I must say the free portion of this game was amazing. At times it was challenging but definitely not impossible if you don’t pay. The strategy part is simple yet complicated. Do you want to be able to heal your troops or be able to shoot down projectiles or be able to invade their base with an airship. From what if seen the story isn’t much but that doesn’t matter. But now about the paywall. You need to spend at minimum 3$ to get the full game and while I understand people need to eat it would be nice if there was another way to get the full game like whatch x amount of adds or pay x amount of in game currency or mabey have some specific mission. Of course you could still sell the other designs and weapons for money. But it’s up to the devs weather you have to pay for this masterpiece

Not sure what everyone is talking about regarding this being too hard. But I played on normal and felt the difficulty was just right. A few setbacks here and there but overall nothing crazy. I did beat the whole free version on my first run through without much issue. Surprisingly it was more difficult in the extended game. Totally worth the price as I’m sure the effort into making this game was quite intense. Very surprised there isn’t a multiplayer. Probably could make a killing if the dev added a multiplayer with some micro purchases. Nothing crazy, just adding more options behind a paywall. Adding a competitive ranking system would probably add a lot of additional playability. They could even make it where only cosmetics are for purchase. A lot of really good potential regarding the multiplayer aspect. Game probably just needs some more publicity to do well, probably does better on other platforms like steam as it’s not likely popular with kids due to it requiring a minimal level of thought and strategy.

This game gets a lot of bad reputation from reviews about difficulty spikes and what not. I am here to tell you this, this game is fun but it is hard. That May detour some people to the thought of it but Hexage for a most part makes very well made mobile games, some of which of playable on PC because they are made so well. Red Con is one of these said games. I know there may be some confusion about purchasing premium, you will unlock artillery and such as you go and that goes for the premium things as well. If you like strategy games, or just want something to play that is both fun engaging and has a very well written story especially for a mobile game then buy the full game. You will not regret it, and for those saying it has a difficulty spike, try using a different strategy, this game is a enabler for creativity. Learn, adapt and you will overcome. I have already beaten this game twice and I plan to play more, keep up the work Hexage!

I loved the beginning and premise of the game so much that I bought the REDCON 1 upgrade and I just finished the campaign. I thought it awesome! People talk about difficulty spikes and those are there but all you need to do is find the weaknesses in the enemies defense and arm your fortress accordingly. Of course I was doing this on easy mode and I had all the weapons available for unlock so it was much easier compared to only having the base weapons to use. I think if you enjoy the beginning and have a few bucks to spend the upgrades are well worth it, it only gets better and the ending is great. But also it will be difficult without all the weapons available if you don’t buy REDCON 1, although the challenge can make it much more satisfying, and I think it’s best on easy for your first time through. Great game, in my opinion 👍

One of the best, personally my favorite, AppStore game. To unlock the whole story you must pay to continue, but those couple bucks are so worth it. I haven’t played a game this much before, I’ve played since 2016 and I still come back to this game to play it again. Fun, strategic, challenging, intriguing story, and just long enough. Yes, you will have to restart the campaign to replay the same levels, but in my opinion it has always been a lot of fun to do so. I end up forgetting most of the levels and those that I already know how to beat still are very challenging. There isn’t really an easy way to beat the levels, it’s all up to your skills. Also, here’s one cheeky thing. If you unlock three of the “Onslaught” perks it’s extremely OP with mass Basilik and some large guns like Typhons. Very rare to get all of them, but so much fun if you do. Have fun :)

Unless you have $3-6 US to burn to upgrade this game, you're gonna get stuck on the "FORT RAPTOR" section, like I currently am, at the time of writing this. If you want to get a similar version of the game for win10 PC, you'll have to double that if you want the same experience on both. If the developer is reading this, I suggest an in-currency microtransaction deal, where you earn the currency by completing missions and you can spend it on upgrades to the game. You can do any amount per mission, but, please, do it in the next update, also, if that doesn't work, at least make it an unlock-as-you-go kind of thing, and, for those that have played it prior to the update, please give us the unlocks we earned for the missions we already completed, I mean, you can still use the paywall for the rest of the game if you want, it's up to you, but it's either no paywall and microtransactions, or free unlocks and a paywall at the end of the eighth mission, again, your choice.

