I’ve been looking for an ai video generator for a while now. I did. my re search and came cross RunawayMl. I was expecting it to be one of those rip offs that barely work and make you spend $30 to do it once. But this is absolutely free. Every month you have a limited amount of time you can generate art. But there is a lot of limited time. Not like all those other apps that give you 2 - 3 Ai generated arts a day. I highly recommend you should use this. And trust me, this is exactly what you were looking for. Not only is this super good. But easy to use. Two to three buttons pressed and type whatever I want and it makes it for me. It’s amazing! I think it also has great potential if any future updates and the new picture to picture thing coming out. I’m sure that will awesome to! Goodbye, you should download this!

It starts off great. Very fast loading times generating videos in first couple days of subscription. Then it all goes down hill from there as you see and experience the flaws of the AI and what they won’t allow you to do. Like generating a political candidate or celeb is not acceptable. That doesn’t even include how the AI won’t listen to you when giving a specific instructions like “wave at camera and put it back out of view”. That’s only the second to worst part to all of this. If you buy the top subscription you get unlimited generating however you’re still limited to only generating 2 videos to queue, BUT videos generating TAKE FOREVER! The first 24 hours of having this everything took only a minute. Now everything is taking ages! If you want faster generating, even though you have the HIGHEST subscription you must PAY for a faster generating times for EACH one! So although this program is fun at first, it’s AI is dumb and there are barriers that aren’t sexual they stop you from doing. Also feels like a scam if they just slow down your generating speeds after just 48 hours! Go find something else, just as I am.

Hey guys just want to let you know how to fix if you get crashing upon loading image to video generator: chances are you uploaded an image in high resolution 8k possibly even 4k, it crashes trying to load them all so dont upload anything above 2k resolution on the app, secondly go to your assets on the runway website/desktop version and delete the offending images that are high res. It should fix your issue, but still expect crashes if you generate a lot of videos in a row. I would do 10-20 clips at a time maximum and extends and then restart app so you have better stability for the next 20 clips

First, it takes me forever just to set up the app and go through an endless registration process where I am asked millions of questions, and three of my emails being denied because of not being accepted! Ultimately I had to create a new Gmail account just to register for this app. Next I am giving just 2 seconds available of any video! Next while the video is rendering and downloading, I need to listen to a perpetual endless audio loop on the two seconds of the video selected! Next after an ENDLESS waiting period just for this 2 second render to be finished, the final video that I just had to listen to it's audio loop forever, is downloaded to my gallery without any sound! To top it off, at then end of the process m, I am presented with a red warning screen like I'm gonna get arrested or something informing me that the video violates the app's policies in my account will be suspended! This is just a two second video of me looking at the camera and talking!!!!!!! What a freaking joke, instant uninstall!

App is crashing whenever I try to open the image generator. It might have something to do with the images I uploaded seeming to be heavy lifting for your processors as each image took a minute or two to process when initially loading. I was able to make video from them, but now I can’t do anything as every time I open the app it just crashes again when I click on image generator, it try's to open my previous uploads but crashes immediately. Just updated the app but still didn’t fix. Please help. Thanks so much. -Jonathan

I wonder how much better it is on a computer or laptop. I just can’t stand limited work that you get even for subscription. I’d probably use this all the time I’d run out os seconds to utilize. But maybe if I get a lucky bonus will I get the actual purchase of this program. It is extremely expensive for me right now but if I could make payments till I own it I’d be happy to jump on that.

runway ml is one of the leading ai software platforms out there, depending on what you’re searching for. with that being said, so far the app is great and well-established but the ai content generations tend to come out varying on how you describe it and what may render from it. play around with it and be patient as im sure runway ml is just getting better as they have a LOT of competition so if they wanna succeed, its on them but thus far, love it. love the app in general. gives it a crisp feeling to due to how crystal clear the resolution is at times. nice job guys but as for everyone, there’s always something to improve on. im here for the longrun runway ml. cheers!

I was amazed with the idea of creating videos from text that I payed the first month to try it. I was creating videos but those were not usable at all (weird movements from people, incorrect object shown instead of using the specified item, etc). I needed to try to remake the video, but trying to get a usable and nice video, I spent all my credits on trying to get at least one video that I could use for the money I spent. $15 just thrown away for me in just a few hours. Very disappointed with the subscription model and credit usage fixing the videos. Not trying again for another year when it gets better so I don’t throw the money only to try to fix videos that I cannot use.

