Very good but too hard to complete the fishopedia

What the title says. I loved the original and got this one the day it released. It had a bunch of issues at release but the developers have really been on the ball with fixing them. In general, this game is an improvement from the first one (besides BikBok being a lot less fun than Byrdyr) but could use a bit more new content. Mainly I find the stuff from Pro Fishing Tour to be lots of fun and really interesting but sadly you only get to play about 5 minutes a day. Some kind of new, challenging world that uses some features from Pro Fishing Tour could work. Anyway, the fishopedia issue- I like the new variant thing (even when gigantic rare fish all over get kind of distracting) but there's also these new fish in the game that are really REALLY hard to obtain. The five 'Friend' fish from the Maelstrom. Far too much luck and weird circumstances are involved in collecting them all, and their variants make matters even worse. I would suggest making use of the 3 save files and let players find 'friend' fish that represent their high scores in their other save files. Otherwise, collecting all types of 'friend' fish may be impossible in some cases, and most players might not even know they exist.

Ridiculously Fun EX

This game is excellent. I’ll say it right now. I love this game to bits, specifically the bits of the fish I obliterate daily in game. I really just love a lot about this game. Most fishing games take a gritty and serious avenue, choosing to appeal to that demographic of people who enjoy that specifically. However I find almost all fishing games boring, until I found this artifact at the bottom of the mobile game abyss known as Ridiculous Fishing EX. I love how it takes such a goofy and fun route. Everything is ridiculous in a fun and great way. The art style, the music, and the gameplay all look like the devs had so much fun with this. The progression is also great, I really enjoy the games’s progression from island to island. I only really have some issues in a few bugs, but don’t let that discourage you. I also love all the little things, such as the fish phone showing your actual battery and the actual time. If you can, or especially if you’re on the fence, PLEASE don’t pass up this gem. Also Devs, I hope you add new content as well, keeping players coming. Also don’t be afraid to not do that and instead focus on bug fixes too if it calls for it. Good luck with your next endeavors.

Excellent remake of a classic

The original Ridiculous Fishing was still functional, but had a lot of visual bugs as newer devices came out. This was understandable since it was a pretty old game at that point, but still a bummer because I really loved playing it back in the day. But now it is back, and better than ever! The updated graphics are great, the new items are fun and excellent additions, and while I haven’t gotten to the new areas yet I’m excited that they exist! There’s a lot here for newcomers and veterans of the game, and it’s amazing to see this on Apple Arcade. I hope a lot of people will get to try this out and enjoy it like I have! Update: In 15 years of using the App Store I’ve never gotten a developer reply to a review. To have gotten one on a game I love by a developer I’ve followed since 2010 and Super Crate Box, is just wonderful. The previous performance-related issues I had mentioned do indeed appear to be gone and the game is running extremely smoothly while the phone stays cool. The polished controls are really noticeably better as well. Fantastic update, and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes from the teased upcoming content! Thanks Vlambeer!

Really cool game! 6 Stars if I could!

Funny Gameplay, pure goof with a dash of silly sauce. Only thing is it’s a bit mobile-game-y. don’t get me wrong I’m not a so-called True Gamer. I just think it could use a bit more story. Add more challenges, make it a bit less money based yk. I’m having fun doing this but the upgrades are a little expensive, maybe you can have quests (could fit in to a story mode) where you can earn them. I would like to see multiplayer in this (Random Names! No inappropriate stuff!) or like a fish-designer app where you can make your own fish designs. Anyways really fun game, just had a couple of suggestions, you deserved every 5-star review you got. Including this one. I hope to stay updated on your developing journey! <3

Lacking polish and impacting gameplay

I was a massive fan of the original and I am a massive fan of this game, but the bugs and polish fixes that still exist after over a month on arcade are giving me pause. This game doesn’t work consistently, and I don’t think consistency is a big ask for some of the biggest names in indie mobile development. The game is prone to pauses and lag at critical moments, not logging earned achievements, and giving false notifications. The pro tour, which I was extremely excited fir as a veteran player, is one of the worst offenders in lack of polish destroying gameplay. Every 3-4 pro tour casts I have are disrupted by the menu popping up, the notification bubble for it is always on even if I have caught every available fish (often masking actual achievements), and on at least two occasions the goals for the day have been logically impossible to complete. While I was able to put up with this due to my excitement for this remake, it doesn’t seem like ridiculous fishing will be seeing much replay until these issues get fixed.