Warning to those considering paying for the next levels after the free experience: you have already played the best this game has to offer. After the free version you will drop off a very steep cliff of frustration. Watch as the opponent moves around troops with milliseconds precision to avoid your bombs and then moves them back in place. For you to do the same on your side you need all ten fingers to operate independently with full brain power. Each move of a single troop takes three clicks. Good luck competing with your computer opponent. There is also not any flexibility in attacking. In most cases it’s going to be a narrow window of weapon combinations that are pre decided to work. So, be prepared to die repeatedly until you figure out the boring preset for each level. Power and ammunition levels also become a nuisance after the free levels. So, add moving troops around to boost those levels to your chaos. See those bars at the bottom of the screen that you never looked at? You will be fanatically concerned with them once you pay. However, the bars just don’t make much sense in the heat of battle. Be prepared for long grinding battles focusing on putting out fires and managing troop health only to die. Your victory will be a narrow, unsatisfying, non-tatical, waste of time. Don’t be fooled by the final level of the free version. That was the easiest and most fun level I played too. I wish I would have just walked away then.

I haven’t played a well designed mobile game in years.. and Yet Now that I’ve found it I couldn’t set it down. I bought REDCON 1 To enjoy the full experience… and I had a blast with all the extra gear. Admittedly the game does feel mind boggling at some times. Some times RNG fights you. But overall You are equipped with artillery and utility to overcome every challenge with some combination or another. The story is nice, Even if short. And yet now that it’s over I feel empty. There is no multiplayer.. and Replaying the campaign again feels a tad desecrating. I wish they could add a multiplayer because the games design appears to be perfectly fitting of A RTS. All in all, This game Is exceptional provided you buy the expansions. I am glad to have enjoyed it, and Saddened it is over.

This game is really fun at the beginning of it, but when you move on it starts to get into a pay-to-win sort of situation. When you get the first base in the game, Fort Raptor, you start to run into some issues. On normal mode, you won’t have any problems, but on easy mode they give you more towers than you can place down. This seems good, because you are getting a lot of weapons, but you only have 4 slots FOR weapons, and the only way to upgrade your fort is to buy a new upgrade with REAL money. This makes the game challenging even on easy mode because your opponents have way more utilities, defenses and weapons than you have put down, making them have an advantage.

REDCON is really, just a fun game to play. But it’s free to play, you have to spend something. It’s really hard to continue fort raptor, but thanks for the nuclear strikes. If you don’t really care about you’re score, they help a lot. To help my progress, I did purchase upgrades two and three. But then my iPadOS broke, so when I downloaded REDCON again, my purchases were lost. Part of my progress was lost, but I don’t really care. Next time I go to the store, I’ll buy my upgrades again. So you’ll get double support on 2 and 3 from me. This was a game that kept me going. When I got to the end of the free version, I had to purchase an upgrade. Oh, I forgot something! It’s also hard to continue on fort sycamore, that’s where I’ve left off. Somewhere on fort sycamore. Currently, I am trying to recapture the fort.

I have been playing this game for a long time (3+ years), and always hoping for the company to add more story and content or release a second one, but it has not. You get a free trail (like 20 stages or so), then you are asked to buy 1 of the 2 packages. I’m telling you, the game is simply amazing, but involves a lot of grind. Gets very difficult, even with everything unlocked. But some people give it bad reviews because they say it’s too difficult. Well believe me or not, but I have managed to beat the game 5 times already, and I still enjoy it. Like I said, lots of grind but please, don’t give the game a bad review, just because you can’t beat the game.

Frustratingly hard without the correct strategy. You will be scrambling your troops around the fortress as shells pound your fortress day and night. Your own guns will be struggling to fire before half of your firepower is blown to bits. The best strategy I found for the late game is to spam two or three Typhon MKIIIs with four to two ALASTOR MkIIIs with three flak defense towers. The config will rip through any fortress with ease, if you aim for the correct targets. For the early game, four to two ALASTORs, some ARCHONS, a couple of BASILISKs, and two or three flak towers will be enough. Remember: the war is a lie. Also, the universe is interesting, and I am sure many people either want a DLC or a new game as a sequel.

I played reaper and loved it this is great. But it seems like the enemies can predict exactly what projectile is coming after them. If it’s a regular missile they will just keep repairing but if it’s the shredder they run. Which forces the use of flash bangs, but those take almost double or triple the regular time. Which I understand why it takes a while but the only way you can win is but taking out all or most of their troops. So it just creates a loop of repair and damage but it’s fun and challenging just have to work around that fact.

I’ve played through the story about five times now, let me tell you it’s well worth the upgrade price. The gameplay is challenging, with the perfect mix of strategy and fast-paced action. But what really makes this game shine is the story. It is utterly fantastic, nothing like anything you will find on another mobile game. Not gonna spoil anything, but it is truly inspired, and makes me keep playing it long after my first playthrough. My jaw was on the floor towards the end of my first run, and the uniqueness of this game has yet to lose its effect even years later.