There are many ways to do text to video, or image to video, or video to video these days. All suffer from some coherency issues, but all offer their own strengths and weaknesses. Runway allows you to generate 4 second videos, and restricts the content way too heavily. I tried to make a cute video of my niece seeing her new cat for the first time, and I was restricted. I recommend open source apps like Deforum if you have the time to play with them. They are more fun, allow you to create longer more customizable videos, and don’t police the content at all. They are also rapidly updated and improved due to the team of developers on the open source project. Runway has some cool demos, but I don’t recommend it at all right now.

At first I loved the app and the idea. I was using it to animate photos. The app would animate the photo to 4 second videos but the quality of many of those was not good. A lot of the figures looked morphed, had extra legs showing up, walking backwards, weird faces and gestures. What I did not like was that I wasted money on those and no way to recover the money. I would have to keep trying to generate the same 3-4 times before the app would give me a decent video and that wasted a lot of my money. Please fix this or at least do not charge if person finds the end result useless.

The idea of generating video using another video is very different from any other app I've used before. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about what AI could do in video, especially after seeing some experiments online. But this just feels different. I know is early, so looking forward for all the new updates.

Took about 15 tries and still will not show a full body and put a sleezy low cut shirt which was described as a professional uniform and closeup versus described full body view and still can’t seem to get it correct and closest it got was when I changed it from Caucasian to African American ! 🥺 this is exactly what Gemini was caught doing ! Discriminating against select races ! NOT cool ! Going to post on YT where people are sharing how great it is. If a software doesn’t give good results in a trial or limited version then forgot buying it unless they change from worse to great !

Currently you are offered one chance to try it out. After your one try (let’s say something easy, like one photo and a thirty two character description), you are alerted that you’re “almost out of credits” and are offered a subscription plan, without even seeing your “test”. If you’re crass enough to request continuing for free, you receive the message that this particular function isn’t available. I understand the money grab up front: They need cash to rent the servers they’re running on, but why trust a few paid YouTubers’ reviews with your money?

This is a pretty amazing program that generates 4 second long clips based on the prompts you provide. I’ve used these clips to create short films. It’s awesome for that. But recently on iOS there’s a bug where if you save an output clip to your phone after saving that correctly, every other save results in the same video clip being saved over and over which makes the app useless. I hope the developers can resolve this quickly.

Unfortunately, all the photos I wish to feed this app are in portrait, and even though the extended options allow you to select different aspect ratios, that ratio only applies to the final output. The image importer will only let you crop to 16:9. Which would be great if I were trying to make a cinematic movie... but I am not. I am trying to animate a vertically oriented selfie, and I imagine I am not the only user that wishes to do this. As there are more Narcissist wannabe "influencers" on the internet than there are film makers.

WOW. I must say, I was blown away by its capabilities. This app is truly a game-changer in the world of video creation. As someone who has always been interested in creating videos, but lacked the technical skills and equipment to do so, this app has been a godsend. With just a few taps on my phone screen, I was able to generate stunning videos. The AI technology that powers this app is truly impressive. WOW.

We all know the saying… there’s an app for that. You thought there wasn’t an app for THIS but, looky here there sure is. I guess there is an app for this. I’m sure you’re surprised to find that out. Well, you shouldn’t be. We’ve heard for years there’s an app for that. Now that I’m telling you there’s an app for this, you ought to believe it. There is. And I love it.

Within a few minutes, I was able to create some pretty cool videos. I can’t wait to play with it more and see what I’m able to create. I’ve never been one to be particularly creative with my videos but Runway makes it so gosh darn easy.

Has this app actually done what the text prompt said. You take a basic picture of a woman with closed and say “ She opens her eyes.” Easy as pie, yet this app duplicates her, changes her appearance completely and she do not animation of opening eyes. This app should be considered false advertising! It will never do what you ask of it. I used nearly all my credits and only got one single short video doing something worth while. Don’t waste your time downloading it and certainly don’t spend a dime inside the app. Only use it if you like wasting your time.

