Worrisome
I don’t understand how this app was released! It does not function under the iPad for mobile deposits, IF you can get it to allow you to log on. Went to my iPhone, and after more than a half dozen attempts, and me finally holding my head at the appropriate angle (which I had to figure out by trial and error), it allowed me to access my account. Then as I attempted to complete a mobile deposit, which required a totally different angle that I discovered after 3 tries, I was able to scan my check (both sides), then I was cooking until I attempted to complete the transaction when everything was gone!! I went at it again and finished the transaction and attempted to log out with success. Whew, but wait, why is my logon and PW showing on the logon screen? I erased that information and promptly deleted the App!! Shame on you RBFCU!!

So annoying
I used to never have problems with this app until lately and it’s gotten so frustrating because I get paid and it tell me how much a got paid and all the good stuff we’ll as soon as I start spending my money it’s like this app can’t calculate numbers I can go to get gas which normally for me is $20-25 and it’ll pend for like 2 days then go away but if I go somewhere and buy food my gas that I paid for 2 days ago will pop back up on pending and eventually once I get to my last bits it’ll some how say I have more money in my account and if I use it it puts me right in the negative so basically let’s say I get paid $50 I use 20 for gas that $30 left and then I spend 10 on some food so that $20 left it will place me in the negative without using that $20 I had left and then maybe a couple days later put that $20 back in my account and once I use it it puts me back in the negative for using the $20 I originally had left!!!! Fix the freaking app if I didn’t have loans rn that I had to pay I’d definitely would’ve switched banks already and I’ll be sure to switch once I get the loans that are already almost paid off done!!!

Gotta be fair!
Back in November 2021 when the old app was no longer accessible I was very distraught that the widget was not available on the new app that I rated the new app a 1 -the worst rating. I still am mildly upset that the widget is not available with updated app HOWEVER I must be fair. The new and updated features on the new app are crazy good! Can't beat that mobile deposit!!! Balances and transactions show up front. Quick balances (although not the widget) is a an available viable option which I use very often. There was a glitch one day and I lost Touch ID login. I sent an email and the response was immediate just un-install and re-install the app. It worked and none of my information was lost which was my initial hesitation in un-installing the app. So, all said and done I must in all fairness give a rating of a 4 and not a 5 ONLY because no widget available at this time! You rock RBFCU!!!

I wish I could access the old app until this one felt more complete
Why make us switch to this app and lock us out of the old app when the new one doesn’t offer all of the features of the old one? Please bring back the ability to see credits and debits separately within one balance. On the old app I could easily see all of the credits to my checking account (while hiding the debits) by pressing one button. This really helps me track my pay and I am very sad this feature is gone. We should have been able to access the old app until the new one was complete. Mobile banking is very important these days and changing the app we use is a critical blow to how we interact with our bank. Especially for us folks out of state. Please consider making some changes that bring us closer to the older format. I understand needing to move forward, but the new app feels like a step backwards in functionality. I have already read through your troubleshooting guide on the website and it didn’t answer my questions. Thank you for reading.

Move Money Issue / Transfer Screen Closing is Broken
Update 4 - 30 Aug 2024: FIXED in v1.8.0 - Full story below… When transferring money from one account to another, there is no indication that the transfer is successful. In the prior version, the transfer screen closes. Now, the screen just stays open and unchanged. The account amounts are unchanged as well. So you submit again, and it initiates a 2nd transfer. Transfer screen still doesn’t close. Behind the scenes, all the transfers are successful - you just never know. At least - until you run out of money to transfer. Update: 1 Aug 2024 - Still broken in version 1.7.6 Update 2 - 9Aug2024: Still broken in version 1.7.7 Update 3 - 14 Aug 2024: Still broken in version 1.7.8 Update 4 - 30 Aug 2024: FIXED in version 1.8.0. Bugs Galore “Update” All Works
Update to initial review: Customer service contacted me and told me about the issue and stated an update would be released soon. Once I logged into the app manually, I was able to reset FaceID and log in. Overall the UI looks awesome and great customer service from RBFCU. Thank you! —————— I used to love this app. Unfortunately, it stopped working last week. I even called customer service, sent screenshots to report the issue. I’ve reinstalled it several times, hard reset my phone several times. Updated to the most recent app. version and iOS. Still, once I input my log in information, the written password shows over the default “password” word and the “log in” box is greyed out. I would give it no starts if I could. Just horrible.

