OK but not as advertised.

I previewed a lot of similar apps before deciding to purchase the life long subscription. One of the key features was the decoy password which was advertised as only being available with subscription. After the purchase, I immediately began to set up the app. Surprisingly, the option to set up a decoy password disappeared upon purchase. Also, I tried to do a WiFi transfer and the connection to my device would not work. Both devices were on the same network and the IP was entered correctly. Long story short, I am very displeased with this app and strongly recommend these items get fixed or consumers stay away from this app.

Designed to be frustrating on purpose

The app doesn’t tell you this at first, but you only get the basic features for about a month or two before they become locked behind a paywall, at which point the app is just a worse files app. I completely understand that the developers would require some form of payment, but the amount of features that become locked once the subscription runs out is ridiculous. I tried to recover my photos back onto my phone, but for some outright stupid reason, you have to have a subscription to FREAKING COPY OR SAVE MORE THAN ONE PHOTO AT ONCE. I literally had to manually go through each and every photo I had in this app and save them back to my camera roll, which takes 100x longer than is necessary. Why can’t there just be a single app that allows me to put a passcode on my files without having some ridiculous feature or caveat included? Subscriptions should enhance a service, not remove the most basic quality of life features from it so that the app becomes intolerable to use.

I love this app very much because i get to keep ‘hidden’ photos i dont want in my actually ‘photos’ app in ‘Safelock’ . Im so stress free and dont even have to worry ab someone going thru my phone and seeinf photos / videos i wouldnt want them to see. I like how it is a passcode u have to enter before you can go completely in. And iy helps save me so much storage in my icloud photos. Any photos i dont want but still want it there at the same time i can js put it in ‘Safelock’ 😁. 100% recommended this app if you are trying to delete photos but u want to keep some that are really important.

Great app, but problem with videos stored

This app is great! It lets you create folders, supports Face ID, and even let’s you add notes, but there are 3 things I would like to see changed/fixed in a future update. When I have a video saved on my phone and crop it, and shorten it in the iOS photos app, those changes don’t come over when I upload the video into the SafeLock app, so it adds the un-cropped and long version of the video. I also wish that when I add multiple photos, they all add into the folder in the order that I selected my photos on the add photos screen. I also wish that there was a way to have an automatic backup to google drive or something. Otherwise, it’s a great app and I would definitely recommend

So far, I’m loving it!

I love it! I can place away all my private photos without having to worry! The amount of lock apps/photo vault apps I’v tried to use only to find I can only add a certain amount of photos or folders unless I pay for the premium was always so frustrating! So far this app hasn’t pestered be about buying anything! The app itself is easy to use and not hard to navigate around- and it provides folder “skins” to choose from if you do not want to see the contents of the folder until you have clicked on it! It really is the package deal.

Simple, easy to use app

I like the simplicity and how easy the app is to use. The ability to change the app icon is a nice feature, as well as connecting it to different cloud storage services. Creating a folder structure to organize files is easy as well as selecting and moving files between folders. The ability to customize folder colors is a nice feature. Will be purchasing the lifetime subscription for the app, it’s reasonably priced and know that it’s worth the cost as it will be something I will continue to use for years.

Complete Rip Off

Okay, the app has a lot of nice features and works well. BUT (and you knew there was a ‘but’) none of those features are free. In fact, even just the simple ability to password-protect your photos isn’t free. After your introductory free premium account expires, it’s noting more than a worthless place to dump your files. To get any functionality at all, you have to pay $2 a month. Yep, you heard right. You can’t even just buy the app. Just making the thing work requires a repeating subscription. You don’t get regular new stuff or anything, you just pay rent to these @$-:!;s just so you can have your files behind a 4-digit passcode. There are plenty of free apps that give you better than that for nothing, and even better ones for very modest one-time payments. Do NOT bother with this rip off.

Subscription based and dangerous

I put a bunch of photos and videos in here to give it a try. Not realizing it is only a “trial” of whole app and when trial expires, “premium” feature is the lock! I didn’t realize until weeks after that this app was wide open! Trial expired and in order to have the lock you have to subscribe to a subscription. So be aware your private intended stuff will be available to anyone on your phone once the trial expires. Without even a warning. Then trying to get my stuff out of it after trial expired is limited to exporting only one item at a time. Took me 15 minutes to export one item at a time out of this dumb app just so I can delete it. Just another subscription based app to hide photos. NO!