Blast from the past

I loved the original ridiculous fishing, so I immediately had to download and play this one. After making it to the end the first time, I have to say that it is definitely as fun as the original. The guns, the fish, the gameplay, the updated graphics, it’s all great. However, like all new games, it needs a few updates and bug fixes. For starters, there should be an option to calibrate the hook or an option for different controls. Too many times the hook would move more drastically than how I tilted, or it would jump from one end to the other, and that definitely cost me a few good fish. Any slight movements tilting the phone forward or backward also moves the hook dramatically. If there is a specific way the phone should be held, it wasn’t made known. An option to calibrate, if possible, might help to stabilize a user’s preferred phone position when they’re playing. Another bug came from the uzi, at one point the uzi would shoot for me randomly or it wouldn’t shoot where I was aiming unless I touched the screen a few times. However after closing the game and waiting awhile it seemed to fix itself. The game is also a battery killer. I’m running on the IPhone 13, and it melts through battery life and has my phone burning up. It definitely needs more optimization. Overall, I’m excited to fill the fishopedia and see what else the game has to offer! I hope to see some more bug fixes and tweaks to the game overall.

Fantastic Remake, Needs Love

This game brought back great memories. The use of 3D models for the fish adds a modern touch that makes collecting the fish exciting all over again. Love the new game mechanic with the maelstrom and the increased rarity of fish as you continue to “prestige”. Unfortunately, the game has been out for only a month now but it has two critical issues which, in my opinion, were worthy of a quick hotfix: 1. Catching the City of Gold Fish is bugged and it forces you to restart the game. The fish hooks but drags away from your lure as you ascend while stretching itself out. This results in the fish not being thrown into the air while your other fish do. You end up stuck staring at your boat waiting for fish that will never fall back down. This prevents the completion of multiple achievements and honestly spoils the fun. 2. The Pro Fishing mode has been broken since the most recent update for me and my partner on separate devices, separate phone carriers, separate iPhone models. When you load the pro fishing mode, it tells you to check your internet connection. With these two errors, any reason to play the game after you’ve collected the rest of the fish is gone. After days of being frustrated with these issues, I’m going to stop checking for the latest patch and just give up. Long story short: play through it, enjoy the nostalgia, and hope by the time you reach the end game loop that there is even a loop that you’re able to play!

I like it, but there are issues.

The game is a great updated version of the old game. But I have some issues with it. For one, the hit box of the hook is way to big. I’ll go through a gap of fish which looks like I should for sure get through, but my hook will hit fish even though hook didn’t actually touch any fish. Arctic floes has way to many jelly fish. It’s basically not worth playing there because your profit will be terrible. I also have a problem with the chainsaw/boost lure. Once you start boosting to get through fish, the game starts spawning so many fish that you cant stop boosting till almost all your fuel is gone. Maelstrom has segments with so many clusters of fish that you are forced to use fuel to boost. You shouldn’t be forced to use boost especially for very long when you want to go 1000m and further. I was able to get very far in the old game but I can’t seem to get past 700m in this one. Over all the game is fun but it has many issues making it annoying to play.

Great remaster with some minor issues

Gorgeous remaster of the original with a lot of cool ideas. The fishing pro tour is especially great for keeping the replay value high, as it gives you a reason to keep playing even after the “end”. Further, the new game plus feature is a great way to encourage repeat playthoughs, though it seems unclear if there’s any reason to go higher than new game plus 1. Unfortunately, as others have noted, the game definitely causes my device to heat up quick quickly. Additionally the haptics and tilt controls for moving the hook can be especially finicky, and this makes it difficult to play the game without tilting your phone at some extreme angles. Overall a great remaster though, super cool to see this available to play on newer devices since the original is basically unplayable on modern iPhones with weird resolution issues. Looking forward to future updates with this one.

I was so excited!

I used to love this game so I was so excited to see it come back, especially on Apple Arcade. Now that I’ve played this remake, I’m severely disappointed. There isn’t much new stuff in the game, there is performance issues on my 14 Pro Max, the tilt control doesn’t work right, and the new pro fishing tournament is a joke. More time should have been spent on the controls, more seas, and tons of new fish, but instead we got a modernized version of the old game with a bunch of useless “features”. Please, for the love of god, fix the tilt controls or at least give us the option to use our finger instead! I was able to reach the bottom of the Artic Flows one time. Ever since, I cannot again. I’ve spent at least 4 hours trying with all the upgrades, but I can’t. Too many jelly fish and no matter how I tilt my phone, I cannot move fast enough. I don’t know if this is a game issue or my phone, but it’s terrible. Im putting this game down for awhile and I hope the devs start focusing on the controls.

