4-8 mins and I think you guys should add special weather statements I think that would be cool too. And that your able to change the color of the warning so like if you want a blue outline for a confirmed tornado on the the ground or a pink outline for a tornado emergency or a different color for a svr thunderstorm warning if you want if that makes sense. And have hail tracks and see the size of it and you could see what percent of hail you could get and what size of hail it is if that makes sense and better road maps if that that makes sense but other than that I love your guys app and hopefully it will be better in the future

Very Good App... Paying Extra Though
This app is amazing, it shows all you need at first. But my only problem is with the $10 just to get it you have to pay an extra $10 annually for the first pro tier, and $15 a month or $100 annually for the second pro tier. With the first tier you get the dual window feature as well as a lightning indicator, the second tier gives you all of what the first one does but as well as local updates and a whole lot more. I think for the $10 price tag you should get a lot of these features, or instead of subscription to just let you buy the actual tiers instead of having subscriptions. I just think with the prices that it makes it kind of unfair to people during bad seasons if they need local updates.

Not for your average weather enthusiast
Five stars because you’re not going to find anything better. Most people wanting to track the weather are not going to be able to figure out how to use this app. It’s not for those folks. Stick with your news channel weather app. You need to have a little more than a basic understanding of weather and at least some understanding of basic level atmospheric sciences to be able to use this app to its full potential. The features of RadarScope are unmatched. I can watch broad rotation turn to tight rotation then pull up the correlation coefficient view and see what is happening. See where the hail and high winds are down to almost street level. With a little learning you will be able to watch storm movement and know exactly where the danger is or may be approaching. Can’t beat the price for the service you’re getting.

Please make changelog popup optional
First of all, this is the best radar app by far. Kudos to the developers for making such an awesome app. To the developers: please add a setting so the user can disable the changelog popping up when the app starts up. It’s great that the app is being updated so frequently, but that also means that there’s this annoying changelog window that pops up, covering the radar, that must be dismissed when there has been a new update to the app. The more app updates there are (a good thing), the more annoying changelog window pop-ups happen (a bad thing). I would prefer to be able to look at the changelog every once in a while, and not be forced to on every single update when the app starts. A simple toggle in the settings would allow me to disable changelog pop-up on app startup.

Don’t listen to the 1 and 2 star reviews. Please read
First off, the people who are giving 1 stars probably don’t have a clue what they are looking at, the issues most people have on here are not radarscope’s fault, if your not even remotely into weather it can prove more difficult to interpret. That’s not radarscopes fault it’s the fault of the user. Radars are tools used by professionals, amateurs and ordinary people, the radar doesn’t lie on what it sees. If a radar isn’t updating it’s possible the NWS location (which is where the ap gets the data from) has issues, that’s not the apps fault. Sure the ap isn’t perfect but it’s hands down, it’s the best radar available on a phone or iPad. No other can even scratch the surface of what radarscope provides. For weather nerds is worth every dime. Easily able to add other data to get even more out of the radar.

Best professional weather app I have ever used! +One suggestion
I use RadarScope every day to view different storms that pop up on a storm active day. (I want to become a storm chaser/meteorologist one day) This app is very useful and very cool to use and interpret different storm’s details, locating rotation, seeing how tall the storm is, and much, much more. In my opinion, this is Radar Omega but 5 of them combined. Now with the suggestion, I would like it if you could change the color of he Draw Tool, wether that would be very customizable like a color wheel, or just like 5 or more colors already sorted to choose. But overall, this is the best app I have ever used for professional weather enthusiasts, if you are reading this and leaning towards getting RadarScope, DO IT! This app is awesome! 5/5 stars all the way

Do you like a national map that allows you to be able to locate local and long range storms? Do you like having high definition map overlays that allow you to locate exactly where the action is happening and heading? Do you want to have a weather app that is easy to navigate? Unfortunately this app fails on everything. What it does do well is charge 10 dollars to download the basic functions. If your disappointed by the basic application and interested and or already invested in the initial 10 dollars the next 10 dollars to get tier 1 access seems like an appropriate next step. Once you get yourself into the 20 dollar range of access you realize that it still is terrible and the next option to get the holy grail of weather apps is the PRO tier 2. It's only 100 dollars in addition to the 10 dollar app download fee. Also anytime you download the application regardless of level... your also agreeing to a contract that automatically deducts money from your account on a yearly basis. This weather application is the best...for it's investors.