New update awful - leaving bank
Mobile depositing is completely terrible after the most FORCED recent update. It is one of the most necessary features I use and I’m not even able to access it due to it saying I need an email address on file. After taking me to my preferences page it’s clear it is already on file. I’ve never had an issue before this update, unfortunately after 30 years of banking here, I will need to completely leave RBFCU as this feature is imperative in my day to day life. I hope RBFCU and not just the developers are aware of all these negative reviews because they will absolutely end up losing customers over it.

Sometimes works without bugs
Have to log in multiple times to be able to see my balances, but even then most of the time it never loads data and only shows stencils of account cards on the page. I have hard close the app then reopen, reauthenticate (sometimes more than once), then attempt to reload my data again. Sometimes it works after all that, sometimes it doesn’t. Coupled with the inability to turn off RBFCU’s ads through the app, all of it makes for a poor mobile banking experience. But here’s the thing, in 2023 and especially for people that don’t live near their regional bank, the mobile banking experience IS their banking experience. And my banking experience has bugs and questionable UI/UX. So I’m considering switching banks after over a decade because what’s the point of staying? Also, no I’m not going to email you back after a developer response on the App Store. This is your email.

User experience is terrible
This version of the app makes me wish the old was still available even if it looked outdated. It really makes me think there was no UI/UX work done before making us switch to it. From taking more button presses to get to the same function to login error loops making me go to desktop just to check my balance. Please tell me how it makes sense that charges from the last statement disappear until I specifically go to that statement even if it only closed a few days ago when that charge posted??? To make it worse, once I go to said statement, it’s ordered by oldest to newest so I literally have to either scroll down and click “show more” every 5 charges to get to the one I want to see… This should be sorted from newest to oldest by default or better yet, don’t block us from seeing a history of the charges just because the statement closed a few days ago. Hopefully my favorite bank can develop an app that reflects how good it is.

App crashes and force closes
I work in tech for a major media corporation that is heavy on technology so I can for certain say I do everything possible to ensure my device/ apps are up to date to perform at what should be it’s best. This app is horrible, force crashes, super long sign in processes which tells me it’s a server/ authentication issue. After logging in the app bounces back to the main log in screen which proves the coding is trash for this app. After a few attempts once in the on screen keyboard stays open only allowing half a screen of space to use the UI of the app. Selections take long to load, overall the app has gone downhill and needs major work. No it’s not my device, data/ISP, updates. It’s the very glitchy app! No I won’t be sending a email to member services. Literally switched my direct deposit back to chase bank. My RBFCU account now sits unused for its lack of user ability.

I expect more from my bank.
When someone attempts to use a mobile app that doesn't like allowing secure password managers to copy and paste, that's just... irresponsible. I'm being forced to change my password (cool deal) but use 1Password to generate a secure password. Normal method is to generate, copy, paste, paste. This app does not respect the double paste... Even though I'm getting all green checks. not a single sane person is going to type a 20 character high security password on a mobile keyboard. Please fix it. Reply to the reply: it's not password "requirements" - I'm using a very secure password with a password manager. The functionality of rbfcu's apps ability to reset with a paste/paste, next - is broken, in the app. You want me to TYPE a password for verification rather than accept a paste from the clipboard. Works just fine on the website.

Love my RBFCU
I can’t say enough praises about my bank and the app. Anytime I need assistance whether it’s talking to an actual representative or chat I get immediate service every time. The representatives are friendly, courteous, very professional and I love how they thank me each and every time for being a member. I know this is getting personal but my best experiences have been at my local bank (Cedar Park- Bell/Walton Way) and always looked forward to seeing Ms. Madeline Meekins. She had been very instrumental in some situations and was so kind to be right there with me every step of the way! I also want to acknowledge the other location in Cedar Park (Lakecreek) for making me aware of the “money market” savings account and so extremely easy to add that account to my main account. They truly care for their members. I’m planning on using RBFCU in purchasing my future home, “fingers crossed” by next year and perhaps a new vehicle. Replacement of Debit Card
I am extremely pleased with fast I got my new debit card, I went in to my local branch in Austin, Texas West Ben White Blvd to file a fraud on my card, I was told that it would take approximately 7-10 business days to arrive, I am very happy that I received on Saturday which made me very happy. Once again, RBFCU came through for me in a very timely manner which is greatly appreciated. I am so glad to be a client of this magnificent credit union company. Great job to all …I would highly recommend this credit union to everyone, friends and family.