I fell in love with this game the first time a saw it, I love strategy based games and the story behind them. Redcon takes please in a world where war and terror has become a normality, Ripped and torn by endless war. Yeah I know, you need to pay for the whole campaign and can pay a little extra for some in-game items but I think it’s worth it. I love the game play, story, design and strategy. I’ve played this game so many times, every time I complete the campaign I just restarted it and play again. I highly recommend it to people who love strategy and storytelling as much as I do.

Ok this gam is hard, it is locked behind a pay wall… But it is worth it. This game is hard but once you learn the mechanics, you feel like a genius. In addition this game has an actual good story. You actually care about the characters. This is an amazing game period, especially for a mobile game. It’s hard, it costs money, you may have to look up tutorials, but it is a truly amazing game! The second I beat I started a new play through. And I never do that. Please play it!

I have to say, the game and story feels amazing, it’s addictive and the only reason why I’m giving it a four is because there’s a play wall for everything after a certain point in the story, you’re hooked on and you have to pay for the rest of the game, as a minor I actually can’t pay so I really would like a mini-game or Multiplayer where players can still enjoy the game or somehow makes us play more to get a secondary currency that can unlock the rest of the game completely or bit by bit

Update: this game is awesome. If you are complaining about paying 5 dollars you need to rethink what value is. I paid the one time fee and unlocked a challenging and really fun game. The satisfaction of hearing a shell squish an enemy minion is well worth it! It’s a free demo basically. Play it and if you want to go on, you pay. It’s done well, and for the people griping about cost. It’s a cup of coffee... 5 bucks? Wish more paid apps did it this way. Try then buy.

The games pretty challenging and makes you strategize- I did spend the money to get the REDCON pack with everything in it. I do however have a recommendation for the 31% war completion level… at least give us one defensive tower. I think the laser one would be fitting for the level. Also maybe don’t have the place look like it’s been getting fired at for the last 5 hours. Other than that stuff it’s a great game. 4/5 stars

Firstly this game is 100% worth the 5$ it costs to unlock the full game. This is my favorite game by far. The only thing that is slightly annoying is the difficulty like it’s hard to beat it on ez mode. But that might just be a skill issue on my part. I don’t know how this game isn’t more popular. David peroutka I’ve played most of your games, this is the best one and your games deserve more popularity.

This game is tough I guarantee it will be difficult the learning curve can be brutal at times but once you get it down your good to go all those other reviews about it being impossible is literally just because they never took the time to learn how to play good. The parts they complain about are a breeze to me I’ve beaten the game 9 times by now and it is great every time getting this game is worth it trust me.

I really like this universe, it’s so interesting and cool. I like the characters and enjoyed the plot immensely, the gameplay was fun and enjoyable if you have 6 bucks to spare and are looking for a quality game then I say go for it. There likely isn’t a better retro grim dark ww1 game around. I just hope they expand upon the lore of this universe and come out with a second game at some point.

This game is overall great but you will get stuck on the Fort Raptor part of the campaign unless you have at least $3 to burn. The developers could at least make an unlock as you go scenario for people not willing to pay that much to continue the game. Or they could add a special in game currency you can buy or earn by doing missions that’ll allow you to unlock weapons and forts

Honestly its a well made game. But its definitely pay to play. And even then you can barely pass levels. Been stuck on one for the last hour or so. Even if you buy the full game with all the weapons and such, you can only unlock them as you progress through the game, which makes sense. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it at all unless you plan on dumping hours into a single level., after paying a few bucks to even have a chance at passing the level. Waste of money unless your into a good challenge.

Great idea and great game, or it would be if it was possible to win without spending money. It’s impossible to get past fort raptor cause you simply can’t have enough firepower. Even if you have a radar with someone working it 50% of your shots still miss. You can place 4 guns but a lot of the time they all miss or get blocked by enemy defenses, making you need more guns for a better chance at getting a hit but you can’t get more slots without paying real money. If your going to make it pay to win then either make the game cost money or put a round of ads between battles.

I’m not one who usually leaves reviews but people need to know this is a stunning strategy game. The only real downside is the P2P features (It’s like 10 bucks at most but absolutely worth it) The story is interesting and is unexpected and I truly love this game. All I wish is that the game had a different ending possibility (Still great ending). However back to the main point: GET THIS GAME!

One of my favorite games. It features a variety of different weapons/utility rooms and has a great overall story (which I do which went a little further, or maybe add some DLC for when you beat the main game) what it really needs is a sandbox mode to test out the weapons you get or even a local multiplayer option (just don’t make the game require WiFi *cough* wings of duty *cough*)

I will play this as far as possible on a f2p ticket. If the troops get bogged down as I read, then I’ll simply restart and beat my own score. I live, I die… I live again! The visual style is cool and this game offers something many similar games do not: humor. Redcon merits more than a three + stars so I give it five for the bump. My Fearless Leader may take notice and promote me.