Class of the Field
Started using this app years ago and I’ve always been a weather geek because I’m from the great state of Oklahoma, so ya know…hail the size of softballs, not to mention the frequent violent tornado or 10. Unrivaled accuracy and ridiculous amount of radar access. This is literally the “go-to” for meteorologists and storm spotters who need precise measurements and information in order to forewarn the public of potentially life threatening weather conditions. Because of RadarScope I have broadened my knowledge and have became an amateur storm spotter myself. My family and friends now contact me to give them the 411 if and when the weather gets chippy. I’m sure at first glance a lot of people see the price for the app and balk at it, but I’ma tell ya this much…the juice is well worth the squeeze.

Wonderful app, just needs to be CarPlay enabled
I’ve had this app for years. Depended on it for job related functions as well as home life. I live in the PNW mountains and no weather station has accurate forecasts so use the app to track snow and rain showers to time activities around. As basic as “should I let the dogs out now or wait for a bit until the rain lets up?” Years ago, I used the relative velocity display during a tornado watch and saw a rotation starting near my hotel. Opened the curtain to see a tornado touchdown a few hundred yards from me. Would be great if they could CarPlay enable this. As an RV’er and someone who drives a lot, it would be great to quickly pull up on the vehicle display to see if I’m driving into light rain or a heavy storm cell, rain or snow, etc.

Does as advertised
No complaints on my end. This is for advanced users and for anyone complaining about what the app does or doesn’t do, aren’t experienced enough to appreciate this on the fly system. If you’re complaining that it doesn’t show a nationwide map to view entire systems you’re not using the app for its intended purpose. When chasing or spotting this app will allow you to focus on an area of concern without a spliced image of the radar. It’ll also allow you to input addresses has the tools necessary to spot a storm quickly and efficiently. The only issue I’ve had isn’t something that I can blame on the app as much as I can my service provider is refresh time. Otherwise this app is money well spent for people who use phones and tablets while spotting/chasing.

Perfect in Almost Every Way
I bought this app long ago, back before the 2013 Moore EF-5. It has served me so well since then. And new features keep getting added, making this app basically a portable AWIPS workstation, minus WarnGen. There’s one thing that I’d love to see added, though, and that’s the ability to set our own storm motion vectors and have velocity products calibrated to that. For people who use RadarScope for chasing, that would make it so much easier. Other than that, this app does wonders for storm chasers who are looking for quick and easy access to site specific radar products. Oh, and the app will snap to the closest radar if you enable location. Even without custom SRV, this app gets five stars for its simplicity to use and the tools that can be had with the subscriptions.

Don’t believe the haters
I have to laugh when I read a negative review comparing RadarScope to Weather Channel or any TV or national app. If you understand anything at all about radar products beyond “green is good, red is bad”, this app is for you. If you understand SR velocity, this app is for you. My 15yo daughter loves this app as well, tracking significant storms around the country and asking me about the precipitation and velocity products, comparing what we see with media reports in the aftermath. It’s amazing to her how we can predict how bad the damage is from what we see on radar. Ever since her grandmother was killed in a tornado a few years ago, while we watched the radar signature from miles away, she’s been a disciple. Thank you again WDT for the best weather app available. It’s well worth the investment.

Great Radar App vs Competition
I have been using RadarScope for several years, but am always looking for good weather and radar apps. I recently downloaded another radar app, the only other one that can rival RadarScope in my opinion, but it is just so clunky and cluttered compared to RadarScope. Both have similar features but RadarScope is such a nice looking app by comparison. Recently in some strong storms, living in KS, we get our share of them, I ran these 2 apps side by side and RadarScope’s imaging was a little nicer and it had a little less lag. Since both are using the same NOAA radar data, it was great to see my favorite of the two getting more up to date radar images slightly faster. While this could have been an internet issue somewhere on the end of an app, RadarScope shined and you could see the tornado couplets very clearly without other unnecessary data showing on the map other than radar. Lastly, the widget features of RadarScope is so nice. Having radar always showing on my Home Screen is super handy for a quick view of things. Others lack this feature. Excellent work RadarScope. Thanks for a fast, clean looking app!