Easy to use and keeps my pictures safe!

I hate showing people pictures in my camera roll because I never know « what’s » going to show up haha could be embarrassing. This app has allowed me to store and keep safe my photos that Id like to keep private and also some folders are to keep for memory sake. I love the facial recognition password it’s makes access the items I save in the app hassle free to access. Also I love that you can create folders it makes it easy to organize! Love this app!

Best app ever for hiding pics & notes..

The best part about it is that when transferring or taking a photo from the app, you can delete the images from the original album that it’s coming from and save it in the safe app. When capturing photos using the camera within the app itself, those photos do not show up in your regular photo album same goes with notes effortless to use; I love it! I highly recommend downloading this app you’ll never need another one.

Can’t get contact back from the creator!!

I have been trying to get in touch with the creator for almost TWO years now as there are photos on this app I desperately need and I forgot my password. I cannot get anyone to respond to me and since it’s a 3rd party app Apple cannot assist me either. It would be wonderful to hear back from someone but that clearly isn’t going to happen at this point. It says in the description there is an email recovery for your password and that’s all the info I want is how to utilize that. (and yes I have the yearly paid subscription) Otherwise the app has been good, I just want to be able to get back into it. It isn’t a want, it’s a need.

Exactly what I was looking for

This app has everything I need to keep my adult content photos hidden from my teenagers. They ask to use my phone, no problem. This app is so private, I changed phones and can only access my secret photos from the other phone, so no one can steal your password, and login from another device. The fee is small, but the security is huge. I just downloaded it to my new phone.

It crashes

Generally I am happy to support developers with the subscription model when things are getting fixed. Here is the bottom line if my expectation. Picture and video browsing should be at least as smooth as the photo album in iOS. Nope. Video playback is a joke. It is guaranteed to crash the app. Two iPads and two iPhones later it is yet to be fixed. It starts off the video in this tiny window that is non-responsive and God for bid if you push that full screen window button - instant crash. There is also no way to stop the video or move onto the next thing without waiting for the videos to finish.

I was skeptical about this app at first. I have used other apps like this just to be disappointed. But after using this app I’m impressed, there are different ways to setup tho lock feature. The thing that was the best, I was able to download files from the cloud and other locations, and saved them in the app and deleted them from other location while using the app.I am extremely satisfied. And would highly recommend get it.

Finally An App That Works

I tried three other apps before I found this one. They either don’t work or their operation is convoluted to the point that I just wasn’t able to figure them out. This app is simple and intuitive. After installing it, it took me less than a minute to do what I couldn’t do after an hour of fiddling with the first three apps. Highly recommended!

Fantastic app just oversight

Great app and exactly what I needed, But there is 1 oversight 1.. You can delete locked folders without confirming their's password (i.e you only need to go through the 1st password —the one as soon as you open the app— and can delete any/all locked folders, you should confirm the password before the deletion should happen, could cause a problem if the snooper knows the 1st password) Other than that one oversight the app is perfect and would recommend it!

Lost pictures, displays pictures out of order

Horrible app, I even have the paid version. Don’t waste your money! When you place pictures into the app, it puts them into the vault all out of order rather than grouped together by date. So if you are looking for a specific picture, you just have to scroll through and hope you come across it. Then, only the second time using the app - I placed pictures in, only to find out later that they were deleted from both my phone and iCloud and NOT displayed in the vault. Good thing they weren’t very important pictures. Don’t get this app, and especially don’t pay for it.

One Fault

The only thing I do not like about this app is the fact that it does not fit the images to the screen. Some saved pics are small, even on my IPad Pro, so if they corrected this and zoomed the pics to fill the screen - and while they are at it, why not pay attention to portrait versus landscape - I would definitely give this app 5 stars. However, the other security features, which is why I bought this app, are outstanding. Make a really good app outstanding by fitting pics to screen!

Loving it so far.

So far so good I really like it , especially the lock I can place on the individual albums. Clean and functional IU is excellent and greatly appreciated. Also the app size is small which I love. No bloated unnecessary crap like a photo editor. I hate when a vault app have those things. Best of all I can share pics and videos directly from the app. Oh and I almost forgot the various options you have for security from password to pincode to passcode are A+

Impressed!