Extremely nice controls and an overall fun gameplay experience

I ADORE this game. While it did take me a second to get used to the controls, once I did they felt extremely smooth and feels like second nature to me. The art is also very cool looking with nice animations. And it has a pretty neat twist end. Tho I can’t say anything about the music or sound design in general since I mute all apps I use. If I have one complaint it’s that the shooting gallery aspect of the game can get a little tedious and annoying, especially at the start of a game or new game+. But they novelty of shooting fish out of the sky let’s me forgive it.

Eh the game is ok

Whenever I shoot the fish it doesn’t shoot where I tap Like when I tap to shoot it doesn’t tap in the direction I taped at. The controls are kinda hard to navigate in my perspective of playing the game. Can the developers remove the tilting for when you fish please?! And the game just tells you to catch five species of fish when ur fishing pole thing doesn’t even go far in the ocean, so it’s hard to even catch fish in general we can’t even get deep deep in the ocean. And everything is just so expensive in the shop! Like maybe the developers can make easy tasks for us to when we complete it we get some extra bucks or something idk cuz, I just started this game and everything is just too expensive maybe lower the prices for the fishing gear….

Fun but has performance issues

This brings me back to the good old days of playing the original. It’s great looking and the gameplay is very fun and the bit of new content compared to the original is definitely welcome. However, there are some serious performance issues. I am playing on iPhone 12 Pro Max and this game lags and has bad lag spikes constantly. It is also an absolute beast at destroying your battery life. There seriously need to be better improvements to the stability of this game and the way it drains a battery. I played it maybe an hour or two on a day and it took 57% of my days battery usage and that was after I charged the phone twice. Be prepared for those things but otherwise this game is fantastic.

Like the original, but unoptimized

It has everything Ridiculous Fishing has and more, but it is horribly optimized. I am on a 12 mini and have constant problems with my phone getting too hot and the game lagging. Options to lower the graphic settings don’t work properly, and the option to disable the haptic feedback also doesn’t work. The controls also tend to glitch to one side of the screen requiring a restart to work properly. The 3D graphics were a mistake. The 2D graphics in the original looked just as good if not better and didn’t create a nuclear power station in your pocket. Fine as is, could be so much better if the developers put in a bit of elbow grease. Between this and the OG, the OG wins a thousand times over simply due to the performance issues.

With A Small Fix- Great

I used to have the original version of this game, (not on Apple Arcade) which was rather infuriating because you would have to sit through hour long ads just to play. When I saw this game, I immediately downloaded it with eagerness. As soon as I opened it, I was immediately disappointed… You have to tilt your phone to play… which isn’t desired in many situations. Every other aspect of the game is great but if you could add a feature that allows dragging the line, it would be greatly appreciated. That being said, there may already be one that I haven’t found yet, but anything other that the screen tilt to cast would be amazing. All in all, great game but could use some control fixes. Please add the drag feature, thanks.

Awesome Game! Also I was wrong about the bug

I just got this game a few hours ago and I am already done with the first level and halfway through the second level. I love this game, but there has been a few bugs I found. One of which is the bowling ball. I have over 6000$ ingame but even though I have over the amount needed to buy the bowling ball, it says that I don’t have enough, which is really annoying. (I found out that I was in wrong area. Sorry) But otherwise, this game is great and I highly recommend it to everyone. Keep up the great work! Thank you for your time and have a great day!

FIRST TIME PLAYING LOVE IT!!!

I was just scrolling on apple arcade one day and saw this game and said this looks interesting so i saw the preview and it looked awesome!! I downloaded it right away and started playing this is probably my favorite game on mobile but it better if not the best 1. More items, guns, accessories and reels and stuff like that 2. Posting on Bickbock would make this game #1 3. a reel in the shop that makes you just slide your finger instead of moving the screen. Anyways overall this is a great game and even though its my favorite it could go beyond that with the changes listed above. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quick response with a Quick update!

Edit : the new update came out quick and fixed my problem. The game is fantastic and my only gripe was the haptics because I prefer to play with them off and there was a bug that left them on no matter what. This is now fixed. Thank you to the developers for the quick turn around. Now I can enjoy this game to the fullest!! (previous review: I try to turn the haptics off but they are still on. Update to fix this please!!!!!)