happy early adopter
I purchased this app for iPad v.1 just before flying to OkC OK... way back when, showed my friend and he immediately purchased ! Since then, I’ve introduced many friends to this wonderful no bs app, and am happy to report, none have complained. In fact compliments are usually received ;) These new updates are really nice !! I appreciate the ability to see beyond the "radar ring"... again. Living near the coast (PNW) it allows just a little more info for brain processing ;) And the latest update, with the new water background, is really nice on the eyes. One thing I would like is a little more detail regarding lesser highways/roads. And thanks for being so responsive to bug reports/bug problems over the years, you guys rock 🖖

If you are able to understand the different radar types then buy it! I love it!
I’ve been using this app since March, because a fellow friend of mine, who is also a meteorologist recommended this app to me. I’m in love with this app. I don’t believe that you need to pay anymore than what you need to. The price it asks for is the price it really is. You don’t need to pay extra for pro stages if you don’t want those stages. You have access to every nexRad radar. You can see a variety of things I didn’t know was there. There is Velocity (rotation), reflectivity (normal radar), correlation coefficient (shows any non-meteorological debris), etc. I love it. I have payed for any of the pro tiers, and I don’t plan too. Even without lightning, I am able to tell if it has a lot of lightning in it.

Worth the buy & tier 1!
If you’re a huge fan of the weather, especially when it comes to looking at the radar, this app is heaven for you! I recently upgraded to tier 1 for dual-pane radar, lightning, and inspector tools, and I outta say it’s been well worth it! A request to RadarScope, You probably won’t see this but could you add the town of Alto, Michigan if possible to the map? It makes for a great middle town between Grand Rapids, Clarksville, Lowell, and Caledonia Michigan. I also request this because the town has seen some nasty weather over the years and there’s been no proof to pinpoint the town on radar... just had to take a guess on it’s location. On top of that, there are quite a few residents in the town. It’s no ordinary one street pass-through. Thanks otherwise!

Best what is happening now weather app
If you want to know what’s happening right now with the best graphics, this is the best app. I would also use in with conjunction with Dark Sky. Dark Sky is great for what will happen in the future but the colors for DS aren’t the best. This app has been invaluable to me knowing exactly where the clouds are and where they’re going. Once I was traveling without a coat and it was raining REALLY hard. I noticed on here the severe storm only had a little more to go and then would be clear after. I ducked in for dinner and I knew I was good. You don’t need the extra super duper upgrades but I upgraded to the first tier since it’s fun to see the lightning. It is also nice that it shows the severe weather warnings and outlines exactly where the warning is for.

Best radar app I’ve used
I’ve used this app for 7+ years. It’s the best out there, good enough for professionals to use. For the rest of us their Tier 1 plan for $9.99 per YEAR is a great value. It’s gotten me out of a lot of jams when traveling for work, when coaching at my daughter’s softball tournaments, or simply when at the house and trying to determine if the really bad stuff is heading my way. Anytime I take this app out (such as at the softball fields) I have people asking me the name of it so they can download. For the day to day forecast I just use Apple’s weather app. When there is an actual weather problem, RadarScope is my go-to and like I said it has gotten me out of (or helped me avoid) a lot of jams. I highly recommend.

A live look at weather data
I'm a novice user, learning about the different readings coming from the radar, but even with currently only understanding percipitation and velocity, this app is a million times better than any other radar app because the data is live. During a storm, it doesn't help much to see radar data that is ten to thirty minutes old unless you're looking at tracking info. I'm a map geek, and I love data, both likely important to why I love this app. Also, this app only provides data. I believe it's some of the same data that helps meteorologists forecast weather, but the app doesn't forecast. So if you only want to know what the weather will be like later today or tomorrow, I doubt this app is for you.

All I Need and More!⭐️
If I could give it 6/5 stars I would! RadarScope might be a professional radar app, but that doesn’t mean an amateur like me can’t use it. I love the SuperRes radars that show the smallest bits of individual rain pixels, and not lump them together into some kind of makeshift cloud like most other apps. With this app I’ve become the de facto “Weather Nerd” for my friends, and oftentimes I tell them to watch the radar even before some local meteorologists. Using and understanding the Velocity and Reflectivity radars together helped me accurately know when a potential tornado producing storm was going to impact me and my friends, and made sure we were safe. Other apps like Weatherbug and The Weather Channel just can’t compare or compete with how great this radar is.