So I downloaded this app earlier today and already. I have been able to organize many of my files and clear up space on my device as well. I was impressed with the unlimited storage offer for leaving a review, which was no big deal at all since the app is great to use and extremely convenient 10 out of 10 recommend

Has adds... Still better than others

I just got the app, I'm glad that I can name the albums, set the cover photo, and delete the photos on my iPhoto library quickly and easily. And while it does contain adds, the simplicity makes it worth it. Compared to other lock apps that can't do it all very well without leaving a feature in the dark. I still just got the app so I still need to test it out more.

Great Storage App!

I mainly love this app because I can add things to the storage and instead of deleting them directly out of my gallery myself, it does it for me once I finish uploading them. By far my favorite feature. But I also like the customization of the icon and it’s discreetness, and also being able to choose if I use Face ID or just a passcode. Definitely recommend.

Perfect for me

Normal camera use for me yields very little I care to see again . I dreamed for an app that holds a few special photos that I want to look at in a special place. Wedding, grandchild, pets, family. You want to see my daughter’s Newfoundland dog. Here it is. (4 seconds max) This app is well designed. I am 71 and can get photos into it from anywhere, no manual required. Safe Lock is a real gift.

5-star ransom

I don't yet know what I would rate this app. My 2nd time opening it I get a popup that demands a 5-star review to unlock unlimited storage. At first I was afraid - I was petrified! When I was setting up my account, I naïvely accepted Safe Lock's request to delete from my photos app the copies of the photos I'd stored. So now the only copies of these pics are in an app with suspicious practices.🤔 I'm gonna back up my private pics in google drive asap.

Good app

I like the app, it’s pretty straight forward and easy to use, even has a backup lock so if you get questioned on the spot you can put another passcode in and it would open another file as oppose to your secret files. Better than using hidden on iPhone. Overall great for hiding documents, sex with the wife videos, and personal notes to yourself. 8/10 simply because the app icon can look more realistic.

Awesome for safekeeping of files!

I, like many others, have lots of sensitive material on my cell phone. This apps helps me keep pictures, videos, and file of my passwords safe, without ever having to worry about lost or stolen information. I’ve tried other apps, and they somehow deleted pictures that dated back years. I don’t have to worry about that with the backup option on this app!

Great app

So, I gotta lotta adult stuff on my phone. I have an adults phone. I also am around kids sometimes. They can’t be seeing some of the stuff on my phone. This works really well for that. It also asks if you want to delete the local copy saved on your device or iCloud if it’s there. That’s really convenient. 10/10 good app would download to hide stuff from children again.

Has thousands of my photos I can’t access...

I downloaded this expecting good things. My old photo app I had was a pain to access and upload photos too. So I decided to finally search around. Saw good things with it, did a few test runs to see if it would screw me over or not. Passed all my tests so I uploaded thousands of photos from my other app that I’ve accumulated on my phone since like 2009. Now the app decides it doesn’t want to open. I click it, it loads and crashes. I’ve been having this reoccurring problem now for a few moths and haven’t heard back from the developers. Don’t make the same mistake I did...

Does what you need, no catch

Love this app. I do editing work on pictures, and this is a great place to store them. One little thing I wish they had was a way to go into the app and not go straight to the passcode. If there was a fake calculator, or fake messages, etc. to pretend to throw people off, definitely would be the best one available by far.

Awesome Privacy Tool

This comes in handy for hiding things that you don’t want people to stumble across while they’re looking at your photos. Get your minds out of the gutter... there are plenty of normal pictures that we might not necessarily want to share. With this, you just lock them up and can easily get to them anytime. They’re still on your phone and not in some cloud. A+++

I’ve been looking for a really good app like this because I’ve been wanting even more privacy. So far it’s great, the starting storage isn’t low like other apps, it doesn’t ruin the quality of the images and lets you swipe through them as you would with your camera roll.

Good

It could be great but there doesn’t seem to be any instructions or tutorial that I could easily find. I also don’t know what the premium version all entails and you automatically get put on a 30 day trial of the premium. So I’m a bit nervous as to what I might loose after that. But we will see. I have high hopes tho!!!!

Better than most

I downloaded a handful of these little password protected photo browser apps, and this one ended up being the one I kept. It has all the features I needed and on top of that, it doesn’t show you ads every 5 seconds, so it’s a win all around. Hopefully it will continue to impress.