After extensive tests and experiments trying to get your ai to generate anything at all, I have discovered it does not. After 5 minutes of waiting for it to generate something, and mutiple multiple tries, it couldn’t generate a single video with an image input. The input and output were exactly the same. Tried multiple accounts, tried resetting my iPhone 13 Pro Max (it ain’t my phone messing it up) with absolutely no results or explanation as to why. Garbage waste of time app do not install unless your ready to get scammed out of 15 dollars

I spent a while learning to use this app for the purposes of making music videos for myself. However, after Gen-2 became available, these people apparently got REAL greedy because suddenly, despite already PAYING $15/mo for the product, I’d have needed to pay hundreds of dollars for enough ‘credits’ to produce a single 5 minute video. Ridiculous - I’d have gladly paid a fair price for the capabilities, but there’s no excuse for jacking up prices on people ($900/year? Are you kidding?) and taking advantage of people that way. No thanks.

When using the img-to-video prompt, I had a lot of problems with style consistency. With every image I put in, as the video went on it would slowly degrade the style of the image to something more cartoony and less detailed. And there weren’t really too many options to fix that. Overall I was a bit disappointed. I saw some really cool results on reddit where the image to video results were fantastic and the style stayed consistent throughout. But i wasn’t able to replicate those results here.

So, I’ve been playing around with the Runway AI app, expecting a bunch of cool and different visuals with all the style options and settings it offers. But, honestly, it’s been kinda disappointing. No matter what tweaks I make, it seems like the app just keeps spitting out the same kind of visuals. It’s weird because the web version isn’t like that at all – change a setting there, and you get something totally different, even with the same prompt. And the creativity part? Not really hitting the mark.

It’s the only decent one in the market and they abuse that. You need an option to delete photos from your assets, and if you allow limited photos, the app should only be able to touch what u allow. Support center doesn’t exist. DELETE BUTTON for assets?, I don’t want u keeping whatever pics u want to keep without having to delete the whole accounts it’s common sense coding. The picture is saved into the app why???? Sketchy

the concept is great, but the execution is lacking for a monthly subscription app. I really think these “stable diffusion” type apps are great in theory, but the application isn’t there for any practical use, yet! It’s a fun to play with app that will likely be built into snap chat or similar apps within the next few months. I hope this company can find the “niche use cases’ that separate this from the soon to be onslaught of AI driven video and imaging tech.

This app makes video creation so fun and easy to use, especially as someone who isn’t familiar with AI tools. I love the design details and the presets that are available. I can’t wait for all the new features to come out!! If I could give it more stars, I would!!

until they make gen 2 available to the public this is somewhat of a waste of time for me all of the presets work really well in gen 1 but trying to diverge from those leaves you with footage that is loosely connected to the input “prompt” . I have friends who have access to gen 2 and the things they are making are incredible sadly they’ve been stringing everyone along for who knows how long. Wait for gen 2. GEN 1 is too limited , better off using an alternative.

Don't buy this app, it's a scam. I fell for the ad and bought a subscription for $15. Everything turned out to be of terrible quality, several times credits were deducted, and the photo didn't change. The $15 only lasted for a few attempts. I'm glad I didn't buy the $1000 subscription. It's a complete scam, and the quality is awful. I want to point out that what you see in the ad won't even come close to what you can actually create.

First tried RunwayML a few months back, made a few videos and decided to wait until it got better. Well on Instagram yesterday - not only did their account promote and run ads for Gen3 Image/Text to Video - influencers did as well. I was excited, jumped on the app and tried to make one. It was paywall blocked $15 for standard. Purchased it, only to find out Gen3 is only for text prompts? A bit frustrated and questioning why they would run paid ads on a feature that either doesn’t exist. So naturally I got to the contact page of the app to submit my issue - oh look another issue, it doesn’t send feedback!! I would not recommend this app to others and I would even suggest that Apple take action against them for falsely advertising.

Currently, login only functions in browser. If login is attempted in the app, it’s not able to find anything— meaning that the app is not useable for me personally, ymmv. When it sends me to fix my password, it opens my browser and lets me login. Login works normally and there’s no need for password reset. And still, the app does not allow login. Let me know if you get that sorted out! I would be happy to support the tech if login on app starts working in the future!

This app is so easy to use for someone who hasn’t played around with AI that much. I also love the little moments that happen throughout the app that makes my experience delightful. Highly recommend using this app for fun, or to create any work-related videos!!!