Best of the best
Great app, not for beginners as you need to have more than a basic knowledge of how to read and interpret radar on the map. Once you are able to understand you will discover how much this app has to offer. I have the base app without a subscription and that is good enough for me. Radar updates very quickly. Kansas City was nearly slammed with an EF4 tornado in May of this year (2019) and RadarScope displayed accurate velocity to pinpoint where the mile wide tornado was located. I was able to monitor the debris field as well using correlation coefficient. This app is strictly radar and is best used with other apps such as The Weather Channel for forecasts. This is my go to radar app. Fantastic. The only change I would make would be a more detailed map.

RadarScope Review
This app is perfect. It will show you everything you need to know. Just going to say that this app is for those who know how to use Doppler Radar, and for those who know a little about it, it should be easy. The Velocity mode for this app is awesome. I sometimes wonder if they are going to add smoothing for the Reflectivity. Something that would be very nice and useful to this app is reviewing old radar data from a certain date. Let’s say you want to see the Moore, OK tornado from 2013. You can set the date and time, and bam, you’ve got that wonderful Radar Signature in front of your eyes that you can study. It may not be possible, but that is my only request. Getting that out of the way, for tracking tornadoes and storms, this is the app.

Long time customer !
I will say the app is excellent for what it is intended for. I bought it when it came out. I can’t remember how far back I don’t know maybe 12 or more years ago. I bought it for about $ 25 or so for pro life time in the beginning when that was outrageous for a app. But I loved it. The problem is the have deactivated the restore feature. They keep trying to sell me to it for $99 days a year. This is fine for all the new customers. But I bought it once for an lifetime membership. So there respectability stinks. They do not treat the original customers properly. They found out they have a marketable app. They don’t care to treat the ones who launched the app purchases and showed them it would work. I do get to keep me low level functioning app updating though. If this is not so tell me Tech support. Yours truly an original customer. That is why I rated this product a one star.

Great App, Double Charged
This is definitely one of the top radar apps out there, and has some great advanced features. One of my favorite is the storm tracks and ability to draw on the radar itself (this in in addition to the multitude of radar “types” and tilts on each. This is for more advanced users, so may be overkill if you just want a general idea when precip is coming, but is top notch for advanced users, and Skywarn Spotters. For those willing to learn, however, this is one of two I primarily use. That said, be aware, you will be charged twice. Once when you download the app (for recurring subscription apps, normally this is your first week/month/year of service) you get charged, but then once you open the app, you have to pay again for the subscription. (At least this is all I can assume, as Apple denied my request for refund twice, after I was charged a second time, of course with no explanation). I love the app and will continue to use it, but be aware that you will pay double your first year if you want the advanced features.

One of the only radar apps to rely on
I’ve been using RadarScope for several years now, I use it as my primary method of monitoring changing weather conditions. I have a large interest in severe weather and this allows me to monitor many conditions that contribute to such, both in my home state and elsewhere. I think one good adaptation for the app in the future would be a vehicle-safe edition for Apple CarPlay. Being able to see what you’re driving into if something pops up suddenly would be really helpful, and could possibly integrate an auto-updating, real time location tracker so you can see where you are relative to any weather in your area.

NWS instructor said this was the best
I took a National Weather Service weather spotter class (highly recommended for weather nerds). During class, I asked the instructor about apps; he didn’t want to be quoted favoring one over another. After class, he came up to me and said “Radar Scope”. I’ve played with all the advanced apps and this is one of the best, if not the best. The guy was a meteorologist. “Do I go to the basement or not?” - a key question in tornado country when a weather alarm goes off. This and a few other apps give projected storm tracks. If I tap on the icon for the cell, I can pull up detail on storm characteristics. I can see when I need to go to the basement and when I can (warily) stay upstairs

Crap
One review stated “this app is for professionals” yet it proclaims to be an effective tool for even the novice weather enthusiast. But that’s not my complaint so I digress.... my issue is I just bought this app an hour or so ago and have been looking at the app while watching the weather channel and the storms/tornado warnings in PA. The app is giving utterly and completely different information than the weather channel. The app has the tornado box/warning, several hundred miles north of what the weather channel is reporting. There are also warnings in several other places in the north east as per the tv, yet they’re absent from the app. I guess for “professionals” it’s groovy to stare at a screen with a bunch of colors, a few yellow and red boxes that are seemingly hundreds of miles away from what the actual professionals (meteorologists) are displaying... but I guess, what do they know anyway?

