Garbage app that only works 1/3 of the time at best.
I’ve accumulated numerous overdraft fees because of this garbage app. You’re either immediately greeted by a black screen, or the app closes itself out whenever you try to navigate to the transfer tab. It inexplicably goes from working perfectly fine to being a complete dumpster fire — and best of all GCS refuses to hold themselves accountable for their shoddily coded program. GCS flagged my account as ‘suspicious’ because of the amount of times I’ve had to contact them regarding this nonsensical issue. I think it’s hilarious that they’d rather pass the blame onto their customers instead of correct their mistakes. I’m pretty much convinced that the only way they’ve managed to stay in business is because 90% of their clientele are borderline geriatric patients with zero understanding or need for technology. I detest major banks, but at this point I’d be better off shoving my money into a safe than entrusting it to these neanderthals.
UPDATE* Caused my account to over draft because you cannot understand what’s happening on the app? It’s seriously so confusing. I have two car loans through you guys and I’m gonna refinance somewhere else and leave banks. Been with you guys 8 years. What a shame. Last app was way better. Transferring money from one another to another became entirely too difficult. I don’t like the set up of the new app. The old one was simple and got the job done. As a long time GCS account holder I am not impressed. Please do something to make it a little more consumer friendly. I have two auto loans there and a savings and checking and it’s all separate now and way too sporadic.
I’m mostly liking the new GCS app, but I’ve found a few problems with it. 1) As soon as I create a Home Banking Login alert in the app it crashes. When this type of alert is set on the account the app will crash whenever I try to access the Mobile Alerts section... thankfully it’s possible to go in from a browser and remove this type of alert. 2) Related to the login alert, I get two texts per successful login. 3) When deleting alerts, the deleted alerts remain in the list of alerts until I back out of the alert section. Once I go back in to the alert section they are gone.
The layout is awful and doesn’t seem clearly thought out. The read out on account balances is confusing and can cause miscalculations. My checking automatically shows I have $500 extra on my available balance for ‘overdraft protection’. I have to remind myself each time that that $500 doesn’t exist. Please just make it simple and easy to read like the previous app. We don’t need all this extra fluff.
This app is so flawed. I can’t even seen my transaction history on the app OR the website anymore. Everything is buggy and more complicated. And it took 4 days to even contact someone about what was even going on when I couldn’t log in anymore. You guys used to be amazing, but now? If I can’t see my bank account details, why even bother? My information could be stolen and I’d never even know.
They closed mobile banking for a few days for a new app, this app is a HUGE downgrade that I didn’t even think was possible after how bad the last app was? Can no longer see past transactions, difficult to tell how much money is actually in your account and these new features that don’t really even work. Disappointed.
The old app was so much user friendly. This one only lets me see balances not what’s pending or on hold or any of my transactions. It’s a lot harder to transfer from 1 account to another with this app. This app also kicks me out a lot. Also I can’t believe they didn’t add a facial recognition login feature. Please bring back the old app.
This New app. Is horrible!!! The old one was so much easier. I can only seem to figure out how to see transactions from the day. I use to see as many as I wanted. I can see everything once the session times out, which expires while I’m still being active. Please, please fix this, or bring back the old format.
When I downloaded my app I do not have to deposit button on my app.. this is super frustrating because I don’t love close to this bank anymore. I just want to deposit my check from the app.
Horrible, can only see a balance and what charges are pending. Been nice to know there was a new site and app coming out ahead of time. Was worried all weekend that my account was hacked and took 2 days to get through on the phone then 20 mins on hold to learn I had to setup new account.
I am very dissatisfied with this new app. The old one was more user friendly in comparison. On the old one I was able to see all of my recent transactions, but on this one I don’t get to see those. It also doesn’t fit to the screen very well. I want the old app back.
It will not let me log onto the app after resetting my password about 5 times in a row (also, horrible security practice allowing that but that’s besides the point). This app alone makes me want to close my account
This app is very hard to navigate and understand. It’s very basic yet unrefined, if you could get this squared away and up to par with the bigger banks you would have a lot happier customers.
This is such a downgrade from the last app. It is awful to look at and it is so annoying to have to scroll side to side to view the entire screen. It doesn’t even fill the phone screen on the iphone Xr.
This app really needs to be reworked by a professional. Lacking majorly in functionality. For instance….Can’t even log in today and facing an overdraft fee now
The app is terrible. Logs in only half the time. Most of the functions don’t work. Application fails as anything more than an icon wasting space on your phone.
This app is TERRIBLE, it never update when i spend my cash out my checking account ..It still have the full amount. NEED A NEW APP! that’s the case we could be kept the old Bank app!