New App is A Downgrade
I love banking with RBFCU and loved the old mobile app, but this feels like such a downgrade. I miss being able to quickly see my account balances using the widget, now you have to go into the app. There is a quick balances feature at the log in screen, but if you have face recognition enabled, it will do that automatically when you open the app without giving you the chance to just quickly check balances. I also changed my password recently. Even though I had the new password update in my apple keychain, this app kept entering my old password, even when I had “remember me” turned off and was manually typing my new password, the app would erase my entry and put in my old password. Had to delete and reinstall the app just so I could log in. Needs a lot of work done.

Very laggy and very troublesome logging in
Recently, when trying to log in, the app has been taking a long time to load. And if you happen to click the screen while it is loading the app will automatically sign you out and reset. It also happens once you’ve logged in and it’s loading the first screen, if you happen to click the screen while it is loading it will automatically sign you out and you have to restart the sign in process again. It can be very frustrating just to log in and use the app. I’m unsure why it takes so long to sign in and load the first page, it seems like it’s only been the past couple months that this problem has come up.

This app continues to get worse
This app continues to get worse. Very inconvenient. I had to get out of line at the movies because for 10 minutes I was attempting to load the app just for it to not work at all. No service issues on my part so it was super embarrassing I was not able to pay for what I needed to. It was to the point where I had to log in on the website before I could access my accounts. The old app never had issues and was extremely efficient. There have been bugs the entire time I have had this new application. I have had more bad experiences than good ones. I am lucky if I can get this app to even open at this point. Applications are meant to be more effective but at this point it’s easier to log into the website than use this app…… very dissatisfied

No credit line or personal loan approval
I have been with this bank since summer 2017 every time I’ve applied for a personal loan a small amount just to start a payment history they do a hard pull on my credit and then I get denied within a short period of time. I thought they had better customer service than the bank I opened an account with down in Florida did the south pole on my credit no payment history, and got approved in no time for a $500 line of credit. Considering swapping payment over to them to increase my line of credit and build faster. Reasons given previously “no credit history” but yet south Dade Toyota approved for a $28k vehicle and as I said the other bank $500 cc, no issue. I do not recommend this bank! I asked for $300 and the paperwork said $160 denied.

RBFCU App not working
I have not been able to log into app for over a month. I tried being patient thinking there would be an update. Tried again today and the sign in button does not do anything. I removed the app and downloaded again. Tried logging in and still nothing. I tried to sign up, thinking that deleting the app may have required that. It states that is not available to do. Is this app still available, there has not been any notifications as to problems with the app.

Dates are messed up
My only complaint with the app is that the transactions aren’t listed under their dates. On the previous app, it would have the date and then all the transactions on that date. Now they’re all jumbled together. So it makes it difficult when I’m trying to put them in my QuickBooks. I always have to be looking to see what date I’m on. Before, it was so much easier because I would look at the date and then look at all the transactions under that.

It’s fine…
Two big things I wildy disagree with, first being that the old app was completely disabled. I can understand not supporting it, but to fully disable it after the new app rolls out? Clearly an unpopular move, I don’t know who’s idea it was but they really do need to get some perspective. Secondly while I have not had the same stability issues that seem to plauge some, is it really needed to open a web page when I go to acess my account settings? Must I really reenable java script every time I go to look at that? This app was supposed to be an “upgrade” but it looks as though it still has a little ways to go before it has caught up.

I’ve been using this app for years and it has always been a breeze to use. It is to the point with no frills. The update last week prevented me from seeing the login (white screen after splash) but has since been resolved with the update today. App environments can be hostile since there are so many platforms to account for so I understand stuff happens. Thank you for resolving this issue. I highly recommend this app. Great job devs!