Works great on old iPads
I have a retirement home for old iPads and I give them jobs to do. One is to display a continuous weather radar loop. I don’t know exactly how old these iPads are but they have the old pre-lightning cables and run 9.3.5. This chore was previously accomplished by an app I won’t name but is the same as a domestic terrorist organization. Apparently marketing was all on vacation the day they chose a name. Anyway, recently they quit serving up the data for the app. I looked for every possible app that would still install and run on 9.3.5 but they were all really primitive and/or crashed and/or had obnoxious ads. Then somehow this one popped up as recommended and claimed to run on 9.3.5. I took a huge risk because there was no trial version but I ponied up the ten bones and it paid off. This app works great on my senior iPad and hasn’t crashed once. No ads! There are subscriptions but they’re not required for the basic features that I need. It’s not nagging me for anything. So far it just sits there, dependably displaying a radar loop, 24/7, no ads, no nags, just doing its job.

Edit - Problem resolved. Thank you! Edit - Currently on RadarScope,KBOX is displaying data which is 11.5 hrs. old. However, two other radar apps are displaying current KBOX scans. Radar Scope continues to provide its users with an ever expanding array of weather data. However, the increase in time it takes to generate each new volume scan comes at a cost. Over the years, the lag time between what you see on your phone and what you observe out your window has noticeably increased. Today the skies opened up and delivered a torrential downpour while RadarScope displayed six or more minutes of clear sky before eventually catching up and showing the storm move over the area.

A Must-Have for RV’ers
We have a motorhome which makes us vulnerable in extreme weather situation not only when driving but when parked. This app has been fantastic to help up drill down to our exact location and track storm paths to see if they are coming near us. Using this app, we are able to see if we should move to a building or is it ok to stay put. We also use it to see if coastal storms are going to ruin a visit to the beach or will track to the north. When driving, we can see the weather that is ahead of us and plan accordingly. I recommend this app to all my rving friends and encourage them to subscribe to the PRO version for the best info.

A must have for everybody in tornado alley
I have bought numerous weather apps and compared them all within the last two years. This is hands-down the most accurate, up-to-date, and easy to use app you will find out there. While most other weather apps seem blotchy, this app looks like it’s running in 4K @ 244HZ 🙌🏻😌 thank you to the creators of this app, I am one extremely satisfied customer. Also, I think it would be a really cool idea if you had links to tutorial videos about reading different overlays, what to look for when spotting a tornado on a radar, ect.

Great.
Tour the local WFO and you will find WeatherScope on many met’s personal devices. The flexibility of the program, the speed of updates, and the developer’s assiduous, frequent program enhancements are impressive. Data can be gathered from multiple sources (I use Allison House so I can have access to their superb maps). Tier 2 access is pricey but worth every penny if weather information is important to your business or is a source of endless fascination. My grandfather taught me to “read the sky” 60 years ago. WeatherScope give me access to those clouds through the eyes of a satellite. How far we’ve come.

Worth it
This is the only weather app I’ve ever found that shows doppler radar velocity data (even though velocity measurements is what puts the “doppler” in “doppler radar”, it’s shockingly difficult to get velocity data from a given doppler radar) ... I’m not sure why it’s so hard to obtain basic radar data, but these guys have it figured out. They have most every radar laid out on the map and you select the radar you want and look at whatever data you want from it. It’s simple and elegant, and I’ll easily pay $10 to not have to figure out how they did this (because I’ve tried, and it wasn’t fun:)

Great even for non pro’s..
I use fairly regularly since finding a few weeks ago.. Exactly what I was looking for to track storms here in Montana. Allows me to plan for road conditions and prepare for storms. Few drawbacks.. Needs better instruction for novice users who want to learn. The video walkthrough offered is useless. Also, like every other app, for the extra features u need to... Yup, pay extra. This is a paid app, yet they want more $ at every step along the way. I paid $10.. The infrastructure was/is there. Not like RadarScope is building radar stations and funding using the $ from app. Greed ruins everything. Unfortunately, u feel it here too.

What happened? V.4 maps lost detail!
Pro subscriber and user from the very beginning. Boat captain that relies on this daily for work on the water inshore and offshore in South Carolina. The new “improved” maps in version 4 just took away all the coastal waterway definition we used to have. This visual detail is CRITICAL for discerning radar vs physical location tracking. Yes, I realize the app can pinpoint my current position with GPS but I also need to understand position of weather relative to other waterways. They simply disappeared from the new maps, and the coastline is now a very rough interpretation. High-def Radar is useless without high-def maps. Fix it, please. 2-Star rating is a reflection of the current level of map clarity for what was always a 5-Star app for me until the latest “improvements”.