Disappointed

It was a really fun game I was almost done beating it. Only had a few things left to buy. But then I unlocked a new place. Says instead of fishing the fishermen goes in. I didn’t think it start a whole new game. So all that progress was for nothing. It be fine if I was able to go back. But I don’t think I can. For that it’s very aggravating. I would like to get my old progress back I don’t want to start the game all over again. But it was a really fun game overall just wish It could have a back button so if you don’t want to start all over again you press it and it brings you back.

Fun Game Idea, Terrible Accuracy

The overall concept is a lot of silly fun where you use the phone's tilt mechanism to guide a lure down avoiding to touch the fish on your way down, but trying to catch them on the way back up. Once out of the H2ס, you have to shoot them in the air in hopes of getting more cash!you can use to upgrade weapons, lures, & special items to help you. It's simple & fun... But... It has terrible controls & accuracy issues. When you try to tilt your phone a tiny bit, it zooms across the screen, making you hit or miss fish you were trying to avoid or catch. Even worse is when you try to shoot your gu, it ignores your taps, shooting in the completely wrong spot that misses the fish & shoots things like jelly fish you're trying to avoid. This is the same problem I've found in many Arcade games; they're interesting concepts that are executed poorly &/or are buggy messes. It feels like an excuse to get a NEW game added, w/o doing the work to make sure it works or is up to Apple's supposedly "high standards."

Don’t buy the knife

That’s my biggest tip. The knife lets you cut your line by swiping across the screen. If I’d known this ahead of time I would’ve anticipated the problem: essentially makes it so you can’t boost on the way up without inadvertently cutting loose everything you’ve caught. This isn’t a big issue at first but gets worse as you upgrade. Luckily there’s a new game+ that resets your purchases so I won’t make that mistake again. I tweaked the sensitively, tried playing differently, always cut the line. Argh Aside from that it’s good stuff. Some of the descriptions are hilarious. Worth the $0 list price fo sho

Would be better with control options

The game only lets you control the lure by moving your phone left and right, the problem is, this technology isn’t perfect, so you get times where the lure shoots across the screen and times where it doesn’t move at all. Every time this happens and I mess up, I don’t feel like I could have done better with practice, but rather, a problem with the technology. It could have made a fun and funny game way more enjoyable. It’s also an accessibility issue, as some people are unable to keep their hands steady and thus, due to these controls, not be able to enjoy this game properly.

Great but battery drainer

I love this app so much. It is fun and silly and finding all the fish is very entertaining. The only issue I have with it is that whenever I play it, my battery drains incredibly fast. For a game that appears to have fairly simple graphics I find it surprising that it does that and I wish it was optimized more so that I could play it for more that a couple minutes at a time, even with the fps cap as low as it can be and other settings checked off that should help with optimization. Other than that it is great fun and runs smoothly. Would recommend!!

Love it but one problem

I love this game it is amazing in so many ways but they should add control options because sometimes the controls completely bug out making it very annoying this especially happens when your phone is at 1% but that’s not a big issue but it is a big issue when it just randomly does it Edit: thanks devs for responding and the game has gotten a lot better from since I left this review

Great game with frustrating bugs

The game itself is great. Super fun time overall. I can’t play it for more than a minute or two though. My iPhone 12 Pro Max has FPS stutters, lag, and some extreme heat generated when playing this. The graphics are fine for what they are, but it shouldn’t be causing that much problem. Not only that, but when you turn down the graphics settings to try and fix the issues, they frequently reset themselves the next time you open the app. I’d love if they fixed the performance issues, but barring that, at least make the graphics settings actually save.

I wish I could give it more stars but…

This game is quite fun, the upgrades are all super unique and fun to try out and getting into deeper waters can actually be a bit of a challenge. But with that being said, this game EATS battery and makes your phone extremely hot. I was playing the game for under ten minutes and lost 13% battery, I have an iPhone 12 which I know isn’t the best phone but still! It makes me upset because this game is essentially unplayable for me because of the battery usage. This game has the potential to be quite good if the devs can change a few key issues.

Controls need more options and need tuning

The game itself is great, though the controls need more options and need tuning. 1: There needs to be a touch control options for fishing as opposed to using the gyro. Since you touch the screen to do things like use your chainsaw lure, you could maybe add a translucent slider of some kind on the screen for moving back and forth. 2: The gyro controls do not work when you are laying down in bed and playing this game. Try laying completely down on your back, holding your phone, and trying to fish with the gyro controls. It’s wonky as heck!