I have played this game all the way back before I had my phone on my nook and I always come back. I hope that y'all eventually decide to make an addition to this series as I'd play the heck out of it too. Thanks for this great game that's taken care of lots of bored times!!!

Some levels were very hard to beat till I finally got a system that worked out to beat the level and I truly like the ending to it and the story. One of the best mobile games I have ever played and will continue to be for a long time.

This has to be one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played. It not only has strategies that keep you guessing, but a great story line as well. Sure you have to spend a little money on it, but it was so worth it. I really hope the creator makes another REDCON because that would be just amazing

The game is great and is worth spending money on although save you nukes for the levels where your forced to use prebuilt forts because those are some of the most boring Damm section in the game and makes this game lose a star just because of that

This game is so unbalanced it’s actually insane to think you can win. How you can have 4 or 5 weapons hit the enemy (and you have to pay for the privilege of being able to equip that many guns) and nothing happens but the “enemy” fires ONE round and kills your troops. It’s absolutely not worth playing or definitely not worth paying to win because it doesn’t help. Just move past this game, decent graphics but there’s better out there. Absolutely not worth your time or money.

I love this game and the timeline of it however the only big issue with this game is the fact you have to pay to finish the game. Since I’m a minor this makes me very disappointed. The only reason why this game only has 3.9 stars is maybe because of this one factor. It would change the game around if this was changed! Thank you for reading.

I played this game several years ago, I thought that the developers would see the potential that this game has to play it online, one vs one would be very addictive with bunquers and paid skins. Please keep it in mind.

It’s a great game, well made, fun and engaging, and you can employ many different strategies with the base building part. Only problem is that you must pay a bit in order to get the full campaign although it’s pretty cheap

I absolutely loved how the game makes you think and how much you need to pay attention, and yea while it is behind a paywall, it’s absolutely worth the 4-6 dollars. I would love to see a 2nd game in the future

Game was fun. Challenging but good progress possible until you reach the end of free version. Plays like a free game so I am not going to pay for more levels. Worth checking out with idea that it is short lasting.

This game would be a 5 star if you didn’t have to pay real money to get the full potential from it. I’ve played a couple levels without paying the 3 dollars and it’s impossible on the 6th level, they could’ve made it a in game money thing instead of getting a package that cost $3-$6. I wouldn’t suggest this game if you don’t like pay to win.

It’s good but the paywall makes it quite hard and I want to be able to have more weapons and defenses but I don’t have the money for that so it would be nice if you made it so you could watch a certain number of ads or spend a certain amount of in game currency to get the special stuff.

I enjoy strategy games, but when the game repeatedly misses (and double misses) at critical moments when I’m told I have a 80-90% hit probability, it tells me the game is less about strategy and more about keeping the player sucked in by feeding the gambling side of your mind. Some like those types of game, but they’re really not my thing.

I’ll just start with this, the idea of this game and the current gameplay is amazing my only gripe with this is the base, it makes it completely pay to win to get part missions. As I said, fun game base system not so much.

I played it nonstop stop for the simple reasons of the way it played out and how you would choose command the guns. I also love to use the huge guns that deal great amounts of damage. Suggestions - Maybe add a sandbox are a Campaign map where you can see the missions.

The game is a masterpiece good story the way of explaining comes to some self speculation but other than that master piece would love to see another as the an continuation or a prequel of the events that lead of to the first game

This game is 100% worth it, yes the full game is stuck behind a pay wall but it’s worth it. I bought REDCON 1 because I like the demo. The twist ending, was not expecting that. They should make another game like this but your on the kruxs side.

I bought premium and accidentally deleted the game and when I reinstalled it I lost all my progress and premium and I want the premium back. Please fix that.

I love this game. Its fantastic and its an absolute blast to play. But there’s a paywall and that’s really cringe. I’ve seen other reviews talk about this, but add some other way to pay for the full game please. I love this game and I’d love to keep playing, but there’s the paywall. Thanks

The enemies are WAY to overpowered to the point that the game is just frustrating. A good challenge is welcome in any game but this is just terrible! I bought the most expensive version because the first few levels seemed promising but the difficulty after that skyrockets and is nearly impossible to play and have a good time. I even tried to get a refund because I hated this game so much! Please don’t waste your time on this terrible game.

REDCON strike cammander is the best strategy game in the history of strategy games all it need is multiplayer a mode where you can play as the Krux and level select and I think this could be the top strategy game in the world 👍🏻

Good game but I hate on how you only have one layout if you don’t spend money on this game make it to where you can upgrade the base layout and can you make it to where progression through the Game is easier it’s annoying to see that your enemy’s have missile launcher but you stuck with the talos mortar and the basilisk gun