Real Time Precise Information
I purchased this app in 2009 had it has been my go-to for critical weather information on the motorcycle and boat. When you’re exposed to the elements you need to know precise information of whether to go through the storm or seek shelter. radarscope has never failed to give me the information I need to evaluate my risks, and the speed direction, intensity and hail of a system. No other program I am aware of gives this real-time detail. This is not the national weather or what will happen tomorrow, but if you need precise location, speed, intensity and direction right now, RadarScope delivers.

Fantastic app
I absolutely love this app. It takes some time and study to get proficient at recognizing different aspects of storms but after all the weather is a complicated thing. Read the radarscope blogs and NWS articles on doppler radar, doesn't take long and you will be amazed how well you can detect everything just like you see on the weather channel radar images. It is well worth the effort to learn how to interpret the radar images, just work at it a little and you will love it and realize what a great app this is, especially if you live in a storm prone area or just interested in the weather.

The MUST HAVE Advanced Radar App
While this may be above the heads of the general public, if you’re a knowledgeable weather enthusiast, student, professional - this is THE MUST HAVE radar app. I would be lost without RadarScope. It has a very simple interface and every radar product you could imagine. I use this app when I go storm chasing and have full confidence in its performance while in the field. Additionally, creating loops and screenshots for media could not be easier. I really cannot speak more highly about this app. Price is $10, but I would happily pay $100 for a product like this.

Amazing but one issue
So I got this app before I was using MyRadar so I got it and it was amazing it has velocity and many other cool features and I’m really into weather so I was excited about this but when there is a small storm on me it doesn’t show only if it has a warning and I click on it on the side then it shows the storm so as I’m writing this there is a small storm forming on me and it doesn’t show how do I fix this? Edit: Can you please reply with this the bug is causing me a lot of trouble and it’s getting annoying

App not working
I downloaded this app at the recommendation of a friend. After installing, I got the What’s New screen. When I tapped Done,I was taken to just a map, with a small pencil at the top left corner. My friend sent me a picture of his app, and I had none of the menu options at all but he does. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app thinking there may be a glitch. This time it was worse than the first, because the blue pencil didn’t show up until I tapped around the screen in various places. I’m going to press for a refund, because this is obviously not a working application for me. I have a screenshot if that was available. **Update- I just went to their app support, and watched one of the videos for iOS. I get nothing on my screen like what is demonstrated there.

Simply the Best
As an insurance claim adjuster, weather is my business. I can find no other app, free, paid, or subscription that comes close to the information this app provides. The free version is plenty for most casual observers. I subscribe to the $10/yr plan and it provides all I need. Hail? It’s so accurate, I can watch in real time as hail falls and as it moves. When I run a hail map from another service the next day to see where hail fell, it conforms the app’s real-time hail fall from the time of the storm in the exact same places, down the the foot— and it even shows the exact size of the hail. Lightning? It’s so accurate, as soon as I see the flash of lightning outside, the icon shows up in my circled location within the app— accurate down to the foot. There’s simply no other app that confirms hail, wind, and lightning as well as this one does. It’s real radar, deciphered so anyone can read it, with real-time wind, hail, & lightning data... and it doesn’t cost a fortune.

Thank you for an amazing watch app.
I have loved the iOS and macOS apps for years. The watch app was fine for a quick look but was never anything special. After this latest update I have been thrilled with the new watch app. I love being able to see all radars and all products easily in those moments that I don’t have my phone in my pocket. Great job, developers!! I hope a CarPlay version will be coming soon. As someone who travels a lot being able to pop open a local radar on my dash would be tremendously helpful.

Hands down-The Best Radar App
Real radar for those who need high quality radar maps. My absolute favorite weather app and totally worth the cost. One request...the map overlay (roads, etc.) is too sparse. The weather situation can be quite different just a couple miles away (severe thunderstorm, snow-rain line, etc.). But, the nearest displayed road on the map is many miles away making it real hard to pinpoint where "the weather is." It would be AWESOME if the developers would add functionality such that as you zoom in on the map the level of detail of roads increases.