Move the hook by finger

It a great a game good qulity and everything but problem is that it hard to rotate or move your phone especially when you trying to go deep water. Best if do fix it but if not it would be hard for other player to play this game especially when it come to moving your phone around. Best if you could put it in the setting to control “rotate phone” or “finger touch to move the hook”. I would love to keep playing this game if it has that setting. Hopefully in the future it does.

Great Remaster

Although they’ve removed stuff from the remaster, they’ve also improved stuff in the remaster, both versions are good in there own ways, and the original still holds up to this day, but overall from playing both games the “EX” version is definitely better, this game is great for new and returning players, and it’s a great game to kill time I loved the original and the remaster is great, I wish I could give the remaster a 6/5 stars.

Loved this game back in the day . Just one fix needed

This game was so much fun back in the day then the developers just stopped updating it . So glad to see it back . The only thing I’d love to see is a control option that doesn’t involve the gyroscope . I might be mistaken but in the original you could change it so you could control the “reeling in” by holding your finger on the hook and moving it side to side on the way up . I hate using the gyroscope so it would be amazing if the devs could add this control feature .

The developers are amazing and got back to my original review in a timely manner. Thanks! I am so frustrated because I LOVED this game, especially the pro fishing tour. The last 3 weeks it just keeps saying that it could find todays date but it never loads. It’s really frustrating

Game Center Can Eat My Shorts

The original Ridiculous Fishing was one of my favorite iOS games of all time, and I was ecstatic to play the new EX version. *Game Center pop-ups every 2.3 seconds.* “Okay, I’ll just sign out.” *Game Center asks me to sign back in.* “Okay, let’s Google how to disable Game Center entirely.” *Game Center doesn’t give a rip whether you want to play your game in peace—sign in and get these intrusive notifications, or stay signed out and get these other intrusive notifications instead.* “Aaannd… uninstall.” Sorry, devs—I’d easily pay $20+ to play a new version of Ridiculous Fishing, but I can’t deal with Game Center. Best of luck.

I like the game but it has some glitches

I really like the game but it’s very annoying that it has way more jellyfish on my line than I really catch! But this time I actually did it I got all the way back to the top without grabbing any jellyfish at all and it had so so many jellyfish in the air making me lose money with is messed up! That’s not fair that it gives me jellyfish even when I didn’t grab a single one and now I know those other times it was the game giving me way more than I caught so stupid they need to fix this crap!

4 star because…

It is a very amazing game but it takes a long time to get your hook to the surface sometimes and kinda gets boring after a while there can be a lot of chaos down in the sea other wise it’s an amazing game mostly calming and it is kindove addictive If you like fishing irl then this is the game for you! There’s more good sides than bad sides to the game unless there’s a new update things might change a bit HIGHLY RECOMENDED! developer please respond it whould make my day for a week straight if that makes sense!

I have a major issue but love the game

So basically, I did the little restart after reaching the bottom of the arctic flows and eventually got to a point where I unlocked eaglmen rank. When I went to go there, it didn’t give me it and instead said that I had to start over and collect 14 new fish again. I wouldn’t have a problem doing this, but it said that I’d still had the fish I collected as still there. Someone help pls I have a 20 hour road-trip tomorrow

Amazing but needs a feature

The game is amazing without a doubt there is no bugs no problems everything looks nice even the tilting works but I was wondering if t You could add a joy stick option as tilting sometimes is glitchy at times and a joy stick would be perfect to solve this anyways I hope you keep developing this game and even more in the future its truly amazing!

Great game but…

I thoroughly enjoy this game but there is a major problem with getting the moab. A couple updates ago, there was a problem where the Moab would register as a normal fish and would slowly sink lower and my line was rising, and it would prevent me to catch anything during the shooting sequence. Since the new update, now the problem is I CANT CATCH THE ANKH OR SCEPTER IF I SOMEHOW MANAGE TO CATCH THE ANKH. please fix this I want the 50,000 gold reward 😔

Has some bugs, battery hog

I love the game, but there are bugs, the most serious of which is that turning off haptics in settings doesn’t do anything. Because of this the game drains battery extremely quickly and causes excessive heating. The vibration from the double mini guns is fun, but I don’t want my phone to explode. A couple other bugs: In New Game +2 i have purchased the 700m line twice, but it still shows I need to purchase it. Also, Billy was somehow wearing the jet hat long before I purchased it.

performance

First off I love your game it’s really entertaining and has a lot of replayability. that said there is one thing I can think that could be made better . performance, I assume that’s the reason my phone heats up and it drops to like 2 frames a second some times. especially when I get over a thousand in the mailstorm, the game becomes unresponsive and laggy making it unplayable.