Widget incoming?
I was pretty upset when the old app was phased out however with time and updates I’ve learned the new app is just as easy to use, however where is the quick balance widget?! It says it’s coming soon but it’s been almost a year and still nothing. That was my favorite feature about the app. It made managing my finances so much easier and having it taken away was very upsetting. I would really like for this feature to be prioritized as I’ve told the staff whenever I’m at the bank. Please bring the widget back so I can view my balances from my Home Screen and give this app 5 stars.

New Version Update
Trying to get into my account. My account opens, says there is a new version would I like to update? That’s the only choice so I have to click update, it takes me to the App Store to RBFCU where it says Open, takes me back to my account with the update box, over and over and over again, updating nothing, and not allowing me to access my account because the only thing you can do is press update. This needs to be fixed immediately!!! It’s the equivalent of when I went to the credit union and tried to deposit cash and the atm wouldn’t accept cash multiple times and multiple locations. Please fix this. I even deleted the app and added it back, so it wasn’t that.

I hate this app
Don’t get me wrong, I love RBFCU and their customer service is the best. But this app is the worst. Somehow, the older version had a better UX. Viewing the credit card statement is terrible. Somehow, the previous version was better. I actually might stop using my Mastercard all together because the user experience on the app is so bad. And that is saying a lot given how tedious it would be to switch over all my online subscription payments to another card. I wish I could give this app zero stars. I’m not even going to go into detail about how buggy it is… facial recognition takes multiple attempts, app crashes.. I could go on. Please have a team experienced in human-centered design redesign the app user experience. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The new app favors trend over useability
Props to RBFCU for reworking their app, but its like their designers have never used the app themselves. Actions take extra steps to get to or are just impossible to find (ie managing existing bill or loan auto-payments). The requirement of a phone passcode or face ID or else the app won't remember my user ID is stupid. Also; the user profile feels really unnecessary. Its feels like they are using a template for their app that was never meant for a banking app. So while this app is better aesthetically than the old app, it is a really rough user experience. I'll be using the website on my phone to manage my banking from now on (unless I have to deposit a check).

The old app was the best banking app I’ve used
This new app is honestly terrible. It’s visually harder to read, harder to navigate, and the user controls are weird? For example, when I try to transfer money it makes me use a rolling drop down to select the account I’m sending money too. But it moves way too easily and too much! It’s extremely difficult for me to select the account I want to use and I am used to using my smart phone for everything; I can only imagine how hard it is for older people or people with worse hand coordination. The old app was just so amazing I don’t know why this was such a huge shift in the wrong direction.

Love my bank!
I no longer live where there is a RBFCU but I can’t give up my account. It’s not just the service I get. Which is friendly and so helpful. It’s how my RBFCU App is so easy to use and I never have any problems with it. When I was learning it the service reps were always pleasant and eager to help me. No problem was to big or small. The new update almost bricked my iPhone
The new update hangs at sign in whether I type in my password or use Face ID. I usually just close it immediately and go to the website on browser, but I decided to see if I just gave it more time it would work. After a few minutes of nothing but the loading symbol, my phone went to the apple security Lock Screen, as if I had tried to open my phone and put the passcode in wrong several times even though I didn’t touch it. Powering it off and on twice returned me to the passcode screen so I could finally login, or else I would have had to reset my whole phone. Y’all’s app is messing with stuff it shouldn’t even be in 🤦🏼‍♀️

Awful Mobile App
My husband and I both use the mobile app on our phones. Mine works fine, sometimes, but it won’t even let my husband login. It continuously says “The service is currently unable to connect. Please close the app and try again.” This is really inconvenient for him because he runs a small business and has to rely on this mobile app multiple times a day. His phone’s software is up to date, the app is up to date, he’s tried deleting and reinstalling the app and has reset his phone multiple times. Clearly, the issue is the app. Please get the app fixed. This is ridiculous. We’ll Chechen banks if RBFCU can’t get this app working. App continues to get worse and worse.

Not as good
There are some features I am okay with. It just takes some getting used to. But I am pretty disappointed in how the new app is not compatible with the widgets or the iWatch. It was nice to pull up my balance with my watch, it helped me in moments I was busy or pressed for time. Now I have to pull out my phone and locate my app and open. I know this sounds like a dumb thing to complain about but when you update or release a new app. It’s supposed to be improved and offer more. Not take away features and less quality. I really hope you can consider adding those features back and improving this new app.