I wish I could learn what RunwayML does. I wish we could get paid while learning. They make your ideas and characters look so real. We’ll thanks to Runway, I’ll be able to make the mini movies I’ve always wanted to make.

Runway is a great app to make ai generated videos. It also had the ability to extend videos using Gen 2 up to 16 seconds in length. I said ‘had’ as after the new update that feature is gone! There is no extend option any longer. I tried contacting support but that doesn’t work either. I need this option to finish a project I’m working on as it needs longer length videos. iIt is worse because I paid money for a Pro subscription to get it done.

I have no idea how this can get so many rave reviews. The magic brush doesn’t work at all. You mask out the area of the video that you want to animate, and you get a result where everything but the mask is moving. For example, I uploaded a picture of a woman sitting on a bench with a sculpture. I then masked out the sculpture to animate it, and Gen2 gave me a video of the woman falling off the bench. Really, now. None of the results are usable. Bottom line, just wait for Pika Labs 1.0. It will be a RunwayML killer.

It lies on what the quality of your videos will look like!!!! Nothing like the samples it shows you!!! It’s never made me not even ONE good video!!! Waste of money, bad quality, completely needs to keep working to be better

I paid for unlimited. But now every single time I try to generate animation from images it says an unexpected error had occurred. So I’m not truly getting anything for the hefty unlimited price. Disappointing. As competitors come forward and AI becomes more common I hope to see the prices come down and the bugs worked out. I’d advise anyone looking into this to wait it out for now.

For a music related project I wanted visual content and after failing to get some artists to hire decided to try this. It’s pretty fab, a bit hit or miss but with the preview mode you can be more confident in what you will likely get. And often the strangeness is simply great. Visual quality is striking. This said, they just forced an update that removes “styles”, so I can no longer match previous footage. Major fail.

I WANTED to love it because I’m pumped on the concept and have seen all the marketing videos. This was so disappointing. Took forever, no sound and looks like garbage. Like what am I supposed to do with these videos. Underlying technology may be cool but I’d never post these anywhere. I’m sure they rushed the app out to match the hype but needs a lot of work before normal people start using this.

These are genius developers, I’ve done my research and even used the app. Ignore the bad reviews, this is amazing especially when combine with the right original photos. 12/10 buy the membership

This technology is so fun to play with, unfortunately the app is not stable. I’ve had crashes, and the last creation I made, which I paid for, has disappeared. This is so upsetting given the processing time. I wish they refunded you credits if your creations, which costs actual money, are not available to you…

The design of this app is very user friendly. We just a few click you can get the results. I loved all the presets, can’t wait to see more and continue playing with Runway ML app.

So far I gotten to use it twice on the web I downloaded the app and tried to log in it failed went back to the web version couldn't log in so I reset the password got an error did the whole thing over same problem I give up I sick of apps doing this

The app is much easier to use than the website and I’m amazed by how much the ai technology has improved in this app over the last month.

Hello, for some reason when I use the brush on my image it gives me “ An unexpected error” message (with or without a prompt) It also would be nice if we can switch the video quality to HD and not only SD preselected. Thanks

Not a well-built app. It will crash or produce errors without saving or letting you go back a step, so you're constantly at risk of losing work. I've never lost anything using the website. I've lost maybe 30% of my work using the app. I finally gave up today and uninstalled after losing all my motion brush painting on a new image. It's not worth the headache and just wastes your time.

I had a lot of fun, using iPhone videos from different events and using the text to make the way memories look the way they felt to me.

I’ve tried around 30 different apps and ai for generating Art, creating over a 1,000 images and this app is by far the best yet at animating images with director camera controls! It’s a game changer!

Can I have infinite generations for free instead of paying a lot of money? I think the app would be more fun if everyone had infinite generations for free, hope you respond!

It can produce simple videos when given a good description but don’t expect anything mind blowing just yet. Sora is still the top text to video platform but is still in it’s beta stage.

The app itself is good but what makes me mad is the fact that the 125 credits you get if you don’t pay for a subscription DON’T refresh monthly, and you can’t even buy any credits without buying a paid subscription to the app. If you aren’t gonna renew the free credits then at least let us buy credits instead of paying for a subscription.