Clean & Easy to Use

Clean, easy to use. Haven't been interrupted by any ads. Lots of importing options; easy to set passwords for different albums, as well as choose an access password appropriate to your desired level of security. But my two favorite things, I have to say, are the clean & user-friendly interface combined with the lack of ads. Big fan so far.

So far so good

So far this seems like a great app. I love that it automatically deletes the photos for you when you import into the app and that you have the option to export them back out of the app if needed. The fact that it will allow you to have unlimited storage for free in exchange for a review is great since I would have been leaving a positive review anyway.

DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!

So I downloaded this app thinking it would be good because it has 4.8 stars right? Wrong! So, I imported my photos and it said it would delete my photos from iCloud, and I’m like ok as long as I can still access my photos on this app. Well as soon as I clicked ok on the delete photos question, my screen froze and I was like ok maybe it’s just loading… and the screen turned black. It then kicked me out of the app. I restarted my phone and it kept doing the same thing, black screen and kicking me out. It deleted all of my selected photos. So DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!

Went through so many to find this one

This is the one... I tried so many trying to find one that is easy to use but still gets the job done. I guess i would say it is the most function able to me. If the developers read these... a hidden folder within the app would be neat. Similar to fake password...

It’s finally here!

I’ve been searching for awhile to find that perfect photo vault. And finally, it’s here!!! Very easy to use. Easy to import your photos, as well as move them, delete them, or whatever you need to do with them. So many of the apps make it difficult to edit the pics. This is not the case with this app. Try it out!!!

Probably the best file locker I’ve come across

I’ve tried a bunch of apps already to lock pictures and to my disappointment many have had major setbacks. This one however has been really smooth. It also maintains the quality of the pictures which is just great. Would totally recommend this.

Terrible

I’m not exactly sure what happened my password is not working let alone it won’t even allow me to email the passcode to me to even allow me to reset it it keeps telling me that it is forbidden so I have access to none of my photos or videos and of course I can’t use my thumbprint anymore because I didn’t upgrade to premium and I’m extremely upset because once I moved everything to the app I deleted it from my photo album so I don’t have anything I’m extremely upset. I would really appreciate if somebody fix the issue or did something about it

Best Photo Vault App in the App Store!

While no mobile-based photo vault can be 100% secure, this app goes a long ways towards providing peace of mind for images and videos you’d rather keep to yourself. Easy to use, self explanatory, and a great example of form serving function, Safe Lock brings simplicity to locking away your private collection. Highly recommended!

5 star for unlimited storage

The app asked me to. It functions fine enough, I haven’t run into any issues so far. I’ve been able to create and sort folders while deleting from my library and I’m hoping that cloud integration is seamless for when I need to offload for storage.

Love it!

I love this app. I tried looking at a couple of others, but chose this. I can delete my photos from my phone, tablet, etc. if I want when I transfer them to the app. The app icon also is nice...it doesn’t look like I’m hiding something. I like the lock feature...there are just some photos that are private. And no ads! Just wish that the albums feature was a little more obvious.

MY PHOTOS ARE GONE.

for personal reasons i won’t be stating why, but my parents are looking to do a factory reset on my phone, so i put most of my photos here. i thought that i had my account linked to the app, keeping my pictures safe. i went to delete the app so my parents wouldn’t see that i had a secret vault i was putting all my photos in .. and.. they’re gone. EVERYTHING is gone. i can’t look at my gallery the same. all the photos, videos, screenshots and memories i shared are GONE. so don’t get this app. look for something stable.

Best secret ever

I love the app because if you have strict parents it can hide stuff very well. I have multiple videos of my friend that I don’t want anyone to see and I can hide them now. The shake to lock feature is great like when my mom comes in my room I can lock it really fast, it’s amazing

Safe lock

This is an app better than all those secret calculator app where it hides your photos, this app is the actual first app that had space for over 105 pictures that I don’t need anyone else to see 😅, the rest have a max of 45 photos & videos, so if you have a lot of picture and videos this is the app for you

Excellent features

One of the things that I especially like about this app is that you can delete pictures that you just uploaded. All it takes is one tap. it’s very easy to use, and you have several options for backing up to the cloud.

Upset.

Not going to lie I did love this app. But if crashed and I had to delete the app and it lost everything. So many precious memories were in this app and you would think after paying a subscription that it would all be there..... but no... I lost everything. I’m really upset developers. I even emailed you asking for help...