If it’s supposed to be better. Make it is better
I can get behind the design change. But I feel like I’m now having to perform 4 steps to complete something on this new app. When on the old one it only took me one step. But the thing that frustrates me the most is that you don’t have an RBFCU widget available for this new app like you did for the old one. I miss being on the go and glancing down at my phone and checking my balance. Now I have to get my out scroll through my apps sign in and wait for my balance to load. Ik first world problems but that’s not the point the point is that the app was supposed to be better .And it’s not. End of story

App works great! Don’t understand the negative reviews
Due to the large number of negative reviews, I waited as long as possible to download this app and finally did it on Nov 8, the day before the old app expired. So far I’ve used the app to transfer funds between RBFCU accounts, did a mobile deposit, and paid bills, all with no difficulties whatsoever. I have an iPhone 11 with the most current software version (iOS 14.8.1). No issues with the app at all.

I love banking with RBFCU, I’ve been a member for a few years now and I don’t plan on going any where else! The app is so easy to use and understand. I had an issue the other day , I called their support line and found help immediately! When I visit the branch the tellers are always so nice and very efficient! I have nothing bad to say about them and I look forward to many more financial years in their presence!

Frustrating
I really love my bank. I do but this app has so many bugs and glitches it practically makes it impossible to use. If I get to log in on the first try and try to click on my account balance to check my recent transactions it’ll start to reload and reload before completely kicking me out of the app. Some days I’ll log in and then get kicked out immediately and can’t log back in because of system errors. This app could be so much better if they just took a little more time and care in listening to their consumer complaints because this app is not it.

Glitchiest App on my phone, literally makes me want to switch banks
This app is absolutely terrible, about 90% of the time I try to log in it gives me error messages or just takes me through an endless cycle where it logs me in, then back out by itself just seconds later. Its like you have to have the worlds strongest internet connection for this app to even function, and that doesn't work for me since usually I need to check my balance or transfer funds when im on the go. Its been like this for over a year and I don't understand why it hasn't been fixed yet. I can’t wait to switch banks so that I can have a bank app that ACTUALLY WORKS

Login issues
In the past two months, I have had to change my password numerous times due to an error when logging in. I had my face recognition on and when I would try and login, the app would just try multiple times then say my account was locked. So I took of the face recognition and now I type in my ID/password and I am having the same issues. It happens about once to twice a week. I have spoken with my household and two other people are having the same issues. There is no option to update the app. And I have deleted and reinstalled it again.

If it’s not broken,why change or try and fix something that’s working very well. This was a bad move to change to a whole new version of this application. So the old app show the right deposits/withdrawals and the new one has delays on deposits/withdrawals. This app is trash, trash and I mean trashy. Bring the old app back or I just may have to take my money elsewhere. It just didn’t make since to change it,it’s very hard to navigate through. Keep the old application and put this new one back on the shelf. It’s a shame that people are saying that they may leave the credit union because of a application,that telling you how bad it is,geesh. God Bless!

Worst App
First I was locked out of using my app for nearly 6 weeks. I have paperless statements so this was especially awful. Finally when I called the bank and was told to download the new app. So I did. It worked briefly while on the phone with the rep but then ever since, I can’t log in. She said all my information would be transferred but it wasn’t as it keeps saying missing translation. I can’t use the app now since I can’t log in. What is going on? I don’t have this issue with my business account at another bank….only this one.