Only 2 stars for 1 certain reason.

By all means, this game is AMAZING & ADDICTIVE & would get 5 stars, however I just downloaded today & finally got Pro Fishing Tour unlocked….HERE is why I give 2 stars, I literally cannot access the pro fishing tour & just get the message “connect to internet cannot confirm the date”. I have reset my phone, closed out and opened back up the app, tried on LTE & even went as far to delete & redownload with no luck. Doubt this will be resolved on my end & don’t know if it will be on their end soon…was really looking forward to it as well

One major problem

This all around is an amazing remake of the classic game, BUT you have to move your actual device to control the lure. So it makes for very inconsistent gameplay because the feature is not meant for games. And even if the feature was accurate and not laggy playing on the car is still a nightmare. Please make a option to just control it with your finger instead of tilt control. Thank you

Incredibly engaging game!

Pretty great! I have only played for a couple of days and am already ’hooked’ 😅(see what I did there?) The graphics and game mechanics are top notch, and provide a simple but immersive experience! The game makes excellent use of tilt controls, something that isn’t used in most games. A little surprised it’s rated 12+, could easily have been 9+ as there is little offensive content.

Perfect remaster of a classic

I almost couldn’t believe it when I saw this game on Apple Arcade! I was just trying to play the original a few days ago but discovered it doesn’t play nice with modern iPhones pretty quickly. This is a fantastic remastering of the original with a beautiful fresh coat of paint that is faithful to the original style. If you’ve never played this game before, get to it!

Literally no way to save...

Was actually really fun for a couple hours and got to the third location, but when I relaunched the app the next day, I had lost all progress and the save file wasn't there anymore. After looking into it and trying on my laptop as well, it seems like there is literally no way to save the game, whether you force quit or manually quit using the menu. Hopefully I'm just being an idiot and missing something, or it is quickly updated, because there is no way for me to play the game right now, which is too bad since I did enjoy it for the few hours I lost.

Stuck on Fly Fishing on 13 Mini

Update! The developer was very quick to get back to me and suggested switching to “hold to cast” mid run in the settings as a way to be able to tap on the phone and get back to the main menu. I love this game but the Fly Fishing update does not allow players on iPhone minis to get back to the main menu. Restarting the app doesn’t help with this so Fly Fishing is the only level I’m able to play on now.

First time playing wish touch control was a thing

This is my first time playing ever. The game seems like a lot of fun but I was disappointed to learn you can only play by sliding your phone back and forth. I think it would be much better with touch controls as an option. Especially for people who might have mobility issues. Not having the touch control feels like it cuts out a lot of people from being able to play and enjoy this game. I’ll be putting it down until/ if touch controls are available. Thanks

Stuck in fly fishing - no way to return to the main game

I currently have no idea how to get out of the fly fishing mini game and back to the regular menu. This has happened before with other parts of the game and it ultimately leaves me frustrated and playing something else. It should be easy to return to the main menu and game from ANY screen. This time, I have tried closing the game completely and restarting, yet I am still stuck in fly fishing. The settings menu has no link to the rest of the game either. Do developers not ever play their own games?! Guess I will just delete it.

Fun, but controls are awful

The game is a ton of fun. Lots of different fish, well-paced progression, and a nice challenge. That said, most of the challenge is from the motion-based controls. I have lost countless levels because the phone tilts slightly in a way I didn’t want it to, or I tilt the phone right and the hook goes to the left. It would be nice to have another control option added. When that option is added or the motion controls are fixed I’ll update my rating to minimum 4 stars.

Prob fine but

Right away it tells me to “get my gun and shoot the gills off of ‘em.” I thought this was fishing not shooting. Might be inappropriate for young children. Update: you’re right there are warnings. I feel guns are serious, and to those of us with experience, pretty darn jarring. I guess I didn’t expect to use a pistol in a fishing game, nor do I see any fun in ….shooting a fish I just caught? It doesn’t need a warning for youngsters, it needs a warning for adults…

Destroys my battery and heats up my phone

Playing on an iPhone 13 Pro - this game has been absolutely destroying my battery - I’m talking sometimes up to 1% PER MINUTE of gameplay. It also, obviously, makes the phone extremely hot. I want to keep playing, but even turning down the graphical settings does little to remedy the battery issue. Otherwise the gameplay is a lot of fun, highly addicting. Definitely recommend it, but the battery issues are a dealbreaker for me.