Unable to Log in After updating
For some reason after I updated the app on my phone I’m no longer able to log in. I input my password and hit enter, I briefly get the spinning logo like usual, and afterwards for a couple seconds I can see the blank outline of the main account page, only for a moment, after which it boots me back to the login page. There are no error messages or codes or anything to indicate WHY this happens, just an arbitrary exit back to the login page. This happens repeatedly and I’m unable to log in the app at all at this point. Ive had no issues with the app at all previous to this problem. iPhone 8 iOS 13.7

Password issue
I started having this problem since a couple of weeks already, where for some reason I need to change my password twice already, the first time the app just didn’t give me acces, I was saying account block, so the only option was changed the password and now obviously I didn’t remember the first time that I changed the password and put my old one, and immediately blocked me again, and again the only option was changed again, not giving me the chance to put it at last one more time. Worst Credit App
The app is just full of confusing layouts, loads of UI glitches, and it’s missing absolutely basic functionality. Half the menu items just open a link to the website in safari and the other half are confusing to use or don’t work properly. Most annoyingly, the app refuses to allow me to pay my bill with my external account. The app is so frustrating to use to see your purchases, pay your bills, or do anything basic, that it would actually be far better to go for capital one’s 1.5% cashback card instead of RBFCU’s 2% cashback. It’s probably worth 0.5% of your purchases just to have a usable app.

Great service—great people!! Top notch professional. I have had an acct with RBFCU for many, many years…they are the best in every area. It doesn’t matter if you go in, your doing business online, or call and ask a question—the answers and service are always correct and done with professionalism and kindness. Love RBFCU!!
Been banking with RBFCU for 12 years. I absolutely love them. The app is such an ease and please to utilize. The mobile deposit option is quick and easy to use. They have great customer service, whether in the lobby or over the phone. The alerts and notifications are awesome too! The app makes checking my account balance such a breeze. Logging in is swift with the face scan option as well. Thanks RBFCU.

Fees…..
Switch to Bank promoted by Jennifer Garner, they don't charge insufficient funds fees.. Customer for 15 years, sick of horrible customer service and arrogant response on fees. Just got charged $48 insufficient funds fees without any notice or warning... when funds were available in saving accounts.. Done with pawn shop of a bank.. Do RBFCU a favor switch to financial institution has better customer service and not a pawn shop of a bank.. I have written to CEO how his insufficient funds fees impact seniors and low fixed income families with "0" response.. CEO does not care. I am sure will get a template responses.. Contact RBFCU maze and maybe just maybe might get a response not necessarily a solution

I have just received the message that the old app will be obsolete on Nov.9, so seeing this I went and downloaded the new app, that's been out for a bit now but is trash, and already like two reviews I’ve read just now has the same response of contacting the support team but doesn’t state how the issue will be fixed, the last time this app was updated was a week ago! Why is it so hard to access my account “new” app that has a functionality of the first Mac computer. This very upsetting because it shouldn’t be hard to access my own money right? This app needs fixes now or something it’s gonna last long.

Terrible App
Why change the app and make it more difficult to use ! The old app was 110 percent better ! I have to go on line to get into my account ! It’s more steps to do when making payments ! I’ve been a member for 32 years and up dating the app just gets worse ! If it’s not broken why make changes that are going to make you stress out ! It’s time to find another bank !

Needs updates
The Face ID feature is horrible and makes me scan my face 5-10 times before allowing me access to my account. This time, it happened so many times that it locked me out. So now I have to go through the process of getting everything unlocked which typically wouldn’t be that difficult; but I’m out at sea with limited WiFi and am unable to get any SMS or phone call verifications- which are currently the only options. Additionally, the quick view function for balances doesn’t update. It hasn’t in months.

By far best bank I’ve ever had. I have been with them for the past 10 years and have multiple accounts open with them and get all my loan needs from them. Customer service is always great and the mobile app is so simple and clean, no going to additional pages or sections to get a overall look on your accounts. Highly recommend.

BEST BANK
I have tried other banks just to see how they are. By FAR RBFCU is the best bank I have ever banked at. I have been w RBFCU your 20+ years. Their one on one help, their people they have helping with the app OVER THE PHONE and their in person is TOP NOTCH!!! Never have I walked away not understanding something or needing more questions answered but if I did I know the person I am speaking to is knowledgeable in the field I’m asking about:)

Glitchy
This app is very glitchy. 1- it will show old translations from a month ago but have your current balance at the top. 2- it will show you transactions from another account but with the balance and name of the account you clicked at the top. 3- it will log in and show you a blank page, no account summaries. I cannot trust this app to be accurate. I am forced to log in via the web browser to check my transactions now that the old app has been discontinued. This new app should not have been released without further testing. I do not trust my account to be secure using this new app.
